There has been a bit of a discussion going on re the Housewives and their “charitable” appearances.
MeGo is not charging (per published reports) Deborah, the hospital where she says she had open heart surgery when she was seven-years-old, for her appearing at the hospital next month… but Melissa Gorga was charging $85 per ticket to benefit her OWN aunt, who was very ill, back in December. But, MeGo is all about family…
Why bring this up now? MeGo’s Aunt Lorraine passed away yesterday…
“Lorraine Royle, 61, of Toms River, passed peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at home with her family around her…”
Melissa Gorga… “Oh… I can lip-sync real good… just watch!”
Our very favorite singing Housewife who cannot sing will be lip-synching in her hometown of Toms River, NJ on December 5! Melissa Gorga will be selling and signing CDs in a benefit lip-synching performance for an ailing relative. Well, isn’t that nice of her???
“Join us for an exciting night of Food & Fashion on Monday, December 5th at Aqua Blu Restaurant & Lounge. Aqua Blu in Toms River & Tula “The Boutique” in Shrewsbury invite you to a family style dinner, holiday fashion show and fundraiser hosted by Joe and Melissa Gorga of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”.
Tickets are $85 per person and include dinner, fashion show and a meet and greet with Joe and Melissa Gorga. “The Marco Sisters” will be showing off the latest fashions by Nicole Miller, Sue Wong, Tibi and many others.
After the show diners are welcome to purchase all items seen in the show. Tula will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Lorraine Royle.”

UPDATE: Word had it that Melissa had totally cancelled this fundraiser which would benefit her aunt. (The afternoon show was cancelled because no one bought tickets…)
As of today, 12.03.11, Melissa will still be lip-synching and her sisters will still be modeling at the fashion show included in the price of admission two days from now.
HOWEVER… in a last ditch effort to cover poor ticket sales, Melissa has tacked on a $3.12 “FEE” along with the price of the ticket, which is $85.00! So, if you wanna see MeGo “doin’ her thang”… it’ll NOW cost you $88.12!!!

NOTE: There were TWO shows scheduled on December 5. However, the afternoon show was cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Melissa’s 6:30 to 8:30 performance and fashion show still has plenty of tickets available. Really, Melissa… really??? $85 PER PERSON??? Do you REALLY think people are gonna spring that kinda money to watch you screw up lip-syncing???

I am Like Kim Z cannot carry a tune in a bucket. If any HW were truly a gifted singer they would be well known for that as Kandy Burrus is. ITA none of the others can sing.

Well if the aunt passed away that’s sad of course. But I wouldn’t consider buying a ticket to see her sing , might consider paying if we could all just skip it, like her parts on RHONJ , just skip it
Just saw Taylor Swift on Ellen, and recently saw Katy Perry’s movie on PPV. The fact that she thinks she has a chance in hell of competing with these PROFESSIONAL, classy ladies is pathetic! Not to mention Beyonce and J-Lo! More proof that she’s a total narcissist!
