DonCaro chatted with Celebuzz about her new book, “Let Me Tell YOU Something”…
DaDon says that the book wasn’t her idea… she was prodded by her “people.” They told her it was about time for her to write a book. NOTE: Is there an addendum in their Bravo contract which requires EVERY Housewife to write a book???
DaDon alludes that she was overwhelmed by viewer questions of her and her family… and that she will be answering all of them in her book. NOTE: Ken Dickson must have spent months fielding those questions! When did he have time to write??
DonCaro blames being on the Real Housewives of New Jersey for her feuds with Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub! DonCaro says in “real” life…
”I would’ve chosen to walk away and just stay out of that person’s life but because you do the show you’re around them. You don’t have the option.”
NOTE: Seems as if DonCaro is apologizing and/or blaming everyone else for the contents of her book to be released March 2013!

She see’s all the negative things on amazon including her publisher. Now she’s trying on one hand to back away from the book but on another telling people she will explain everything they want to know in the book. Buy the book and then get dissapointed but don’t worry, she would have already cashed the check.

I thought it might be fun to look back at some season one blogs. You all should try it. Interesting. Funny how some peoPle had chucks number even back then. Most comments are positive but definitely there are people telling her to stop controlling others, mind her own business, bullying. Pretty funny to read. Im going to read all of Jacs in a couple days. I expect alot of contradictions.

Second fun fact: Jax first blog ever she took a swipe at Tre saying if she put on a top hat she would look like Slash(handsome man but women dont want to LOOK like him) I am sure Jax would just call that a joke.
Yes, MP, of course it was a joke! Because Jacqueline said it. I think we all know by now that every swipe they take at Teresa is incredibly funny, completely justifiable, and should be taken as a joke by her. However, every swipe Teresa takes is a mortal sin and she should pay and pay and pay for it, and never be forgiven no matter how many times she apologizes, and she deserves all the hate that comes her way because of it…for two years running.

I read a piece yesterday that they are going to be brutal to Teresa and that her slimey brother is going to make an appearance to take her down. This has bothered me since I read it. Andy is condoning this and I really think it’s so totally unfair.
Barb: Whatever is being spread at this point in time is pure conjecture… and logical or illogical guesswork. Nothing more. Being that the NJ HouseHusbands were a featured part of this season of the RHONJ, of course they will be featured on the reunion. Much is being said with no back up info… for instance, where did MissAndy actually say that he is in favor of this? Just like the report that MissAndy called Tree names, this is another statement with no foundation. (MissAndy did set the record straight re his “name-calling” via twitter… said it was NOT true.) How can we “read between the lines” when according to them we don’t see everything that goes on behind the scenes. So, unless you tell us what happened there is no way we can “read between the lnes”. So far, it’s looking like an anti Teresa bullying campaign from all the ladies.

Right!? I don’t think ANYONE would believe that for a fraction of a second. Because if your “people” were any good, they would have told you before everyone and their grandma was releasing a book, or trying to.
She’s just been peddling this crap around for years and finally found someone she could fool into buying/publishing it.
Yeah at the request of other people. More like the grown ass children that she has living at home…she knows she has to secure their future since they are lazy shiftless bums. God knows when mamma is gone what they will do. I personally won’t even download a free copy of that book. Caroline has proven herself to be a hypocrite and a bully.

I know they’re urged ( contractually obligated? ) to ” bring the drama ” on these shows, but I still believe there’s a way to do that without getting completely dark and evil. I also know these storylines are producer-driven, but the ” ladies ” DO retain the right to decide what comes out of their own pieholes.
I 100% agree with you. I’m so sick of the “I’m on a reality show” excuse. No one said that’s an excuse to turn batshit crazy! “drama” doesn’t always have to equal destruction.
Side note: does anyone else realize that when Bravo does the text episodes – they never show texts when others are making fools of themselves, or they show a text that is irrelevant. So irritating.

