Hi everyone! Hope You are having a great week so far! So I want to give you little update on the whole nose situation!!!
My surgery went amazingly well, and I really wasn’t all that nervous. Although I did have some last-minute fears about letting go of my old nose. Hehe! So I reached out to my sisters, Kathy and Kyle, before I made the big step that morning! After carefully considering and being well aware of my sobriety, Dr. Grigoryants and I (along with my other doctor) moved forward with my surgery!
I love my doctor. He made this a great experience for me! As for me, I felt quite reassured when I saw him that morning rested and happy. His surgery room was clean, haha! And the people he had working with him made feel safe. All in all, it was a great experience!
My daughter Brookie was there for me when I woke and she was there to take me home and tucked me in my bed. XOXO! My good friend Melody Ganouna of 20 years was there to relieve my Brookie. Melody has been a great friend to me over the years and has been doing my hair and make up and was there to lend support to me and to take care of me when I came home from my surgery. Then after a little nap, my sister Kyle was there.
She gave me the rundown on what went down in Vegas! I can’t say I’m sorry I missed it! One more drama I missed! Sorry girls I’d rather be getting my nose done! I was excited for Kyle to see me and my nose, and I was glad to spend some time with her. My kids were at my side the whole time after my procedure and I have amazing friends. That were with me everyday! The hard part was keeping me down! I had no pain, no swelling, and no bruising!!! So I kept wanting to run around and do things, but, of course, my kids and friends were encouraging me to stay in bed! So it was Battle of the Bed! Haha! Oh yeah and then there’s Dr. G! He was calling and stopping by! So I was quickly jumping back in bed with ice again! Haha!
I have to admit it was really fun to watch the girls in Vegas on the stripper pole! You go Brandi! I mean they all did a really well, but Brandi took the cake!
Because they were having a hard time keeping me down, I was really excited when Lisa’s tea party came along! Finally I could get out of the house! I was so ready to go. I mean it’s only been like five days or so, but I was still ready. Although I had bandages on my nose, it was just us girls so I thought it would be fun.
I was getting dressed and our new puppy Kingsley (who is a wonderful, amazing, lovable addition to our family) jumped up and hit the bottom of my nose! My bandage and cast flew off! I I’ve never felt pain like that!
Thank god, my friend Melody was there! Called Dr. Grigoryants, who was here within 20 minutes! Because my nose was only less than five days post surgery, all the bones were very fragile and not secure in place. It created swelling immediately — leaving a bump in the center of my new nose! But I don’t hold anything against Kingsley for it though. I don’t know what hurt more: when the dog hit it or when Dr. Grigoryants pushed it back to the center of my face! The pain was excruciating!
Once Dr. G left and I calmed down, I called Lisa and told her that I wouldn’t be able to make it. She was very understanding and pleasant. Watching the episode it was so nice to see that she told the girls I wouldn’t be attending. She explained to them what happened. Everyone expressed some concern and then continued on with their luncheon. It was nice to not the be the topic of conversation — unlike in other situations where they talk behind my back! Even as recently as Las Vegas! As if myself and my doctors were not aware of the seriousness of this disease or had not taken my SOBRIETY into account! My sobriety is the most important thing in my life. My sobriety is my life.
Then everyone went on enjoying — or not enjoying their lunch?!? It was so nice to see. Maybe they are really beginning to grow up and start respecting one another — or least me!!?? Made me feel so good!
Although once again the conversation at the table. . .I would have rather been hit in the nose then sit through that!
We had to wait several months to see, but the bump was still there. I went into the office and with a very sharp needle and small injection to the top of my nose, he was able to restore the original beauty that he once created giving me the nose that I love! it is still beautiful and I’m truly grateful. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY DOG AND MY NOSE! Hehe. . . and my Dr. Grigoryants

I’m not a Kim fan but the new nose is very flattering.
Kim’s new nose makes a world of difference. She looks great and sounds great I’m very happy her sobriety is so important to her…the way it should be.
I like Kim a lot, but she’s definitely NOT sober. Not sure if it’s the meds I’m sure the doctors have her on or not, but she’s definitely taking something. Having said that, I think a big part of her not showing up for these “events” is that she isn’t a backstabbing fame-whore. She wouldn’t even be on the show if Kyle didn’t push it. I think that’s why Kathy doesn’t like Kyle. I think Kim is totally over the camera fame thing an Kyle can’t get enough.
I agree. Kyle is an extremely negative influence, fame-thirsty and a complete bully.
