In 2010, a city isn’t truly on the radar until Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise sets up shop there. And now that Miami seems to be the hot-spot of reality TV, it’s no surprise the sunny, Florida locale is the latest addition to the Housewives mix.
Word on the street is that the first season is already shot and in the can. A production source told E! News that the show wasn’t initially supposed to be part of the Housewives franchise, but a show entitled Miami Social Club instead (not the same thing as Bravo’s previous bomb Miami Social).
Because it was originally shot as something else, it reportedly won’t be as dramatic as the rest of the Housewives shows, but will be “tamer and sexier.” In Miami, we expect sexy… but tame? Um, that’s what the Discovery Channel is for.
E! reports the cast will include Scottie Pippen’s wife, Larsa; former NBA star Glen Rice’s ex-wife, Christy; art scene socialite Adriana Sidi; Venue Magazine editor Alexia Echeverria; public relations guru Marysol Patton; South Beach drag queen Elaine Lancaster; and charity planner Lea Black, wife of famous defense attorney Roy Black.
