Catherine Ashley Ommanney, London interior designer and author of her upcoming biography, Inbox Full, has become Washington’s latest hot commodity, and socialite, in the ever-changing world of journalistic talent, political intrigue, and D.C. housewives. This striking blonde suburban mom, is breaking into the inner circle of Washington, D.C.’s most exclusive social scenes, and making a splash in the nation’s capital as a cast member of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Washington, D.C.
The Londoner and mother of two arrived in the States in August 2008 after a seventh month whirlwind romance. Well known for her no nonsense attitude (a big part of why she bumps heads with D.C.’s nationally recognized controversial couple) and the ability to make a statement, anticipation is rising for her TV debut and first book. If Cat is not walking her three dogs, turning heads at the White House, or working on homework with her daughters, Jade and Ruby, she can be found advising on interior design in the homes of Washington’s elite with her British flair, and working on the sequel to Inbox Full.

For those who desperately want a copy of D.C. Housewife Catherine Ommanney‘s book “Inbox Full” (and we’re sure there are a lot of you), you’ll have to wait a wee bit longer. Ommanney, who has been pimping the book for months on her Facebook page, tells us its release was delayed because of technical problems.
“Because with its presentation (i.e. text boxes) there were a couple of tech [problems] on Amazon so that has been corrected and should be [available] again in the next 48 hours,” Ommanney wrote to Yeas & Nays in an e-mail. Digital versions of “Inbox Full” were supposed to be available several days before Christmas on Amazon.com, though on Wednesday Amazon listed the book as “out of print–limited availability.”
Ommanney’s book showcases text messages to and from her various lovers. A very rough copy of the first chapter is available on Ommanney’s personal website. The D.C. Housewife tells us she’s still abroad, currently vacationing in Thailand, but will return soon and host a book party on Jan. 28.