She certainly had the option to not research Danielle and then bring the book to the local salon and make sure everyone heard about it! She had the option to let Danielle be friendly with the other housewives, and just watch and make sure it was ok before attacking her and pushing her out. Ya, Danielle was a crazy, but I always wonder how different things could have gone if Caro would have just let her be.
Caroline has yet to face the fact that people dont like her because of HER…not Teresa. Thats why Carol, Jac, Mel, Kathy are so upset about the tabloid articles. They actually think that we dont like them because of things Teresa has said about them. Of course, in reality, it is their OWN actions that have caused the viewer uprising.
Oh NO NO NO! We just haven’t ” read between the lines ” enough to realize what the real problem is! Of course, yes, the problem IS Teresa, but we still don’t know apparently, ALL and the exact nature of the evil things Tree the Dastardly has done!
In all seriousness, as much as I LOATHE Caroline, I really was expecting to see something more substantive at this point with regard to evil Tree deeds. I still would have been on Teresa’s side, most likely, because I think their REACTION has been over-the-top, but I thought for sure Teresa really did do one or two unambiguously bad things. I thought that much vitriol couldn’t possibly be a result of JUST jealousy. Apparently, it is. So far, I haven’t seen ONE thing Teresa has done that would garner that much hate.
I agree Guilty, I have been waiting as well thinking Teresa must have done something outrageous to warrant all this verbal abuse from the other HW’s, what I have seen so far does not condone the hateful actions of normal mature adults. It’s not hard to confuse people in groups. If they sat & talked to Teresa & thought about how long they have known her (especially Kathy & Jax) they might see through that whole she’s the enemy silliness. I think they just find it easy to take the side of the bully. I don’t think she’s brave enough to try to bully Tre into a fight but she tries so hard to make herself important to Tre & the others. Really just sad , but another form of trying to bully.
You are right about confusing people in a group. People are always looking for validation. Kind of like the super popular kid at school who is completely hated the next year. A couple people get the ball rolling then there is no stopping it. Speaking of kathy …. Supposedly she is so upset about all these things T did to her on the show. But very first episode she appeared on she was already aggressive towards T. Immediately. That is why chuck did not like kathy. Not because of T. She saw the real kathy right off the bat. And so did we. Kathy, you cant rewrite history.

Agree. The way she hunted down that book on Danielle and acted like she was protecting her fambily by exposing Danielle for her past. She is a mean, angry, spiteful, jealous POS that cannot take responsibilities for her actions. She did not have to talk about the book with Danielle, if she didn’t like her, just be cordial and stop judging everyone. If she doesn’t care for Tre than just learn to tolerate her when you’re filming. Most importantly – try and stay clear of the drama, considering one of her favorite things to say is “I have no time for drama.” Well in my eyes, it looks like Chucky has all the time in the world b/c that is all she does is stir the $hit.
Like I’ve said many, many times – Danielle was 14 flavors of crazy. Many viewers were all so distracted with a person having a secret book written about them, her many crazy identities, past marriages, abuse stories and jail stints – that although a lot of us initially saw that Caro and the crew didn’t handle the situation in the best of ways, it was all shaded in comparison to the rest of the drama. I think Danielle was so pissed that she tried to get through to Dina and shame her in the first season, didn’t work, and then on her way out she tried to hit T – but she unknowingly did herself a huge favor by in turn exposing the fraud and giving the show another situation to view Caros manipulation. And this time we were all watching more closely because it involved another cast member and atthis time, the show had built such a fan base, she had people behind her, unlike Danielle because we were still familiarizing ourselves with the entire cast at that point.
Great post. Danielle reeked of desperation and a desire to be accepted. The cray cray washed over her by the end of Season 2. Looking back , hindsight is 20-20. Danielle was in very desperate financial straits. Not excusing her but we all understand now that Don Caro , Jax and Tre were more than likely fighting to remain relevant and get that Bravo paycheck. Originally Jax and Danielle were far more polished but to Tre’s credit she has mastered the learning curve. It’s very sad that the signature of this show is bullying. IMO the episodes with family and especially the children were far more entertaining and delivered a powerful message about family. All lost and gone so the Don’s adult children could launch Bravo sponsored businesses and Meho could shimmy her way to a singing career when she wasn’t occupied fending off Joey and Tarzan. I won’t even address the gas station attendant and the hairdressing hawking pastries and

