This episode had me cracking up! I couldn’t believe Vito shared his bear tattoo story with everyone. “It must have gone back in his cave?” What the…? LOL!
Melissa had me laughing the most. She wasn’t joking around. You can see the panic and fear all over her face. Clearly she wasn’t going to drown in two feet of water, but I think the thought of those biting bugs at the bottom of the river sent her over the edge.
It was funny to watch though. I hope she can look back now and laugh about it too.
I loved when Rich came back from getting groceries with a ball and a bat and Kathy told him to go outside to play in traffic like a good little boy.
I also couldn’t believe that Joey Gorga asked the neighbor for fruit in his underwear and introduced Tarzan to everyone. He is so funny! NOTE: WOW! BubbaJax REALLY thinks these producers ideas are funny??? So Freshman year … of HIGH SCHOOL!
OK, so surfing isn’t my thing. I have tried surfing before, but I really didn’t want to try to squeeze into a wetsuit at that moment in time and sharks freak me out. Don’t they come into shallow water too? I hear a lot of that lately. Yikes! No thank you. I had fun watching. Everybody finally made it up on the board that day. I was proud. I really loved to hear that compliment my husband gave me. (Bonus points for him.) I’m glad that he is happy with my body. I wish I could be, but I love to pick myself apart. I’m a confident insecure person, if that makes sense. I’m OK not being perfect and I can laugh at my faults. Maybe I just need a new mirror. NOTE: ”Confident/insecure”??? Just admit it, BubbaJax… “passive/aggressive” is a more fitting description!
Just for the record, when I spoke about Teresa being competitive to a fault at times, I was not just talking about her surfing. Not really important anymore. Clearly there was more going on between me and Teresa than the “articles” and the other stuff you are seeing. It was discussed with Teresa during our “talk.” I also felt a whole lot of unnecessary pressure from Teresa at a time when I just couldn’t take anymore. I wasn’t in a position to take on other people’s problems, and I just needed peace around me.
Like I told Teresa, had I gone after Melissa and Kathy for Teresa (the way she would have liked me to), they would have hated me by that point. And after Teresa decided to make up with them, where would that have left me besides having more added stress that I didn’t need? I know Teresa said that she got over it, but I honestly didn’t believe she did. I was hearing too many things. I honestly just wanted everyone to be open, honest, and real with each other. I wanted everyone to resolve their issues once and for all. My head couldn’t take anymore fighting around me! I was getting too worn out! I felt like I was just going to shut down.
That’s one of the reasons that I got so upset with her about the Danielle thing. Teresa was finally so close to peace with her family (on camera) and I KNEW her public communication with that devil (Danielle) would start some trouble all over again. I thought she should have handled that issue in private. Even if she was faking for the camera, it still made things more pleasant for everyone. I was hoping eventually that the good times would outweigh the bad between them, and it would turn sincere. Fake it till you make it.
I didn’t want to disappoint my friend, but I wanted to feel free to be who I was, and I wanted her to respect me for that. I like to find out who people are and judge them through my own experiences with them, especially people who I see so often. She knew this about me, but she still let me know how much I disappointed her in different ways. It didn’t sit well with me, but I just didn’t feel right doing the things she wanted me to. If I got involved with her fight against her family, it would have been so much more difficult and awkward for them to resolve things. It would only add more fuel to the fire.
I didn’t want to be involved with that. At the same time, it hurt me to see Teresa hurting. I wanted things to get better for her. It’s also natural for me, when I see someone hurting, to offer my help. I’m a great listener and communicator, so I did feel a little shut out by Teresa in other areas, but I think I finally understand the way Teresa thinks now. I started to understand her boundaries more, and I needed to respect them. I also wanted her to respect where I was coming from. NOTE: A great “listener/communicator”… also “confident/insecure”!
Teresa and I both know that I never asked her about her financial situation, nor did I care to know any details of it. I was a good listener when she needed me, and I felt like I gave great advice. The times Teresa opened up to me about her grievances, they were mostly about her family. It became a little repetitive and petty after a while, so it became harder to hear at times, but I still wanted to be there for her. I was mostly concerned about the many personal, public articles that kept coming out in national magazines that she never acknowledged around us. All I knew was that Teresa told me she was putting out articles (as you saw at Jamie’s wedding), but I never knew what parts of them were true or not anymore.
Some of them said scary things. Things that you would talk to your best friend about. Things I worried for her about. I figured that if Teresa took the time to share with the tabloids certain things about her life, friends, and family, which allowed many strangers to read these things and left people to speculate on what was real or not, that I just wanted the same (if not more respect) as her best friend — to hear the truths straight from the source. I just wanted to know what was real or fake, if she needed my help at all, or to know if she was really hurting or not. The thought of her suffering in silence concerned me. I wanted her to talk to me about the things she was opening up to the tabloids about. Those seemed like much more serious issues to worry about than if Melissa was copying her feather skirt or not.

