KATHY WAKILE: Kathy’s BravoBlog… “Better Late Than Never” Does Not Apply…

September 14, 2012  11:10 am   Bravo…   NOTE:  KomaKathy was delayed… for this?? What a joke!  The RHONJ get their Sunday episode to view on Wednesday… so, it took KomaKathy NINE whole days to compose a few sentences?  AND… she had to throw in something about 9.11!

“Leave me alone, Richie!  I gotta “write” sumthin’ for Bravo!  OK, I’m done….”

Hi everyone!

Wow I’m really late on this week’s blog. Sorry for the delay. I’ve been a little busy wrapping up some projects that I’m working on. I can’t wait to share them with you as soon they’re ready. Check out my website and see what’s new.

OK let’s get to the episode.

I really enjoyed watching the Gorgas and Giudices getting the kids off to school. The excitement on their little faces were adorable, and their parents were also so funny as they scurry about to get the kids back into a routine after a carefree summer. It feels like only yesterday I was following the school bus to school as Victoria started kindergarten. I know, I know, that seems a little neurotic and overprotective, but I just couldn’t help it.

That’s the way I was as soon as I became a parent, and I guess you can see some things haven’t changed much in 18 years. I’ve always been the type of person that devotes myself wholeheartedly to something I’m passionate about. When it comes to my kids, it’s on a whole other level. I’ve always looked at parenting like this; when we leave our homes we lock them and we store away all of our valuables with such care. Well what’s more valuable to us as parents than our children? I think that you would all agree that there isn’t a single thing. Overprotective? Yes, that’s my duty and my passion.

After visiting The University of Maryland, I actually gained a new perspective and became much more open to Victoria going away to school. As I mentioned, I didn’t go to college and I really didn’t know what to expect from campus life. The students that gave us a tour were wonderful and so informative, we were lucky to hear all of their experiences. I’m glad that they had a great sense of humor as well.

Visiting our nation’s capital was an added bonus to our trip. Although we have visited Washington D.C. with Victoria and Joseph before, this trip was much more profound since they are a little  older and were able to gain more appreciation from the experience. It was a great way for Rich and me to share some of our family’s history and the sacrifices our parents made to start new lives in America. As we sat at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial it isn’t hard to become inspired as we look around and recognize the struggles and sacrifices of our forefathers that have fought for our freedom have made.

I leave you this week with my final thoughts and prayers for all the victims of 9/11 and their families. For the survivors I pray that you find peace. I continue to give thanks to the brave men and women that protect us and our country’s freedom here and overseas.

Lots of Love,

xoxo Kathy

About Stoopid Housewives

The Real Housewives franchises have become a guilty pleasure for me and I've become intrigued by 'normal' people who would agree to put their lives on television for public display and scrutiny. What are their motives to divulge their daily routines for viewing audiences to approve, reprimand, berate, castigate, attack; basically abuse and judge? Oh, just forget about the above nonsense... the majority of these people are just stoo-pid.

  1. Jenga says:

    “KomaKathy”………laugh everytime I read it.

  2. maybeitsyou says:

Hope she’s able to let go & see past the mom role.

  3. Mel says:

Her blog is as boring as she is. The funny thing is……i didn’t even noticed she didn’t write a blog until it was posted here lol.

  4. Ana Cephaly says:

Zzzzzzzzzzzz……..what, huh? Did you say something KomaKathy?

  5. love nj says:

Wow. Exciting. Inspirational. Informative. Yes, I am being sarcastic.

  6. paula2 says:

She didn’t really say anything. I forgot about it already.

  7. difromnyc says:

Well they did get ALL the remaining episodes to watch prior to the reunion so she had to watch 3 hours worth

  8. pjbottoms says:

Blog shoud be titled, “I Give Helicopter Parents a Bad Name.” Actually, the caption under the photo was hilarious. “Ok I’m done writing” LOL! I can’t take another season of Kathy! I just can’t.

  9. MTL3126 says:

Boy she sounds like Jacko and her many projects that are top secret.

    • HaLaLa says:

That’s what I thought..the ones who are the least busy have the most “exciting projects” that they can’t talk about hmmmm I call BS.

    • Don'tkidakidder says:

Thankfully neither of them share all these exciting projects with us.

