Jax Laurita mentioned her taped phone recordings in her BravoBlog. Not surprising, as attorney’s in the Signature Apparel case have also mentioned “secret” tape recordings… and they’re having a contest to see who can piss off Judge Peck the most!
From the letters to Judge Peck, the attorneys representing the Lauritas told opposing counsel that they were taping their conversation… 30 minutes AFTER the conversation took place.
In letters to the Judge, counsel was offended and told the Judge that it was highly unethical of the opposing attorneys to tape the conversation. Laurita attorneys also submitted a letter to the Judge stating that they had a right to record the conversation and that it was not unethical.
The Laurita attorney also mentioned that they no longer have that recording.
“Just tell the Judge I’m filming… we gotta get Jax’ crazy behavior on TV.”
On to depositions…
Chris and his brother, Joseph Laurita have started their depositions; however, the attorneys have run into difficulty in re-scheduling Chris and Joseph. The Lauritas are now scheduled to continue their depositions November 19 (Joseph) and December 4 (Chris).
Joseph Laurita’s wife, Adeline, is scheduled for November 16; Jax Laurita is scheduled to be deposed on November 13.
With all the delays and “underhanded” dealings going on with this case, don’t expect the actual trial to take place until Summer 2013…. and that date is an optimistic one, if there are no further delays or motions. However, from past history with this case, expect a trial date in 2015!
On to Jax’ delay or excuse from being deposed…
There have been theories about Jax floating around since the Signature Apparel bankruptcy was mentioned back in November 2011. Theories for reasons which Jax could make herself seem unable to answer questions in a deposition or to proceed with a trial.

One of the most popular theories is that Jax is setting herself up as a drunken crazy person who has to take care of a special needs child. Well, which one is it? Jax can’t have both! If she wants to prove herself as someone who cannot answer attorney’s questions because of mental and substance problems, then how in the world can she care for a little special needs child? Or write about her “journey” for Parenting Magazine?
IF Jax is forever tweeting and displaying nutty behaviors in the hopes that she’ll be excused from any court procedures, she should take a look at how Vincent (The Chin) Gigante did it!

In regard to her trying to seem unstable and “crazy” her husband want that for other reasons than what she thinks she know. If she is to be portrayed as crazy then she can’t take care of her son or kids at all and may never be able to be around them. Then Chris can get a divorce (remember the issue about her catching him cheating and he can’t be anywhere without her) and Caroline will help to raise the kids. What happened is that Chris didn’t take into account that the stripper/escort that he got pregnant was unstable.
That’s what I was thinking Buck Henry, that the so called “Diminished Capacity” excuse for Jax to be dropped from the lawsuit is a double edged sword. she might not go to jail, but she might be found unfit to raise her son. Yeah Caro would love to have 2 more boys to raise!
Oh I forgot, they are playing the delay delay game because they are afraid of going into that deposition and lying. They know that the federal trustee is doing information gathering and once he has them in the deposition they won’t know what he knows and they will either have to lie (and still won’t save them) or tell the truth and still get in trouble. He has the goods on them and they are trying to delay and delay and delay in order to get some type of deal where they can pay the creditors without any issue of bankruptcy fraud (won’t happen). Also to not have it aired on the show.
Chris and Jax and the rest of that family have serious problems, serious problems. And let me tell you one thing, that 55 million and change that was taken out of the company wasn’t just shared with who is in the lawsuit. I bet money was also given (in the suit they said money was withdrawn and no mention to who, like cash) to Caroline and Albert. That’s how it works, Albert had connections to the local sheriff to help in local situation and such and also Albert and Caroline could have used him to get family loans for situations. Caroline is real afraid of being outed in some illegal activity, because it would literally destroy her whole image and she can’t have that.
Dang! Never thought of that. I think we might be seeing this family on a future episode of American Greed: Scams or City Confidential:FranklinLakes on the A&E network!

A couple of weeks ago, Jax was tweeting about her new multi milllion dollar endorsement deal. I’m sure the BK trustee will find that interesing.
Add that to the Laurita’s Laundry List of Stupidity. Using BLK Water as a storyline also brought the company to the attention of the Trustees. Following the Laurita’s money trail is a piece of cake after the past season. If the trustees want to prove the Judge’s decision just roll tape of the past 4 seasons. Luxury cars, designer clothing, plastic surgery, lavish travel all funded by draining Signature Apparel of it’s assets. I’m surprised Parenting Magazine would want to be associated with these people. If I stole a loaf of bread to feed my family chances are the repercussions for me would be greater than for some white collar fraudster. Yet at the end of the day employees likely lost their jobs. So in effect Chris Laurita stole the bread from their families mouths.JMO. of course.

