August 13, 2012 5:35 pm UPDATE August 15, 2012 5:40 pm
SH sent the following via email to the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) at CampingWorld/GoodSamEnterprises regarding their involvement with the recent Real Housewives of New Jersey story line… the trip to Napa in CampingWorld RVs:
- Would appreciate your time in answering a few questions re Camping World and its association with Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey”…
- We have researched your sites/twitter and have found nothing on either the “Camping World” or “Good Sam Club” site to tie Camping World in with this reality show.
- Is there any particular reason why Camping World and/or Good Sam Club is not promoting your association with the RHONJ?
- Would Camping World, if approached for involvement on the RHONJ, sign up again?
- Has Camping World heard any feedback from customers of Camping World re their involvement on the RHONJ?
- If you have promoted Camping World’s involvement with the RHONJ, would you kindly reply with a link to the item?
After sending a second request, received the following reply from CampingWorld’s CMO:
The show simply rented RV’s from us. We did not have any promotional arrangements with them.
Thank you.
NOTE: These very short sentences from CampingWorld speak very loudly. One can only conclude that CampingWorld wanted no part of what was aired on the RHONJ! Otherwise, why ignore an opportunity to promote their “brand”… especially when there are other companies which specialize in RV rentals; such as 84 RV Rental (specializing in renting RVs to NJ, PA and NY), and CruiseAmerica RV rental, just to mention two other RV rental companies, which would probably have promoted their RV rental company name if shown on a national TV show!
Interestingly, “GoodSam”… CampingWorld’s parent company… sent out press releases re GoodSam being showcased on Celebrity Apprentice on their site back in April 2012!
In searching both CampingWorld and GoodSam sites for “RealHousewives” “Housewives” or “Real Housewives of New Jersey”… there are no results for any “official” information or press releases. However, there is a search result on the “GoodSam” site which leads to an enlightening discussion forum!
ALSO… there are NO mentions of CampingWorld/GoodSam on the RHONJ credits on the episodes involving the CampingWorld RVs! CW/GS obviously wanted their names scrubbed… or “scratched”… whichever word you wish to use!!
One would THINK that Camping World would be using their exposure on the Real Housewives of New Jersey as an opportunity to further promote their RVs, their campsites and their companies.
However, in researching Camping World, a subsidiary of the Good Sam Club, there is no mention of their involvement in the Real Housewives of New Jersey!
Researching Good Sam Club’s “Official News Posts“… and going back two months… there is not a single word about the RHONJ.
In reviewing their twitter account, Camping World has announced appearing on “Secret Millionaire” on August 5… there has been NO announcement for their appearing on the RHONJ! EVER!
NOTE: SH has contacted Camping World and is awaiting a response. When and IF Camping World responds, will update this post. It seems, however, that Camping World just may want to totally scratch their involvement in the Bravo franchise!

Caroline Manzo how yah like that LOL!!!Looks like no exposure for BLK water!!!
This was done a year ago…..
Who would want to chance renting an RV at Camping World that had previously been used by the Gorga’s? Can you imagine what that unit looked like under a black light? Black lights don’t just expose urine…..Ew!
Bahahaha
Noticed that one of the $100,000 RV’s on the front right bumper had a nice dent in it.Wonder if one of the idiot men did that horsing around. You know the RV’s were trashed after that circus got off.The cast did nothing but make Camping World/Sam’s look bad.The freebies for publicity was not worth the tradeoff/bartering.All the stuff close to $5,000 that the cast were allowed to purchase were all thrown away after the trip.Such a waste on nobodies.Easy to go on “Business” trips when Bravo is footing the bill or has some exchange for the accommodations.
How do you know all the stuff was thrown away? Maybe they donated the BBQ’s and other non skin to skin products to charity? I did notice JoeFatty wearing a Camping World jacket. Question still remains about the non display of BLK. I have never seen it here in CA. Is it still on the market since everything we are viewing is a year old. I can’t believe how fat JoeGor is. Yes he has big arms but the bell…Yowsah. He needs a Richard Simmons, Sweating to the Oldies workout.
I’m in Southern CA and have seen it at BevMo.
Thanks JQ. That’s a pretty big chain store here. I’m in SF Bay Area.
