We all know that it’s a numbers game for any show to remain on the air. And “SinCityRules” needs big ratings numbers to continue on TLC. ”SinCityRules” will get the green light from TLC after the FOURTH of their eight-episode first season airs.
After searching for the actual ratings on episodes one and two of SCR, found that TLC is keeping very quiet re SCR’s ratings… from NormClarke’s column in the LasVegas Review-Journal after the premiere episode aired last week:
“It’s an ominous sign when no one involved is willing to talk about ratings for a new TV show. Twitter should have been sizzling with reaction on Tuesday to TLC’s premiere of “Sin City Rules” on Sunday.
Instead of congratulatory commentary, we got crickets. A late-in-the-day request for the ratings from Dustin Smith, TLC’s vice president of communications, drew no response.”
The show didn’t even register in Zap It’s By the Numbers Nielsen 100 list, and, as best can be ascertained, only 3,500 homes tuned into “SCR” in Las Vegas. Nationally, the inside word was that it registered just as lowly — not even scoring a 1.0 rating point — sandwiched in between two episodes of the network’s hit “Sister Wives.” I’ll report the official numbers when they’re released.
However, as Norm Clarke is a personal friend of Alicia Jacobs, perhaps he didn’t want to reveal the fact…stated by Robin Leach in the LasVegasSun… that Sin City Rules didn’t even hit the Nielsen 100 list!

A person associated with the show messaged me wondering if it would last for the full eight-episode run. I was inundated with text messages and tweets with damning reactions to the segments. Most attacked the women for ridiculously claiming to be power people of Las Vegas and fashion designer and Ukrainian immigrant Lana Fuchs for her “I Am God” remarks at a local charity event.
Even at the Bunny Ranch brothel, the working girls reportedly tuned it out in disgust, saying they were more honest in their profession than the women onscreen!
Now that it’s been established that the rating for SCR need some boosting… or some of Melissa Gorga’s personal prayer routine (Thank you, Jesus; sign of the cross; kisses to the sky…)…
How to get those ratings numbers up?
One way for cast members to promote their show is to use Twitter. Twitter is the easiest, most cost effective way for the “SinCityRules” cast to get their messages across! And, why not… the other Evolution Media-produced shows, the Real Housewives of Orange County and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, use twitter to promote their “reality,” too!

There is no way in the world those #’s for Lana are accurate. I have lots of questions too, but want to rewatch the episode to absorb. So far I do have to say I like the show.
I do too. When you watch it again. Listen carefully for Momma Hanley to say “see i told you” to the medium right after Amy has a talking head claiming she gave no info to the medium. Amy shushes her.
@Made.. To address why I told mom to be quiet is because I really didn’t speak to the medium about anything pertaining to me. All I gave was my middle name actually you guys and that I was in Vegas. I never gave my first name to him until we met at my office right before filming. I didn’t want him to be able to research on me or my family whatsoever. I needed to see if he was the real deal or not. When mom started to say something and confirm I hushed her cause I am a skeptic you guys and I know by acknowledging stuff gives them ammo to go on. Otherwise I kept my mouth shut on confirmations unless he asked directly. When I was done with him I was shaken. I was truly shaken as mom told me about my father winking at her. She has said to me when I wink at her it reminds her of my father. I went home and cried n cried n cried for hours after. I also felt a sense of calm come over me. It was something I so so needed to feel inside. Ask away cause I am after I smoke and go to the bathroom!