I needed to lean on Teresa as a friend at that time as well, and I felt like I wasn’t being heard or that she wasn’t concerned with what I was dealing with. When Teresa said to my face that she didn’t ask me questions because she didn’t care, that cut me very deep. I, unlike her, wanted my friends to ask questions. It feels good when someone else cares and wants to help. I think we have a different perspective on the definition of true friendship. It doesn’t make either of us wrong, just different. As much as I was trying to help Teresa, I felt like my efforts were misinterpreted and she was upset and disappointed with me more and more. It was frustrating. I wanted her to know that I had her best interest in mind, and when I didn’t agree with her on things, it didn’t mean that I didn’t love her. I just felt that there were more important things in life to worry about or focus on.
Anyway, I was really glad that we finally sat and talked and that she initiated the conversation. I apologized if I had hurt her, and I meant it. For those of you that were on my back for not apologizing, now you can see that I clearly did. It really wasn’t my intention to hurt her in the first place. I felt bad for losing my temper, because I felt hurt at Melissa’s launch party. I already knew that she most likely wouldn’t be accepting blame or apologizing for anything, because I know that is just how she is. I was OK with that, because I felt like maybe she finally understood me more and maybe it gave her more awareness of others feelings. I was just happy to be more at peace with her after our talk, because I was feeling unsettled at that point. I was definitely happy that she seemed to be getting along with her family and that we talked. Things seemed to be better between us, but somehow I knew things would still be different, although I was still hoping for the best.
Lauren was going through a transitional phase during this trip. She was becoming more separated from her brothers than she was used to be. It had always been the three of them doing everything together. They lived together, went to school together, and shared most of the same friends. When siblings start growing more independent and venturing out on their own, relationships start to shift a little. This is life’s natural course. They will all have their own families to focus on one day as well. (This is all too familiar with Teresa and Joey Gorga.) It doesn’t mean they love each other any less. I think it was harder for Lauren than most, because her brothers were moving on together. They lived together, worked together, and were making new friends together, so Lauren was feeling a little left out. I understand what she was feeling.
That could not have been easy. She felt left out of the good times they were having together without her and didn’t feel included. She felt left out of their new private jokes. She just wanted to be kept in the loop and stay as close as they always were. I think it all came to a head on the trip, and that’s why she was so sensitive about it. I actually found it endearing that she loves them so much that she got so upset about it. I don’t think the boys intentionally left her out, because I know they love their sister very much. They were just looking at things from a different perspective. They were not thinking as deeply about it as Lauren was, because the boys were still continuing their lives together and just going with the flow of things. It’s all good, they are still very close to this day.
For the record, Caroline did not call Lauren any names to her face, she was expressing her frustration with Lauren in the moment. What parent with a grown child has not gone through that moment? Trust me, Caroline loves all her kids equally, and she is extremely close with ALL of them. Her kids love her back just as much. I love how all of her kids want to come around and still enjoy time with their mom. What mother wouldn’t want that? People that comment on their closeness negatively just seem a little jealous to me, because I think it’s a positive thing.