Mispronounces fambly is my favorite. Then you go to Teresas cookbooks and the comments are mostly good except people who stupidly, obviously make their comments about the show, not the cookbook. Ok. So you hate Teresa….am I supposed to believe that you actually bought her book???? Or made one of her recipes? Really?

Yep. That’s the funny thing – Chuckie hated Tre and her hate (as well as group’s hate) directed at Tre boomeranged. People supported Tre (and I think bought her books) because of the unfairness and hate that DonCaro and her thugs directed against Tre. Now, Tre is on top because of DonCaro’s hate. And DonCaro’s hate directed towards Gia really showed the monster’s malice. I am sorry to say this all the time, but Jax was so stoopid to be used by DonCaro.
Yes Love. Jax is always being used by Don. No doubt it was Don and Co’s big bright idea to use the autism mother story for BLK and choose to release that lil tidbit just days before Jax’ People article. So even if its true, it makes Jax look like an opportunistic freak. That is Jax payback from Don for Kim G, Danielle, pretending to be asleep, smacking her in the face, any and all forms of disobedience Jax has dared to display over the years…. Jax will pay for these misdeeds for years to come if Don has anything to do with it.

I’m sure the comments are getting to her, but she is merely playing the part that Bravo told her to play, just as Teresa is. If there was ever any doubt that these shows are not just scripted but HIGHLY scripted Danielle outed them after she was fired when she said, “I had a part to play and I did my job.”

Caroline has lost all credibility. She has a huge ego and believes all her pronouncements are welcomed like manna from heaven. She isn’t very bright and fails to recognize that the ugly pattern of attacking her castmates didn’t endear her to the viewers. We were supposed to cheer her on when she called Teresa a sociopath, a liar, garbage and Gia a spoiled brat. Caroline may be following a script but it is impossible to fake the angry bloodlust shining from those bulging blue eyes. She made a fatal mistake pizzing on a friend when that friend was down. If Carowhine role was just to take the same old potshots at Teresa then she should surely know her role couldn’t last. Caro isn’t RHONJ’s darling. She isn’t and never was the viewer’s darling,. Hello she isn’t even Al’s darling! Why even attempt to peddle a book? Pretty clear ,as in Carwhine’s words to Tre, “Im done with you!” Yes Caroline and we are done with you.

Imagine her mouth off camera. I laugh at these tuff broads. Her attemts to appear refined are laughable. Tre grew up in a home where Italian was the first language, English was the second language. Supposedly DonCaro’s home had English as the first language. DonCaro speaks like she has marbles in her mouth. She really should run a diner at a truckk stop – she would be in her element.
But to be fair In the first 2 season Fans thought she walked on water, she was always winning hte favorites on the polls, People wanted to be her or have her as their mom
The tides have turned but I think her big head is due to the praise she got for being all that in the first 2 seasons. I never liked her she always screamed I AM A BULLY AND CONTROL FREAK to me. What she(they) did to Danielle was plain wrong.
The picture of her that just came over my facebook page leaves nothing to the imagination, she is crazy out of her mind and she can’t blame that sick face on anyone not even Teresa. She needs mental help as fast.

