So, who is Lydia Stirling McLaughlin?
- Lydia Stirling McLaughlin is a graduate of USD and was born in Canada; raised in La Jolla, CA.
- Lydia’s aspiration was to win an Academy Award for her documentary work.
- Her grandfather, Geoff Stirling, started the first 24-hour TV station in Canada and owned several TV stations throughout that country.
- Her mother is a former actress, and her brother modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch.
- Lydia co-owns SKYLAB Modern Art with her husband, Doug McLaughlin
- Lydia and Doug McLaughlin have two boys
- Lydia also owns SKYLAB Media Group

Lydia really comes across as silly and goofy to me. With that toothy grin, she looks idiotic. She was quick to jump on the bandwagon and back the more powerful and popular girls in the clique, like Tamra. She’s not much of an individual with an independent mind – she just follows whoever she thinks will serve her best. And her “holier than thou” attitude regarding her mother’s use of marijuana is insufferable also. She’s an uptight, pedantic, and very close-minded. She’s also very boring and I fail to see what she contributes to the show.