@made, I just saw you were introduced to MaryVegas. Who spells it Segavyram. Obviously I have been dealing with that crew for a bit now. What none of them bother to say is Mary is Carla aka Alrac. So that’s why it sounds very familiar and they keep saying the same thing. I guess they don’t realize that people just don’t go into the Witness Protection Program, have a pile over 2.5′ of newspaper articles, have more banner headlines than US Presidents, been involved in multiple fire bombings, linked to major disappearances, when on trial for other murders witnesses disappear or refuse to testify a police record 2′ long and have on their FBI FM1 sheet Organized Crime Verified Considered Armed and Dangerous. I guess they figure saying he wasn’t is the best way to make themselves feel better. Here is the part none of you know yet. My father went 32yrs without a headstone. Reason why, they left him without it. I went in several times and one of my nutty half-sisters in my opinion refused to allow me to place one and finally I had enough. I obtained what I needed to and now my father at least has that. ITA on putting him on a pedestal comment as well. I do need to go to grief therapy. In some ways I think that if he would have been around me he would have been a good father. There is a part of me that thinks I wasn’t good enough for him to stop but hoping he sees me now. Yeah you would benefit from grief counseling. Reread your last two sentence and really examine how jacked up that sounds. He was a murderer, so the reality is that he was not good enough for you. @made. I actually found him. They wanted to however I said no that I needed to find someone that I felt comfortable with. I did some research and from what I could find, Tim had the best feedback. I reached out to a couple of people who had used him before from their posts which took me forever to find their contact info however each one of them told me both pro’s and con’s. That is why I was so hush hush about it. I know there is a demon down there as well. It has attacked me and scared the living sh** out of me. He did say somethings however that were heartfelt and gut wrenching. I will share some of those as it broke me into pieces when he said it.
OMG correction!!!! What they didn’t show is when we went down into my basement at the office you guys the medium literally walked down, went stone cold white and said WOW this is heavy and intense spot. We hadn’t spoken to him about that basement once. I didn’t tell him anything about. He actually asked to leave from down there, do a cleansing prayer upstairs with us and to go back down a 2nd time before we started. While we were upstairs getting ready for the cleansing prayer Mom had opened her mouth and started to tell him that I was attacked in that office before by something. I shut mom up while upstairs and took her to the side saying I didn’t want her confirming anything he had felt while down there. I know the history of that basement everyone and I needed to see if he was able to pick up on it. When mom said that to him and I hushed her it was because of the statements she had said upstairs before we did the cleansing prayer. So everyone knows and understands why I hushed her this is why. I actually hushed mom a few times when she was confirming for him stuff he was saying. That’s why I got confused until I watched it again and realized why that hush happened!

I do know that. I have experienced so many things in that office. To give you guys a little tid bit about my office. When we were out looking for offices I was having a tough time finding one. I walked into this one. As soon as I walked in I wanted it. I couldn’t explain it but something was drawing me to it. Well when we signed the lease and walked through with the owner, I found a pic that was of it being built in 1929. When I asked the owner he told me that the office used to be the old sheriffs jail in Las Vegas up until the mid 60′s. I was blown away as I knew my father “Tom”, had been arrested multiple times from 1940 until then. I did some more research and found out my father had been in that exact same building down in the basement where the medium didn’t want to walk in to. I also did some more research and found out that there was a few suspicious disappearances from that jail and some of them were when my father was in there. There was a couple of things that the medium said he couldn’t have found out about unless he went down to the archives as these clippings are not internet available. It was crazy on some of the things he said. I can’t explain it all. He knew a lot and it was just crazy to me on how he knew.