I didn’t take what Teresa said about not caring to be an insult. She doesn’t care to ask Jacqueline personal questions about her finances because it isn’t her business. What Jacqueline says, Teresa will believe, so she doesn’t care to keep hounding her friend for the truth.
That is exactly how I took it! She meant she wouldn’t question her friend, just support her. She didn’t care what the reasons were or the details and didn’t need to know them, it wouldn’t change her friendship to Jacqueline. Jacqueline knows that is what she meant, or she would have jumped all over that comment in the RV, and say you see you don’t care about me, you just admitted it. This is just all bs! You are fake and I want a real friendship, but then she says fake it until you make it. The point is she ended the friendship, Teresa reached out to her, if not Jacqueline wouldn’t have, she hadn’t yet, and then she says she apologized…well considering she had done plenty, and had yet to tell Teresa what she had done to her. This woman really does have issues. Teresa felt she couldn’t win with her brother and sister-in-law, but how can you win with all these lies and contradictions by Jacqueline. You can’t so you walk away, and when Teresa said that’s what they should do…Jac covers her face and starts crying. Jac has a lot of nerve to say if Teresa says she is wearing black, you can be sure she is wearing white. Just look at what she condones and thinks is funny, and/or okay from all the others in her blog, versus how she criticizes Teresa for her coming to her and talking about their issues, which Jac started, and Teresa’s responses. Teresa doesn’t mean anything she says, she doesn’t feel what she feels, she is always fake, etc. etc. Bottom line, Teresa supports her friends without having to know all their business, did tell Jac a lot of her own business, but that wasn’t enough because it wasn’t what was in the tabloids. It is hard to believe that these people are in their late 30′s and 40′s and 50′s, and they think that their behavior is funny or appropriate, and that the viewers are buying everything that they say even though we see something different on camera. Pathetic and desperate.
That is exactly how I understood that comment as well. I took it as, I don’t care if you tell me or not I will always be your friend. You don’t have to spill your guts to me if you don’t want to it has no impact on our friendship. It seems to me that Jax takes the things that Teresa says far more seriously than Teresa does. Teresa will say something in passing and Jax will obsess on it, disect it and read meaning in to the most mundane things. She will let it brew into some crazy theory meanwhile Teresa has forgotten she even said it. Case in point, when Teresa found out Kathy and MeGo were coming on the show she was mad. She asked her best friend to back her. Jax didn’t. Teresa was irritated and said so but then she let it go. When they were in the RV Jax said “you asked me to go after Kathy and Melissa” and Teresa said “yeah, and you didn’t but I got over it”. …..HUH? that sounded rational and low key not vile venom and devious plotting. Jax has worked it up in her mind that was such a dispicable thing that Teresa asked but Teresa vented and she got over it no biggie, but Jax never forgot it and dwelled on this whole time and turned it into all this dram!!!
I will say this, my best friend that I have had for 20+ years…if that happened to her she would never have to ask me to back her, I would do it in a second and I would do it for her and not worry about whether or not her family members would like me or not when they made up!
Agreed. I’ve had a best friend for 20 years. I would NEVER ask her to “account to me” in her hardest times. I would stand by her and if she wanted something from me that I couldn’t do? (Like in Jax’s mind “going after Melissa”) I would just not go there and STILL could be there for my friend. Funny. The two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

I couldn’t get thru that long rant. Someone should keep track of how many times in all of the witches blogs that the name “THERESA” comes up. The are obsessed with her! Until seasons 3 and 4, I could take or leave Theresa but their plot to take her down blew up in their painted on faces. The more they bash her, the bigger her fan base becomes and the more products she sells. She had no right to question T about such personal subjects while the cameras were rolling. How would Wacko handle it if T started grilling her right back about the Laurita bankruptcy, possible jail time for the owners of the clothing company that they stole money for, her crazy daughter asslee, etc.? She should worry about her own problems and stop butting into T’s. I guess that she had no choice but to ambush her with Don caro because they have no other storylines. If she wants real camera time, they should do an intervention and get her into rehab.

when mothers call their children names behind their back to other people, i think that’s worse. it’s the definition of adding insult to injury. (and supplement it with humiliation as well). chucky calling her daughter an a$$hole to her daughter’s own boyfriend is just beyond horrible. not to mention saying it to the entire nation.

re-reading my comment i have to add that if a mother chooses to call her child mean names behind the child’s back, she probably has already called the child those names to her face! children and parents parry, but for me betraying your child is what makes it so much worse.

Thats like going to see a bad movie and never expressing how bad you think it was. So….how is this any different?.I’m still holding out for a really good episode.Until then I’m going to keep watching and expressing how I feel good or bad.