I was unaware the courts would stall proceedings because of the upcoming holidays. I guess they would hate to inconvenience the Lauritas by dampening their holiday spirit. Not so much a convenience for the lauritas, the court system basically comes to a crawl because the Judges take off. Many different religious holidays coming up. I thought it was interesting that Adeline could not make herself availablefor the deposition the month of september. Innocent people want to get these things over with. And the lawyers for the other side said the Lauritas have been slow to respond or havnt responded at all? That is not what you do when you have nothing to hide. First off……in the state of NJ, it is illeagle to tape a conversation over the telephone without the consent of another party…..think about it even credit card companies tell you the conversation will be taped…..now, if you have a voice activated tape recorder on your body hidden and tape the conversation with a person without their knowledge….That my friends is leagle, 150% leagle. Lisa, if the NJ state statutes are your defense of Jax in her recording escapades, you’re on a very slippery slope. If Jax recorded, say, Teresa with the intent to bribe (which has a very broad legal definition) or extort (once again a very broad legal definition), Jax could be charged under the RICO act. Both are considered racketeering.
Although the original intent of the RICO Act was to aid in the prosecution of organized crime, it has been widely used to prosecute all types of criminal activitiy. Even Jax’ statement in her blog about a recording was stated in a manner that could be construed as an attempt of bribery. There is substantial case law to support this.
Remember, you have not only state statutes, but the federal code, as well as case law.
Oh no way do i defend her actions, just the above poster said it was illegal to tape phone calls I just provide a cite that says NJ is a one party consent state.
Something in your comment shook loose a bit of reluctant memory. Does anyone remember Teresa saying that she is going to notify Law Enforcement if Jax does not stop calling or was it texting her? I don’t remember if it was texting or calling. If Jax was “mentioning” tapes and their content, I hope Teresa saved the texts or recorded the calls. It all depends what Jax wrote or said, but given her behavior, I would imagine she was trying to use them as extortion.
I know it sounds ridiculous but the two things just suddenly clicked in my brain. I’m just really curious because IMO when Jax mentioned the tapes at the reunion I felt it was a veiled threat to Teresa and Jax would release them as a whoopsie and then play dumb. Clearly Jax has been warned/advised the recordings were illegally obtained.
Or, her intent was illegal. Teresa could have advised her attorneys what was going on and they could have informed Chris/Jax of their intent to contact the police.

No, sd, you are right, this is far beyond the Giudice bankruptcy. The Lauritas engaged in deliberate corporate fraud. Juicy and Tre overspent and got into trouble, like many, and are working to pay. I don’t see how the Lauritas could pay this back in their lifetime. It is really amazing when you look at the dollar amounts, I don’t know what they did with all that money!

Being a law abiding citizen I wouidnt know But are not all Depositions taped? then transcribed later by a court reporter. I didnt get deposed for my BR but the proceeding in court where recorded .
They can have a court reporter (who will later give them a transcript) and they can be video taped. My favorite Perry Mason moment my boss had was captured on video. I’m a paralegal and sat in. It was a sexual harrassmant case, we represented the employer. A woman claimed sexual harrassmant. The man kept her post it notes. OOPS. My boss let her go on and on and on, very sympathetic, nodding, letting her ramble, cry and cry and then BAM! Are these your notes? And showed her each one of them as her face turned white and her attorney’s face turned red…all on tape. “I need a massage, neck is sore, wink wink” “I left my panties at your apartment, you can keep them” “Ha, no one can see your hickey when you wear a tie”. Her attorney ended it. Dismissed the suit next day.
If Jac is on video, she better double down on her meds, which they will ask her, “have you taken any medications today? Any alcohol?” Would love to see that on tape

Lisa, it was not a deposition it was a meet and confer between the two legal teams. Not a deposition. The Lauritas requested permission to tape the opposing attorneys after the fact rather than at the inception of the meeting. The tape was erased.

