He went on how he hates rudeness, and he was rude, but all he finally admitted to was “coming off a little aggressive, and there was no need for it” — Methinks Caroline her own self would not think that was a sincere apology because he didn’t say what she wanted Tre to say: “I am sorry that I was wrong.” Sorry, but you can claim to be fair and not take sides if you ONLY criticize/attack one side — you bet he took sides. I think he quit watching too soon – the last half of this season was brutal and very one-sided. It was good of him to have her back and say he was aggressive…….a qualified apology at best.

GuiltyofWH- I am glad that you also see Andy’s obsessive need to take T down. Even though I read somewhere that he was crazy about her, I believe that has got to be the biggest smoke screen ever. He keeps trying to say that he is crazy about her but his actions say otherwise and conveniently his friends in the media all have the same opinion of T before they allow her to speak? For example, Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa, and omg I just drew a blank but it will come back. Yea effen right! I really thought that was a lame attempt on Anderson and to have that blogger plant there to out her again with no evidence –as to take the shift off Anderson….priceless. Bryn and Shar, Anderson was definitely not prepared to look like a tool over a housewife! There is something to be said when a housewife has fierce fans and I don’t know if NeNe or Bethany does but it does’t appear that way– at least to me. I could be wrong but I have come to really admire T because I have never seen anyone stand alone when family, friends, her network producers and Andy along with the media attack her so viciously. It has been said that since Bethany despises T, she influences Andy to also hate on her for her lack of communication skills and according to them intelligence.
On our local Anderson he is discussing a woman who faked cancer in order to get breast implants. She received 8,000 dollars from various charities. Perspective folks. Anderson was not as harsh re the scamster as he was to Teresa Guidice. Tre remained calm yesterday while Anderson WENT OFF on her.

D, I agree it’s well of him that he tried to make amends but your point that he seemingly devolved into those who judge Teresa on smoke and mirrors alone really hits home with me. The frightening thing is he’s supposed to be a trained, experienced journalist. If he cannot control his personal emotions based on what evidence? when presenting a fluff piece then he belongs in the peanut gallery instead.

While compling a list of her lack of accountability perhaps you could also do a side by side comparison of the ENTIRE cast’s actions / reactions and words/ lies over the last two seasons. That would clarify it for me. I don’t want to read between the lines..spell it out for me.

I don’t hate Tre or any of them, but I do think she is a vile, nasty person. I will say they are all because they are. Yes! Lisa sticks to her guns when she feels strongly about something but never attacks others. She also keeps an open mind. I have seen this many times. She is funny too. I love when she tries to diffuse a situation with humor.

The thing is, it is next to impossible to write about each cast member in every post. Tre does this, Caroline does that etc. I try to keep my posts to the topic of the thread. If it is Tre, I speak about Tre. If it is Caroline, I address her. But, sadly, it seems that other posters respond by assuming that if I am speaking about Tre, than I must be pro Caroline or Jax. The fact is, that I am not on the side of any of these women. Whether it is due to the show, the editing, the producers or just a revealing of who they really are, none of these women are examples, of well balanced, sincere, adult women. IMO. At the same time, from time to time, I might agree with one or more of these women on their point of view.
I just do not think that I need to take a hard line SIDE when it comes to any of the NJ cast. If others think differently, that is certainly their right to do so.
Okay, now see, that was an interesting and honest response — I got jumped on a few times bec. a few thought I was attacking Tre and wasn’t a fan. No big deal. Actually, I wasn’t a fan but had become sympathetic after watching Teresa take a real emotional and mental beating from ALL the others – IMO, it has really been very one-sided this season and was just wrong.
A whole lot of innuendo and “can’t go into details, but you will see”…..seed planting by telling us over and over how horrible Teresa was, but with no supporting FACTS. Did she sleep with someone’s husband? They ALL have financial difficulties and lawsuits and Al was fired for lying to the governor, etc., but only Guidices gets attacked for theirs. Did she tell any of their confidences to her on twitter? (No, but others did hers) Understand — just tell us exactly what she did to be treated like scum. We just want fairness.
I think they will probably all be horrible at the reunion because emotions are raw all the way around and none are blameless — Bravo may not admit Cat the producer was fired, but….she is gone and there is plenty of evidence out there now that there was interference and manipulation by production; unfortunately she contributed to a great deal of damage before she did. So, do share with us specifics that support your opinions — we might all have to agree to disagree, but many have been asking EXACTLY what has Teresa done that is so unforgivable so let ‘er rip.

