CAROLE RADZIWILL: Real Housewives of New York Reunion…Comparing MissAndy to Oprah?!… VIDEO

Poor Carole Radziwill… Carole says that the RHONY reunion is much worse than being with Oprey!  (Yes, we know it’s Oprah, but at SH she’s “Oprey.”)  Seriously, Carole?!  Comparing your “demotion” as a NY Housewife to that of solo guest on Oprey’s show?  Are you serious?

About Stoopid Housewives

The Real Housewives franchises have become a guilty pleasure for me and I've become intrigued by 'normal' people who would agree to put their lives on television for public display and scrutiny. What are their motives to divulge their daily routines for viewing audiences to approve, reprimand, berate, castigate, attack; basically abuse and judge? Oh, just forget about the above nonsense... the majority of these people are just stoo-pid.

I know this is kind of OT, but not really – I pulled for Lulu tonight. First time I’ve ever been in her court. Absolutely cannot stand Carole; she sounded like Kelly Bensimon several times tonight.

  2. Pompano Ann says:

For the first time in 5 seasons was glad the ladies put Luann in her place; sorry Pamela! It was not a stressful event like the NJ women, like pythons here in the Everglades fighting for the last gator.
Love Ramona but what was with the royal blue Xena warrior princes dress?

I like Carole, but she was offensively dismissive of Luann s feelings. Carole can’t insult and assume and then declare it’s okay because it wasn’t mean, well, no, sorry your Highness, but its not okay and you were insulting and mean. As well, I found the reasons she gave for being on rhony a little artificial, superficial…I don’t know…just didn’t ring true, but whatever.

It’s as if Carole was saying “, unlike the other housewives, as a very important journalist, I just simply must experience this amazing cultural spectacle, I’m drawn to it, no way am I doing this for attention or anything inferior like that, all the others humiliate themselves by being on these shows, but not me, I’m special, I am observing”…please…I feel like I’m the guys on watch what crappens, I like Carole, yet I’m constantly slamming her!

I see what you’re saying vish, except for the “as if” part. She actually did say: I am drawn to this by the spectacle of it. It was a flippant thing to say in front of the other women, but it was also her truth. At heart, like most journalists, she is most likely an extremely curious person. She needs to have the inside scoop.
Most of the women answer the “why” question by stating they came on the show because of the “opportunity” which is really just a less crass way of saying “I’m doing it for the money.” (I think if she could be truly honest she would say she also did it to promote her novelist career!) But I really get the feeling they are all discouraged from being blatant about their motives. She was as honest as was possible I think, without pissing Andy off, and I thought it was kind of refreshing.
There is a very fragile 4th wall on this show–and yet it seems they are all bound to uphold it. I think Carole is just saying what she can without knocking the wall completely
        down.

        • vish says:

I disagree, respectfully. I have to say, that I think all of these women do the HW shows first and foremost for the attention, and sure the money and product sales are great, but they want to be seen, loved, followed, admired, Carole wasn’t trying to spare Andy s feelings, she was concealing her ultimate motive, her ego.

          • taco tuesday says:

I don’t disagree with that. She wants the attention–for her writing career. Her book is her product. A well known novelist is loved and admired AND they get the money. And I’m not sure she cares about Andy’s feelings either, I think she just doesn’t want to break the rules. If she flat out said she was doing it for the exposure to ultimately sell more books, that comes across as even more condescending to the others. If she says that, then she’s really admitting she thinks she doesn’t have to play by the rules because she’s above it all. And of course she’s ambitious with a big ego otherwise she wouldn’t be in the position to be a NY housewife at all.
Either way, she’s not the typical housewife–and that’s why Andy asked her the question in the first place. I mean, she’s a princess, connected to the Kennedys- holla! :-D

            • skidly says:

Actually, it would be refreshingly honest if she had said, “Well actually, I am here to sell my book, you know that Andy we discussed it when I signed up”.

I almost like her the least of all, and that is saying something, given the competition. PT wins by a hair.

              • taco tuesday says:

That would have been great if she said that–and funny. I’m waiting for the day a housewife actually does say something to that effect. And who knows maybe they already have…and Andy just edits it out.