II have trouble reading the tiny print but from what I can decipher it is pretty nasty between opposing councils. The attorneys are using profanity and that is why the Laurita’s taped the other side. The Lauritas attorneys claim they feel threatened but apparently none of the claims were substantiated.
Lawyers are expensive. JayZ will never run out of money to pay his lawyers. Can’t say the same concerning the Lauritas. It will eventually go to trial and it won’t be pretty. Imagine living with this over your head, year after year?

Slam the Guidices at will but most bankruptcies while not secret are private. Yes they are on a reality show but when Tre and Juicy withdrew their bankruptcy why the continued focus. What has Jax done since filing for bankruptcy? Has she changed her lifestyle? Has she gone back to work? Teresa certainly has.

Even watching a clearly angry and unstable Jaxazz going after Gia was sanctioned by Bravo. I think they are paying. As far as spending, Tre needs to spend a certain amount on clothes, travel, etc. She’s on tv and promoting her brand, and I think she should be able to spend a bit on herself and her kids. It isn’t like she’s just sittin around only making pay from rhonj, like Jax. As for the foreclosures, they have to happen in order to relieve the financial burden. I don’t think it would be prudent to pay back, say, a 1 mil mortgage on a building now worth 300 grand…. it is sad, but something many people are going through, and at least the mortgagors will receive the property/collateral back and be able to resell it.
I believe she is paying, I just dont believe she is paying it ALL off like she claims. And like Ms SH confirmed Joe M hasn’t seen one dime of the money owed to him

I’m not sure how she spends her money. I did not see the lavish parties, the extravagant shopping, the over the top children’s parties or the spa trips. I saw Teresa cooking at home and having friends over for play dates. Posche supplies her clothes for the show.

Lisa, I see your point. It not might appear that she’s “doing without” to the greatest extent possible, as someone that owes so much money be doing until the money is repaid.
Teresa said recently that they have cut back and are not spending like they once did. As for the Real Estate market , it’s difficult to move anything in this market. I think foreclosure may have been the Guidices only option in this market. If they owed 8-11 million the debt isn’t going to go away any time soon IMO. That is a huge burden hanging over anyone’s head. Teresa could cry and whine but what is that going to solve?
My point was Jax and the entire cast scapegoat Teresa and Juicy while blithely ignoring their own financial ills. I didn’t give Jax not working a second thought until I realized the extent of it and while she was finger pointing and shaming her “friend” her own money was hot mess. I am sorry I hate it when people shame others over bankruptcy. I don’t think it is happy or pleasant choice that anyone genuinely chooses to make. I see a Mom with 4 little girls busting her buns and another who does not work but with a nanny, a Mcmansion and a Range Roverwho assures us her bankruptcy isn’t a big deal cuz it’s business. If I hadn’t seen changes in Teresa’s lifestyle trust me I would be equally unhappy with her. I’m sick of Teresa being used as everyone’s favorite punching bag. Jax isn’t mental she is simply a vindictive beast. Jax tape records friends, harasses same with texts and phone calls, reveals friends private confidences,( of course her confidences are strictly kept ) and is a rumor monger. IMO Jax behavior is very intentional.
I actually think she’s a little of both. A nasty person, plus some sort of mental issues.
And her inappropriate outbursts during the reunion really reminded me of Tourette’s — almost like a compulsion she can’t control. Maybe Chris should be carrying around a roll of duct tape for her mouth.
I agree with your opinion on Jacs mental status. I think she is a spoiled, overindulged, patronized, nebby washwoman. Everyone tells her what a “good person” she is. Oh she gets her feelings hurt easily because she is so sensitive. ……For sure, she is so sensitive to her own needs and opinions. And because she is such a “good person”, she must be correct in her opinions. They like to say…..she gives everyone a thousand chances before she turns her back on someone. And that is untrue. To give someone who has hurt you another chance is to forgive and yes, forget. And she never forgets. She nitpicks and dwells on any slight…no matter how small or open to interpretation. And you know, I think Caroline realizes this. Caroline likes to say how Jac is so easily hurt because she is so giving and kind. But its easier to look at Jac that way than to deal with what are Jacs real issues. Jac is needy and impulsive. She cannot accept the differences in other people. She allows anger to guide her actions. And having a close relationship with someone who is guided by emotion and anger is a full time job. Caroline has been on the receiving end of Jacs emotional sh#tstorm. I dont think Jac is going to get very far with the court system if she plans on playing crazy. It may be just another delay tactic. But it does tell me one thing……these people are at the end of their ropes.
Jac’ will also be keeping tabs on Melissa through her new BFF Melissa! Don Caro is smart to say that Melissa and Joe and Kathy are business relationships.