I’m pretty sure Jacqueline either tweeted or wrote in her one blog that they ( all) donated all the stuff after the camping trip.
Everything was donated.
I bet anything there equipment was screwed up so much and such a mess that they decided to keep away from this crazy group and not use them.
Thats what classy people do when their credit card is not being charged for damages. They all are a hot mess and act like they don’t get out often. Disgusting!
Notice the scene when Chuckie is talking to Jaxo about Tre in the RV.The coffee pot behind Chuckie has a clear bottle of water with no label. Then as they pan out there is another clear bottle of water with a blue label down further on the countertop.Guess they prefer clear water over black sludge too.
I don’t have a degree in marketing but even I know that when you launch a product or have a product/brand and are given an opportunity to get national TV exposure you get your product placed everywhere. You take full advantage of it. Those RV’s should have had banners on them with BLK. Instead of wearing hooker bikini’s, you wear a t-shirt,baseball hat or jacket with your product’s name on it. You give free sample’s to campers next to you. So there must be a reason Bravo would not let them promote BLK, Manzo’s sauce or even MeGo’s music. She of all people should have t–shirts with her face/name on it. Most singers do! I think all the other HW show’s have allowed their wives to mention their products. How many cookbooks are out there and do we really need anymore? Geez.
None of this makes any sense unless Bravo said no. I hope we get some kind of answer to this, otherwise the NJ dingbat’s are all more stupid than they appeart. As an example right now on RHWNY Google Eyes is wearing her True Faith t-shirt at a yoga session. I will give it to Google eyes, she knows how to market her products. NJ dingbats take a lesson from the NY dingbat. Also, Bethany did not get where she is by not whoring all her products on all the shows. How sick did we get of the Skinny Girl branding ??? However, it worked. Plus she had a good product
I don’t see where this was a BLK PR vacation, if that was so then Teresa should have had her Fabulini which by the way I like her cook books, Melissa’s vino, songs etc. this was a Real Housewifes of NJ Vacation and that should have been on the RV’s nothing else. I watch the Real Housewifes of NJ not the BLK Sludge of NJ. Those shirts shouldn’t have been worn either. I will not say I’m sorry if anyone thinks I am wrong. Enough is enough with these people. The show is shot to hell. It has no bearing on NJ at all and all they are doing is giving my State a bad name by acting like a bunch of a$$wipes.
ITA! I feel the same way about RHOOC and RHOBH – they are a laughingstock in CA.
I live in Sonoma county on the beautiful Russian River 10 miles from the Casini Campground in the redwoods. I spent Sunday afternoon on the beach with my grandkids and friends. It was a beautiful day and thank goodness there wasn’t anyone screaming and yelling on the river that day.
I understand I live in this back water town but I have not seen BLK and I’m not looking for it.
Good points, Bill. I don’t think they even have BLK at the Clubhouse. No one drinks it and it’s not even parked on a shelf. You can spot Skinny Girl and even Fabulini… but no BLK. Must taste how it looks.
why would teresa bring a cookbook on a camping trip? however, people do bring water. they should have brought a couple of cartons of blk.water with them. you would have seen them drinking it, using it to cook, and offering some to other campers. they missed a golden opportunity here.
Perhaps Teresa was smart enough to bring her cookbooks to sell….who knows….BRAVO isn’t going to show that, only is the sludge was sold….
I figured Camping World was another publicity hungry company when I saw them featured in RHONJ. They had already been featured in Celebrity Apprentice so I figured they wanted more publicity. Sounds like they want nothing to do with the Housewives…if you can call them that.
I’d like to know in what kind of condition the vehicles were returned to CW
TO: Had a hard enough time getting the person at CW’s email… then getting them to reply was another hassle. Could email the CW person; however, doubt if they would respond! IMO, the less they hear about the RHONJ the better! TFC!!! SH
CW basically stiff armed the entire situation! Hahahahaha…can’t say that’s a bad idea. Huge heels, motor coach steps and camping don’t mix so well!
Why did they keep saying trip to NAPA? From what I saw they were in Sonoma County. Camping on the Russian River, then Lancaster Estates on Chalk Hill Rd, still Sonoma County. I see Levendi is in Napa, but there were there for all of an hr.
When in doubt, remember this: Napa makes AUTO PARTS, Sonoma makes WINE!