This interview seemed very forced; I didn’t get a feeling of genuine sympathy or apology for his actions. Seemed more like he was just making up for the cameras.
Shar, it’s so interesting that you thought his apology seemed insincere. “Apology”- it’s a word I keep associating with Teresa due to the show and press surrounding it. AC eagerly launched into, “But, is there anything you regret?” and aggressively pushed that. He wants her to apologize. They all want her to apologize. She has… but, it’s either “not real” or “not enough” or “convenient.” If she inquires, “How have I hurt you?” then the guttural reply ranges from, “You know what you did!” to “Teresa just doesn’t care.” I’d like to understand why it’s so significant that she yet again apologize for being human while others continue, unabashed, to direct an unhealthy level of animosity toward her on a consistent basis.
it is absolutely ridiculous for anderson to ask why Tre didn’t support Jaq. Jaq lied about her setting up Melissa, was terribly mean to her all year. they have 0 relationship or friendship. Why in the world would she reach out to support her child with autism. I know Tre feels badly for her son, and wishes her well, but I have people in my life who I have been friends with, and they are no longer my friends because of their actions, I would not reach out to them if something happened to their family. I would pray for them, but we have an acrimonious relationship and it is just flat out strange to reach out to people who you dislike and they dislike you at a time like that. Jaq, support yourself with the people you chose to stay in your life..Melissa and Caroline. Anderson, pull your head out of your butt. If you disliked someone because they called you names and did you wrong, you would not be reaching out to them for a family circumstance. You would pray for them, or wish them well silently, but not call them.

I’m going to sound insensitive (what’s new), but what on earth is the big freaking deal about this kid diagnosed as autistic? Autism is not uncommon (don’t 1 in 6 children have it)…this is all just a publicity stunt and it’s beyond annoying! I said this before and I’ll say it again…autism is a diagnosis that will requre Jax to change her life to make sure her son receives the educational/developmental/mental help he needs. It’s not the end of the world and it’s not a reason for Teresa to reach out to her. I mean, Jax’s family is HUGE…she doesn’t need the support of her ex best friend, to whom she referred to as scum, calling her to offer support. That’s so stupid.
Well said. Thank you. Why should Teresa reach out only to have it misconstrued. Either Teresa was going to be harassed for being insincere and fake or rejected. Teresa will never win with any of them. She is under a microscope and has been for 2 seasons and 2 years by friends and family.
I think Teresa errors on the side of caution when it comes to other peoples business. She said on camera she would never ask Jac about her family’s finances unless Jac brought it up. Jac and Tre said the used to talk on a daily basis, so I don’t think Tre knew what was going on with Nicholas until Jac made it public and then Tre sent her a text saying hope all goes well. That was a cordial thing to do. I don’t know what else Jac expected. I read The real reason Jac was mad is that Jac had a few endorsement deals pending…teeth whitener etc and then she finds out Teresa went and negotiated similar endorsement deals for herself. Everything would have been ok, but whomever decided not to use Jac. Now Jac thinks Tre screwed her over. It wasn’t the tabloid thing. Jac needs to let that sh*t go. I think the bottom line is that Tresa is popular and any “story” relating to her will sell. I think it is pretty nasty of Caro to hint that she will explain her “side” of the Teresa crap in her book! Please…Teresa should get a royalty check for that.
What makes Jac think Teresa owes her an explanation about her personal finances? I don’t ask my closest friends about their finances unless they bring it up.

