Last we heard, all was going smoothly with the Coto de Caza group. It seemed as though a line had been drawn in the sand and boundaries were being respected.
Ryan Culberson, Vicki Gunvalson’s son-in-law and Vicki’s daughter Briana’s daughter’s husband, made it clear to Vicki’s romantic partner, Brooks Ayers, that he (Ryan) was not a fan of Crooks earlier this year… when he left this message on SH:
Ryan and Briana are very happily awaiting the arrival of their first child, Vicki’s first grandchild… Ryan tweeted two days ago!
SOOOOOO… what in the world could have ignited this message from Ryan re Crooks!?
Ryan did not abbreviate… just laid it all out there!

Ryan further went on to state via twitter that he is respectful of Vicki; therefore, will keep all under wraps for now.
NOTE: Crooks musta done something! Could Crooks have possibly sold private information re Briana and Ryan… as Briana stated on the RHOC reunion show? Briana was asked about Crooks and replied that he blabbed about her pregnancy!

If he respected his mother-in-law he would not have shared his comment with the public. After all, I think I read here that he actually enjoys her hospitality on a daily basis by living with Vicki.
Brooks may well have hurt Vicki, and that may just be Ryan being protective of Vicki. Ryan is a young man, and Brooks is no good. I think a angry twitter by Ryan no matter what Brooks did, is understandable at this point. Just because they stay with Vicky for now, does not mean he can not be angry and use his twitter. I am pretty sure moving in with your MIL does not include removal of your balls.

Agree 100%. Also, I’m pretty sure, after watching the episode where Vicki arranges for Briana and Ryan to go to the ring designer, that Vicki paid for Briana’s engagement ring. There is no earthly way Ryan could have afforded that ring on his military salary. How gross and disgusting Vicki was in intruding into the ring process, which should always be an intimate thing to be shared by just the engaged couple, NOT the MIL. I think Vicki was appalled that Briana wasn’t marrying someone wealthy and couldn’t stand the fact that Briana would wear a ring with a *gasp* small diamond, instead of one of those huge tacky flashy rings that all the housewives wear.

Ryan doesn’t live daily with Vicki because he’s fighting in the war for our Country. I hope Brianna and Ryan save up their monies so they can rent an apartment just for themselves.
Vicki will never give up control and neither will her skanky BF. He probably handed Vickster 20 Hallmark cards that day. Perhaps BRAVO told Icki if this guy is still on, she will be let go!! Or perhaps since now that Icki will be a grandma, she was asked by BRAVO

If Vicki is not careful she will find Brooks has done damage that can not be repaired. I hope not for all of them but mostly for Troy.

I agree with you Mob Mistress. This is Ryan’s Family, the baby, Brianna and Ryan. He has every right to speak out. It is not his “duty” to start his family off by “Keeping Secrets” to protect Vickie’s boyfriend. I also agree, that he did well without putting all of it out there! Perhaps he was sending a warning message to Crooks! Vickie needs to straighten this out or she could wind up one very lonely and possibly Broke woman!
You have to think of it the way Crooks dose to, he only pays attention to PUBLIC messages, so perhaps this was the only way to get through to him! All Crooks cares about is his public Image….
Whatever else I may think about Vicki she deserves better than sleazy, gold-digging scum like Crooks. I think her family and friends have tried to tell her that but she just shrieks and says she’s happy. Don’t they want her to be happy?
Of course, we don’t know what Ryan is referring to but I hope he doesn’t make things sticky between Vick and Brianna.

Ryan Culberson is an active duty Marine, Staff Sergeant, who is deployed on a third tour. I’m guessing Brianna lives in her mother’s apartment and Ryan does when he is stateside. I’m sure he sends Briana his paycheck, she’s no idiot and this way she can stay home and raise the child. They’re a young married couple with a new baby on the way, one of whom is on active duty – I think that is a far cry from Crooks the POS.

