I don’t particularly like PT, but she’s right about Sonja. Coming from someone thats been there.
Uh, Sonja s a grown ass woman who can make her own decisions. Her particular morals tell her her behavior is okay. She hasn’t hurt anyone!
She is hurting herself. So sad to watch her fall from greatness. Imagine what her life was like with the Morgan finances. She has most definitely had a change of fortune and were it not for the Housewife money would most likely be in quite a pickle.
The sad thing is that Mr. Morgan should just give pay to get the house in order, provide a cook and a maid for Sonja so that their daughter is well cared for when she is with her mom. He can afford it.
But that is her choice to make….and she doesn’t see anything wrong with herself….she is what she is and she likes herself…Mr. Morgan was tantalized with Sonja in her younger days but obviously tired of her later…and there is nothing to prove she is a bad mother…just a bit slutty and there are a lot of slutty moms out there that love their children.
Also, I would love – just once – to see this standard applied to single fathers. Some of them sleep around and don’t get 1/10th the amount of flack that single mothers do.
I agree with you totally. When I was younger it used to piss me off so much when guys got together and made nasty remarks about girls they slept with. I mean the guys slept with them! I actually called a few dates whores…LoL… I mean guys can sleep around with anything and yet feel that if a woman does the same thing they are dirty sluts. Come on, I should think that times have changed and men should be held accountable for their behavior as well as what they expect from women. And while we are on the subject (a little off our site) why do men who wear no shirts or wife beaters with their big fat bellies hanging out can dare to make comments about women who walk by who are a little on the heavy side? I mean I cant count the times have seen big,sweaty, butt ugly old farts that stand out in front yard watering the lawn or picking their noses and when a woman walks by who is heavy can make nasty remarks.I mean OMG! Ok, anyways….Sonny is grown woman and if she wants to sleep around its her business. I for one don’t think she should make it a public sport or video tape it like some women(KimIamawhoreKartrashian). My thought is that Aviva has a skewed perception of sexuality because of her perv dad. I’m not saying he has ever touched her, (I hope), but just hearing and seeing that behavior and disgusting talk from your father can really mess up your perceptions of what is acceptable, and male/female roles. She seems to think men like her dad are cute, but women like Sonja are dirty or wrong…

Sonja is right. Who the hell does Aviva think she is? Telling someone they are white trash and are a bad example to their daughter is below is the belt and way beyond anything the other housewives have said to her. Yes, Sonja probably drinks too much but it’s obvious Aviva doesn’t really care about that.
Aviva’s problem is that her trust fund and looks has given her a false sense of superiority and entitlement. I actually liked her at the start of this season but now think she is the most detestable housewife. She thinks she is the centre of the universe and should be catered to and adored by everyone at all times.

PT has some major issues; her fobias, her insecurities, the way she speaks to people; I am still taken back on how she expected some grand welcome from that plane ride. Climb Mt. Everest PT and we’ll throw you a parade. All the ladies, even Luann were tired of her “lets focus on me and my triumph on the plane”. She did ruin the groove the ladies had going on, she won’t let the ladies get a word in edge wise. Sonja, yes sometimes she is full of herself and aside from the Toaster Oven, I think Sonja is harmless and it’s downright mean for PT to judge her or maybe the fact Harry slept with Sonja, maybe Sonja and Luann were not afraid in bed, can you imagine the fobias PT has in the bedroom?

i agree mostly with all of the comments, pt is a snot. sonja does sometimes go a little crazy, but she was on vacation. who cares who sonja is sleeping with as long as she is not dragging men to her home every night, shich she has already made clear in the past she doesn’t… remember her thursday nights? the trouble with pt is she has been caterred to for a very long time and when no one is catering to her she gets frantic… it gets old for shits sake! at the end of the day who the hell really cares what sonja does, she isn’t hurting pt or sleeping with her husband and isn’t driving.
What really blows me away is PT’s double standards. Sonja’s behavior is much less offensive than PT’s decrepit father, yet PT stands and casts judgment on Sonja while laughing at her father’s offenses.

