Video quality on this on is bad!! But its cool to hear the crowd react and watch what happens when they call for an encore. This was this year’s talent show performance for the juniors and seniors. This was special! It was my birthday too. I loved everything about this day.
Did I catch that right in the winning video….he has only been playing for 2 years? That is absolutely amazing! He truly is a gifted and talented young man. I wish him all the best….it looks like a career plan! And of course to you MP, for sharing….can’t wait to see what his future brings.

The last video made me cry when the crowd started shouting “Gabe! Gabe!” WOW! That’s just amazing!! He’s so gifted and talented MP! You’re an amazing Mom and I know how proud you are of him. I feel like I know Gabe from reading your comments about him. I have a nephew Billy who would love to play with Gabe. He’s a freshman in college now here at the university where I live. Guitar/music is his life. He has a band and looks very much like Gabe. I smiled, laughed and cried watching all of Gabe’s videos and thinking how much he and Billy would enjoy one another. Keep encouraging him MP. He’s truly an extraordinary young man with a bright future in music. Tell Gabe he has a big fan in Texas!! 
Gabe can only be described as shock and awe. Wow just Wow! Gabe has a brilliant future ahead and I am so happy I knew him when! Go Gabe!! Follow your dreams Gabe and live life to the fullest, the world will be at your feet!
I know!!! Awesome!! I’m going to show these videos to my nephew on Thanksgiving. He’s an aspiring 9 year old musician…Gabe certainly rocks!! We’ll be hearing him in the future, I’m sure!! You raised a talented kid, Made!! (As you are well aware!!)

Gabe played the guitar on this one dubbed over the original. I do want to note that his Crazy Train was not dubbed. It was played with a backtrack containing only the vocals, the sound effect and drums . All the guitar on that one is all him. With the Foo Fighters one he is playing on top of what Dave Grohl recorded. Here it is

I heard unusual medley on the radio of Jimmie Hendrix playing Christmas carols. It was amazing but Jimmie got nuthin’ on Gabe! Gabe really has that much talent and you can tell he loves his music. I can’t begin to predict how far this young man will go. Sky is the limit ……

Awe thank you Pittypat. He sure does work hard on it. But his teacher tells him he has a special gift. A unique sound that other guitarist can hear in his bends that he has put his own touch to it. He does like to mimic his greatest influences though. The Grinch that you hear in that medley was pure Gary Hoey. See if you can hear it

No doubt he’ll go far, it’s nice when kids figure out their passion so young in life and then work so hard at it! Your young man already has his very own Fan Club, and no doubt we’ll be seeing him some day doing big things. It’s nice he found his passion at such a young age! Oh, and his mom is pretty terrific, too!

Gabe, Just came across these ‘new’ additions! (I am waaayyy behind on my reading here at SH!) You are very talented and your many fans here at SH wish you all the very best! Do you play other instruments as well? My daughter plays piano but can play a little guitar (not like you, though!!!). Is there any cross over that comes with your talent? I’ll bet so.

Thank you Nikki. Right now its just guitar. He wants to attend Belmont one day so we are thinking that piano will have to be in his future pretty soon. Momma bear wants him to sing too but… so far… no dice.I know he can because he has a good ear, learns most of his covers by ear. oh well… one day. Congrats on your daughter and her talent.