Ryan is not currently deployed. He and a very pregnant Brianna were seen at a Starbucks in Irvine this morning (per another HW website).

Being on active duty with the USMC, Ryan could be called to leave with a 24 hour notice. I’d hardly call a young man serving his country a Brooks in training.

Once a Marine always a Marine, I know, I am married to one…served his country in the Vietnam war… Marines are proud, and i do believe Ryan is a great marine who is still serving his country… Thank you Ryan for your service to our country..
Bryan was previously married and just divorced in 2010. So, how long did they really know each other before marrying? Briana told her mother that she had known him for quite some time. Really? Having already shown their animosity for her mom and her lover, how in the world did they think things were going to go living under her roof? Especially with a newborn? This is just giving Vicki control over their lives. If they are gonna accept her $$ and hospitality they better shut up.

I agree. If Bri and Ry want to be free and independent they should get their own place. Not every Marine family lives with their inlaws. And she doesnt have the baby yet, right? Living with Vicki means respecting her privacy. Dont use the fact that you are living with her against her. But then , I have always thought that Bri should have told her mother her feelings on Brooks and dropped it. Bri is a grown woman…worry about your own problems. IMO likely the reason Bri and Ry live with Vicki is because they could not afford the lifestyle Bri is accustomed to. A Marine and a nurse are certainly wonderful occupations…but Coto? Bri might have accepted her mothers money before she was married…but marriage is a game changer. How could Ry take Vickis money? Well he doesnt….instead they live with her.

Ok. Even if I believe they are not living there for free, dont you think its a bit odd? Maybe its just me….but I could not wait to get out on my own. I left my parents house at 18 and never went back. Im sure some people have good reasons to live with their parents but clearly, Bri and Ry DO NOT like Crooks…so what good would come of them living at the house he most certainly would frequent? Wouldnt you want to get out there and make it on your own? Pick out your couch….wall paint….decide when to have dinner. Start your new life together. Especially given how controlling Vicki has shown herself to be. But really…and I mean this…..It may just be me. I am fiercely independent. But I will say that if they are living in Vickis condo and not WITH HER in her house…as someone here has said….that is a totally different thing. THAT I can understand.
Maybe they are joining the cast and this living “arrangement” works better for that. Oh, no; more casts’ kids a la Manzoids.
Yep — at 18 I moved out of the house, and out of the State. Never considered moving back, no matter how broke I was at times.
It’s too expensive these days.. these young kids would never survive (in a good way anyway). It takes a village to raise our families these days. I wouldn’t think twice if my pregnant daughter needed a place to stay. And sadly… Our military does NOT make enough to survive unless they live in base housing (and Vicki isn’t going to stand for that)
Your right, the military does not pay our people enough. Nurses make good money. Between his pay and hers, I think that they could afford a nice apartment around that area. But maybe with the pregnancy she is not working, or, she might be having a difficult pregnancy. Was’t Bre sick for awhile. I like Bre, but her husband should not be saying anything on any social media at this time. No matter what, Bre loves her Mom. If he is trying to stick up for his wife, bad move. Some of her complaining could be hormonal and he is the one that is going to hear about it. They do kill the messenger in Coto.
I am not judging who lives with who, things are different now. ANd is much as I like this young couple, they seemed to be getting sucked into the reality black hole. Share everything with everyone. They did not know each long before they got married, and they did not wait that long before they got pregnant. Now they are sharing every pist, fart, and burp with the people. Remember when Vicki shared her beau’s new teeth to the party. It was like a breeder showing a buyer a Tennessee Walking Horse mouth. I wonder if she showed his hind quarters. We know about his breeding capabilities since her love tank is full. Which I doubt, she seems mopre BMW and he seems more like Herbie the Love Bug, And as a lover of old VW’s the tanks are small, but the do have a reserve!
They don’t live with Vicki and Crooks – they live in her condo she is not living in.
Ok. Since they dont live WITH her, that is a completely different thing. I remember at the last reunion when Vicki announced that they were living WITH her…and you could almost hear a gasp! I know I gasped! But I guess they are now at least in her condo and she is not there…so thats a big whatever to me. Nothing wrong with that.
I was married before too, just like many people. I have now been married 33 years to my 2nd husband. People are allowed to make mistakes in their lives without being punished for it for the remainder of their lives.
Well it just seems close between divorce, relationship and marriage and perhaps an additional “mistake” moving in with your MIL when you have issues with and been critical of her publicly.
I don’t think the issues are with his MIL. I think it’s fair to say they have issues with Crooks and keep that separate from Vicki so that they can get along.
Well, Ryan has been deployed to Afganistan and Briana moved into Vicki’s main house with her so that Briana wouldn’t be alone during her pregnancy while Ryan is overseas. It sounds like Ryan and Briana were living alone before July when he had to leave again.