@made. Awe thank you and I just laughed my ass off as well. Here is what I can share. It will shock you as to the alliances made. I get it. I understand why and I feel as this goes on it will change. My honest opinion. I think once other’s begin to see that wasn’t the path to take they will jump ship rather quickly. I know some have stayed out of it but others are still involved. Here is what I say to them. Be a leader, not a follower. Lead yourself to your own destination and grow from there. The twitter followers is exactly what it appears in my opinion. There are so many things coming out about that all right now that it is quite alarming to think someone needs to portray that to feel a sense of “need.” I am just happy my boys need me. LMAO… Oh Carla it’s called multi tasking with voice to text software. So I can walk around, do my stuff and answer these things. I sleep on average 5-6hrs a night. @twitterfiend, I have a few businesses. My primary business dealt with the financial crisis in Vegas. I first started out helping people who couldn’t afford to do it with an attorney. From there within months it went so big that I brought in Attorney’s and I invested privately into the firm to turn it into something great. A place where people could come and be treated like they should be. Not to be intimidated by the fancy clothes, expensive cars and to just feel comfortable. That has done very well. As with any business we have our great seasons and slow seasons. The other businesses deal with my passions. A logo/slogan wear line, a high fashion line, a management company and a hair care line. All of them fall under Mob Doll Enterprises. There is Mob Doll, Mob Doll Haute, Mob Doll Management and M Professionale. As I launch each one I will make sure to include you all in it. It has been hard. I won’t lie. It is a new market to me so I am taking my time and starting small with each one. I am sure they will do great and I am excited to offer the products and services we do! There is something that I do have a very strong passion for that I need to get going. I am one of those woman who discovered something that rocked me to my core pertaining to my children. When I found out I made a decision that most women would not have. I am actually shortening all of the names to end up being acronyms actually after the companies are established. Eventually they will be MB (with whatever entity it is) and my logo. Hi SH! I am going to comment and share some stuff with you guys as soon as I am done writing my blog for TLC this morning. I have been hit with call after call regarding all of this and I am fed up with the behavior. She started it and now I am going to finish it. Stay tuned as I am going to address so many questions and responses to what has become Sin City Rules! To make one correction now, each woman on the show has obtained power and notoriety in one way or another. It may be power in our home, our profession, our family and or ourselves. There are a lot of woman with power in this town and each one of us represent in a different manner. Here is my power. I help clean up financial situations for people in this town ranging from someone who may be unemployed to someone who is an executive in this town. I keep it quiet, help them see a light at the end of a tunnel and know they are not the only one. I do not think of myself as better than anyone else and I treat everyone that sits with me the same dignity and respect they deserve. I do not judge anyone to be better cause of the cars they drive, clothes they were or who they know as that can all go away within minutes. I have established a reputation as the go to woman to clean up the dirty little secrets that deal with financials. I don’t share my clients names, discuss their situation or make it publicly known. Anyone who drops a name I feel is insecure within themselves and needs that recognition to feel adequate. I have been asked multiple times to drop some of my clients names, to bring them around, to disclose some of the situations. That I will not ever do. To me power is trust and respect. Not the money in your bank account, clothes you wear, car you drive, people you know and use, a man you are married to and ignorance you display when saying you are powerful. I hope this makes sense and I will share on here shortly the real hot mess that is going on. Us woman have worked hard to where we are and I can only hope some of us can band together to prove we have made the best decisions in our lives to prove power is something you don’t abuse! @Hers. Thank you. I have been attacked just recently as I wouldn’t wear name brand clothing, I did my own hair and makeup except for sit-down interviews and I didn’t drive the nicest of cars. I never thought people would be so shallow as to attack me for the exact same reasons they were most likely bullied on in school. I guess it shows me that in some way they are still living their school days and now have become the bully. I am saddened that people would do this. I am more concerned about having money to take care of my boys as opposed to spending it on a purse, shoes, clothes, car or to party. I can be comfortable in a $100 pair of knock off shoes and put the other $1,000 up for my kids. I grew up with it all. I had access to money, the best schools, nicest cars, designer clothes, shoes and purses but all of that doesn’t define me. All it did was spoil me one way or another. I know respect money. I do NOT worship it. Big difference there. When we take off all of our clothes and look in the mirror at night can we say we know who we are? I know I can. I prefer to be naked and love the skin I am in.