    • shelagh5 says:

What projects? That’s what I was wondering too… I guess you have to go to her sight to find out what they are….I refuse to go there… She just doesn’t impress me in the least, she is boring, go tell caro about your projects… Wait maybe she is making desserts for the new restaurant the manzos are opening up…and perhaps serve her red velvet wine along with it… Hmmm, just a thought..

  10. calvin07 says:

Yawn…..zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Why did Jax pop xanax when Kathy has the same mind numbing affect.

  11. DDisher says:

She’s busy calling the Countless to see how you have a baby 43 years after menopause. She doesn’t have one that looks like Rich yet. Or, she’s baking a smashed pie. Same thing really.

  12. Antonella says:

Such a memorable person and blog! SNOOORE

  13. housewife hoe says:

I’m wondering if Froggy knows she is not coming back so that is why she is not putting any effort into her blog?? Oh I can only hope.

  14. KateH says:

Last season, I was happy to see what seemed like a somewhat “normal” and mildly entertaining family. I thought that they would be a nice balance to all the rest of the crazies on this show. But, this year, they are sadly disappointing, from Rich and his sexual nonsense and Kathy and her boring “I’m just Old Fashioned”, nonsense! She doesn’t have time to write her blogs…..well, I don’t have 20 seconds to read that vapor! Bye! Bye! Boring Wakiles!

  15. maybeitsyou says:

Yeah, I don’t hate KomaKat but I do think she’s been playing the mom/wife role so long she doesn’t have her own interest anymore. Makes for a boring personality really.

  16. love nj says:

“We’re old school” has a whole new meaning after watching the Gas Stations at the University of Maryland.

    • Aint Pittypat says:

I love the Gas Stations moniker . LOL! It suits the Wakiles to a T.

      • love nj says:

Dear Aint: I just can’t resist. These two kicked Tre around so viciously. But Kathy’s father and Tre’s father had a major falling out and the families did not talk for about 10 years. History is repeating with this generation. And Mr. Gas Station’s comments about both Tre and Melissa (and him rubbing Little Gas Station Nozzle against Melissa) are disgusting. Funny how Mr. Gas Station showed how lazy he was on the trip – Kathy had to clean up everything.

        • Aint Pittypat says:

Richie has the creep factor times a million. I was totally turned off when Richie did the big successful business man routine with his son and kept restating why he was so-o-oo successful in comparison to Joe Guidice. He sounded like a gossipy old hen wanting to play big shot. I found out about the Exxon lawsuit on SH. Talk about confirmation ! He failed to bring the sexy but oozed sleaze.

    • pjbottoms says:

OMG! so funny! And Univ of MD is a great school!

  17. Debbie says:

She couldn’t write much because Caroline wasn’t around to help her write the blog so she kept it simple-LOL

  18. duh says:

It is nauseating how Kathy wears “Mom” on her sleeve like she is the only mother ever in existence. I couldn’t believe the dumb comments she and her idiot husband made to their children visiting DC. And doesn’t she know that we know her daughter never went away to college? Another smother mother like Caro. Sad thing about Kathy is she has never developed beyond being a “mom.”

  19. @anita_bonitita says:

How about the RIch comment sitting at the Lincoln Memorial, “America where you can steal legally”. WHich is another word for bankruptcy, steal and then say I can’t pay!

  20. Parkview says:

Kathy, I hope you are happy that you threw your cousin under the bus for a friendship with the Frownstone owners. I guess you know they are moving to Hobokken. Starting a new life there. Keep in touch. Maybe you can email each other.

  21. maggs1221 says:

LMAO!!! I clicked on her website:

    Kathy Wakile
    Maintenance Mode

Kathy Wakile is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance.

    Please try back again soon.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    • TV Junkie says:

Now that’s funny! What in the world would be so complex and important on her website that it would have to have “scheduled maintenance”?

  22. meowalert says:

First off, I am a parent. It’s importance, sense of reward, and the devotion placed on this should be a given. I never feel the need to force my children or my parenting role down other peoples throats. That said; I find this modern trend of obsession with parenting- motherhood especially to be ridiculous and over kill. I have no interest in the pregnancies, baby bumps, newborn photos or activities of celebrity’s children. Never have. Blessed with many important little ones and teens in my own circle. Kathy nor any one else deserves praise or admiration for simply loving and caring for their kids. I don’t understand this social trend at all.

