Just in case you were wondering, there will be no new episode of the dreaded Real Housewives of New Jersey this Sunday. Bravo is delaying the torture of their viewers for another week!
The following is the synopsis of the September 9 episode:
“The ladies form new alliances after their return from the west coast.
The Gorgas left Napa early to show their support of Teresa…
…but now Melissa hopes to calm the wake that Teresa left behind by asking Caroline to forgive her cantankerous sister-in-law.
While Kathy goes to college for a day with her daughter Victoria… BOOOORING!!!

Caroline gets her crack at being an oracle on Sirius Radio.

The HUGE reason to be watching on September 9?? MeGo will be takin’ another stab at singing… and dancin’! This time she has a video!! Her new single debuts in conjunction with the RHONJ September 9 episode. Can’t wait.
NOTE: This season of the RHONJ has been disgustingly devoid of watchability. Despite that fact, the last episode garnered huge ratings for Bravo… according to the FutonCritic:
“Bravo Media’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” continued to take Napa Valley by storm as Sunday night’s episode earned its highest rated episode of the season to date with 3.1 million total viewers showing week-over-week gains according to Nielsen.”

Holly, you got me to thinking. If I remember correctly Dina said a few times in earlier episodes that she didn’t want to do things that would harm her husbands buisness. I wonder if that among other things played into her leaving the show. I started trying to remember when the last time they even showed the Brownstone. Anyone else remember? I don’t think they even showed it at all this season.
They showed Al and Caroline’s crappy love-nest upstairs in The Brownstone. You’d think after all of these years, they’d be able to afford some nice furnishings for it, especially since Albert has recently claimed it as his ‘residence’.

It looked so dirty in that apartment.. I wouldn’t even sit on that nasty couch…. Love nest my arse, more like, infested cockroach heaven… I was scratching just looking at that couch, al feeding her a strawberry, lol please…
Tommy did not want the brownstone shown anymore after the incident with Danielle. He felt people would go to the brownstone to crash parties trying to get on camera. Dina left the show because tommy made her. Christopher stopped working at the brownstone because he couldn’t be filmed there, so quit in order to be available for more filming.
All of these sound like very plausible reasons…and likely. But isnt the Posche Fashion Show filmed at the Frownstone? I would totally not blame Tommy for wanting his business off the show. Having said that, I am sure the show has brought in tons of business. Many people would love to meet and be around these people, even the ones who dont personally like Chuckie. But I wonder, just like Cat Face, would these people even be there? Lauren opened up a business then promptly went away with her fambly for two weeks. I cant see her hanging out in Cat Face after all the setting up and the excitement is gone. Kinda like when your kid first gets a dog andshe is all about the dog. Before you know it, shes not interested anymore. Anyway, funny how I have to turn off spellcheck to write my comments here (fambly, Frownstone). Hee hee.
I bet Bravo is holding the episode b/c it’s Labor Day weekend and their ratings won’t be as high as last week. Erg Damn you Bravo!

Bravo is a very clever company….they know what they are doing when it comes to keeping everyone waiting and building suspense. It’s all in the past, however, because Tre has not been speaking with any of the rest of them for well over nine months now, with Dina as the exception. One has to wonder if any of this is scripted? How in the world can people act so ‘stoopidl’y while knowing they are miked and the footage may appear on television? Defies my sense of logic….except the pay checks must be going up and up! Hard to believe people will make such fools of themselves for the money. (I found it particuarly interesting to read that Tommy Manzo owns half of the Brownstone….I cannot remember this ever being mentioned on the show.)
All: Tommy Manzo’s info was briefly mentioned on season one. Yes, Bravo is milking the RHONJ for every ounce of ratings! The Housewives shows being scripted has been discussed many times on SH. Of course, they’re scripted! The shows even have writing credits rolling at the end of each episode! TFC!! SH
Those high ratings are why Bravo keeps pushing Tre’s buttons. Bravo knows people like Tre so they keep pushing the drama with her. Ever since she flipped that table Bravo and Mandy have been pushing her buttons, hoping she’ll freak out again. Every move by Bravo is a calculated attempt to infuriate Tre. They want to film her losing her temper again. Sadly, flipping that table is also what got her ALL the attention and made her the star of the show. That’s the reason she got the contracts for the cookbooks, teeth whiting, Bellinis etc. Now with those ratings Tre’s is stuck with that sort of story line and she can’t afford to leave the show because of their financial troubles.
Too bad Tre can’t leave the show like Dina did. Dina made the right move. Dina has her own show and doesn’t have to deal with Bravo at all.