Teresa and Jo probably cannot get half of what is owed on the mortgage on those properties. I doubt they can unload their house at this point and let’s face it that will be all they have left when this is over. Teresa has to make her brands succeed because she knows the window of opportunity is closing rapidly. She took the two season Bravo beat down not because she enjoyed it because she had too. As she said I am a good employee. Teresa needs the paycheck no matter how sadistically Andy treats her. She has bills to pay and elderly parents in addition to her kids to look after.
If Joe and Teresa have kept their house to this point? They’re paying THEIR bills.
If their business/investment properties are subject to foreclosure and/or have been foreclosed on, they aren’t paying the bills that whatever corp/LLC Joe Giudice and Masterofthepole (whatever his name is) together or separate have.
Or maybe no one is paying any bills and it’s just a matter of time.
But as far as it goes today, unlike Joe and Tre; Jax and Chris knowingly took corp funds for personal use…and THEN Shady Chris took the corp computers to hide all of his shady – and when Shady Chris admitted he took the computers, they all of sudden were all sorts of “corrupted”. We are riding it out, my section of Stafford wasn’t evacuated…everywhere that it had to be evacuated has been done. Long Beach Island is closed off from the Mainland now. Please pray for the island and the workers who stayed there to hold down the fort. It is flooded but the worse hasn’t hit yet. Our winds have picked up quite a lot and it’s raining. I am in Ocean Acres so we are basicly safe from the Ocean and the rising bay. Beach Haven West where Teresa has her home has been evacuated. We have our supplies and I am just praying.

You’re closer to the coast than I am. I’m a little more central (in Somerset County) and a little more inland. Let’s hope we don’t get the full force and she turns a little east before making landfall in NJ. I heard that sections (even B. Light) of LBI had waves crashing up to the dunes early this evening. We have our generator ready to go (to keep the kitchen fridge running and a light or two). Winds are getting a little more crazy right now (about 2am). Irene was bad up this way, and Sandy is supposed to be worse. Got an automated call from Comcast tonight which basically said, “don’t call us when you don’t have internet or phone service, we know you don’t”.

note to sh. the chins crazy act did work in a case in the early 70′s thats why he continued it. I have no horse in this race but comparing jac to the chin is a bit low. The chin had many men beaten so bad they wished they were dead. He put a bullet in the back of frank costellos head unable to kill him and has ordered the murder of countless people. I can continue but there many many books written about the deeds of this man. To compare any housewife to this man is way out of line in my opinion.

Thanks I will he actually had an outstanding day at school . All the other kids took up for him and made it clear that they were not gonna tolerate Gabe getting bullied. It was the 2 or 3 mouthy band members that had a bad day socially. The band director let every one of them know that Gabe doesn’t answer to them and facebook is not to be used in this manner.

I aint interested in taking a mother away from her children during the holidays. Just want her to know that its criminal and unacceptable and to never ever ever do this to anyone else again.
MP, so happy that things went well for Gabe today. That is what is of most importance, but, the mother has to have consequences for her actions. She’ll just keep doing this type of thing if she gets away with it.
The next child she bullies may not have the kind of backing and support system as Gabe. An adult bullying a child is never acceptable. Let evil mommy go in front of a judge and explain herself. She isn’t going to be taken away from her children. I would hope the judge would order counseling and community service.