And I think Kathy is the reason above all else, as to why Kyle didn’t want to discuss Kim in the limo, although as we know she’s never had a problem with it in the past. Kyle intimated at the first reunion that her family wasn’t very happy with her for spilling Kim’s secrets the way she did, and I suspect that perhaps her family has put their feet down on this issue with Kyle, and she is now finally obliging. The separate reunion episode with Kim and Kyle last season was very painful to watch, and even this season when Kathy was helping Kim’s daughter pick out a prom dress, Kim’s demeanor completely changed when Kyle arrived. Kyle appears to require complete loyalty from Kim, and we saw that in the difference between the way Kim dealt with Brandi in Ojai (when Kyle couldn’t be bothered to go into the bathroom and see if Kim was O.K.) and at the Moroccan restaurant where all of the sudden Brandi is no longer forgiven. Maybe it’s because I really don’t like Kyle, but I think she has a detrimental influence on Kim that I hope Kathy is monitoring.
Yep, there’s a reason Kim and Kathy don’t ever come to Kyle’s events. I suspect that big Kathy and Kyle picked Kim to death when she was a child star and Kyle was always jealous of her for her success. Maybe little Kathy sees it for what it was, after all, Kim was WAY more successful than Kyle ever was. Somehow Kim doesn’t seem to have near as much $ as Kyle…and we all know Kyle stole her house! Lol.
I think Kathy is very aware of her and her daughter’s brand, and doesn’t want to associate it with the Housewives unless there is something in it for them. As I recall, Kathy is more then a little bit older then Kim and Kyle and so Big Kathy worked hard to get her into the best marriage possible, leaving Kim to support the family with her rather sizable income for the time. So, Kathy is very aware of what Kim did for the family and is likely not happy that Kim is being shown in such a light, since Kathy herself has done so much to influence how her daughter’s are seen in the press, all be it with a few hicups along the way. To have Kyle not only get Kim on the show, but then to allow her to be shown in the worst light possible, goes against what Big Kathy would have taught them.
For next season? I think it would be interesting to see Kyle and Kim go into therapy. Although Kyle’s mother in law is a licensed Psychologist, I think they need to see a disinterested party to really get down to the root of their issues, since it sure appears that Kyle doesn’t think she’s responsible for anything but she clearly is.
Why not just get rid of kim. she’s unbearable and embarassing to watch..
I think this was the best upbeat blog I have read from Kim and I am hoping and praying that she is on the long road to recovery. I just loved the way she talked about everyone and explained everything in a jovial way. I am hoping that she means it when she says she is a dog owner. I am so glad that everyone was there for her and that she now has her new new nose.
I like Kim – I feel sorry for her. I think sobriety will always be difficult for her. Kyle demeans her and messes with her head. I hope she gets off reality tv and writes a candid book about her life – growing up to present. The good the bad – everything. Kyle sickens me. She and Morris are creepy….their friends, Faye, etc., are just losers. They trash this show and Andy please grow a brain. He likes most of the worst housewives amd most hated – I just don’t get his reasoning. Mego/Joe, Manzos/Lauritas, KimZ, Tamra, Gretchen, Kyle and Morris – ugh!!!!! None of these women make Bravo any money – at all.

Hehe coming from a middle aged woman is childish.Kim needs that dog like she needs a hole in the head.She is definately still on something.Total downer mood.She needs to get off camera and let Kyle go on by herself.Kim is just a storyline to make Kyle feel superoir to her.She belittles her at every event.

Just a thought. When Kyle got to Kim’s house I didn’t get the feeling that the woman with Kim was a 20 year friend, but that she was simply there to help out for the day. In fact, I didn’t notice Kyle greeting the woman as if she had been around half her life! These are some very strange people to be sure. Now, while I feel like I get Kim in many ways, I do not for one moment believe she has been recuperating without the help of some drugs more powerful than Tylenol. Although Kim’s sobriety is her business, since we have been on this trip with her for now three years, it would be really nice if she could at least be honest with the audience.
Agreed, didn’t Kim even kinda introduce them, like tell Kyle who she was? And yes, there is no way Kim made it without poppin any pills, especially after the dog whacked it out of place!? Please!
I, too, thought the woman (er, friend on standby) was a home-health aid. Kyle didn’t even acknowledge her existence. Of course, Kim is too dim to realize that hired help are NOT actual friends.