I agree. The best thing you can do for an autistic child (or a child with any other disability, illness, syndrome, specialty) is be there for them. To publicly label them results in nothing positive. In this case because it’s on a national level of television am magazine covers, the stigma can be even greater because whereas he could otherwise go about his life unidentified as “autistic” now it will follow him for the rest of his life “oh, there’s tht kid from the RHONJ, he’s autistic”. I firmly believe it was irresponsible of the Manzos to make this issue public. They could have received resources privately without the need to milk this for publicity. Albie, in comparison is a full fledged adult, and his choice to make his learning disability public was HIS choice (we can presume, anyway). This is just one example of why I don’t respect the Manzos, and on top of all this, they try to still throw Tre under the bus because she “wasn’t there for Jac”. Surprised she didn’t get put through the ringer for not driving Ashley to the airport or cleaning up Critterfur’s vomit. Jeez.

Thing is, Teresa did the best thing a friend can do: she kept Jaqueline’s request and honored her confidence not to tell anyone – producers or friends or family for a year. For Jaq to claim a year later when their friendship is kaput that Teresa was non-supportive when Jaq released it all publicly is just an lie and manipulative because she had been supportive from the beginning. That is the kind of twisted, sick thing these women keep doing that I honestly don’t understand why other people can’t see it. Not one word was mentioned about Teresa manhandling Melissa at the b’day party – but a lot was said about Teresa grabbing Kathy’s chin, and I think that was inspiring to Melissa: it didn’t have to be true, but “possible” and there we go again!! I understand there are people who were there that said that definitely never happened, but ……you can’t win those points bec. you can’t PROVE anything either way.
Be glad when my foot heals and I won’t have time for this — I hate unfairness the way Anderson says he hates rudeness and this is all really ticking me off.

They are both passive aggressive. It is strange to see Anderson Cooper doing this type of TV talk show. It cheapens him.

There was 0 reason for Tre to reach out to an ex friend and enemy now whose child was diagnosed. she can internally wish her well, but no reasonable person to reach out to someone as unstable as Jaq after a year of non communication- especially they were not communicating because the relationship was toxic.

Exactly. I respect that Teresa is real. She blows up sometimes, but to me that’s part of her charm. Her family also seems very real to me. What I don’t respect is the passive aggressive personality types or the sanctimonious, pontificating ones.
I don’t think that Teresa is special, it’s reality T.V. None of these women have real talent.But I believe that Teresa has been through enough drama form all the women on the show and these supporter refuse to stand by a bully.Its like The show The Bad Girls Club with grown women.
Tre does have some special charisma that people love to watch her! Part of it has to be her courage and stoicism thru her personal adversities while raising four young girls. She maintains her minimum standards to always having very well dressed children, a clean house and always smiling. People like that.

Anything that has to do with YOUR child,IS a big deal. IMO it’s how you cope with it. Many autistic kids are mainstreamed into regular classes,some need more attention. The Manzoids got away with it once with Danielle because (1) Danielle had a LOT of skeletons in her closet, and (2) it was early on and people were buying Cowoline and Wacko’s fake personas, but they overestimated their influence and overplayed their hand with Tre. Tre doesn’t have anything in her background even remotely resembling the issues surrounding Danielle and, as people started to see through Cowoline and Wacko and their own true characters and backgrounds started to come out, they ended up just looking like bullies (in Cowoline’s case) and idiots (in the case of Wacko).
Add to that mix Melvin (whose “sprinkle cookie gate” excuse for hating Teresa seemed grossly disproportionate to Joe’s actions when, egged on by Melvin and her sisters, he called his own sister “garbage” on national television) and Kathy (whose reasons for siding with Melvin over Tre were never explained), and you end up with two seasons that are based entirely on a gang of hypocritical idiots attacking someone who is obviously a pretty simple person and who was going through what no one could reasonably deny was a very difficult time in her life.
So it’s not that Tre is “special;’ it’s that people do not like hypocrisy and they really don’t like to see others ganged up on and bullied; as a result, viewers are motivated to come to Tre’s assistance and call the bullies out on their hypocrisy and misbehavior, and perhaps even more so because Tre is not terribly articulate and standing up for herself verbally would be difficult for her to do.
Viewers are also likely to stand up for Tre with respect to Bravo, which appears to have encouraged the cast’s bad behavior and profited from it. This is in part because the institutional bias against Tre appears to come from the fact that she’s a first generation Italian American — it was notable, for example, that Anderson felt compelled to state that he was a WASP who grew up in a home where people did not give voice to their disagreements — and, while the audience “gets” Tre and Juicy, Bravo executives and producers don’t understand and/or don’t respect the cultural differences here.
Well said! I feel bad for Tre only because her brother started all this mess just to get Missy on tv. He hurt his sister and his nieces so that Missy could be “famous”. It’s sad and Tre is truly heartbroken over it while Melissa thinks it’s amusing.