The mom is an adult and this is unacceptable. She needs legal consequences and it needs to be swift and harsh. She acted out and did not think of the consequences to her children or to Gabe or his family. If she isn’t given a Come-to-Jesus then you can bet it will indeed happen again. You are very wise to not engage with her but let the system takes its course. You handled the situation like an adult and with maturity and remember Gabe is learning from your example. I am truly very sorry that this happened…….
I’m shaking my head because music is supposed to unite people and not be a platform for jealousy and rage! Being a band parent myself, and having a talented kid who practices her instrument, there are a lot of loudmouth parents and kids in band who are worried about who gets what chair and who is section leader and who gets the solos etc. I tell my daughter it’s only up to the band director, not the other kids and their cra cra moms! The parents who hate on other kids need to mind their own business and tell their kids to practice more or realize their kid isn’t as good as the other kids, but it is no big deal because everyone has gifts! When your kid blooms and shows talent, you will find out who can be trusted. Just my 2 cents:)
I understand totally. One of them said “you are not better than the band” and Gabe never said he was so clearly they are feeling that he is and at the root of that this is what that’s all about. The “mother” has a picture of herself om FB from back in the day as a flag girl , if that tells you anything. It speaks volumes to me in terms of how entrenched this lady is in the marching band way of life. Her kid is not my son’s section leader and unless he can strap on a guitar and do 1/10th of what Gabe does with it he needs to know his place. The band director let him know that too(not in those words of course) But he would not have embarrassed himself if his momma wasn’t such a dork and told him better.
Note: Nothing wrong with flag girls or drummer boys per se its just when they take themselves too seriously and overstep their bounds its comical. And can surely get into delusionville when a mentally unstable flaggirl begets a drummerboy. In fact I am starting to think she was behind this whole thing because at one point the kid said I am not a section leader but you do have to answer to all the section leaders including the flaggirls. Which , of course is horse crap and he had to be schooled by the director that Gabe answers to him and him only. So it seems to me that this overgrown flaggirl on a power trip led her son into a world of embarrassment with her delusional overblown sense of herself. She certainly does not pass out grades so who was she to tell my child to take his “failing grade and go away?” Gabe made an A and will continue to pull A’s in band regardless of flaggirls wishes.
Resource officer says we need to bring in our evidence(screenshots) and file a report. This will be done as soon as my husband gets back in town since he has it all on his phone. Hopefully this aged flaggirl will never do this to another child again.

Well it has soured him on marching band. And that is a shame. I really wanted him to have 4 years of marching band so that it would look good on his transcript because is goal is to attend Belmont University. He does still have ensemble to look forward to though. And his private guitar teacher has some showcases coming up too.

Flag Girls…We call them The Color Guard down here and our highs school’s color guard is not very good, but they try. Some bands have enormous color guards and sometimes girls tryout for Color Guard after they fail at making the cheerleading squad or dance team. I hate to see that your Former Flag Girl obviously peaked in high school; those types of adults never leave high school emotionally and are therefore reckless! Your son cracks me up with his warning on FB that was actually a favor to the Former Flag Girl’s kid! Print out the evidence…let me know how it goes!:)

MP, holy sh*tb*lls…I went from ground zero to 1000 to back to calm again in about 2 minutes reading that! WTF is that lady doing and Who the hell is she to question what your schedule is? You know, my daughter was saved by joining marching band….she’s such a lovebug but she was shy & overweight & she has blossomed…it makes me cry thinking about it…they won state last year–she won state as a freshman & is going again to perform in the Air Force Academy this year for state as a sophmore…..my point is this is supposed to be a safe place, a haven for kids to thrive…ITS ABOUT THE KIDS…My God….The Directors understand that sh*t happens and they deal with it…if a kid is missing, well, they deal with it…there’s kids out there in some bands that arent even playing…they’re faking it! #fact……that’s not what causes a low score in a competition…its the show itself, the marching, the music, general effect, and the deductions are for getting equipment on/off the field, rifle/flag drops, small things…..NOT BECAUSE A KID IS GONE! Gah! I want to smack that woman. I sure hope little miss comeuppance has now learned her lesson to keep her yapper shut and keep her nose out of everyones business…..Tell Gabe that some marching band peeps in Colorado are rootin’ him on! BTW, what instrument? My daughter played timpani (oh goody, pulling 700lbs of drums) last year & she made the drumline this year but had to go back to pit due to asthma & they had her on #3 bass & it was too heavy so the heat, asthma & not being in the best of shape = she could not keep up with the fast pace……she’s now on the BEAST. Yeah, baby!
MP, if evil mom has a picture of herself as a flag girl up, really gives you an idea of what you’re dealing with. She probably peaked during HS when she was a flag girl. That was obviously the high point of her life.
That said, it doesn’t give her license to bully children. I hope the school officer takes this matter seriously. It is particularily egregious because an adult is involved.
Thats all I can think. My son had wrote back to her comment and told her to get off the thread because he didn’t want to turn in a 50 year old LADY for harassment. This must have flew all over her because she prolly aint even 50 yet but in the eyes of a high school boy anyone over 30 might as well be 80 so he split the difference. That’s the chance that grown women take when they address children on facebook I guess.
MP, I’m glad your son is still going to do ensemble….I think he’ll enjoy it. You know, with my son it got physical when he was in 6th grade…he came into a new junior high…wrestled an 8th grader and won a spot on varsity. Next night, came home with 10 scratches down his neck (fingernails) and a big rasberry on his head. This eighth grade was “upset” that my son whupped up on him. One of my son’s friends from another school (a 6th grader) wrestled the 8th grader in a dual the next weekend and pinned him….kid went and hit a cement wall breaking his hand….KARMA! The boy is out for the season. Bullies always will get theirs.

