Career

DiFalco began her news career at ABC in New York in 1986 as an unpaid intern in postproduction for 20/20, a news magazine show.[1] She was later assigned to “Close Up” as a production secretary. She eventually worked for Peter Jennings‘s documentary unit, producing shows on abortion and gun control, and covering foreign policy stories in CambodiaHaiti and India.

In 1991, DiFalco was stationed in Israel and reported on the SCUD missile attacks during the Gulf War. In 2003, during the War onAfghanistan, she spent six weeks in Khandahar, embedded with an infantry unit of the 101st Airborne Division. She produced segments for an ABC-TV show called Profiles From the Frontline. She has won several awards, including three Emmys, one for a story she produced on land mines in Cambodia, and a Peabody.[citation needed] She is now part of the cast of the Real Housewives of New York City for Season 5.

On August 27, 1994, DiFalco married fellow ABC News producer Prince Anthony Radziwill in East Hampton, New York.[2] Radziwill was the only son of prince Stanislas Radziwill and Lee Radziwill[2] (younger sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis). He died on August 10, 1999 at age 40 after a five-year battle with cancer.

DiFalco was close friends with Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who was married to her husband’s cousin John F. Kennedy, Jr.. Bessette-Kennedy and Kennedy Jr. perished less than four weeks before her husband’s death.

After her husband’s death, Radziwill left ABC News to write a memoir about her childhood, her career at ABC News, as well as her effort to manage her husband’s cancer. What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love (Scribner, 2005) made the New York Times Best Seller list. A review of the book in the New York Times called it a “bittersweet account” that emphasized “graciousness over disclosure”.[3][4]

In 2006, Radziwill signed with Glamour magazine to write a monthly column called “Lunch Date”. Her Lunch Dates have included former mayor Rudy Giuliani,[5] and Hollywood actorsAntonio Banderas,[6]Rachel Weisz,[7] and Alec Baldwin.[8]

Carole Radziwill is a journalist and writer. At 23, she began her career at ABC News working for Peter Jennings’ documentary unit, “Peter Jennings Reporting”. While there she reported on foreign stories in Cambodia, Haiti, India and Israel. She also produced stories for the news magazine shows 20/20 and Primetime Live with Diane Sawyer.

Her journalism garnered many awards including a Robert F.Kennedy Humanitarian award, 3 Emmys and a GLADD award. During the 2001 Afghanistan War, Carole spent 6 weeks embedded with the 101st Airborne Division in Khandahar. She produced segments for an ABC-TV program called Profiles From the Frontline. The series aired in May 2003. Carole then left ABC News to write her first book, a memoir entitled “What Remains,” which was published in 2005 and spent over 6 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list.

She is currently a contributing writer for Glamour magazine, and is working on her first novel, a dark comedy about sex, love & death set in New York City at the turn of the century. She lives in New York.

  1. Honey the way you dress, you need someone that will pick out your cloths for you. That outfit you wore on the hike through the woods in Montana. Or that white piece of shit dress you wore to the rodeo in Montana. Omg, I’m surprised one of the other ladies didn’t pull you aside and ask you where you found that. That’s just not normal the way you dress.

  3. Carole I have never posted on any Housewives. Had to respond to ugly negative comments Mother of 14 ( 10 adopted) children educated, smart ,voted best dressed in rural IN haha !! You really are a fashion Diva with impeccable taste Beautiful!! You are beautiful amazing smart & classy. I LOVE you!   4. These women, the previous posters, wouldn’t know style if it hit them in the face. Carole has more panache and fashion sense than any of the other Housewives in NYC combined- except maybe Kristen.
