YOLANDA FOSTER: Yolanda’s BravoBlog… Not Taking Sides In this Group… Says “Faye, Kyle, Camille Kiss Adrienne’s Ass”… YoFo Has A Few Words For Marisa Zanuck, Too!

Bravo

yolanda david

Hello Bravo lovers,

Thank you so much for all your well wishes, it really means a lot to me. I am on Day 69 of my treatment for Lyme, still struggling through my days as the side effects of the medication are starting to be worse than the disease itself. But with that said, I can see the 90-day finish line and hopefully can start getting back to being the workhorse that I am. There is nothing harder for me than to sit at the sideline, not being able to be productive. I know it shouldn’t, but it’s making me feel like a loser.

I loved Kyle’s dance with the clothing  rack, very funny and no one can deny how beautiful she is. She is a true Capricorn and I appreciate her style. I enjoyed getting to know Mauricio, but I just haven’t seen Kyle walk a straight line in her relationships with the women, so I am cautious and not sure I trust her with my heart at this point. But who knows, that may or may not change in the future.   NOTE:  Yolanda seems more the Capricorn than Kyle ever will.

In this blog, I have tried to be consistent in sharing my experiences of merging into this group and my observation of how it all unfolds. Again, as I repeat every week, a strong opinion always kind of sounds judgmental, but please know it always comes from a place of kindness. I am certainly not here to make or break anyone.

I have never taken sides from the day I walked into this intimidating group of women, I have only taken note of how they received me coming in and how they treat one another.

As I have spent the past five months in bed, I am naturally going to favor those who showed up at my house and jumped in bed with me for a cup of coffee…

I am a girl’s girl, and I’m sensitive to little things like that. I guess the way Brandi was received in this group last year really affected her, so that’s probably why she made a great effort to reach out and get to know me.

I maybe wasn’t received with much love, but I did get respect, because I demand it. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in Beverly Hills, but I was born with a great deal of self-worth. Even though I have plenty of insecurities, no one in this group intimidates me.

Which leads me to Adrienne.  Intimidation with status and financial power is to me the worst quality a rich person can have. I saw Adrienne do it to Brandi, actually she threatened her with an “Oh boy she is going to get slapped with a fat old lawsuit” for all of us to see… Then she denied it, so why would I not doubt her integrity?

Brandi came to the barn because she had so much anxiety and fear about the lawsuit; I truly felt in my heart that I needed to stand by her, support her, and make her see that Adrienne is no more or less then anyone else in this world.

I’m glad you got see another glimpse of my baby Bella and her great passion for her sport.

The fact that Faye, Kyle and Camille kiss Adrienne’s ass and make her believe that it is OK to behave like that is concerning to me. I wonder if any of the three ladies have the true means to have a $700 an hour lawyer fight their battles with their girlfriends.

Lets keep it real here. The truth is that I couldn’t afford it, and I don’t believe any of them could either.

cow

I grew up cleaning stalls and milking cows. I don’t have a college degree, but I did grow up on the streets (and that is not Rodeo Drive) of many different countries around the world and survived because god gave me the perseverance and great intuition that I used religiously.

So if you read my calm demeanor for arrogance, you are mistaken. I was raised in a culture that is maybe to a fault emotionally controlled, so I have learned to step back, assess the situation, and act on that. I love the American openness and use of language, I just don’t know how to be that way.

To get back to the girls, Kyle and Lisa’s tension continues to dampen the room. I am so happy to see them finally communicate after I pushed them to have a heart to heart on our plane ride home from Vegas.   NOTE:  Did Lisa and Kyle hop a ride on Yolanda’s plane back to LA?

Like I said before, I saw a lot of pain and disappointment between them, but they are not ready to walk away from the relationship either, so hopefully we will see in the upcoming episodes that they can accept the different shape and form of their friendship even though they are not BFFs anymore.

I say forget what hurt you, but don’t forget what it taught you.

Anyway, at the end of the day, we’re so busy juggling life that we can only be a best friend to a handful. However, we can always have and enjoy the more acquaintance-like relationships.

It would be nice to see them kiss, make up, and move on because we’ve got a lot of living to do.

Taylor is getting best dressed at the tea party; she looked stunning and I enjoyed watching her. By the way, that was an incredibly beautiful tea party. I have never seen anything like it… Wish I could have been there to eat all my favorite foods! (Well maybe not…)

We all know Lisa has impeccable taste, and Ken and Giggy are the icing on the cake making her look even better.