I think that perhaps the two converge in this case. She’s a friend who works as a home health aide, who was hired likely at the insistence of the Surgeon to monitor Kim’s usage of pain meds. I really wish Kim were more honest about her issues, but I suppose like Kyle it’s easier to throw the blame on other’s than it is to face up to the facts as presented.
I wonder why there is still no blog from Kyle? Perhaps she doesn’t want to court the viewers wrath over bringing Rancid Resnick to Lisa’s house?
Maybe she’s waiting for Dave Rupel to write another producer blog saying how nice Kyle really is and how the audience misinterpreted her actions! lol
LOL! Probably so. It’s kind of funny to see how confident Kyle feels that her actions are just on the show, and how the audience let’s her know just how wrong she is on her blog.
Overall I do not dislike Kim, she is much more tolerable than Kyle. It seems when Kim is able to relate to the women on her own, she is a different person and much nicer. But I also think Kim has held a lot back in regards to her addictions, I just have the feeling there is a lot more to it than alcohol. As a recovering addict, don’t they tell you to be open and honest and own up to everything? I think it is good not to share your entire life on tv, but if Kim doesn’t admit to all it could be a denial that is going to set back her recovery…
I’ve always thought that because she didn’t agree with Kyle regarding putting Kim on the show, that Kathy flat out refuses to let her use her family for the same thing. We always get a look at the presents/cakes the Hilton family send…….Kyle’s way of showing off…..but I do honestly believe that Kathy is a thorn in Kyle’s side.
I think Kyle thought bringing them in, especially Paris and Nicky, would bring a wider audience/stroke her ego, hence the contempt she shows when they don’t show. Maybe that’s the reason she craps on Kim so much. Kathy is closer to Kim and wont pander to Kyle
And who makes comments like she does regarding a recovering? addict………….constantly saying she may not make it etc. She wants Kim to fail to make herself feel better. She can’t wait to say ” I told you so”‘.
Kim is a crazy, mixed up kid and that’s why I love her. With Kim what you see is what you get and my feeling is if she wants to get her nose or any other part of her body “fixed” it’s nobody’s business if it makes her feel good about herself. In her own funny little way of doing things, I think she’s actually telling Kyle to F-off and get the F-out of her life. It’s about time she gets that hag out of her life.
I haven’t liked Kim ever since she ganged up on Brandi w her sister, back on “game night” last season. A middle aged woman behaving like a high school mean girl is dreadful–and truly inappropriate, at that. The only reason I think Kim gets such a big pass, despite her often hostile, selfish behavior, is b/c Kyle is her sister: and Kim is viewed as her innocent victim. Well, Kim PLAYS victim constantly–everything is Brandi’s fault, for instance, and she will take NO blame for game night at all, while continuing to FUME over the meth comment. But I hardly see her as her selfish sister’s polar opposite. Her hostile, entitled self righteousness– like refusing to forgive Brandi-(or even TALK to her, for a while) and her overall grudging, unforgiving attitude, is too much for me to like her. I also mistrust her–there is no *way* that woman is sober!!
@caitran – My thoughts exactly on all your points. Kim is a lying, self-centered addict (IMO booze and drugs). She’s weird and not fun to watch. Bravo needs to drop her, STAT.
I like Kim, but this notion that anyone would believe that she was simply drinking and not doing anything else, particularly after witnessing her many trips to the bathroom in one particular evening, just strains the bounds of credulity and makes her loopy behavior hard to watch. I would have rather heard that she was mixing alcohol with even prescribed control substances, and that she is on something else that is now being carefully monitored to re-balance her system along with therapy to help her to better cope with her day to day existence. We the viewers do not need to know everything about her life, but when so much has already been lain at our feet, it would seem appropriate to let the viewers in on specifically how she is handling her life and addictions now, since there are so many people just like her in this country.
Caitrin, I completely agree with you. Kim was a bully-bitch on game night (especially when she hid Brandi’s crutches). Yet, Brandi never threw that in Kim’s face. And Kim still blasts Brandi for misidentifying Kim’s drug of choice. Kim’s blog reads like a 12 year old wrote it. Can someone suffer from slurred writing??
I think Kim is quirky and funny, and she makes me laugh. I do believe that her puppy hit her nose. It’s nice to see her happy and keeping her sense of humor!
I know we have all discussed this at great length, but when scrolling down I stopped to really look at the picture of the table from Lisa’s tea party you can clearly see that one of the chairs does not have a place setting in from or a gift on the chair. It’s amazing how Kyle and Faye get away with lying to their fans saying Faye was invited, and that Lisa is the one lying.