I have to say, watching AC my heart breaks for Teresa. She was victim of a producer’s attempt at bringing in ratings and it has spiraled to the point of no return. This show really should be cancelled.

lisa. I really believe if Tre’s kid had autism, and Jac did not say anything tre would say, we hate each other and haven’t spoken for a year. I did not expect her to, I have plenty of true family and friends supporting me. she has not been in my life for a super long time, and it is ridiculous for an expectations there.

I would like to give a comment about whether or not Teresa should have done or said more to Jacqueline regarding her sons autism from my perspective. As some of you know when I joined this site a few months back I had just lost my best friend of 20+ years without giving out to much detail I will say that she had a daughter who lets just say didn’t treat her mother in the best way she could have for all that her mother did for her. Before my friend passed away she asked me to make a promise to her she asked me to watch out for her daughter see no matter how badly she treated her mother her mother loved her rightfully so, knowing this I made my promise to her. Her daughter and I were cordial over the years but never close even though we were close in age my friend use to tell me and she really didn’t need to because it was apparent whenever we were all together that she seemed jealous of the closeness her mother and I use to have. After my friends passing I learned from a mutual friend of some issues that were going on in her daughters life. So I reached out to her by phone leaving a message because I got no answer I texted her, I sent her email even left her messages on her FB to let her know I was sorry about the situation that was going on and to let her know that I was there for her if she needed just to talk. To this day I have never received a call back email or text. Many nights I would go to bed with a heavy heart thinking I let my friend down then I realized that I can’t make her reach out nor force her I can only be here when she is ready if ever. I think that is what my friend meant by making me promise to be there for her daughter. Jacqueline is so consumed with anger and frustration but I don’t think at Teresa but more of the situation and the struggles that come with having a child with a disability( I don’t know if autism is considered that as I don’t know much about it). I think when Jacqueline finally gets a grip on her life and comes to terms and lets go of the anger within herself just like my friends daughter she will see that Teresa was there for her and I for my friends daughter.