@Made. Thank you for that. It hasn’t always been easy. I have had a hard life. However it doesn’t define me. I don’t want it to be thought of as an excuse. I make mistakes like everyone else. I am not perfect nor will I ever be. The difference is I can at least for the most part recognize my mistakes and do whatever it takes to correct them. There are times I don’t see the mistake completely and will become hard headed n stubborn. Eventually it will break through that thick skull of mine and I will say “I get it!” I look at some of the stuff going on right now with this show and among cast mates and say “WTF, Are you serious right now???” I get upset, hurt, mad, angry but that always passes and then I look at it and say you now know what, Thanks. lol
What has been your most surprising moment watching the shows?
@made. Watching the medium again. That was something I needed internally so much. I craved that more than I realized. When I watched it again last night I was sobbing. It really did hit home and took me where I needed to be. It resolved that anger in me that was eating away at so much of me. Since that happened I have been able to look at so many things differently. I have shocked myself. I am happy n that is all that matters. The 2nd most shocking thing. Hmmmmm I would say how it was portrayed that I told Alicia why Lana had issues with her and how Lana made it seem I was gossiping. I don’t screw around and when it comes down to it I will say it like it is. I feel as if I took away someone’s moment to confront and that’s why I was portrayed to be gossiping.
Yeah I caught that when she had her talking head about you. Wow. And keeping in mind that as this was playing out at that time you didnt know she felt that way about you.
Consider going to grieving classes Amy. By yourself (without mom) because that helped me and I didn’t go until over a year after my step dad died. I was surprised at the number of people in the group that were dealing with grief issues spanning back many years. I thought I would be the oly one that lost a family member over a year ago. Turns out most people are not even ready for grief work till a substantial amount of time has passed. I feel like , just by watching the two episodes, that your momma and to a certain extent you have placed him on a pedastal and that is common in grief but its also damaging emotionally if you create the man you WISH he was in your mind. Give it some thought but whatever you decide do not let Evolution film it they would eff up a wetdream(can you tell i got a bad attitude about them?)
Amy was your dad in jail when he died or was he out. The show made it sound like he died in the witness protection program. I always thought that was what people living outside the prison walls were offered for info. But then some people say he died in jail. Which was it?
@made.. He was in the witness protection program however he was in federal prison one. So they wouldn’t let him out as it was too dangerous for his life even in the WP in an assumed name and different town. The safest place for him and my half brother was in prison but through the federal WP. A lot of people never understood why he was still in jail and it was due to safety issues. Prison in some way was the safest place for him. I think it was the safest for them as well. They all felt if he was let out into the WP he would disappear, run, be killed or would kill again.
Oh thanks for clearing that up. I can see how that would confusing. Sounds like glorified protective custody or like when they segregate incarcerated cops from the general prison population. They still have to do time but to cut down on lawsuits if one of em gets jumped they segregate.
Times must have been very different back then. These days prisons don’t want to pay to house someone for their entire sentence even. Parole is a money game for the state. But I still don’t understand how they could hold him in prison without a conviction. We still had the same constitution back then. Thats kind of jacked up.
@made.. He was convicted of murder of Al Bramlett. He to a plea deal. My brother did as well. Part of the deal was they would be sentenced to life without possibility. In addition they would be placed into the WP program in exchange for their safety. The original deal was they were supposed to be relocated after testifying but that never happened as my father began to mess up trials and eventually he died within days of the Ben S. trial. Back then it was crazy and he and my brother were the first large fish the feds had ever really taken down. So it was a big deal.

I have been racking my brain over what I like about SCR over the HW shows. (Really, it’s a no brainer!) While Evolution will amp up the drama for sure on SCR, the women (sans Lana–sorry lol) and story lines are relatable thus far with authentic emotions. I could never relate to the HW shows in being a pampered and kept woman. I also can’t relate to dropping names, doing whatever it takes for “fame” and being a big ol’ asshole for something minute on my “give a crap” scale. I like seeing real situations like Jen discussing the perils of working her poker job and balancing family life and Amy talking about her father whilst being real and authentic in her grief. Relatable and refreshing compared to the HW shows that are so boring that everyone on SH can all predict what is about to happen.
So far the only one being OTT is Lana. I like her monkey but he seems like a status symbol to her. I don’t like that. I hope I am wrong. How she behaves is so crass that I don’t want to give her anymore attention. (So long, SWINE of SCR! lol)

I watched this show, and its terrrible. The other girls look awful too, and I swear I’ve lost brain cells watching a show that does nothing but hurt Las Vegas. I grew up here in Vegas, and believe me, these women don’t run this city!

Actually I think if she were to come out and say my momma was a mob mistress as opposed to wife then that might even be more intriguing. But it must be important to her that her parents were married and she wants the truth of that out there. To me, I don’t think it adds to or takes away from the story. Oh Robin..the show and people are beyond help. Why give them any press?
5 minutes into the show you know exactly what this is about. A bunch of well-to-do people acting so boorish and obnoxious that words cannot describe.
Anyone referring to themselves as “I am god” deserves nothing but scorn and ridicule. Please don’t give them the time of day. They are doing nothing but tarnishing Las Vegas’ image beyond what is already known.
I saw Lana’s half-@ssed apology to Alicia Jacobs and couldn’t help but laugh. If these women are that socially imbecilic that they don’t even know what a heartfelt apology is…then I have no words. The show is trash and the women are made to act like trash.