I know Lisa, Danielle may have been an old ho, but she was just trying to befriend everyone at the start. There’s no law saying if you were once a bad girl, you can’t start over and try to make friends..
I agree. As outrageous as her past was, it was a long time ago and she did face the justice system for her actions. She appears to have done a far better job of raising her children than Caroline – although the oldest daughter always looked uncomfortable on the camera.
If Danielle hadn’t pulled that shit with Dina (calling her ex), I would have been a lot more outpoken in her defense. Once she interfered at that level, my sympathy dried up. I would be very interested to see her come back on the show. Both Mel and Jac would soil themselves. As far as Danielle’s relationship with T, I think they both behaved badly toward each other. Danielle shouldn’t have communicated with Mel – casuing T’s financial problems to become an issue on the show, and T shouldn’t have hated on D out of “loyalty” to her friends. She also named her puttanesca (sp?) sauce after D – a bit of a low blow IMO. It’s a wash.
Danielle was piled on by all of them. First, DonCaro and Dina. Then, Tre and Jax and Ashlee. Looking back, it was despicable behavior. They did try to destroy her.
And if you look at DonCaro’s past – Tiny Manzo killed for cheating the mob and his body left in his car trunk. And the car was parked in the Brownstone’s parking lot. Danielle stated that DonCaro’s own father served time (but we do not know what – but I think we all would like to know!!). And 3 of DonCaro’s brothers are involved in serious fraud – allegations that they looted Signature Apparel for their own use (fancy cars, vacations, etc. to the collective tune of almost $8 million – yep Chris and Jax Laurita – the good mother – are there). And Tre and Joe had some bankruptcy fraud problems and Juicy Joe has driver license fraud. The Wakiles were in trouble with Exxon over the gas stations and fraud was part of those suits.
Yeah, Danielle was targeted for her past activities from her early 20s. She was not engaged in those activities when she started the show. She got kicked around. And I think that started some bad behavior on her part.
I felt the same exact way!! I never liked her she always thought who she was and it was pretty pathetic to watch her in action. to be honest I liked Danielle.She was a little over the top with the men in her life but, hey she was a divorced women she could sleep with whoever she wanted. I think C did everything in her power to make filming with Danielle miserable. She attacked her on everything and half the sh*t was rumors she heard from over 20 years ago. Should Ashlee be treated that way in 20+ years for her assult charge? These people act as if they sh*t out flowers.
I honestly liked Danielle, as well. Yes, she had her share of issues because of past abuse, bad decisions on her part, and just generally having an “i’m a victim all the time” type of personality” but I could understand her to some extent. And I completely understood why she seemed so paranoid about the Manzo’s, because as we’ve all seen, when they gang up on a target, it is not pretty, and for someone to constantly feel under attack by them would be a horrible situation to have to experience. Danielle had her issues, and then they pathologized her even more by constantly calling her crazy to dismiss her. Caroline lost me in season one because of how she treated Danielle.
I have to agree with you because I looked forward to the show every week to see what Danielle was up to. BRAVO got rid of the wrong person. I do wish they would bring her back and Dina would come back. I love her and I watch her show every Sat. It’s gonna tape for me tonight. Get rid of the Manzoids and Lauritaoids and bring them back.
As much as Danielle was Batsyte nuts I understood her and why she was the way she was. I know what its like to be so desperate for love and friendship that you do nutty crazy things Those women and Bravo preyed on her I lost respect for both of them.
Caroline lost me in S1 because she looked down her nose at Danielle’s criminal past, knowing full well that her comfy lifestyle was all due to her father in law’s criminal past. He was murdered in an alleged mob style hit. “Tiny Manzo” was the owner of the Brownstone that was then handed down to his two sons. She is living off of “Blood Money” yet holds herself in such high regard. She should realize that she isn’t the only person to “investigate” people. Just google “Tiny Manzo” I hate hipocrites.