How does Ryan seem sketchy? Other than the fact that he chose to move his wife and expected son in with his mother in law because he is to be deployed soon. How that can be taken as sketchy is beyond me.
Calling Ryan “Sketchy?”….Wow…now that is a REAL Stretch! I think that he is doing the best he can, to make sure that Brianna has the security and support that she needs with their new baby, while he is deployed. No matter how screwed up, Vickie’s life is right now, and yes, Vickie and Brianna have a very complicated relationship, but they do love each other! As a military wife, Brianna receives an allotment, on top of that, Ryan earns a paycheck. They both seem like very responsible young people, who pay their own way!
Really? Briana is living in Vicki’s condo – not with Vicki and Crooks… Vicki isn’t even using that property, why wouldn’t she let her daughter and son-in-law, who is on active duty, live there??? Vicki is such a control freak with her kids she probably insisted and of course its the right thing to allow them to live in her condo at this time. Geeze.

Beth, I completely agree. There is absolutely Nothing wrong if a parent wants to help a child, even a grown one! This cannot be compared to a boyfriend, especially Crooksy!
I thought Bri and Ry were living with Vicki. I thought she said that on the last reunion show. Maybe I am wrong. There is a big diff between living WITH her mom and living IN HER MOMS condo.
On the last reunion show Vicki said that Micheal had moved out and that Briana,Ryan and Don were all living under one roof in her home. I’m assuming that Don eventually moved out but who knows. Vicki also said that Crooks doesn’t come to the house.
Briana and Ryan live in a different property – Vicki still lives in the house she and Don shared from season 1 to present – and Crooks does go there. He picked up Vicki for Dulbrow’s party when he gave her that mink coat gag gift. I doubt Crooks ever goes to the condo Briana and Ryan and Don were sharing.

Vicki is fully aware of who/what Brooks is. She’s repeated everything about him and even said she didn’t care. I have no sympathy for her and think if Vicki wants access to that grandbaby, she better start making some serious changes.

WE all know that Vicki is going to be done wrong by her man. Or what passes as a man anyway. Pretty easy to narrow down to money and/or women problems. What I am curious about is to see the spin Vicki puts on it when it happens.

Maybe Vicki being Vicki , she thought she could “fix” Brooks, or at least make him over. If he is the way he seems to be, fixing no really in the cards. But you know how people are. She said she was unhappy in her marriage for a long time. Unhappy people become blinded to what’s in front of them & believe what the need to believe.
I have to admit, I’ve had my doubts about Ryan. He’s taken to the “realty” milieu like a fish to water – especially in confronting Vicki – and I could totally see him being a part of the show next year. As great as it would be to have a constant foil for Ms. Gunvalsen and Brooks next year, I can’t help but wonder if that wasn’t his goal all along, a la Brooks himself. (Contrary to popular belief, being a veteran doesn’t instantly make one a saint, or even a nice person.)
Ryan lost all credibility when his uniform was completely unsat and he looked like a bag of a@@ in his wedding pictures. That having been said, it’s really up to his command as to how much and what is shown on the show – Anything he does has to be cleared with his PAO