    • maggs1221 says:

I wish I could repost your comment on my Facebook meowalert….omg all the posts by everyone on how great their kids are, how they are such good parents, pic after pic of babies, I don’t go on as much anymore cause it sucks. Almost everyone seems to post stuff to get compliments on how great their parenting is, or how great their kids/hubbie is. gag me.

    • KateH says:

Well, put, meow! I have three grown children and I love them beyond words, but, what I am most happy about is that they are fully equipped to live their own best lives! I have NO desire to insert myself into their professional lives, nor their personal lives. I did my job, now, I just enjoy them and cheer them on. When asked for advice, I am happy to share my point of view, other than that, I keep my opinions to myself.
Like you, I am tired of the baby bumps, photos, new products and companies for babies started by celebs! Boring!! The praise and admirations for just doing the job of parenting is over the top!
Kathy and Carowhine need to learn that motherhood is NOT hanging on to your “Babies” forever. It is about teaching them life lessons and preparing them for the Rest of Their Lives! Shame on them for Using their Kids, to get attention and praise for themselves! OH! and….NO this is not “Old School”…..this is “Selfish School”…….in the words of Jill Z….”Get A Hobby!”

      • Aint Pittypat says:

Amen. You said it so well. Recently went on a museum trip with relatives and their children. It turned into a cutesy posey photo shoot for toddler girl instead of enriching play and learn experience. IMO the celeb mentality has permeated our culture. Don’t stone me ladies, I am simply missing the days when children were allowed to be children.

        • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

          Amen Piity
I remeber on summer days playing hide and go seek after dark withthe nieghborhood kids
and not being afraid of the Boogyman well except for the one who lived under my bed.

          • Aint Pittypat says:

ITA Lisa. We didn’t go home until the streetlights came on and then only when our Moms appeared on the sidewalk calling us in.

          • madepiley says:

Lisa I was convinced the devil lived in my closet. And the hallway light did little to convince me otherwise, since it just tended to illuminate the demonic looking flowers on the 70′s wallpaper.many a night I would have rather jut laid there and peed the bed then to chance a trip down the hallway.

            • originalcyn1 says:

When I stayed at my Grandparents I slept with 4 dogs so all was well. At my parents it was a different story. My father bought me a huge stuffed dog I used as a decoy in case someone came into my room at night to get me. I was a strange child!

            • housewife hoe says:

After watching Friday the 13th I was convinced that Jason was under my bed. I remember I had to sleep with the lights on for about a year.

            • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

My dad was fire and brimestone preacher I was conviced everynight i was goin gto wake up and find out everyone was raptured but me
I remeber that floral wallpaper type

              • Parkview says:

Lisa, do you remember the movie “left Behind”? I know you have seen it. We were made to watch it repeatedly over the years in youth groups. I was waaaay too young at first viewing and still cannot get the beheading images off my mind. Who needed Freddie Kruger when we had…..church to scare the hell out of us?

              • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

I have never watched the Left behind series it wasnt out when i was a teenager plus Kurt cameron is a d***wad IMO i boycott anything he is in.
But yea the whole rapture thing freaked me out and kept me up nights when i was little and believed everything i was told thank god I grew up

              • Parkview says:

You know I think i had the title wrong. It was just a movie not a series and no Kirk Cameron in it. My bad.

              • madepiley says:

Me too. My daddy wasn’t a preacher but momma did everyone’s hair from the church so… jacked up to Jesus as they say. Anyways, more than once I came home from school and if I wasn’t greeted immediately I assumed Jesus came back and didn’t take me. Prolly because I left the house mad at momma for some reason or another and stepped on every crack in my path just out of meanness. I just knew I deserved the fires of hell over that.
Now with the goings on in the news I am getting concerned that the rapture will not happen before Armageddon. I had sorta counted on it all going down just like the Left Behind series and the Thief in the Night depicted.(remember that from the 80′s released about the time grocery stores first started scanning bar codes?) It was like required viewing at our church.

              • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

I am a heathen now so i know either way my fate is sealed. Have you ever read any of Hal lindseys books he was a big aurthor on the end times his books have scared me I so remember watching the Movie Thief in the Night so chilling she walks into the church and the Preacher was left behind the door to door searches after the rapture i use to have nitemare about that.

              • madepiley says:

Yes that part was scary for sure. You are coming to heaven with me Lisa. We are all heathens.

              • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

Well ill since You are gonna be there Ill just hang on to your ankles as you float up

              • madepiley says:

lol. deal. If I can get in then you will prolly be golden.

              • Aint Pittypat says:

How did I miss this discussion. My Dad was the local sheriff (try dating with your Dad following you in the Police Cruiser) and my Grandad was a hard shell Baptist preacher. Good times. Needless to say my role could not be anything less than wild child. Throwing black cat firecrackers in the Tent Revival meeting. Driving my new red mustang down Main Street in my pegnoir and a really great tan plus 3 drunk girlfriends. Aw memeories.

              • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

OH man you are bad..lol worse i ever did was tell my parents that Taco bell wouldnt let me have sundays off when i requested to work sundays. I was to afraid of my mom to lie anymore then that

              • Parkview says:

Google tells me the movie I was talking about is called Image of the Beast….because everyone wants their 8 year olds to watch a movie called Image of the Beast.

              • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

Oh no i never saw that one…off to google it

              • Aint Pittypat says:

Lisa, I was bad but really really fun!

              • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

i missed out on so much lol

      • pjbottoms says:

        Excellent post! ITA!

    • shelagh5 says:

      Meow,
You said it all… Most of us are parents grandparents… Love our children, our in laws, I never throw it around, well maybe a little… But for me it’s called life… Good days, bad days, life…

      • lisa the Irish Dragon says:

Remember the days when parenting was being a parent not being your kids friend
I long for those days to

        • shelagh5 says:

Oh Lisa so do I.. I’d do anything in the world to think my grandchildren could go and play with their friends, not worry… But parents are friends not parents, I see it everyday…let them grow up, smell the air and have a seance of worth in their lives… Sorry I kind of went on.. Wishful thinking

    • JD says:

You’lll be much more pissed to learn that someone tweeted Meho the stripper, that they like the fact that her kids are ALWAYS with her…Um Meho’s kids are RARELY with her, how can you PARTY (she claimed that they are a partying couple, yeah see their first season blog) with your kids. She only twee their pics on their birthday or when she’s getting the backlash.

      • Ana Cephaly says:

Dear God, I hope her kids aren’t always with her. If they were, then she would be dragging them to nightclubs to watch her prance around scantily dressed while lip synching to her auto-tuned crimes against pop music until the wee small hours of the morning. Also, the sight of their father motor boating a pre-op transsexual in a gay bar might send those kids into therapy.

        • Aint Pittypat says:

We are way past the powers of therapy with these ones. MeHo has gorgeous children but I think she is sick and disgusted with JoGo and his teensy tarzan. I can almost see her skin crawl and Meho flinch with disgust when he touches her.MeHo wants out. She seems to be focused on her non-existent singing career. Poor babies. I can see her warbling off key in a dive bar in a few years.

      • TV Junkie says:

I saw on twitter that MeHo is performing at some nightclub Saturday night. I’m pretty sure she ain’t takin’ the kids along. I wonder how many week ends she spends at home with them? According to her own twitter and her idiotic sisters’ twitters, there is always a club that she is performing at. Sounds like one big party every week end.

        • pjbottoms says:

I felt so bad for Antonia when her mom said that Antonia wasn’t in the mood for a birthday party this year or whatever. I have never met a kid that didn’t want some type of birthday party.

        • deb says:

Shes going to be at the Mohegan Sun in PA upcoming soon. Who cares are we going to run and see her? ick.

    • magdella says:

I love this comment. So well-stated and full of common sense.

      • meowalert says:

Thanks and sorry for the soap box. Between Snooki and her baby on every cover, some celeb (Kate Hudson?) describing her delivery in graphic detail in an interview, a** hole model Giselle’s lectures on nursing….Kathy’s blog reminding us that she loves her children so, so, SO much just put me over the top.

    • cacao says:

      hear, hear @meowalert!

    • deb says:

I know right, How many in the people in the world are mothers.

  23. Aint Pittypat says:

Ugh. Kathy , Kathy, Kathy. Life for the younger generation is difficult as is , it does not help one iota when you do not prepare them to live independently. How can young adults hope to succeed when you shelter them at a stage when you need to let them go and grow their own wings. This isn’t great parenting, it is selfish.

    • originalcyn1 says:

I don’t know if I was a bad parent or not. While I raised my children I gave it everything I had and put my own wants and needs on hold. I kissed the ground the car left on when they went off to school and was glad not to be privy to their mistakes.