Knowing and feeling for Dean’s mother, I can only say I hope Marisa will never hear a woman speak about her own son the way she speaks of her husband. We all have our crosses to bear and even in my life behind the big house, ocean views, and lemon trees, life isn’t always as pristine and perfect as Marisa says it is in her blog post last week. But I do wash my dirty laundry in the laundry room where it belongs and protect those I love.

RHOBH Yolanda Dryer

Anyway this is it for now. Thanks for visiting my blog, more to come next week…

Much love,

Yo

About Stoopid Housewives

The Real Housewives franchises have become a guilty pleasure for me and I've become intrigued by 'normal' people who would agree to put their lives on television for public display and scrutiny. What are their motives to divulge their daily routines for viewing audiences to approve, reprimand, berate, castigate, attack; basically abuse and judge? Oh, just forget about the above nonsense... the majority of these people are just stoo-pid.

  1. Bubbies says:

I love her line about keeping dirty laundry in the laundry room where it belongs. She also nails it by asking how marissa would feel if someone married her son and then repeatedly made such callous self-absorbed comments.

    • bsbfankaren says:

I was laughing tonight until she said that she says what other f’ing women only think and that she’d like to sleep with someone else. That’s honesty to a fault. I get that she is a straight forward person and ordinarily I would appreciate that, however, she doesn’t take the time to think about the fact that what is caught on camera is there forever, and given that this is international show, those words could be detrimental to her husband, let alone her. She really is a rather thoughtless person, and that is dangerous.

  2. Cable Critic says:

Yolanda keeps it real and she deserves everything good that has come her way. She sure is a better friend than Kyle could ever be.
Kyle cries about her friendship with Lisa going south, then shows up with Faye. Idiot.

    • bsbfankaren says:

I really, really like Yolanda and what she said about Kyle and Adrienne were spot on, although I expect that there is going to be a blog war of words between the three. As to Marissa, I suspect much of what she thinks of Yolanda is based on what Kyle says, since she’s spent very little time with her. However, Marissa really needs to sit back and realize that the things that come out of her mouth about her husband are really uncalled for and attacking those who comment about it isn’t going to make those words any better.

  3. Bbg says:

Yolanda is terribly hard to watch. NOTHING That she says or does is sincere? Her ego is the biggest Ive ever seen. Shes accomplished nothing other than marry wealth, and use that marriage to put herself on ANOTHER tV show.
I don’t find her physically attractive either. She never could have made it as a model in America, only in foreign countries.
Yolanda might want to focus more on her marriage & less on name dropping– her husband, David has been seen all over the map without wifey, and WITH a hot young Sweedish singer, Lisa Lovebrand! YES, IT’S TRUE!

    • commonsense says:

Adrienne’s Bernie is being sued by Paul, so perhaps he should concentrate on that.

    • sd says:

Just so everyone knows, Lisa Lovebrand just put out a song called “let me love you” featuring David Foster, Chris Botti and Paul Buchcanan. If you want to insinuate something like that go ahead, anything is possible but at least give all the facts. I realize that it sounds a lot less scandalous when you reveal that they have a working relationship but let’s keep it real.

    • bsbfankaren says:

A part from all that I disagree with in your post, you are aware that the top model’s are sent to Europe to make their names before ever returning to America? It’s where most of the top designers are, and where the fashion magazines go to find the latest must have’s. To say that Yolanda couldn’t have made it as a model in America isn’t exactly a diss, and for those in the modeling world, might just be seen as a compliment.

    • bsbfankaren says:

Bernie, if you are going to continue to post here, at least have the balls to come out and say exactly who you are? Your post looks suspiciously like the one’s I used to see you post in other places about Lisa. While I knew this was coming when I heard what Yolanda said last night, now that Paul is suing you and Taylor is even aware of the BS you pull, why not simply come out of the shadows?

    • originalcyn1 says:

Yolanda was signed with by the Ford agency which means she model here in the states and according to everything I read was a successful model here in the states. I would consider that an accomplishment in itself. True she has been married twice and to successful men that’s hardly something to be put down for. You should get your facts strait before you rant.

  4. Stlrfan8 says:

“Shes accomplished nothing other than marry wealth, and use that marriage to put herself on ANOTHER tV show.”

No offense, but it’s more than most of us have accomplished (when you’re talking about being raised poor and now living la vida loca in 90210). Not only that but I think she actually loves her husband and he loves her. It’s good they found each other. I love my prince charming… but it wouldn’t have hurt my feelings if he came complete with ocean views, lotsa dough, and an endless supply of ‘do what I want when I want’. I can’t fault her for the life she has.

I like Yolanda and I think her language barrier just promotes her very candid approach to this show. I could watch and listen to her all day – well… I’d probably get bored doing it all day, but… for the most part, I don’t mind her at all. Now Adrienne… I hate watching fish twist on the end of a fishing line and I HATE watching Adrienne twist her stories around and lie. She might as well be pals with Melissa Gorga.

