When she said “autistic son” during the clip that WWHL ran last night, the camera was full on in her face. She cant backtrack now and say she didn’t say that or that it was editing.
I do see what you mean about the editing though… many many times throughout the season. Editing can make someone look like a crazed lunatic by editing out the offending words that someone might have said that tipped someone over the edge in the first place.
For instance, if Don would have smacked Jax on on the back of the head after the phrase “autistic son” escaped her lips, but Bravo edits out the phrase then all we, the viewers, are left with is seeing Don whack Jax upside the head.
I am disturbed that Jax said it, but I really wish Bravo would just leave it in there so that at the very least Autism Speaks will cut ties with her publicly. And at most Nicholas’ pediatrician would see once and for all the kind of mother he is dealing with and the appropriate phone calls can be made.

She is swearing on her child first of all. And she is loving the autistic label just a bit too much for my liking. It just very uncomfortable to watch a mother do that. Who says that? I dare say even pervert George from RHNY never said “I swear on my one-legged daughter’s life.” And even that analogy doesn’t do justice to my thoughts on this issue. Its just very…off putting and odd unnecessary thing to say. I would never say “I swear on my near sighted daughter…” Why bother with the near-sighted part? Does that make sense? Just kinda waves a red flag for me.
She waves that autistic label on her son around like a talisman to ward off criticism or to imbue her BS with sincerity. It’s like she is saying, “My swearing on my AUTISTIC child is more genuine than swearing on a regular child, ‘cuz what kind of person would falsely swear on an AUTISTIC child. Are you gonna call the mother of an AUTISTIC child a liar?”.
