October 14, 2012 11:55 am NOTE: Would LOVE to see an interview with ANY of the Housewives that is NOT pre-planned. Tree has been well-rehearsed and coached for this interview… we’ve heard every word before. Hey… any Housewife out there… wanna sit with SH for an interview??

About Stoopid Housewives
The Real Housewives franchises have become a guilty pleasure for me and I've become intrigued by 'normal' people who would agree to put their lives on television for public display and scrutiny. What are their motives to divulge their daily routines for viewing audiences to approve, reprimand, berate, castigate, attack; basically abuse and judge? Oh, just forget about the above nonsense... the majority of these people are just stoo-pid.
Yep Tre is well rehearsed and yet she comes across as genuine(to me at least). I would love to see a little list of questions that Ms SH would ask;)
Rehearsed or not, one thing Teresa is right about her books, the recipes are all great and they are about the easiest ever to make. It feels good to live and eat healthy! Have all 3 books and I love them.
You know, I was going to be a hater about her recipe books, so I checked them out hoping to get a laugh while at B&N….but they are actually quite good! The baked chicken recipe was good and I really loved the stuffed eggplant and sausage one. I was surprised. I ate my hat and some delicious food ha.
I’m thinking I need to try one of her cookbooks. Which is the best?
Stuffed eggplant and sausage sounds so yummy. I am not a big Italian food eater but some of really sounds yummy.
Eggplant recipes are in such low stock. Really enjoyed hers.
I agree — rehearsed but also real. And frankly, I appreciate the fact that Teresa takes the time to prepare; it’s her job and she takes it seriously and treats it responsibly. I think it shows respect.
I also really liked it when Tre was asked about why a cookbook and she said, “It’s what I know.” if others stuck to what they knew — listen up please, Screechilissa — and took their efforts seriously and worked hard at them, they would be more successful.
Lastly, doggone it Tre looks good!!
I honestly think she looks better and better in every interview. Whatever she’s doing — tell, Tre! — keep it up!
Teresa was lying about making dinner for her family ever night and making these great recipes. There was an episode where she went grocery shopping and her cart was filled with prepared items and Milania kept asking for other prepared things. Teresa made a comment that she makes homemade food for the family and Milania corrected her. Teresa simply cannot keep her lies straight.
The recipes are family recipes and not her own. Her ‘bestselling’ books are cookbooks rehashed from other people recipes. I guess if you are Team Teresa you believe everything that comes out of her mouth rehearsed lies included! So very sad.
Oh, who cares. I cook dinner just about every night from scratch, yet I also have some prepared Trader Joe stuff in the freezer for snacks and if the kids want to heat something up for themselves. Also, most of my recipes are “family” recipes, too.
It’s nice to hear people still cook for their family! Kudo’s to you!
Thanks — they’re probably not the most exciting meals, but I try.
sophia, Tre said she cooks for her children every night — she didn’t say that she cooks everything from scratch or that they only eat food prepared from recipes in her book! Let’s try not to be too hard on a hard working mom with four little ones, shall we?
She’s also consistently stated that the recipes came from her mother. And while I’m guessing you’ve never seen them, her cookbooks do have quite a little bit more personal “color” in them than many cookbooks.
Guess I’m not seeing any “lies!”
No – it only means that she doesn’t have to cook for her daughters every night. I know lots of Moms who are excellent cooks but rely on fast food and frozen items when they and their children have busy schedules. You judge her based on items you see in her shopping cart on one occassion. I believe that’s one of the differences between the Team Teresa folks and the others. That judgment has no real basis. To me, that’s what is so very sad!
Exactly. Listen, even as an adventurous eater as a child, I still begged for Lunchables. Also, along with “rehashing” it happens. I mean half of the cookbooks probably have a baked chicken recipe right? I think her collection is quite good and has modern family tastes to it- it isn’t over the top foodie, but also not old with more antiquated cooking methods (I love Julia Child, but some of her recipes require the hours or amounts of butter I just don’t have.)
Clearly,Sophia, you have never had children.Because, if you had,you would know that some nights, weeks, and yes, even months, children will absolutely REFUSE to eat what has been so lovingly prepared! And , that’s when “child friendly” store-bought food comes in very handy. To make an issue over store-bought vs home-cooked meals with a child, is to begin the walk down eating disorder lane.
Nice!
I thought about that when I posting my comment. My cousin’s son only eats frozen chicken nuggets and mac and cheese – the Kraft brand only. Period.
My daughter loved chicken Nuggets and French fries It was battle to get her to eat anything else.
Nice Italian Girl:
You are so right. My kids were on a peanut butter kick for a few months and wanted nothing but that. The Dr. told me let them have it, it was good for them. I still cooked for myself and my husband and made enough for the kids if they wanted it.
Teresa may have been rehearsed but she came across just fine.
