i have seen 2 shows and am stunned. they are to much. they are exploiting that child and act like baffoons. i am too stunned to be embarrassed, it actually turns my stomache. it is like they are trying very very hard to come across as real hillbillies and rednecks and missing the mark by going to the trashy end of it.

I have to say this I love Honey Boo Boo, it’s a show without drama and man can you laugh. I stupidly deleted one show last night and I’m so darn mad. Episode 7 and I hope I can get it. I hope this show comes back and it stays around for awhile. Nothing phoney about them at all.

This whole Honey Boo fad has got to stop…please. The more people watch and talk about it(like I am doing…..guilty!!) It’s gonna stick around until someone wises-up and pulls the plug. How can advertisers, with a shred of dignity support a companythat writse, produces and supports this. There is not a word in the dictionary that describes what this show is. The Mom is right up there with Casey Anthony, OctoMom and all the other un-definable people that are riding the money train. I would rather be unemployed than take a check from a company that makes money off this.
Sorry for the serious tone but someone has to start a campaign or somthing to stop this. It’s really not that funny.It’s sick and sad. Say what you want, this mother loves her children, you cannot compare her to Casey Anthony who KILLED HER CHILD or OCTOMOM. They may not be what you like however she does have her own set of family values and I will tell you they are better than some of the high so called class drama queens on some of these Reality Shows. This is my personal opinion and I am sticking to it.

I dont write much here, but i had to chime in on this one regarding the “Honey Boo-Boo” show. I/we here also agree that June truly does Love her girls very much and does put her family first, unlike Kris Jenner who would probably sell one of her own if it meant more fame for her. June and her family have their own way of living just like the rest of us do and I’m sure if cameras were catching many of us there would always be many out there to have a problem with something. I like how June teaches her kids to be respectful of people, like when little Alana (I think thats her name) was at the pageant she was clapping for the other little girls and telling them what a good job they were doing and how pretty they looked, that is something she is taught at home and i’m sure the majority of the stupid things we see them do is for the cameras or they would not have a show. But I’ll tell ya one thing, June would be the type of women that no matter what amount of money or fame she would never ever let the media take advantage of her family, unlike Kris Jenner who just says “how much will ya give me”, that is why in our eyes here in Pa., June is a Hell of a lot more classier then Kris Jenner and all her family rolled into one!!!!

Bill, I agree that this Honey Boo-Boo show is sad. Making obesity, ignorance, and lack of proper hygiene cute and funny is just wrong. But I wouldn’t group these people with the likes of Octomom or the child murderer.
Don’t watch the show but commenting from what I’ve picked up in the recent media craze. The mom chose an outlet avail to her demographic to showcase her child’s remarkable creative expression. Would the judgement be as harsh if they lived near NYC and Honey were singing and dancing on a Broadway stage? What if the mom had a figure like, say HW Kim Z? Why isn’t obesity viewed as possibly another form of addiction or compulsion and treated with more sensitivity or compassion? To me, victims of drug or alcohol addicton are treated better, with less open hostility and disgust than the obese.
It’s always sad to read when people break up; but “behind closed doors” you never know. Hope Petersen gets his (blanks) cut off in the can! Don’t watch Honey Dew don’t care!

As much as we might not like it, alot of people want to be like/live like the Kardasians. They wear beautiful clothes and are admired alot. (whether we agree or not). Everyone is laughing at Honey Boo Boo and June and no one wants to live like them. So, there is a big difference. Yes, they are both being pimped by their moms and maybe June shows more affection but does she really show more than Kris? I dunno. Both are really sad and I don’t watch either.
I think Alana aka HBoo Boo is hilarious! I’m not laughing at her, but with her! She remains (for now) a loving and lovable 6 year old. I think TLC is giving this family opportunities that they wouldn’t normally have and for them (who have little) going out to a BBQ dinner is a big deal. Kris K. Jenner is polar opposite of June financially—-I would to see Kris on a 4 wheeler and shopping at a dumpster. I seriously wish and hope June takes better care of herself.

First husband was attorney to the stars, kids grew up with Hollywood stars, second husband is an Olympic star (not an actual movie star). They were on the outside fringe looking in. I caught part of the Kardashian episode when they were in therapy. During the course of the conversation Kim corrected her bro who was stating all they are and have they can thank not only their mother but their dad as well. Kim’s correction was along the lines of “we work hard too…” said sarcastically somewhat. Work hard doing what? Posting bikini pixs of yourself on Twitter…??? I guess they have a brand out there….their line at Sears isn’t too impressive. I’m not knocking Sears either…

Whether you like Honey Boo Boo or not, I read they are pulling in 3 million viewers. Housewives don’t even pull those numbers. Personally, I love Honey and the whole fam. They aren’t mean, don’t hate on anyone and just seem to have fun living their life. Again, you can’t say that about the Housewives.

just watched some of honey boo boo for the first time…just my opinion. This is a nice family in what most in CA and NY consider the fly over states or worthless southern baptist states. Because they do not fit the, “I am so fit and smarter than all of you and I am educated at Berkeley Harvard or a university, it has been said that “everyone is laughing at them.” I have lived in CA my whole life, and I am thin, I went to college, but I can very much appreciate, that the superiority thinking of everyone on the west and east coast must be exhausting to everyone else in the country. Aside from the beauty pageant thing, this is a home spun American family. If they can sock away some money in case on of them gets sick, or wants to go to school, well all the best. I see the Kardashian mom as downright nasty and ball splitting to Bruce, and very self centered. At this point in the show, I have to enjoy seeing a little bit of home spun america..and no judgement for them. We have very miopic views of how superior we live in CA and NYC – At lease this family finds joy, love, support and hard work in poverty.
I am with the Honey Boo Boo supporters here, although I only watched 15 minutes. I thought the girl, although eccentric, was actually extremely creativea and bright. No, I wasn’t laughing AT her expense, I found her quite enthralling. I admit I only watched 15 minutes, so maybe there is something more disrespectful going on that I missed.