    • Maudtherriault says:

Agree w/all. Have you noticed YoFo is more articulate in her non-native language than all of the other broads in the US of A broads? And as for Adri, do you think she is so accustomed to people sucking up to her that when she lies she expects the whole world to dumbly nod in agreement like her sycophant “camp” ?

    • WhoDat13 says:

ITA. And as for the name dropping….who else can she talk about? Those are the people she hangs around with. Should she make up ficticious names so folks won’t be offended with the “name dropping”? I find her refreshing and direct.
I can’t figure out Adrienne at all. Her lies are apparent as she contradicts herself on every episode. And why Kyle showed up with Faye…geeze. That’s when I changed the channel. That woman is such a wart and to be one of Kyle’s BFF says A LOT about Kyle.

  5. Sherry says:

Love Yolanda and hope her treatments really take hold. She was spot on with everything she said here, with one exception…I don’t think Lisa should even try to rekindle ANY kind of friendship with Kyle. Kyle is not worth it and she’s going to continue to turn on Lisa. Marisa is a piece of work and my opinion of her has done a 180. I feel so sorry for Dean. He seems very humble and such a nice guy, not to mention good looking. I’m starting to think he can do much better.

    • AZ Fan says:

      I completely agree!

Kyle makes me want to pelt her with lemons, just for not cutting her hair…good grief this woman..

Kyle – take your horrid husband and go climb a lemon tree already!

  6. nancyadopt says:

I agree with you Sherry. Kyle is really toxic. She is one of those people that thinks she is so nice and caring, but really doesn’t see her coniving side, so she will always let Lisa down. Kyle has 0 self awareness. Love Yolanda’s take on everything. She made something of herself as a model, saved her money, invested it..and married wealthy. But in today’s America we are supposed to be jealous and look down on anyone who has done it right. I have done everything wrong in my life, but I take full responsibility for the bad choices and I am happy for anyone who has made good ones – and especially for someone like Yolanda who I think is a supportive wife and friend. I say good for her

    • AZ Fan says:

      Exactly.

I’m glad she wasn’t at the tea party actually, it’s better not to have to see that garbage first hand.

  7. Girlfriend says:

Great post Yolanda, extremely perceptive and on point. Now you’re getting in there and making keen observations, I like it. Don’t hold back.

  8. AZ Fan says:

I didn’t catch all in the preview clip, but I got this:

    * Traylor is an alcoholic who can’t even remember where her child is. That’s what her new beau has to look forward to with his big catch – Traylor Trout Mouth – who lays an egg and swims away leaving her poor child to fend for herself (cuz if you are with Kyle, you are fending for yourself).

    * Lather – Rinse – Repeat: Same old Brandi-Adri-Man-Paul issue. Spew, defend, trash, recycle. SOOOO BORED WITH THIS TOPIC

    * BRAVO continues to diss viewers with this malarkey — THERE, I SAID IT!! M-A-L-A-R-K-E-Y!!! Probably misspelled, but I don’t care! I’ve got blood shooting out of my eyes with this crap…

  9. JH says:

Yolanda always has some lame excuse for her latest bout of arrogance; they get more ridiculous week after week. Oh I know lots of people love her, which I find downright silly — at one point, viewers also loved Kyle and Adrienne. If you don’t think Yolanda’s capable of being the next Maloof, I’d like you to go back to earlier in the season and witness the way she sneered at her own daughter: “You look like a…. *lesbian*.” I’m surprised Andy didn’t call her out on that clearly homophobic display.

Also, I wonder if Marisa has the time and inclination to sit around and wonder — aloud — what Yolanda’s multiple mothers-in-law think of YoFo.

    • bsbfankaren says:

Well that’s fine. Silly is one of the nicer things I’ve been called in my life. Everyone doesn’t cry homophobia every time he word lesbian or gay are mentioned. If Andy had seen her comment as untoward he would have. He’s done it many times to his various cast members.

The best part about Yolanda is that she hasn’t put up a front about herself or her life, unlike Kyle or Adrienne. She says what’s on her mind, even if some here in America might get bent out of shape about it. I find her refreshing and one of the few real character’s in a franchise filled with more then it’s share of bad acting.

      • sd says:

I didn’t see her sneer about anything, I just heard her say that the thought had crossed her mind, she didn’t seem sad, mad or angry about it. How many people I have known over the years that wish like hell they could have an open conversation with their parents about things exactly like that. Both me and my husband have always said that we would love our children just the same as long as they are happy and the person that they choose loves them and treats them well. We have said it often in front of the children we want to leave that door open so it ever happens our child does not feel alienated. Our daughter is grown and has a fiance but our son is still young and just about to be a teen, who knows what the world will bring. Having open conversations will not make your child feel like you are dissaproving it just lets them know they don’t have to keep a secret.