These women (and the producers of the show) are inappropriate but certainly not stupid. They know bad publicity is still publicity and are going to milk things as much as they can. I can’t say I blame them for trying. Mr. Leach, if you really do care about Las Vegas (and journalistic integrity) you’ll not let yourself be used to further their exposure. If they truly are doing “amazing things” for the community those deeds will surface in the course of the regular news cycle through the normal media channels.

What an opportunity! Can you imagine they felt I was the best person to get their exclusive? I could find out exactly what amazing things they are doing for the community before the weekend and which I’d happily write to show my fears are hopelessly incorrect, and I shouldn’t have reacted so harshly when Lana Fuchs called herself God.
They said I could ask as many questions as I wanted! I’d find out if Lana’s getting the rumored spin-off. I could ask Lori Montoya how her husband got control of Rain Cosmetics when my friend Rain Andreani, who used to do her makeup and worked with the lab chemist to mix the formulas of the line named after her, wound up losing it. I’d find out why Rain couldn’t be on the show and if the cosmetics line promotion is part of the compensation deal. I could ask Alicia Jacobs how it felt to have all those evil accusations made against her.
I’d never pass up a dinner with five women at former Mayor Oscar Goodman’s steakhouse, and just think I would even have let their producers film it for the show if they’d paid my normal TV fees, which I always donate to our beloved local charity Keep Memory Alive. A great story and charity donation without resorting to a surprise camera ambush!
But as you can see, they made this “time sensitive,” and what with the 2012 Miss Universe Pageant at Planet Hollywood, the Venetian’s Culinary Clash and other obligations before I drive to California for Christmas with my kids and grandkids, it would be after New Year’s before I could accept their kind offer.
However, if they email me the “amazing things they’re doing in the next couple of days to honor the holiday season,” I am happy to report them. Also, if the devastatingly low ratings for the show don’t get it canceled and it is still on the air in January, I’ll happily do the dinner — and happily pick up the tab myself.
My thanks to them for acknowledging this column has the best following and is held in the highest regard. I’d love to know why if they love Las Vegas, they let the producers show them and our city in such a bad light. I am grateful they offered me the exclusive interview. I’m just sorry I have no time to do it as fast as they’d like. It grieves me to say to them “please feel free because of my time constraints to offer it to any of the other columnists who may have time before the holidays.”
In the meantime, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope their TV exposure leads to the fame and fortune they seek and that they somehow turn all this negativity into something positive to truly benefit our great city.

Hi Amy, I have always really respected that you come here and comment under your own name. I think it shows that you are real and are comfortable in your own skin. You may want to read that one as I have many more that explains the guy killed was going to testify against my father. Then Carla’s alleged grandmother my aunt btw was supposedly in California with an attorney that was representing my father. Well I have others where they began to investigate the attorney and my aunt as it was just way too suspicious this guy died in her house right before he was to testify. Also on the docs. What does she want? It isn’t about winning you guys. The stalker laws in Nevada clearly state that if I start publishing and posting docs that are not easily attained what happens is I open myself up to even more scrutiny and waive some legal rights to protection of other docs. I am going to find a way to post what you suggested and make sure it is protected somehow where I am only doing it to discredit but not giving release of other rights. A Marraige license doesn’t make you married, a marriage certificate does. You can obtain a license and the change your mind and actually never get married. @made. They did film at my home. I just moved actually because the house the boys and I were in had some very bad memories to it. Plus it still had someone attached to it and I didn’t want to fight over it anymore. I found something new for the boys and I and we did stay at my mom’s for a few days until the new house was ready yesterday, as a matter of fact, and all of our new furniture and so forth was delivered and set up. The only person who knew you guys that I was at my mom’s for that short period of time was my soon to be ex. He knew due to court obviously and also me having to supply an address to where the boys are. I didn’t stay at a hotel as I didn’t want the boys in that environment and I wanted to be close to their school. It is funny cause he emailed me yesterday asking about the new house and I haven’t emailed him back yet as I have 10days to supply address. Then they post this today. Very coincidental if you ask me.