And just like your situation this all boils down to jealousy. My only issue with going forward is that several kids took up for Gabe on the thread and told the other kid that if he didnt stop bullying Gabe that they would have to deal with them. I dont want to get those kids in trouble for trying to stand up for what was right. My focus is on the mother and there is no excuse. If she thought her lil one was gonna get his ass kicked for running his mouth then she should have told him to keep his mouth shut. She COULD have turned in those other kids for threats but once she said what she said then her hands are no longer clean.

Yeah, there was another kid on the same wrestling team (he was JV) that had to wrestle my son (Varsity) that he was going to “rape & kill” my son on the mat..this was after the 8th grader incident…he didnt want to wrestle him…I told my son to go kick his ass…he did & when it was done I said well, he might have said that to you but you had his ass in the air for 2 full periods for about 200 parents including his to see…..he also was pinned by a girl and she made him cry by breaking his collarbone. I LOVE KARMA! Sorry, anyways….at our school, the problem is with one of the Band Directors not a parent and I tell you what, if I ever get a chance to snatch her bald headed, I will. She just yelled at a parent with her mic on at the football field last Saturday for the entire band to hear. The parent isnt going to do anything because its the end of the season…..I’d have her butt in the Principals office on Monday morning with the Superintendant of the District on notice. Nope, not playing around……And flag hag mom needs to know she done messed with the wrong mamma. I so love your sons’ wit! the blinkers on the car comment & calling her 50 on FB when flag hag mom might be younger than that! That was a good SNAP in Z formation!
Hey take a video with your phone of that band director in action. Calling out individuals publicly and with a mic on is not cool! And dang–nothing is worse than getting beaten by a girl on the wrestling team! Kid is probably scarred for life.
when my daughter came home & told me about the director screaming at the kid & the dad, I was like “OH HELL NO!”…..that’s at least 88 witnesses!….PJ, I tell you and this is bad but I hid my smirk when the kid cried after the girl beat him…serves him right…he teased my son for that one too–that the girl had once pinned my son (although my son came back in a later match & pinned her) but that she took the smackdown the the bully!
If she broke the kid’s collar bone, then he wasn’t doing something correctly…I dated a wrestler in high school and you really don’t get injured unless you are fighting dirty. It’s a battle of strength and endurance if I remember correctly. I must say I do not shed a tear when the loudmouths get their clocked cleaned as my Dad would say:)
yeah, dated them, then married one….my hubby is the HS Asst coach…..that’s what was tough about my son being bullied during the season because that’s not what the HS program is about nor the other middle school……my son was good, not the best but understood it & was good….those 2 kids & the coach who would not control the room ruined it for him. My husband would come home shaking his head when his season was done & would go try to help out….those kids wouldnt shake their opponents hands, threw head gear & one of the parents was an asst coach at this jr high…threw a fit when his son was pinned……Soooooo glad they got rid of the coach & one of our State Champ wrestlers has graduated from college, come home & is starting the program ground zero….my son is hinting he might, might maybe go back now that the respect he has known at home & the new coach was taught at home & at school will be in place.
Just read on imdb that Anderson Cooper will NOT be renewed fot 3rd season. Maybe Mandy can find a new gig for him. Maybe he could be Juicy’s driver and give Teresa a break. You know, since he wouldn’t give her one on his show.