I personally never cared for Sonja, I have always thought from season 1 that she is a delusional, self absorbed, menopausal, tight fisted, drunken slut.
However during this recent episode I saw something different underneath all her antics is a very frightened, very insecure person. Her substance abuse has become a monster and I do not believe for one second that she only dabbles with alcohol. At one point I found myself feeling really sorry for her when she was blow drying herself in the red dress and then stumbled back into a chair with bruises all over her legs. I kept thinking I do hope her ex-husband and friends are not watching this.
I have more empathy for her now I do agree with with Aviva, Sonja married well and is so used to everything that comes with that now it is gone and she cant deal with it. Money seems to be a huge issue for her she seems to be trying to continue in a lifestyle that she can not afford.
Her conversation in the car when she was relaying to Luanne about Aviva coming after her again all she got from that conversation with Aviva was that Aviva was mad because she has Yachts and private Islands “I cant help that” see says. The operative word is HAD those days are over.
Aviva on the other hand needs to take several seats somewhere, she is the most condescending self centered beotch ever to grace our screens.
The person I felt bad for was Carole she really is a nice sweet person she basically had to pacify all of them at one point where in her place I would have told them all to go F*** themselves and spent the entire time with Russ.

Watching the above clip, I cannot help but think that Aviva is not the right person to stage an intervention with Sonja. Though it is very obvious that Sonja is in serious trouble with alcohol, far more than just “having fun.” She is in a downward spriral. But coming from Aviva, will only make Sonja defensive and angry. I agree that Aviva comes across and condescending and judgmental, not as a concerned friend.I do hope that Sonja does get the help that she needs and is able to turn her life around.
I feel like ppl are passing judgement on her for the alcohol use. I’m thinking that the downward spiral may be emotional and I wish I heard more compassion coming from the commenters. I think she is struggling to make ends meet, is doing the best she can at the moment and needs the the support or her friends and not their judgemnt (esp PT). Deep down, I see her as a good soul.
Other than on holiday I can’t recall seeing Sonja over indulge. I think Sonja seems to be working through the emotions brought up by her divorce. I admit she is an aging party girl but I’m not sure she has an alcohol or drug issue.
Couldn’t have said it better. My former doctor had me on such high levels of pain meds etc….that I recognize it probably isn’t just a few drinks. Honestly worried for her. She had often said her biggest fear was becoming homeless and we all know if you say something enough it becomes reality. Seriously worried for her and her daughter should something bad happen. You are right. PT is not the best choice to intervene, she comes off as attacking her out of spite instead of concern. If I were Carole I would have told the producers HELL NO….and leave those ladies at home! haha
I love when Aviva says that the only reason the girls didnt want Reed there was so he wouldnt see them drinking and bringing guys back to the house. Well ok Sonja is single and can bring back whom ever she wants and it no ones business. I doubt Ramona cares who sees her getting drunk, she has a business based on wine. Oh and duh Aviva there are Bravo camera’s there 24/7 so I really dont think it was a huge deal that your husband witnessed anyone’s behaviour when the world gets to see it on Monday nights. They didnt want him there because he seems like a big stick in the mud and if they wanted to go on a couples getaway they would have brought thier husbands or dates.
IMO Aviva is pissed at Sonja and Ramona for being friends with Harry and not supporting her because she says he’s not paying child support. Didn’t she blog about that a few weeks ago. In Avivia’s world that makes them white trash no matter what they do. I love remembering her telling Heather was indefensible because she said Ramona was acting crazy. That seems so tame compared to the way she went after Sonja.

I also feel sorry for sonja, she had it all at one time and now she is depending on child support (which isen’t forever) and her rh paycheck. Mr morgan must of had a tight pre nup. He could at least provide sonja and his daughter a nice home where everything is functioning, sounds like sonja is living in a money pit.

Why is it sooo awful to be out til 4 am, or to have flings with men? How is it sooo horrible to get drunk on vacation and swim nude? And any divorced woman who has been through the ringer is entitled to drink what she wants and sleep with who she wants, it isn’t 1942. I think Aviva is just using this to attack Sonja, she will never get over that Sonja had fun with Harry, probably much more fun than he ever saw with Aviva.

Sonja is many things: she’s selfish, a party animal, a cougar, and a slut (I don’t say that with hate, I say it because, well… it’s true), but she’s definitely NOT hateful.