I was raised by my Mother along with my six other siblings, no one was ever molested in our home. You have put your ugly, bo-toxed face and huge fake boobs and lying mouth all over the internet and television. You have slandered numerous family members from my father and mother to my aunts and cousins and uncles and even me. You have threatened us and tried to bully us and expect us to sit back and take it.
If one cop shows up at my door with a restraining order, I will fight it. I will prove what kind of a liar you are and then I will sue you for tarnishing my reputation and for filing false police reports. In that law suit, you will be required to prove your claims and that includes your mothers marriage certificate and the results of the DNA that you supposedly had compared to see if you are brother and sister. (by the way, why would you do that if you and your mother were so sure you were the child of the person you claim is your father?) You have never had a DNA test from any proven LEGITIMATE family member.
I know that you never want to hear the truth, but I can promise you that I have proof of every claim that I have made. You and your mama will be shown for what you are.

Mrs. SH, made, hers, chem, SD and friends on here I applied for restraining orders today in the local justice court, filed for cyber bullying, filed in for Internet provider abuse through use of ISP, filed for everything I can think of with 2 more to go.
I will be emailing it all over tomorrow. I am waiting for filed stamped copy back in the am. I am sorry for what they have done but now there is enough to apply for and get it approved.
Oh, and I just figured out who your supposed Hanley niece and great niece are. Show that marriage certificate too while you’re at it. You speak of yet another illegimate child whose name I will not post on here. Tell you mama, I also know who introduced her to Tom.
It wasn’t the person she said in her book. I knew that person for many years too. I also have witness statements from people who were there when they were introduced. Hint, he has to do with the “niece and great niece”.

Who invites their alleged stalker for a meet and greet the day before filing a restraining order? Even offers to pay for the trip. No one is cyber stalking anyone just commenting on some public sites, hoping to get these two women to stop picking old family scabs, that have long been healed over.

Amy I am Alices’ oldest daughter . I am 61 yrs old. I do not care about all this crap you and your mother are doing regarding my Uncle Tom. It is what it is. I made a remark to your Mom when she stated my grandmother had something to do with Al Bass . My Gramma was at our house when that happened!! Now you are talking about my mother. My mother was not an alcoholic and we ALL grew up in the same house. If my mother was an alcoholic why on earth would your mother want my mother to take you? My mother refused to do that. As far as Tom Jr. your accusation about him being hurt at our house is a blatant lie. He was in a loving place with us. Have you thought that he was traumatized because he was pulled from a loving home by his mother and then she ran her car into a tree? HE WAS NEVER HURT when he was with us so stop spreading those lies about my Mom. She was a wonderful loving person and took care of your “brother.” I have tried to stay out of all this crap but leave my mother’s’ memory alone.

Why, when you are giving your mother a surprise birthday party with your family and close friends, would you be charging for the drinks?
Wow, Merry Christmas y’all! Dang Amy, stop responding to the comments, post the marriage certificate and you’re good. Done and done, put a fork in it! All this other stuff seems like a distraction to me, the newspaper articles and all the other stuff is clutter. I also grew up in an abusive situation, as a child you can’t control that kind of stuff. Your mother should have protected you and she didn’t. Your mom put you in harms way through her associations, so did mine. Like you seem to have, I found a way to have a relationship with my mother later in life despite all of that. I still have pain but keep it private. i am guilty of watching the show and reading these posts but I am coming from a good place. I understand your compulsion to defend yourself. You are a public figure. You have chosen to become more public by allowing all of us in to see dirty laundry aired. My advice? Don’t sell out your soul and your children’s future for the pittance you will receive from this TV show. I think the price of minor fame will seem very high to your children’s future 20 years from now. Stop the cycle of pain. I see it in your writing. I wish your peace and the strength to put your children first.
TLC does it again. I love trashy reality shows. Have a very high tolerance for the stuff. SCR, though. taxes my suspension of disbelief. I don’t doubt the relative wealth of the women. Their influence or celebrity seems to be a figment of their imaginations. The Brown sister wives are bigger celebrities in LV, I’m sure. And they are certainly a lot easier on the eyes–no botox, plastic surgery, bad weaves, witchy black hair, or incredibly tacky wardrobes. They also don’t have shooting parties in the desert (why TLC thought this was a great idea I have no idea, even before the latest mass shooting).
Lana Fuchs is particularly abhorrent on so many levels. Feh.