      • Parkview says:

Origcyn, I feel you sister. My oldest is in her sophomore year of college. She commutes but I have given her almost as much freedom as she wouod have had going away. It was tough the first year…not because I couldnt let go…but because I worried about her. Now, all I ask for is a text if she isnt coming home. She has given me no reason to distrust her yet. And I dont feel right treating her the same as her younger sisters. It is a tough line to walk…but Ill tell you I would love it if she could live on campus….too much money out of my pocket. And I look forward to the time I will have with my husband when they are all on their own. Bad mother? I dont think so. I think that is what we are supposed to do. Let them go. Fly away little birdies!

        • shelagh5 says:

You are making me tear up here cyn &park… My babies now have babies, grandchildren five of them, 14 to 3.. I did the best we could, they work, have homes, and never miss a birthday, mine is tomorrow, the big 59.. I hope I taught them good lessons, and if I made a mistake, I hope they will correct it, and be better..

  24. ReAlTaLk says:

I’m hoping Kathy’s silence about the last episode is an indication of how the reunion went! She’s normally such a puppet and does as she’s told!

  25. DDisher says:

Meow, well said. I was just going to post that, but, you worded it better anyway. My thoughts were full of profanity.

  26. Annie says:

    *Yawn* Boring as usual.

  27. Katty I’m all ears, what are you working on?

  28. ViewerLainie says:

I wonder what her big projects are? If I were her I would work day and night on some kind of Richie Remover, because I have no idea how she can stand to look at him. Not only does the sight of that face make me feel ill, I imagine “wake up smell” oozing off of him.

  29. MELISSA IS A FAME WHORE says:

Fish eye Kathy and her crappy husband are SO boring , and jealous of Teresa its eating them up .

  30. duh says:

When I first saw the Wakile kids they reminded me of Eddie Haskill. It was quite obvious that were attempting to create a perfect kid picture esp. after Kathy’s comment was they were “old school.” And then we have heard recently about the Wakile kids being bullying on twitter. Phonies.

  31. Aint Pittypat says:

Duh., Eddie Haskell sums it up.

  32. cns says:

This kind of feels like bully, you know when you don’t fit and others think that you are boring so they just reem you non- stop, and we wonder were the kids get it from.

    • duh says:

Many reasons Wakiles are not liked. Remember, they go on tv and put it out there. The Wakile kiddies are popular high school kids. The son was Pres. of his class. They have bullied per twitter Gia, and said terrible things about Tre. Don’t show that on tv but it is well known. Tre has held back alot but I bet its about to come out

  33. Last time a housewife said that they were working on “Secret Projects”, Jax came out to the world about her son’s autism diagnosis. Secret Projects indeed.

  34. Debbie says:

I thought this week was one of Melissa’s children’s birthday? No?
Anyways, I didn’t see her mentioning anything about a party if it was. I could be wrong.

  35. firstgeneration says:

I keep asking my youngest, “what college did you say you wanted”, “how far is it”, and when can we apply. My child said “mom if I didn’t know any better, I would think you want us all gone”. “OMG yes, you get it”. “See daddy wants a Harley and mommy likes that nice 2 seater, red, convertabile that they show on TV”. We are thinking of selling the house, moving and not giving them the address….Once pass the age of 18 Child Services can’t “pay” us a visit, can they????? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  36. cns says:

I hope i don’t get in trouble for this but one onf the NJ HW has about 80 pictures of wonderful and beautiful children at Bravo TV.

  37. Nikki says:

I think the Wakile’s are nice people, who are hardworking & have raised great kids. Even seeing gorgeous Victoria through her horrible illness. For whatever reason they are boring on the show.
The whole RH just doesn’t jibe. Too bad because I think they are good role models. Richie is funny & seemingly a great business man, they seem to live within their means, Kathy makes great food (looks yummy anyway) they have prevailed from family turmoil with Victoria & Rosie & stayed happily married for over 15 years & so on.
I mean that is all pretty cool really but for some reason it just plays out really boring.
I think regardless of the past Koma Kath should stick with her family, including Tree, stop talking smack & give the Clownzo’s who were very rude to her at first, the heave friggin ho.
& No one is more boring then the Laurita’s. The Wakile’s trump them in spades.
I am gonna start calling them the Snoritas. No game nothing going on YAwwwwWN.
