NEW YORK – November 15, 2012 – Bravo Media will present an incredible two-hour television event of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 9:00–11:00 PM ET/PT which sets the stage for the premiere of the new docu-series “Vanderpump Rules.” “Vanderpump Rules” follows the passionate, volatile and hot-and-bothered-staff at Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood mainstay SUR. Lisa balances her motherly instincts and shrewd business sense to keep control over this wild group of employees as they pursue their dreams and each other while working at her “Sexy, Unique Restaurant.” Often seen on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” SUR has been the backdrop for many memorable moments, including the unexpected encounter between Brandi Glanville and Scheana Marie, a female server who famously had an affair with Brandi’s ex-husband.

I hate to say it…This will be my new guilty pleasure. Since I refuse to watch RH of BH because of traylor trash..I can now get my Lisa fix with this new show and it looks just like my moral compass for an hour will be falling off a cliff.
The new show sounds boring. Who wants to see show about a bunch of bratty waiters/wannabe actors. And even the name of the restaurant is horrible. If it was named after Big Sur, that would be one thing, but “sexy, unique restaurant”? Tacky and sounds like a name a high school kid would come up with.

Not sure if I will give it a try. Except for the young guy on the right, none are particularly attractive.
The girl in the lower right looks okay, but yeah, that’s about right.
It seems like it will be more about he wait staff and bartenders at SUR more than Lisa. She almost is acting like the Beverly Hills version of Donald trump.

I did too. Would get my momma to give me Jo hair and my stepmomma would give me Blair hair. Stepmom sold marykay on the side and was always on me to quit touching my face and had me doing complete nighttime face rituals for as long as I can remember. Anyways she would always say when Blair was on “See that face? Thats a Mary Kay face, and she doesn’t touch her face” Anyway very fond memories of watching that show growing up. Simpler times. So long as I didn’t touch my face. What I wouldn’t give for that to be all I had to worry about now.

Yes, you’re right. I’m interested in Lisa (& Ken), but not her young wait-staff having the hots for each other. It’s not good business sense to showcase the back street antics of unfiltered staff doing uncontrolled things when the point of the business is to attract a high level clientele. What is wrong with Lisa? She’ll come off as a Madam of a Brothel.
as I was reading about how vanderrump was going to be showing us how bossy she is at work i had a visual of ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.. She’s not that interesting.

Meh. If I tuned in, it would be to watch Lisa, not typical LA twit waitstaff.
Maybe I should watch once and see if the Lisa factor overrides the twit LA waitstaff factor…
I certainly hope it will – otherwise what kind of show do they have? A bunch of aspiring artistes screwing each other, fighting over schedules and complaining about tips? Blech!
And btw, nothing against serving, it’s just not worth watching on cable, imo
that is the thing..I will be tuning in for Lisa..the wait staff to me is better than supporting RHBH with Traylor trash. I need my lisa fix.

I written before about this. I have been to Villa Blanca twice. Both times drove down from N Cal, diverting my drive to OC to stop there. The food is wonderful and not to pricey. The waitstaff is so terrific. Super friendly, always engaging. The food arrives in a timely fashion, and Lisa’s son in law is always there working super hard, helping and greeting guests. It is an awesome restaurant, so I am sure it will be fun to watch sur…although the waitstaff at Villa Blanca don’t seem like too much drama. I have always gone about 4pm to avoid the crowds for lunch and dinner. Everyone should try it once before they bash Lisa’s restaurants. You should order th eFilet Minon, or the pesto pasta. and the Villa Blanca wine is delicious. Geeze, I don’t mean to seem like an ad, but I don’t think many people have gone there.
I’ve been to Villa Blanca, and I liked it. Saw Lisa and Ken there, which was fun. Just not sure I want to watch a show about waitstaff.
I am hoping the show is 70% lisa trying to manage these infants, and 30% them..If it isn’t and it is 10% lisa and 90% wait staff, then I will tune out. I can’t believe they were there when you were…I am glad you also liked it and I am not the only one. Whenever I see negative reviews on Yelp..I think Taylor must have written it.
They walked in literally right ahead of us. Lisa leading the way in very high heels (she teeters and totters in the heels) and a beautiful gray coat, with Ken following behind. We were seated near their table, where they dined with another couple. They seemed very chill, and Lisa was very gracious to a fan that approached her for a photo. She looks exactly the same as she does on the show. (Unlike Kyle, whose skin I thought didn’t look so great — a little haggard.) She was also working on a pink laptop.
There’s probably a reason many people aren’t going there.
I’m pretty shocked, here I thought Lisa’s show would be more about decorating and flowers. I need to take this all in…..lol
@Hers ITA!! U hit the nail on the head! I saw Lisa tweeting about this last night & even tho I watch all the HW’s shows, I dont think this spin off will be that great. I can take Lisa or leave her. Im sure the restaurant has great food & I’d give it a try if I lived close enough but the only food show (on Bravo) that I like is Top Chef (yea, Ik its not a cooking show). Ill, of course, watch the 1st episode just 2 see how it is but I doubt it will be a “must see” every week.
Oh well, now I get why Kyle opened a shop:-) hope she can keep dreaming about having her own show about her running her business.
If the show is a repeat of Real Housewives behavior I’ll be disappointed and discouraged from going to the restaurant.

We think alike. Kyle’s my #1, and Caroline’s my #2. I realize what they have in common is that they both try to act like they’re above it all, and they both trash their family members.

Wow ! and I thought her show would of been about decorating! Her staff are crazy and full of drama. I saw them even fighting one another . Lisa sure has her hands full with the staff that’s for sure. This special looks like something that belongs on MTV not Bravo.
That promo makes me think this restaurant should have been called HEP.