I remember at the reunion Danielle pulled out her hair extensions from a tote bag and gave them to Andy. She said that they were clued to her scalp and Ashlee pulled them out. Yeah, the pain must have been excrutiating.
Ashlee did assault Danielle. Tre’s and Jax’s that day toward Danielle was despicable. Tre started the confrontration.
If Chris Laurita gave Danielle a settlement, Danielle would have dropped the charges.
Dark side. And DonCaro’s bullying of Danielle to drop the charges – well that’s how she acts.
I didnt understand ’till I had my own extensions..they are painful when getting replaced .imagine getting them pulled……What a 2 yr old behavior to do….shame on ashli
I remember when I was in middleschool, and hearing about other students who had gotten in fights who had their hair extensions pulled out. That was like one of the things to do in a fight. So ridiculous.
I don’t know if I’d say I thought she walked on water however, I did buy her whole down home , “we are thick as thieves” , motherly wisdom because that’s the sort of Italian family in which I grew up and, that’s the way things were with the matriarch (as archaic as it may seem)
Sadly, I think THAT was a role and what we’ve been seeing is the true Caroline who is, as you said, a bully and a control freak on top of being a miserable witch who raised 3 worthless kids

I completely understand…never talking ill of someone else’s child. When I was a teenager (sadly, MANY years ago), my mother and her sister (my closest aunt) spoke every day, several times a day. A cousin (a son of their brother) had a minor shirmish, and his name appeared in the local police log. My mother praised her sister for never mentioning the “trouble” their nephew had been in. And, I remember saying, “But, Mom. You never mentioned it to Auntie either.” And my mother was horrified, saying, “Of course I would never mention it. We all have children. Who knows what sort of problems might knock on our front door. I would NEVER mention some other parents’ problems.” And, I (as a teenager), never had more respect for my mother than I did at that point. (Well, maybe I had more respect at other times…I just came to realize (with maturity), that I always respected her….because SHE respected others.

IMO Don Caro strikes me as someone with very little patience and anger issues. She goes from zero to 60 really quickly. I find it disturbing that she calls her daughter an azzhole and puts her down. Her attitude with Gia was out of control. Her attitude with Ashley was very punitive and neither girls are Chuck’s responsibility to counsel or punish. The old saying pick your battles is very true when raising kids.
This is why she is a danger to others. I understand that some people are just more harsh than others in the way they express themselves, but as you said Caroline is a very punitive person who prides herself on and gets enjoyment from her domineering ways, and in my opinion, that is a sign of a sadistic person. I would never want my child around someone who displayed those traits, and I’d be quick to get in someone’s face who ever even thought about trying to “discipline” my child like that. No way. So sad for Teresa to have to see her child being handled by a sadistic individual.

Something happened to Caroline on the way to the HW party. She turned very angry, jealous and supercritical of her daughter. So she tried to fix that with her, Lauren and AL getting lapband surgery, getting a new makeover, getting her children jobs w/Bravo and attacking full-force with the aid of superjealous Kathy and Mego the one super-successful RHONJ, Tre. She is now one ugly human being. And can these middle aged women please quit wearing clothes too tight, and too young for them! Yuk!

I think rumors about the Brownstone being mortgaged to hilt may be some of the problem. Most short term mortgages have a major balloon payment due in 5 or 10 years. That date may be approaching. And if the finances are not in order, re-financing may not be an option.
DonCaro’s family: Albie flunked out of law school. Will not be a lawyer. Critterfur brags about his lack of ambition. Stripper Car Wash – never happened. Probably zoning problems. Also, if Big Al financed the stripper car wash there could be a backlash. Women would not book their events at the Brownstone. Lauren – cannot hold a job. So, DonCaro bought a store. The video showed the mess. Prediction – closed (unless it is used to wash dirty money). Blk Water – prediction – out of business in 2 years. Chris Laurita – broke and possible jail (he should get it – he stole from the company and the company could not pay its bills).
I think that is why she is bitter. The family is in bad shape and Teresa Giudice is the star of RHONY. And Tre is a success – 3 books, Fabellin, Milania hair car and personal appearances all over the place. Plus Tre looks great (guess what – she works at it!!!!)