Anyone notice that Caroline’s hair was a lot longer when she did her “personal Camera time” on last Sunday’s episode. You know where a cast member is sitting by themselves talking to the camera.
It appears that Bravo came back to Caroline long after the season ended to do the recap.
And with all that time to sit back and reflect she still acted like a mean spoiled child.
You mean when she commented that Teresa used to bad-mouth MeGo to her and had said MeGo was a stripper? I will have to go back and watch again. If that is true, then it makes perfect sense that Bravo would have her tape a revisionist history segment like that in order to advance the whole Teresa-outed-MeGo-as-a-stripper storyline

Maybe the delay in the next episode is because bravo is saving some bombshell to be revealed before we see the Posche fashion show. And they want time to sway our opinions. Don just announced on twitter that she is looking for an apt in HOBOKEN and eventually selling her house. She will move in with hubby and LAUREN!!i have been laughing my ass off for 20 minutes. It’s Paterson,NJ only 1 t,and it’s fairly close. Hoboken is a fun place to live,other side of the river is NYC. Fairly pricey place to live in NJ,but good location.

Not real far,but a pain in the butt commute as far as traffic (the other side of the river is Manhattan). I lived in NJ,NY and PA commuting long distances for work is the norm here. Working in NYC means a bigger paycheck. I commuted into NYC for my previous job from the Pocconos. Very rough. Up at 4am and sit in traffic for 2/3 hours. My home that I bought was big and lovely (and cheap) but the commuting was killing me and I couldn’t enjoy the house.
I made comment about this also that the Manzo’s my be filing for bankruptcy. There was a blind item over a month ago about one of the RHONJ was going to file for bankruptcy. I see that Danielle Staub filed, but I know this isn’t who they where talking about. I thought it may be Melissa and Joe Gorga, with them putting their house up for sale along with his beach property. But after looking at reviews on the Brownstone over the years It could be the Manzos.
Remember when Teresa made that dig at Caroline at the reunion about people wondering how the Brownstone made money. If you read the reviews the Brownstone is a horrible place, horrible service and horrible food. If they have a reputation for being horrible, it won’t be long that they stop getting people that will visit them. I just have that feeling that the money is running out for both the Manzo’s and the Lauritas and you have them trying to keep what’s left of their fortunes.
Why would LARGE MARGE decided to leave a house that makes her seem like in charge to live in a retirement apt.. I mean who will come over and be impressed. This is all about them having money issues pure and simple.

From what ive read, gorgas owe Fabulous Fred $49,500 from their charity Christmas party. Member that? Joe gave Fred 500 bucks then told him after the party that he would give him free work on bis house for the rest of the 50K. Fred was not happy, Joe wouldnt answer his calls, n wanted to go to press but Kim D …Posche…stopped him because Bravo wanted her to bring it out at her (?) party. So in other words, bravo wanted to out the gorgas…not have fred do it. So they asked kim d to bring it up to Mel at the party and I guess she flipped out….from what I have read, fred is still waiting…..wonder how they will make this Teresas fault? Maybe we WILL see it because bravo wanted to have the honors for themselves. That would make my year.

Thanks Park view. I have only been reading here a couple of weeks. Of course would occasionally run across the odd tidbit here and there regarding HW. SH is a treasure trove of info. I didn’t harbor many illusions yet the level of hypocrisy is mind boggling.
Exactly! I’m still quite new to SH, but I wasn’t reading long before I had to start commenting. And I’m not jaded by reality show bs often, but the amount of hardcore facts and backstory that viewers know and isn’t shown is ridiculous!! I’m still baffled daily.

Tre – are you going to get your own show? Or is Bravo not meeting your demands. If NeNe can get $750,000, you should get $750,000. Ramona and LuAnn are getting $500,000 (what a waste).

Don Caro is stupid – fight with Tre to the death and you will be dead. Don Caro and her borring Manzoids cannot carry a show. Her 20 somethings (including Greggy The Honorary Manzo) belong in an Adult Day Care Center.

I actually think Mel and Jac understand this. They started to realize that they needed to soften up a bit or they would look like complete hipocrites for returning next year. Mel knows all her skeletons are about to fall out….and she is willing to keep coming back.