Sophia i think your soooo wrong.Milania is very smart but i bet she was confused by the pic all she knows is it comes out of the oven.Dont you as an adult go shopping when your hungry and want to try or eat everything?Plus they way they cook as a family is not a 1 time thing they have a system. BTW most cookbooks her rehashed. Her books are great real easy to make and very Italian, food you get at higher class places. So very sad that you can just be happy for someone even if you dislike her and her fans.A little Caroline in you.
Well said !
sophia, you remind me very much of another poster on another blog. Same sentiments, same verbage but different name. hmmmmm interesting. In any case, I think Teresa did a very good job in the interview & I am one of those that find her to be very believable.
Funny you say that because I could have sworn I read this comment on another post some time ago.
I think she has held up so well under all the terrible things that have been said about her and her family. Just hope that I could do so well. Not sure I could. Pretty horrific.
I agree, Sandy…she signed up for all of it – the good as well as the bad and she handles it pretty well. Grace under pressure most of the time.
She is extremely rehearsed. Great term to use because it is true. She has the sincerity thing down to whether it is real or not. I saw her last June at a book signing & she was quite nice. However, the minute someone threw a question her way that was overly personal or revealing her little Bravo Assistant cut them off & said “due to confidentiality clauses bla bla blah” Ms. Giudice cannot discuss her personal life or the RHONJ Show. Stating “She is here to sign books & talk about her cookbooks”. She just smiled weakly every time that little sawed off runt went into his schpiel & then she would invite someone for a picture or her people would put someone in front of her for an autograph or photo to distract. Very well rehearsed and executed by Bravo I’m certain.
I do like the woman but I also know that once the last Re F U nion her popularity is going to wane.
She did a hair event (for Milania products) in Long Island last week & only 1/2 the expected fans showed up. People were walking past her, snubbing her like a fresh turd.
Sorry, but I don’t believe that. She was just at the Baltimore Book Festival, and she drew a big crowd who sat for an hour to listen to her speak.
Oh Jac……ummm I mean Sophia is back!
Ha! I’d love to see an impromptu interview! I teach college courses and you bet I take the time to prepare for my classes and I expect anyone who does public speaking to prepare as well. I like that Tree takes time to rehearse. She seems like she is anxious so being prepared provides security. Really, who wouldn’t be anxious when your employer messes with your psychological well being on a regular basis? Maybe if Jackaholic-xanaxaholic-tweetaholic-green home cleaningaholic-pimple creamacholic-autismaholic-Treeaholic (is there anything she isn’t addicted to?) took the time to prepare and “rehearse”, she wouldn’t have screwed the pooch during the PFS finale. She is dunzo because she didn’t prepare to do her job.
Me too ChemGeek. I took public speaking courses and worked with an Improv Comedy Troup to get over my shyness.
What’s wrong with being rehearsed. Most entertainers are coached on what they should or not say. I wasn’t able to view the video, but I think it’s great that she comes better prepared for interviews.
Lisa: Tree has said the exact same words so many times that she’s simply parroting what has been drilled into her by her PR people and media coaches. Boring!! TFC!! SH
It also sounds more rehearsed when you are listening and watching every single interview she gives. Watch ANY actor and actress doing press runs for a movie, you will notice that they use even the same anecdotes over and over again. If my students sat in all five sections I teach of one subject, I sound like a broken record. Of course I do- because I am conveying the same information to different audiences again and again. Rehearsing is good because it helps you get the main points out you want to convey. For some it can come off more memorized, with others it comes out more naturally.
Yes, and Teresa is NOT an actress. I would have to be prepared too…or risk sounding like a bumbling idiot. And Lord knows…..shes accused of sounding like a bumbling idiot all the time. So I cant blame her for preparing. Can you imagine if she hadnt? Everyone would be saying how stupid and uneducated she sounds. Like they do all the time. But really, Jac is the one that makes me cringe in her interviews. She has the voice of a fourteen year old girl and the vocabulary to match. …..like, I really do think this makeup….is like,……the best.
Good points, Antoinette Marie — and pretty name, too.
Really, Sofia, are you a mom with kids? I am. I remember my fabulous home-cooked meals, but my kids’ memories probably center around take-out pizza between baseball practice & carpool & homework.
Great point! You can cook a wonderful meal, but the kids will still fixate on pizza and mcnuggets.
Sorry, I disagree, Hersandra! My kids, even when they were toddlers, preferred my homecooked meals to takt-out food. They each had their favorite meal that I’d make, but they were used to my real, homecooked food, nightly. It was rare that we’d get anything take-out, even if we were in a rush.
Good for Teresa! This shows me…Teresa continues to learn and grow. Teresa has had to put up with — an abusive amount of pot-shots, and haters — attacking her about her business sense and education. Those of us who support Tre.encourage her to learn…learn…learn… There’s nothing wrong with that!!!
She is professional. Well groomed and polite. Stays on message. Mentioned calorie counts are contained in the back of each book (good). Mentioned compatible with diet plans (WeightWatchers). And I bet you could put her in a kitchen and ask her to make a certain receipe from her book, she could.
I think after hearing her schpeal 10 times now, even I can repeat the whole interview, word for word. She does seem nice though and she seems to be working hard.