I was Leary of Carolyn from the beginning, her attitude did not impress me, she just seemed too harsh for someone supposedly being “upper class”, then it seemed everyone had jumped on the Carolyn bandwagon applauding her straight forward behaviour, I held off further judgement thinking I must be overlooking that positive trait everone else must be seeing, however I now know to always trust my first impression. Has anyone else felt this way? I do respect honest people but also believe people need to filter their words and speak respectfully if they want to be taken seriously and respected in return.
I never cared much for Carowhine, though I didn’t at first despise her as I now do. IMO, Chuckie never belonged on this show. She couldn’t compete with the other women in terms of looks, figure, style, or personality. So, she cast herself (or was cast by others) in the role of the Grand Dame of RHONJ, a sort of wise house mother to the younger women. She went completely overboard in this role as experienced elder and became (or perhaps always was) an obnoxious, overbearing, snobby, judgmental know-it-all. Also, she completely lacks any real insight or wisdom, nor does she command any respect as she is without any real achievements or accomplishments.

I might add that my children are independent and live on their own without my help. I guess I just can not figure out the overwhelming emotion that they exhibited during the speeches, is that the first time they ever opened up like that?

She is at the age where it is time to start doing stuff for yourself, start growing as a woman. All mothers love their kids, yet many moms cut the apron strings and teach their kids to go have lives. First season i thought chuck was down to earth. Unglamorous. Not a bad thing. Jac i thought was sweet and kind. Good BFF material. Teresa I rhought was a hot blooded glamorous mall rat. Jill zarin’s book was a bust. It was on Amazon’s remainder sale. Cut in price. I believe it was a loss for the publisher. The Countless’ book wasn’t very successful. I don’t know how successful Silex’s book was – Big City, etc. And Sonja with a J cannot get her book together. Maybe DonCaro waived an advance.

Her ex (lexis father) didn’t want her on the show and they were arguing amounts of airtime etc. It was causing drama and stress in her life and all for what? So she could get dragged into fights with Danielle and play into Caros storyline to make her the quees matriarch?? No thanks! She’s better off/happier with her own tv show that actually focuses on her work and passions instead of drama. She won’t be back.
Danielle would be interesting though. Just because I’m sure I’m not the only one wounding how her girls are turning out. And I’m sure she’s learned her lesson about being so sue happy (one big reason bravo was anxious to get rid of her), after receiving all those law bills she can’t pay.
I feel like NJ has built up way too big of a storyline to scrap everyone and start over, plus they don’t have people willing to leave like other cities, so they need to spice it up some way. I think bravo is trying to keep him included because they realized after having him on, he attracts a fan base and he was supposed to have the show with the Manzo boys this season but after the fight overseas (and now the backlash from the audience), Bravo was forced to shelf it for now but has been trying to air them more, hence the marathon they hosted.

I dont get what chuck thinks is so daggone extraordinary about her 20 something kids liking her. Arent they supposed to like their parents at that age? Now if they were 15 id say wow. Whats your secret??? The only thing extraordinary here is their neediness and hers. Nobody wants to hear her advice on how to create that dynamic.
Well , they’re HERS you see. I think chuckcarowhine needs everyone to think she’s perfect so of course by proxy her kids MUST be. & you’re right I would want my kids to wait past their early twenties to have kids. But by that age you should be fully grown. Having kids too young may have been what tied Carowhine to Al Sr. & that may be the reason she’s so unhappy.

I guess chuck was telling the truth when she said she would usually just walk away from a person of conflict. I get that. It seems like she has done that in her own family. She has walked away from several siblings. It may seem noble to her to say”walk away” but it is not always the mature thing to do. Having a disagreement, particularly within your own family, should not mean you have to walk away. Seems kind of like xing someone out of your life. Do these disagreements really rise to that level? My sister and I are opposites and we know our limits with each other. We dont talk much but I think we know the small relationship keeps us friendly. It works for both of us that way. I doubt she is on another blog crying about our loose relationship. Sometimes you have to do that. It just seems like Chuck is unwilling to work with anyone. And wow has this been going on in her family for a long time! Way to drag it out! Jax says Teresa should consider herself at fault because all the women have problems with her. By that standard, she should feel the same way about Chuck and her siblings. How can they all be wrong? Of course this is faulty logic…sometimes I wish Jax would quit making this so easy for us.