Caro needs money, or they wouldn’t be peddling the sauce and selling their home. So at some point, they either gotta suck it up and make nice with Tre, or they are going to save face and portray the attitude that this is their show, and they are staying just to spite her. But who wants to watch another season like this one? I think plan A was to make us all hate her and push her off, I hope they have a plan B.

Can you imagine how much credit/airtime etc J would get for outing how Caro really is?? I mean she doesn’t even have to be evil about it like MeGo was, but it’s so obvious how she sees J as a puppet and J is just sick of going along with it. But part of me thinks she lost her fight. She punched Caro for her behavior once before, but now that they are all going through money issues, I don’t see it happening.
Yep, Jax isn’t allowed to do what she wants, especially now that the Manzos are really entangled in the Laurita’s finances, with Blk etc. She can’t dare go against Caro at all, because she has no money of her own, and I think that’s most of the reason for her drunken cray cray behavior. Kinda sad. It is a really good lesson for women that are too dependent on men…

Caroline Manzo does not lie. Obviously the world’s dumbest genius Teresa Giudice either hacked into Caroline’s computer and posted fake information or Teresa sold her soul to the devil in exchange for the ability to use mind control to take over Caroline’s brain and forced her to lie. Tre is also a world class ventriliquist and Caroline is her very own uglier version of Howdy Doody.
Hmm that doesn’t seem to make sense why would Caroline offer up Teresa’s name for celebrity apprentice if on trip to napa had just ended and Caroline wiped her hands of Teresa calling her a disgrace. Caroline isn’t quick and articulate, does not possess a sense of humor or wit, not glamorous or even stylish, not a successful business woman so my guess is she had zilch to bring to the table. But I guess my point is this…….EVERYONE, including T fans, says T is inarticulate, not quick thinking, unable to express herself, how will she be able to argue with them at the reunion? Chuck is exactly the same and what do we hear? Crickets. Im going to say that I am hopeful for the reunion….We must remember that 90% of this taping season T DID NOT KNOW she was being slanderer, hated, mean girled upon. So 90% of the season, while we spat at our tv sets, she had nothing to defend. Now she does, and shes fighting back. I think she may do us proud.
Great thought provoking post Parkview. IMO Don Caro fights to survive and Teresa fights to succeed. Teresa is intelligent, very intelligent while the Don does not strike me as all that bright. Smart people know when to ask for help and are aware of their strengths and weaknesses. They are “teachable” and willing to take risks . Don Caro is demonstrable stubborn and unwilling to see any vision but her own. Just an observation but why throw money at a business like catface without conducting marketing studies or focus groups to help choose a name or find the best location. Do either lapband or Chuckie even know the demographic they want to reach?
Caro claims to read all the time 24/7 but she does not strike me as a well read person. You are correct her vocabulary is very narrow . Caro doesn’t have to have a formal education to be articulate or even smart. I watched an SH clip of Caro with Glamazon Dina and Tre and I actually felt a moment of pity for Chuckie. She was and still is out of her comfort zone and that explains but does not excuse her nasty attitude.
Teresa can most definitely win the day at the reunion if she stays positive, argues the facts, and comes out swinging. She needs to answer every accusation with a question for the accuser. If she chooses to reveal juicy tidbits about the others she needs to be calm, concise and matter of fact. Better yet would be a third party reveal like Danielle.
She needs to be gracious to Jax and just not go there. I believe she will indeed do us proud simply because she knows who’s playing dirty .

