“You mess with my family, you mess with me…”
Caroline Manzo is the epitome of a strong New Jersey woman; she is a devoted wife and mother of three beautiful “babies” – Albie, 24; Lauren, 22; and Christopher, 21 and she always puts her family first. Married for more than 25 years, her husband Albert runs The Brownstone, a very successful catering facility in Paterson, NJ. The business has been with the family for over 30 years and is one of the premiere event spaces in the state. Although Caroline spends the majority of her time running the household, she is in the process of launching a new concept, Caroline’s Kitchen, a collection of licensed products that will focus on several of her great loves: cooking, creating a warm, wonderful home and taking care of her beloved family — including those “puppies”! Always seeking to help others, Caroline supports many charities an example of a few are, Project Ladybug, CROC, (Citizens Reunited to Overcome Cancer), a Foundation dedicated to helping cancer survivors overcome the daily challenges dealing with this disease. Often described as a feisty spitfire, Caroline manages to have it all – family, friends and a career. In her opinion, that is what makes her a Real Housewife of New Jersey.
She, along with most of her cast mates, resides in the affluent town of Franklin Lakes, NJ. She is known to her close friends in Franklin Lakes by the affectionate nickname “Mommy Salami”. Her most memorable line of the first season became a pop culture meme: “Let me tell you something about my family, we are as thick as thieves and we will protect each other until the end.” She is known to use many sayings such as “thick as thieves” and “you hang out with trash and you start to smell like garbage.”