When Anderson asked Tre if her family all got along before the reality show cameras started rolling, she gave 3 count them, 3 different answers. First she said yes, they “Always got along before her family came on the show”, then she said she and her brother were very close until he got married. Then she said that they all got along until Melissa had their first child. So what is the correct answer Tre??? See, she does LIE!
Then she tried to keep pressing that her family “went behind her back” to get on the show. This statement has already been disputed and argued. Tre will say anything to try to be “Right!”
See here’s where there might be an issue with semantics. She could have very well had a perfectly fine relationship with her brother but not w/ Melissa. She doesn’t distinguish one from the other. I get along with my sister in law just fine. But we do it because we’re family not because we would otherwise like each other. Tolerating someone can be considered getting along.
I agree — it’s semantics. When Tre refers to “family,” she’s almost certainly referring to blood relatives. She stated, for example, that she loved her brother and her niece and nephews but understandably made no reference to Melvin.
Tre saying that she got along with JOE before he came on the show is not inconsistent with saying that she and Joe were CLOSE before he married.
And while Tre did say that her family “went behind her back” to get on the show and, yes, this statement has been “disputed and argued,” the very fact that it’s been disputed and argued illustrates that there is no absolute right or wrong here. Tre is allowed her opinion just as others are allowed theirs and, since the issue revolves around HER feelings, I would kind of give her the high ground on that.
In short, I’m not seeing a “lie” here anymore than I would suggest that Wacko is lying when she says she’s is a licensed cosmetologist. People suggested Wacko was lying because she didn’t have a New Jersey license but, when she posted her license, it became clear that she is licensed — in NEVADA.
An example of a “lie” would in my opinion be when Melvin says she worked at Lookers for “a couple of weeks” when her employment — as evidenced by her pay stubs — extended for nearly a year. Similarly, I would consider it a lie when Melvin says she and Joe married right after she graduated from college but then it becomes clear that “Melissa Gorga” graduated well after her marriage to Joe. Those are lies.

I don’t think that she was lying really. I saw the interview and saw when she gave her response to that question. The thing with Teresa, as many people have said, is that she just doesn’t know how to articulate herself clearly. In watching interview clips of her, she doesn’t seem to know how to give a proper timeline of events, without going off on a tangent to explain something else. She comes across unfocused, and trying to explain several things at once. If she would just stay on track with a statement, instead of going off to explain something else, she’d make more sense. When Anderson asked her that question, she could have said, “Well, there was a long period of time that I was close to my brother and we all got along, but things started to go downhill after Melissa had her first child. We still tried to get along after that, but things did not work out, and we werent really speaking until they joined the show behind my back”. Anderson only has so much time to sit and listen to her give explanations, before he has to move on to another question, and she can’t speak quickly and give clear, concise statements, so it seems like she is lying, when she might really just be trying to remember how events played out, but her inabiltiy to clearly explain herself, and his need to move on to more questions, makes her look like she doesn’t know what she is talking about.

Getting along with your family members doesn’t mean you have to be close and don’t fight, Kate. They all clearly got along enough for Melissa’s sisters to spend practically every weekend with the Giudices in 2009.
Really? “LIE!” I thought I heard many times on the Napa trip, Melissa state that they were getting along like they used to. The four of them (Giudices and Gorgas) sure looked like they knew how to get along with each other on that trip. What is the “LIE?” That Teresa can’t pin down the exact moment things went from get along to Armageddon?
IMO Teresa is naive and seems bewildered by her issues with her family. Teresa responds to questions in an almost stream of consciousness manner. it seems as if she is puzzling it out . When you lose a loved one it is not only difficult to point out what the catalyst was or even the timeline. Teresa still seems to be in the mourning stage for her relationship with Jo. At this point , a year later why was Anderson harping on the details?

Claiming Juicy cheated on Tre, calling her scum, going on crazy twitter rants etc. Jack is obsessed with Tre. If Teresa did text her with sympathies about her son, that’s more than most people would have done, IMO.
Maybe Panderson should have shown screenshots of the MYRIADS of hateful things Jax has tweeted/blogged/DM’d about Tre in the past year… I’m NOT saying Tre is perfect but let’s be fair.

Melissa has stated that they went on the show to take Tre down. I know that sometimes I feel like my family and I get along and sometimes we don’t. I really think Tre means – that they weren’t not speaking and yelling at each other like now. You can be getting alone, but having your fights. It is true that the family had Christmas together, and were civil. It is also a true statement that she and her brother were very close until he got married, then they probably just got along. Then maybe they were getting along okay, until Melissa had her first child, then maybe it was more strained. Now the relationship is completely fractured since she is on the show and they came on the show to take her down. I see it very clearly that she was telling the truth in all those statements. You can get along, but now it is totally fractured.

I think Teresa was used for promotion to advertise that Andy Cooper even had a show, I know I did not know about it.
