Having to move out of our home was bittersweet, but I couldn’t leave quick enough! There was no way my family and I were going to stay in a house listed at over a million dollars more than it’s worth per the appraisal! We were not EVICTED! We ALWAYS paid our rent. Our lease was up; it’s that simple. We had found another home that was under construction but wasn’t going to be ready for a few more months, so we had asked the home owners to extend our lease. Kroy had been talking to the homeowner, and he stated he didn’t have a problem with it, but at the last hour literally we got an email stating we had to move out! Legally we had to, because our lease was up, which meant that I had to find a place to store 11,000 square feet of furniture and get it moved a.s.a.p.! So I packed my hubby, my kids, my dogs, my wigs, my flowers, and got the hell out!
Yes, Kandi, Nene and Cynthia, it was once my “dream home” and my credit has NOTHING to do with me moving. I’m blessed to have never had trouble financially unlike some of the other girls, but they can make whatever comments they’d like. They all know how much money I make just on RHOA, never mind all my other business ventures and my husband’s income to boot. These women say I constantly make excuses about not showing up to events like Ayden’s birthday party, but I feel if I did decide to show up, they would make comments as to why I’m there and not handling my business with my home. I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. So I give up!
Yes, leaving the house we leased wasn’t the plan; after all I married my husband in that hom, but God CLEARLY had a bigger and better plan… Our NEW home.

The loan did fall through. They bank wouldn’t loan them the extra million or more for the house not because it was over valued. They didn’t want to give them that much money because they looked at Kroy and her money and they didn’t make enough for a loan for that much. You see if Kroy was making 10 million a year the bank would have loaned him the extra money knowing that he made more than enough to pay them. He and Her combined (who knows if her name was on the mortgage application) couldn’t pass for the amount. And so that was why Kroy and her went to Kendra wanting 1 million off the house.
Kendra must have been in shock, I bet anything that during this lease they must have had some promises that she and Kroy would buy the house. But when they said they wouldn’t unless it was lowered by that amount that was when the problems started. That was her dream house pure and simple. You can’t tell me Kroy and Kim didn’t know how much the house was being put on the market for or what the comp’s are around the area (they had to when their realtor agent went looking for them for a house to buy). Remember at first they were looking for something to buy and then decided to lease. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t know at the signing of the lease that they weren’t going to buyt he house at that price or could afford it. Remember Kroy wasn’t making the money but league minimum at that time and once the contract came in he still could get a deal from the bank.
Kims not only lying but obfuscating what she said last season and last year about the whole situation. Nene was right, she and Kroy couldn’t afford it pure and simple. And if they are building a house while they stay at the Townhouse that Kim has for services rendered, where is the new house being built? I haven’t seen or heard any information where there new house is being built at.

It doesn’t matter if you like Kim or hate her facts are facts.
The home appraised for 1 million less than what Kenda and her husband wanted for the home. The bank will ONLY lend the money based on the value of the home. The bank will not give them more than what the home is worth no matter what type of credit Kroy and Kim have. After this mortgage meltdown banks require at least 5 to 10% down unless you are using VA or FHA loans.
There were only certain options left after the appraisal was done and came in low.
1. Kenda and her husband could have gotten another appraisal to see if the value was higher.
2. Kim and Kroy could pay the 1 million in cash over the appraised value and hope they got their money back when they sold the home.
3. Kendra and her husband could have agree to reduced the asking price of the home to the appraised value.
If you look at the sales in the neighborhood for the last year it looks to me like the house was over priced. That may be why they home has been on the market for years.
It’s curious that Kim and Kroy didn’t get the assessment before they entered into the lease agreement if they really intended to buy. Also they should have followed the comps as the lease progressed.
Since I am not a party to the contract I assume that they had a lease with option to purchase agreement. The appraisal would not be done until they were no less than a week from closing and no more than 3 months from closing.
I agree with you that Kim and Kroy’s agent should have been keeping them up to date on the recent comps but at the same time Kendra’s agent should have been supplying comps so they would know what they could expect to sell the home for in the current market.
The house had been on the market long before the crash. It was priced right it would have sold a few years prior to Kim moving in. The fact that 2 homes in that small (less than 10 homes) neighborhood sold for a million less than what Kendra wanted while Kim was renting the home was not Kim’s fault. It was just a case of large supply of homes with many being foreclosures and short sales and very few buyers for the price point.

Thanks for clarifying that NJ girl. It seemed disingenuous to me that they ever planned to purchase the house if they weren’t aware of the selling price vs. the assessed value or neighborhood comps. I guess if the assessment occurred that close to the end of their lease, it makes sense they would balk at purchasing the house.
According to Kindra on twitter this morning – out of nowhere, they made a lame offer and Kindra said no, not selling, she didn’t negotiate cause She knew they couldn’t get loan and Kroy had been contacting her explaining how they were “overextended.” She didn’t want to sell that house in this crud market and still isn’t — according to her.