Can you JUST IMAGINE this book of hers? Read between the lines…planting seeds…I see who you are….love your children…they will love you back…..Geez. The whole Cat face thing is understandable when you consider that these people think their “celebrity” will bring in the dough. Unfortunately, most people who would bother would only drop in, take a photo, buy an eyeliner, and go eat at Applebees. They will not be making long term relationships with their customers. And much like a hair salon, this type of business only survives on faithful clientelle. And even if you were a fan, how far would you drive to meet them? Would any of them even BE THERE for sure? Too many variables, too many short term results. About T at the reunion…..I hope she is arming herself, reading the advice of bloggers and her fans. Clearly, she has something BIG on chuck regarding her family, I just hope she spits it out.
I do think Teresa has something big on Caroline. Caroline wants desperately to shove her off the show and there seems to be more to it than simply wanting RHONJ all to herself.
You never know , she may have info on her relationship with Al Sr. or something about their business or finances. If ChuckietheDon is trying to be perfect that puts a hole in her picture & she can’t have that so she tries to discredit the person w/the info. But it could just be that she’s at a really unhappy point in her life. If she’s wrapped her life & mind totally around being mommy , going to games, planning parties etc while ignoring her own interests or down time , she may feel really lost. I suspect with her kids grown she doesn’t know who she is anymore. If she ever did. True it’s a little sad to see a grown person without their own rudders so to speak . But it’s her own fault for trying to hide behind others all these years. Now she’s trying to distract other & I’m guessing herself by pointing fingers at Tre.
I think Chuck is totally lost and trying to figure out what the heck to do with her time since her baby boys are leaving her nest. And moving to Hobokken right next to them is Not the answer. That is why we should be raising independent children…so we dont feel like 100% of our lives revolve around them. Children should leave..and if they dont, something has gone wrong. Hving said that, I feel there is a piece of the puzzle missing here. I thnk theree is some info out there that Teresa and Dina know that would be damaging to Chucks character. maybe its Al and some woman, maybe its money related, maybe its about another family member all together. I dont think its simply just because T is talking to Dina and Chuck isnt. Remember until recently, Teresa thought Chuck was her friend. If this were a simple spat between sisters, dont you think T would have tried to get them back together? It doesnt seem like T thinks this is an easy fix. Something bigger than that. And it has been a long time that C and D havent been speaking. Of all the mysteries surrounding RHNJ, this is the one I would like solved.

If I would hazard a guess it’s about the family estrangements between Don Caro and the siblings. It probably goes deeper than we know. Could also be about the truth of Caroline’s relationship with Big Al.
I have been saying that too about the Chuck/Dina rift. Maybe Dina tried to tell Chuck about FatAls girl. I have seen this before in real life. Friend/sister finds out husband is cheating. Wife is in denial…gets angry at sister for even bringing it up. Then the two are not speaking. Wife is angry and wont speak to sister for fear of being forced to hear more info about husband. Enter Teresa, thinking Chuck was her friend tried to warn her too. Same results…not speaking. Accusations towards sister and friend….”just because your husbands cheat…dont be jealous of my good husband”….”YOU ALL started this rumor about my husband cheating” but really Im sure the whole thing started with employees of the Frownstone. Especially if she is an employee…which I have heard she is. There is nothing new here. I had a boyfriend as a teenager who my best friend despised. She constantly harped on me about him until our friendship fell apart. I loved them both (as much as you do in high school) and didnt want to face the truth about him. She was right of course but it ruined our friendship.
It’s human nature. Kill the messenger. Danielle dropped many a hint about Big Al and Don Chuckie. IMO Caro arranged that whole set up when Tre went after Danielle. Carowhine was complicit by her absence. She used Teresa to do her dirty work and fed Danielle and Teresa both to the sharks. Two birds one stone plan. Caro didn’t calculate the attention it would garner Teresa and the shift in focus to give the Guidice’s equal camera time. Teresa made the mistake of outshining her co-stars and attaining more success.
IMO Chuckie knows about Big Al’s sidepiece but chooses to click ignore as long as she can have the family manse, the kids clasped tightly to her ample bosom. Wonder if the a separation from Al is in the offing ? caro had to know that Tre was eventually going to fight fire with fire.

Have we ever heard Caro mention downsizing before? She seemed to pride herself on having that big house where she entertained all her fambly at Christmas….with the exception of her sperm donor Albert Sr and the many siblings who don’t speak to her . I really shouldn’t be so critical though. Long distance relationships are tough and she probably can’t stand being away from her boyfriend Albie.

I read that someplace before that Caroline was considering selling her home because it was just to big now that the boys were moved out and the likelihood of Lauren moving out. I think that news came out last year or possibly the beginning of this year.

So I live in jersey now. Franklin Lakes is roughly 25 miles away from Hoboken. If you google map it will say that it takes 45 minutes. The reality is that 45 minutes is unrealistic for the majority of the day. During rush hour (which here is 6-10a and 4-8p) the traffic to and from these two towns will drive someone to drink. If they do get a place in Hoboken then at least they’ll have an excuse as to why they abandoned the cafe/makeup place that makes no sense. Al will live upstairs at the Brownstone because that commute SUCKS.
Hoboken is a trendy town yes but it has people of all ages in it. Personally I’d think that Caro would move to Jersey City rather then Hoboken. Or maybe she can move closer to Danielle in North Bergen. LOL.
