Yeah I thought the Project Runway finale was booooring. And Uli? She should have won…not gotten third. I would wear most of her pieces. Really, I thought Anthony Ryans was the worst one…nothing new there.
I agree. Uli’s clothes and the styling made her entire line seem dream-like. Anthony Ryan’s was very one-note. Every dress looked the same (in different colors). Super dullsville. I wasn’t surprised when he won because he had been the darling of the judges all season long. Poor Emilio was out in left field with his dated theme.
Yeah Anthony Ryan was the judges fave most of the season. You know rarely does a PR finale suprise me the way this one did. Maybe its just my prejudice against color blocking speaking, but even the judges had more negative comments about Anthonys collection than the other two. And they hated the long white finale dress he made. And rarely have I liked a collection as much as I like Ulis. She had a great variety of pieces, yet you could tell they were made by the same person. Emilios casual looking collection was all over the place…and the main print was a little out there. I dont hold high standards or expectations for the Housewives shows or other “reality” shows…but I like a competition to be fair. Maybe PR was…but it makes me wonder.

I really thought that Emilio’s collection was racist to the extreme. It just did not send the message that Project Runway has extolled. All the other designers have always used every race for their models and the designers have been all cultures. This just was not the time or place to make a racial statement.
I haven’t watched since the show moved to USA, but as I recall Christian Siriano believed his clothes looked better on black models. Then again I’m not sure why anyone would really care what race the models are, so long as the fashion is good….or perhaps that’s just me.

I saw the documentary and it was chilling. I feel great pride in being a daughter of a man that worked three jobs and went to school to support his family. I can’t imagine telling the world I am the daughter of a man that killed for money. If not for myself I would at least protect my children from this legacy! Well I have always been make-up dependent but thank you for your kind words. Sorry to hear about your mom and sisters. I know a bit about what that is like since my papaw now can not be left alone and my granny dont drive. So its a two man system between all of us when granny has doctor appointments, grocery shopping, banking n stuff and complicate things when the aunts and uncles have health issues that come up too. But I thank God everyday that I am able to help out since granny and papaw were always there for me at all times.

She still remembers the important things, she forgets things like taking her meds, that she just got through asking you thirty seconds ago if you wanted pie(and will ask about forty more times the same thing), she remembers her family members who passed away, etc. My dad had the alz and boy that was the most depressing time of my life. That was my first time really knowing someone with that disease, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone! His was so bad, most usually he didn’t even recognize us, he would wake up during the night wanting to go home(even though they’d lived in the same house for forty years). It was horrible. Hopefully, Mother’s will never get like my Dad’s did….that is one disease I really wish they’d find a cure for, and until a person has gone through it with a loved one, it’s something that’s hard to understand. I just feel blessed that I’ve been able to have my mom for so many years, since many don’t, and she can ask me the same question a thousand times and I’ll still be blessed that she is alive. Now, if she wakes up during the night and tells my sis that she wants to go ‘home’…..then I will really start to worry.

The horses drinking from the fountain at Ceasar’s Palace is a sure sign of a bogus story. Photos from the time show there is no way horsies could be tied up outside of Caesar’s Palace. Wendy moved in BEFORE my Aunt died, they told my Aunt she was Gramby’s girlfriend. My Aunt was an alcoholic and I think she was taking a medicine that you can’t drink with, I forget what they call it but it makes you really sick when you drink. It was prescribed a lot for alcoholics back then, someone gave her a bottle of liqueur and she died. That was when Wendy was buying alcohol for us teens, mostly Gramby’s kids and passing out tuinol too. Antibuse that’s what the anti alcohol drug was.

And again the dialog she attributed to Tom after she supposedly confronts him with it makes ZERO sense at all.
I’m not even saying anyone forced her to drink it, just someone supplied it. When you are a newly clean alcoholic all it takes is someone to offer it to you. I guarantee you no one made my Aunt write a suicide note. If Wendy was made to write one why wasn’t it found? My guess would be the FBI went through that place with a fine tooth comb. Why would my Uncle leave something that important (my Aunts alleged suicide note)in a coat pocket? He wouldn’t , it never happened!

No, they were Married prior to them going to prison, I never met her. I only heard stories about her from Family. If you read the amazon reviews on Wendy’s book, Robin is her other daughter, by another man she pretended to be married to. A weatherman up in Reno, she falsely accused him of molesting her kids and pretended to be married to him, even Robin uses women where it should be woman. Half those reviews are family members or Amy and Wendy using different screen names. Just take a gander at how many of them use the word intriguing in their reviews, all the 5 star ones do. The book was crap, one person called it life changing, really? Life changing, your life must be pretty pathetic if Winifred’s book changed it. How many authors do you know that go on and call people that actually bought and read their book names and say they are stalkers for giving it 1 star reviews? I have never seen an author comment on their comments.

I’m reading the comments on the book reviews and Wendy is absolutely nutters and she can’t take any criticism whatsoever (can ya say “narcissist”?). I did notice the overuse of the word “intriguing” and “women” as well as grammar and sentence patterns in the 5-star reviews. Wendy’s wackadoodle response to people is unprofessional. We can be proud if our heritage for many reasons, my Uncle being a killer shouldn’t be one of them. made, you did tell Amy the ins and outs of SH. She did not heed the warning and I think because of her lack of confidence, she wants people to like her. She is in consistent “fight” mode, which isn’t uncommon for people with chronic pain but one has to learn to dampen the urge and put that energy into something else. If a person is in pain and having those mood swings, meds need to be adjusted. Mood swings can be caused by so many things. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt on the pain stuff but I eggmit that given the amount of lies, omissions and inconsistencies, I find myself doubting if that was all a fabrication. The purse pan in on SCR definitely was pointing at drug use. I truly fear that Amy is heading for a breakdown of sorts and I just hope she isn’t going to commit suicide when things do not turn out as she desires.

I’m doing pretty good, no complications. I am over a week in, still some pain but I’m dealing with that fairly well. They only give you enough pain medicine nowadays for 4 or 5 days. Thanks for the well wishes.

Alrac, I don’t think there is anything wrong with expressing an opinion or truth in your perception about Amy or Wendy. That’s what we all do on SH about the “reality stars”. My guess is that folks are reading comments from Mary and you and doing their own research. I would be outraged if Amy was related to me. These are not things you brag about. Now all of the Hanley lineage is associated due to written word and this effects the young generation and generations to come. It is sad because children are innocent and yet, they are involved by default. Lisa VanderRump is starting to get long Vyle-like hair. Lisa is great and needs to look at how ridiculous Vyle looks. Vyle is petite and petite people should not have long hair like that as it shortens the body frame and makes the person look shorter.