        • originalcyn1 says:

She didn’t sneer. They were snickering about how she wore Laker’s shirts to school everyday! My word, she was joking with her daughter. It sounds bad when you take it out of context.

          • JH says:

Yolanda made it clear that looking “like a lesbian” was a negative thing in her world. To frame it as some sort of open discussion of sexuality with her daughter strikes me as disingenuous, at best.

And we all know that Andy has selective hearing when it comes to the ones he calls out for their social infractions.

            • AZ Fan says:

Living in a PC world is tough.

Maybe it is a negative in Yolanda’s world. Maybe she referred to an unfortunate stereotype of lesbians. I’m not seeing how it’s homophobic when she cracks a joke/makes a comment. She didn’t say homosexuality is bad. She’s allowed to make a comment.

Just as Jamie Foxx can say how black people are the most talented people in the world at an awards show. Is he racist? Should I be offended? It’s his opinion and I could care less.

If you look hard enough, we can all be offended by something. People categorize most women in many ways I don’t agree with (i.e., how cranky we are when we get our periods), but some of it is funny. Crazy women on tv with ludicrous situations seems to represent women in a bad light overall, but I know it’s entertainment and once in awhile is actually entertaining.

It’s only an issue if someone makes it an issue.

            • bsbfankaren says:

Actually she made it clear that her daughter looking like a lesbian was negative in her world. She didn’t mention anyone else, nor did she say anything about all lesbians.

            • bsbfankaren says:

The only thing that was clear is that Yolanda said that her daughter looking like a lesbian was a negative in her world. She didn’t say being a lesbian was bad, nor did she say that all lesbian’s are bad. She was specifically talking to her daughter about her wardrobe choices while in high school, and no one else.

            • originalcyn1 says:

You’re reading too much in to a light conversation.

    • kel says:

I just took her comment as saying her daughter dressed less than feminine, I bet Yolanda would like her to be feminine, as she is modeling, etc. And a ton of moms, mine included, like to tell their daughters to dress pretty so as to accentuate their beauty, or snag a good date, etc. lol. And even if it was rooted in any homosexual disdain, which I doubt, so what, that’s her right too.

  10. Aint Pittypat says:

Yolanda is articulate , intelligent and gorgeous . She isn’t afraid to voice her opinions yet never engages in the squabbling bickering or pettiness. I could care less what Yolanda’s former mother-in-laws think of her! Seriously? That’s really reaching…….Call me silly but YoFo is the epitome of class and grace and a welcome respite from the climbers who are obviously green with envy. YoFo calls it as she sees and doesn’t play favorites. She is refreshing and exactly what I would expect of a genuine RHOBH instead of the faux wannabes foisted upon us.

    • bsbfankaren says:

      Agreed.

    • JH says:

Yolanda, who, according to herself, doesn’t enjoy talking about people behind their backs, made the shady comment about what Marisa’s mother-in-law must think about her. I was merely reflecting that question back to Yolanda, who is certainly not the Classy Lady she tries to portray herself as.

      • bsbfankaren says:

And yet Bravo requires her to write and post a blog each week, based on the episode she’s watched. Her opinions are just that opinions, and in no way take away from the class that she displays in each and every episode.

  11. kel says:

Yolanda and Lisa are leading this group as the most sane and dignified. Brandi is a little out there, but I like it. Camille is acting very odd, she is trying soooo hard to please Adrienne, I wonder why that is. She needs to take some lessons from Yolanda on how to appear smarter. When I start agreeing with Traylor over Camille, something is awry.

    • bsbfankaren says:

I don’t know but it seems like Camille is hedging her bets, since she’s not a full cast member at this time. She’s siding with Adrienne just because Kyle did and she’s a strong force on the show, then made sure she brought Lisa a gift since she too is strong on the show. This way whoever comes out the winner in this war, she can say she was on their side. LOL!

  12. I must say I have great respect for Yolanda. She is the epitome of elegance and grace. I hope that she recovers 100%. Here we have a woman who tells it like she sees it. I love how she told Marissa would she like to see her son’s wife talk about him the way she talks about her husband. Marissa has a chip on her shoulder for one reason or another. I could go on and on and on but I’m not. Just going to watch and see how this show plays out.

    • sd says:

It makes you wonder though dosn’t it? I would say it is jealousy but they all have so much how could they be jealous? I guess you always want more. Too bad
