I don’t think Teresa’s success is inexplicable, she offered an authentic, rustic Italian cookbook with tried and true recipes. I’m Italian so I couldn’t imagine buying an Italian cookbook but I have contemplated buying Teresa’s just to see how alike our recipes are, the ones she posts on twitter seem like all of those that we make. A pre-mixed Ballini (sp) is pretty slick too. Just as slick as Bethenny bottling the classic/original recipe for a Margueritta and slapping *skinny* on it. The teeth whitening system is pretty slick, it’s a huge market and we all have longed for Teresa’s hair so the hair care launch is pretty damn smart as well.
There is no question that she has been and still is very successful. Her fans love her and she treats them well. She works hard and who can fault her for that?
I have not bought any of her cookbooks but I’ve never heard anything but good reviews from people who have.

Im Italian ,but i still have Teresa book. Its a great book. I love it,it is like my moms cooking who is off the boat like Ts mom. It’s all ther nice and neat typed up.I wish she would come up with one for siclian cooking for my dads side.Hello, what about riceballs?Anyway im not a fan of cooking but she makes it fast and easy.As for her hair its always been nice but now it has a healthy bounce to it,i heard thats hard to do w/ curly hair that she has.Teethwhiting is great but i dont like trays so i get zoom done about every six months.

Without Tre on the show Jax and Caroline would eventually turn on each other. They need to have someone to hate on. Missy is delusional if she thinks that Caroline will allow her to be the “star”, and steal the limelight on from her brood. Missy and Don have agreement of convenience. I doubt Caroline truly has a very high opinion of Missy. I also doubt Missy would hang out with Don Caro in real life. Caroline and Missy would eventually clash, and Jax and Kathy would get caught in the collateral damage.
I think they should all be axed. I think Bravo should start scaling back all the Housewives shows, none of them are what they used to be.

When MeGo joined the show she hadn’t spoken to Tre for a year, per her first blog. She only started talking to her to be on the show. It makes me so angry that Andy Cohen and the rest of the cast simply sweeps under the carpet the fact that MeGo was in cahoots with Danielle.

Has anyone else read Andy Cohen’s autobio, where he says the RHONJ asked questions that no other HW had ever asked when they were negotiating to sign on to the show — like whether any other housewives had ever been audited or wiretapped as a result of being on a RHO show. What does that tell you about this NJ group?
Have to throw this thought out…We all get upset with Teresa and how she seems to let Juicy speak to her so disrespectfully, but, we’ve seen her brother treat her with the same disrespect. I suspect that Teresa lets Juicy talk to her in that manner because that is what she was raised with and that is her *normal*. In season 3 Teresa made the comment to Jacko that her brother scares her with his outbursts and that is why she didn’t want to be around him. We’ve witnessed how he rages against her in the very first episode and then in season 4 at the pool party, which was edited down, way down, according to Teresa. She has obviously been subject to this verbal abuse her whole life, which normally would elicit sympathy but somehow, someway, there are so many idiots out there that blame Teresa? That pig Traylor, who was never abused, got TONS of sympathy and yet Teresa, dealing with TWO abusive men in her life is not considered a victim. I swear this world is upside down. Black is white, up is down, right is wrong. I just don’t get it.
I agree and want to add that I saw a clip where Joe Gorga said he has his father’s personality, he’ s just like him. Growing up around Italian men all my life I can see why Tre might be scared of her brothers outbursts, but can also understand because the women do just “take it”. Most of the times, they’re all bark and no bite. My grandfather was like that and my grandmother would just roll her eyes and do what she wanted anyway. I don’t know how to explain it, I agree it borders on abuse, but honestly you would have had to grow up with it to understand it.
@Bhurst Girl I agree with you as well, but it is still demoralizing to the person suffering (and they are suffering) the abuse. All bark/no bite is a poor excuse to let yourself be disrespected. However, I DO NOT blame Teresa, I could never blame the victim. She seems to have things in control now and for that she deserves accolades. I think the abuse Teresa received from her brother is the reason Juicy doesn’t like him, ironic, yes, but Juicy didn’t get so “barky” until his world turned upside down. Remember his motto “Happy wife, happy life”? Not saying Juicy was the perfect gentleman but I think he was a step up from her father and brother. I have sympathy for Tre having to put up with Cheating and verbal abuse from the men in her life I dont think its her fault It saddens me she thinks she has to put up with it and pass that along to her girls eventually her girls will start back talking her as well
Lisa , I can assure you girls will talk back to their mothers anyway. It’s natures way of preparing them to leave the nest and fly away to make lives and homes of their own. As sure as the sun rises in the morning daughters will disrespect their mothers .It’s amzing to watch your darling angel metamorphis into the Beast that roars. Eventually they want to understand how you tolerated it and also thank you for loving them through it.
Too true, Aunt Pittypat, too true. When my daughter turned 14 she turned into this, um, well, the only way to put it is…she turned into a major pain in the ass. Sorry, but she did… I remember talking to her Principal and explaining how she was such a different person, I would say white and she would say black, and her principal asked “how old is she now?’ and I replied “14″ ‘Ahhhh”, that’s when it starts”. She then went on to say it will get better when she leaves for college!!!!!! I truly didn’t know if I would be able to make it till then! Lmao! Don’t get me wrong, she was a great kid. Her teachers, coaches, everyone just adored her. She was polite and helpful and a great student. I use to say it was like living in the movie “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” and my daughter was one of the pod people because she was sooooooooooooo different at home. And the hormones….don’t get me started! Your bodies start fighting for dominance and whew! The fights were epic! I took comfort that I was the one she took her angst out on and saved the sweetness for everyone else.
adios, I noticed that too. She has a hell of a backbone when she is confronted by a woman, but is very quite when it is her husband. I noticed that about Caroline as well.
Caroline in the car with her husband, he said to her” we are Switzerland” she say’s nothing. When normally she would have a lot to say. She also got pretty quite when Joe got up and yelled, that last day of the California trip. For a mouthy lady, she backs down fast with men.
Tre is the most noticeable, she loses it when confronting a woman, but shuts down with her husband. She seems to be on some middle ground with her brother. Not as crazy with him as other ladies, but not as silent as she is with her husband. She is no ball buster, that is for sure.
I read some where that he was arrested, or maybe just cops called at their shore house for hitting Melissa. The person who wrote it was taunting Melissa to tell everyone about that. My opinion of Slow and Skank is that everything about them is fake. They came on to put Teresa down, but also to convince us that they are the perfect couple. I believe T when she says her brother and Richie talk the same way. I am not forgiving anything Joe Guidice has said or done, but I don’t remember all this anger from him before the Whoregas showed up.
Juicy is for better or worse one of the most real people on a reality show,and I think the phony crap sickens him.

IT is not just the people on the board, it is the law. It is never okay to hit someone, of any gender. Self-defense is exactly that.. a defense in court. You will be arrested if you harm another person physically and they press charges.
Self-defense (again, defense being key) is looked at by a jury as justifiable when the person believes they in harm of imminent physical injury or death. If this is the case, they will still be arrested and tried, and they will use the defense of “self-defense.”
Best to go back to our kindergarten days, “keep your hands to yourself.”

He seems the most manly, in the sense that he doesn’t pretend to be a HW like the other busy body husbands do. He never talks to the camera like they do.

I don’t like the way Joe talks to Tre either. But her kids will talk back at some point. I’ve yet to see a parent whose kids didn’t. All part of growing up. As a parent you don’t want to squash their having their own mind (God forbid that’s a lifelong problem for some.) But you just find the line you won’t let them cross & when they do (& they will) you put your foot down.Part of the whole kid /parent relationship.