Barb – you’re good? We’re good too. Nasty, nasty wind. Lost a tree and some shingles off the roof. Too dark to see much else (shingles were on my front porch! Tree started leaning hard when it was still light out). Still have power unlike a lot of my family/friends & neighbors. Transformers blowing up and sending up blue lightning all over the place! Hopefully the RHWoNJ are doing well too – and NY. NY is getting hit hard. Building collapsed, crane fell off another and is dangling, ConEd power plant “blew up” on E14th & FDR (I think, not exactly sure), expecting a huge storm surge…we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
But yes, Karma is a bitch and what is funny is that I had no idea Anderson had a show outside of CNN until Teresa was on it.

Made, Made, Made….I hesitate to share this but this is deja vu for me. I think there must be a malignant social disease called ” I’m still living my High School Glory Days”. This is all to familiar to me. My youngest d gave up gymnastics in 7th grade after a pretty scary injury. She was an elite level gymnast and suddenly lost without a venue to use her athletic ability. I encourage her to try cheerleading and she loved it especially because she could full twist and tiny enough to be a flyer. I knew we were in trouble after try-outs and all the Mommies congregated in the hall and started buzzing about their cheer years. I sensed that some moms thought their daughters should have automatically inherited their spot like a birthright. My D’s sophomore year went even better they were third at nationals, not bad. NCAAvideos the National Championships and when we to the parent viewing of the video nasty comments were made after D was featured in the video. I had zero control over that but the Mommy crew was angry. It all culminated on Senior day when my D and others found their cars painted with some really choice profanity after am practice.The girls were targets at lunch when a group of Seniors pursued them in a pack of 3 cars throwing fruit and pudding cups into the open jeep they were riding in and spraying them with fruit punch.One of the pudding cups sliced the driver’s eye open and it started bleeding profusely . The girls were all frantically calling parents and the parents were calling 911. This was pure harassment and bullying. The cops came when our girls went to one of the parent’s houses that was closest. The bullies stood OUTSIDE screaming and throwing trash, pelting the house with punch bottles and even ripped all the flowers out of the flowerbeds. The police intervened but the girls treated it like a joke even tho the driver ended up at the ER. with a broken wrist and a gash on her eyeball. The school said they couldn’t do anything since it happened off campus. We had the requisite meeting and were told it was an HONOR to be singled out since only the prettiest girls were singled out. We all pitched a fit to no avail. the Sr.girls all were allowed to walk at Graduation as if nothing happened, Tell Gabe tho there is karma and justice. I was at a cocktail party 5 years later and I saw two of the Sr.moms who both swished over and asked what my D was doing after she graduated from college. I said she had been accepted to Law school and one simpered and said her D had applied at ——- and was waiting to here from them. Where was my D going? (Imagine this in a really snotty voice) well surprise surprise my d was not only accepted but full frickin ride to Sr. girls dream law school. Later I found out Sr. didn’t even get accepted and the mom could not believe it. So there is justice sometime ya have to be patient
This burns me up. Children were injured. Your daughter got the ultimate revenge by going well and looking good doing it. Law school that is impressive!!! But still those girls should have been held accountable when it happened. Girls are viscous so I was really surprised that boys were acting like lil girls online. My first thought after seeing the mom’s post was I would take it straight to the sheriffs office since this happened also “off campus” But husband told me to go through resource officer. I am prepared for him to try to diffuse the situation with stuff like what was told to you about it being a honor (what hogwarsh!!) of its just jelousy. If I get that line of crap I will take it directly to the sherrifs department. At the end of the day i want a uniformed officer telling her that its a crime to harrass children on line. Dont care if they only fine her I want her to neva evea eva do this again
Want to see this go to the Sheriff. Seeing too many of these bullying stories lately. A girl jumped in front of a train within the last week due to bullying. Too many tears.
We had a meeting with the Police chief and the superintendent. This was years ago and bullying was just becoming an issue. Columbine happened the next school year.. and many of us shuddered. The girls all had nightmares and anxiety issues for awhile. Girls are vicious, apparently this group were really angry because our girls dated Senior boys. They planned this for 4 months and had Senior Bitch t-shirts made.
Listen you have to put a stop to this Made and the Mom. Or it will continue, maybe not with your son but there will be others.
My D tho walked away with a lesson for herself. D’s Senior year she was captain and could choose her Lil Sis, as they called it from one of the sophomores.She chose one of Sr bitches little sisters. They have a big welcome ceremony for the new squad and parents ,boosters, sponsors. You could have heard a pin dropped when that selection was announced. I aasked d why she did it and she said “Mom, you lead by example!”.
I don’t want the younger girls to think it is ok to be mean and ugly.” They are still good friends now all these years later. The Sr. Bitch came up during the season and asked D to forgive her, cried and said she was so grateful that she had been such a wonderful mentor to her sister. When a parents involved unfortunately it isn’t about the kids talking smack. It is about an adult on a power trip. I hope you shut her down.

