2. North American landmark constantly moving backward:  Niagara Falls .. The rim is worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute.

  1. I used stilettos and saddle oxfords on my list. The pear stumped me…I thought maybe they dehydrated it and then put it in and it rehydrated. Never would have guessed the bottle thing.

  2. Wow, I got a few! I’m happy! And, no wonder I’m doubled over after I have a strawberry. I had NO idea those were seeds on the outside! Duh.

  3. I did SO….bad :(.
On #1 my only guess was chess. #2 I was stumped…didn’t know that about Niagara falls? #3 I guessed potatoes and onions. They don’t really have to be replanted but they do have to at least be left…I think? Should of known Rhubarb…my Mom loved it and use to plant it; hang my head in shame. #4 Yes.. finally got one Strawberries. #5 I did think it had to grow in the jar, but would NEVER have guessed the actual process…how cool is that…that they can do that?! #6 Dwarf came to mind immediately-didn’t know if it was PC? Also dwell, and maybe because I’m watching “The Big Bang” I couldn’t get the word ‘dwyer’ out of my head ’cause of the character with the lisp who can’t say certain letters. #7 Think it was 8 out of 14. #8 I guessed cucumber. I thought of lettuce but didn’t consider it a vegetable. I love cucumbers and always wished they could be frozen etc…..then I remembered DUH…The pickle LOL. #9 I had 7. All in all…I was a big fail! Thanks for the fun though. God…do I really need to go back to school Again???

  4. #2 The Magnetic North Pole is also moving, I didn’t know about Niagara.
#3 I didn’t know this about Asparagus, I thought it was tomatoes because after my neighbor moved, every year that tomato plant grows through my fence even though the new people don’t tend to it.
#5 I thought the pear got in the bottle during the process of the glass blowing. We have a very cool blown glass place where I’m from where you can watch them make stuff, not as boring as it sounds. I thought the pear was placed in the bottle before the bottom was fired on.

    • I wondered about the north pole too but I did guess Niagara. I also thought about some of the glaciers that are shrinking in Alaska.

  5. #1: I thought it was Real Housewives reunion shows…they can be quite sportin’.
#8: Was gonna say alien jerky, cuz it’s always advertised as fresh along Interstate 5!
Thanks for lettin’ me cut up a little…needed an outlet after a grueling day!

    • M.. is this how you make a house without lifting the pencil? First thing I taught my kids with their crayons ;)

      • Went to a different computer…it is. LOL.. my dad taught me that. I’m stoopid is as stoopid does. Can I put this on my resume?

  6. I grow lots and lots of veggies and some fruits….I have had many cherry tomatoes reproduce almost invasive cuz they sprout as the bird flies. I have had fennel reproduce now for 5 years with its own bulbs. I had some sort of freak brussel sprout reproduced this year here in Indiana. It didn’t produce actual sprouts til really late fall but I have to think that the extreme mild winter we had last year sparked that fenom. Interesting to see our vegetation changes with our weather changes.

    • Tomatoes can replant themselves if you don’t pick them all. If you let the bad ones go, they decompose and the seeds grow into new plants.

    • Tomatoes are technically a fruit, as are zuccini, summer squash, cucumbers, eggplant….when you eat the part of a plant that contains the seed is a fruit. It’s the ovary of the plant so to speak. If you eat the stalk, the flower, the roots, leaves etc it’s a vegetable. Grocers were the ones who began to call savory fruits veggies.

      • To me tomatoes will always be a fruit but I know a lot of people beg to differ. I will say this about tomatoes planting themselves, I was at the boardwalk at the beach last year by the picnic area and was looking over the side at the sea oats, growing there in the sand was a tomato plant, with blooms and fruit. I guess someone threw a slice of tomato over the edge and the seeds germinated. Pretty hardy!

  7. There are lots of perennial vegetables not just 2, I love to garden and grow my own herbs and veggies. I hope everyone is doing good here on SH if anyone is in the coming blizzards path, be safe :)

  8. Didn’t get to enjoy the Music “Fest” last night. Just listened to it and wanted to say thanks MsSh.
SOooo many memories and ending it with Jack Black “Teachers Pet” from “School of Rock” was great…. :).

  9. I thought each round of boxing is scored and there is a clear winner of each round, therefore you are able to determine who in fact is in the lead…

    • I think the channel hosts have professionals marking their own score cards but the actual judges scores are not given out until the end of the fight.

      • @ Bev and Cyn Ah ha! There’s the rub! Thanks guys! The last fight I watched Tyson was still boxing (pre rape conviction) so it’s been a while. Loved the music selections Ms SH, it’s always a good day that starts with The Ramones!!!

        • I still watch, would love to see Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr confirmed this year! That will be worth the extra £15 for Sky TV to watch that. I paid the same for our lad Ricky Hatton v Pacquiao, Pac put Hatton on his backside 2nd round. So Hatton cost me £2.50 a minute!

I don’t mind MMA either Cyn, I used to take part in Karate fighting comp’s, but MMA seems a bit more street but edgy :)

          • Ugh, Mayweather … I would love to see Pacquiao knock his loud mouth out! I’m with cyn; love UFC. Very entertaining.

  10. well I got strawberry right, I did know about the Pear thing but couldnt recall it intil i read the answer…to earlyin the morning to do this.

  11. OMG, I just got a couple. Is my husband right is watching too many housewives rotting my brain?
Other note , love Jack Black in School of Rock!

  12. Another possible answer for #8 is radish. Our county ag director has two 7 year old tomato plants that are still fruiting and I have artichoke plants that produce season after season.

Sorry – farming and gardening is pretty much all I know!

  13. I’m surprised by #1 (boxing) because it’s scored during the fight, isn’t it?
also, avocados aren’t frozen, canned or processed (isn’t it still in raw form in guac?)