Ain’t…you speak the truth…what a great story about the example you set and what an amazing daughter you have raised. We do not get an owners manual when they’re born, try to teach them right & wrong….its great to see the “A” on the report card of life when you are their role model and they know what they’ve been taught is the right way to act. It must warm your heart!
Y’all are to sweet. I appreciate it, have never told the story before lots of water under that bridge. I’m proud D learned not to repeat the bully behavior and to set a better example. When times are tough wouldn’t we all love to have an owner’s manual?
You all are really good parents and you clearly have the most important part of parenting down pat, not just loving but believing in your children and teaching them to be good human beings. Success and being a good human being are not mutually exclusive. Sounds as if Made and Duffydan have your hands on the wheel .
I get so blinding mad when adults mess in kid’s business. It’s a fine line sometimes but the GetOverYourdangself Flag girl clearly crossed it.She needs her feet to be held to the fire.
I am glad kids (like your DD) is learning lessons yearly. so many kids today are not being taught not to bully and not taught how to deal with bullys then they go into the work place and bully or decide shoting up the office is the way to deal with bullys.
In my own agency one of my former co workers threatened to kill someone and he was promptly fired the thinking is you cant take chances these days. We wouldnt have issues if parents and others took the bullys by the horn and did somethign about bullys when the kids are young instead of the old KIDS WILL BE KIDS routine we hear so often.
Annt you keep teachiong your D lesson on how to be a good youngin and she will grow up to be a good adult.

Thanks Lisa she is grown now and a child of her own. I’m glad we got past it but it was pretty significant at the time. She had a difficult time on rush committee at her sorority in college and encouraged everyone to put in new place new guidelines with a zero tolerance policy regarding scurrilous gossip was not tolerated and potential pledges were judged on their merits. She came home in tears until she decided to stand up.
It scares me because bullying is rampant and as you said in the workplace. Violence happens how often? It seems like 4 or 5 times a month lately.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but where we live, the “ignore the bully” tactic doesn’t work too well. It just empowers the bully (we that out the hard way). So, my kids were instructed to repay verbal bullying twice as hard. BAM! That did the trick.
Yea you gonna one up the Bully, the things about bullys children and adults bullys alike is You gotta stand up to them they dont like that. I had a friend who was transfering to a new office and there was a well known bully in that office I told her stand up to her from day one and you bet she will back down. and sure enough on my friends forst day at work the women started in on her and she stood up to her and let her know she wouldnt be putting up with the bullying and guess what it never happened again. Bullys bully becaus ethey know they can get away with picking on people the deam weaker then them.
Exactly Lisa. Some people have been beaten down their entire lives and one day they just snap. Better to stand up and say your peace when someone tries to bully you. It has gotten so much worse now and I really wish their were answers. Social media does not help.
Another thing that doesn’t help is when teachers and administration don’t come down HARD on the bullies. Kids are often afraid to report bullying, because they know nothing will be done and being labeled a tattletale only makes things worse.

It was the old “initiation” , rite of passage. Whatever when my daughter came home that day , walked in the front door and collapsed in tear, shaking it didn’t look like an honor to me. It looked like it was a damn good thing mama didn’t have a gun.. I saw red, blood red. One of my bff’s is an interior designer , longtime resident family owns a high end furniture store and design business, Think Suzanne Sugarbaker. She used to call me cackling with glee cuz she was privy to their little inner circle. Bullies Mom was just ranting and raving to all her friends that My D “took her daughter’s spot at Law School”. She was an alumni after all. BFD .
Made it saddens me that Gabe is soured on marching band. I can’t blame him but breaks my heart. I wish we were a kinder , gentler society that practiced tolerance.Jealousy is so rampant now . You have to know that over-the-hill-flag girl is jealous because Gabe is clearly very talented with a rare gift for music. it is sad that she is caught up in blaming rather than encouraging him. All it takes understanding……
I’m hoping Gabe will give it time and reconsider.