I began to hate Jac’s actions last year, at the reunion. That was the biggest F.U. to the viewers, without whom she would be waiting tables at the Brownstone to put food on her table. Same goes for Caro, hate her actions, calling her daughter fat, an asshole, and more so, and then denying it, or making light of it as it is no big deal. Also sending a big F.U. to the viewers by not addressing anything that transpired on the show week after week. Some folks knit for a hobby, I do the housewives. haha

I went there too, and there were way too many comments to ever be able to gauge how they were running…but, I have to admit, there were LOTS of anti-Teresa comments. Apparently, Jaq and Tre made up and all was well ……until the Posche show and then all the present anger and venom started w/ Jaq the night of the Posche show – and the reunion was the next day. I guess the fashion show sequence will be soon, but has anyone ever given concrete evidence why they are POSITIVE Teresa had a part in trying to set up Melissa – Jaq was all upset about “someone” being set up by Teresa. If Teresa made up with Jaq and Melissa on the RV trip, why in the world would she do something so stupid at the fashion show??? The new revelations from the producers twitter relationships with the other castmembers are intersting but still no evidence as to who set up what at the Posche show. I hate viewing the show a year later and knowing what is going on now.

Look she during last season she had her husband kick out her daughter on national tv, never one time did she go visit her child once she decided to move to California, she had no idea if where she was living was safe, she never went to help her set up. Now we find out ( from her) she had issues with other things going on in her life,. during this time also.. OK, so… what does she do? She freakin involves herself in more bs with Teresa life, gets caught up in all the drama again cause she wants to she can’t help herself!,.. WTF? Seriously The woman is nuts!!
I have a major problem with Jacs for buckling to pressure and kicking Ashlee to the curb. I’m sorry but sometimes you have to put on your big girl panties and deal. Stop wining away the afternoon, stop engaging in vendettas against others and face what’s on your plate.

She didn’t really admit to calling Lauren an asshole. What she said on her blog was that, “when they are behaving like an ass, we address it”. First of all, she said “asshole” not “ass” and secondly, saying someone is behaving like something (asshole) is different than saying they ARE something.
Well I cant even remember if she called her one or said she was acting like one now to tell ya the truth. Don’t matter no ways cause I’m gonna bust on her regardless. The fact still remains that the boys could gut Lauren like a fish right there in front of their momma and she would claim she didnt see it. And only address the whining Lauren does about it….Frankly I think Lauren was being a bit of an immature asshole. But her brothers were being equally immature assholes too. I don’t know if there was any dialogue missing from that exchange, but that is the way Bravo aired it. “She’s an asshole”. Not, “ACTING like an asshole”, but “IS an asshole”. I don’t know how Carowhine can lamely attempt to justify what she did by sanitizing it on her blog by saying she called her an “ass” and that she will call her kids out when they behave badly. I think Lauren was throwing a hissy fit and should have been called out for it, but in an appropriate, constructive, and non-demeaning way.

But, what gets me is that Carowhine calls Lauren those names, asshole and crazy, in one breath and then in her TTC she goes on about how bad Lauren’s emotional state was at that time. If she thinks her daughter is in the middle of some kind of emotional meltdown, why would she pile on with the name calling? Either Lauren is being a asshole and needs to be called out for it or she has some problems and needs help.

Let me see if I’m understanding this….Jax and Chris were upset because T tweeted Danielle back. (once or twice) Danielle is an arch enemy of the Lauritas because of the asslee thing so that was a betrayal to them. Then the Whorgas come on and T asked Jax not to get buddy buddy with them as this is her family and they commited the ultimate betrayal by whoring their way onto the show to “Take Theresa Down”. Jax turns around and not only did she not back her best friend (I would never befriend my bff’s enemy) but she and the manzos are so far up the Whorgas assesand made it their mission to side with the Whorgas yet T should have absolutely NO FEELINGS about that?
I read it once and it gave me a headache, so I walked away. Now I’m going to re-read to see if I can make any sense out of it. PS — I can’t wait for this season to be over!

Misszippity, you are coming close. The reason Jac is sooooo upset because T allegedly “set up” Melissa at the PFS is because JAC AND MEL ARE NOW BEST FRIENDS! So of course Jac is going to take Mel’s side on this issue. And of course Mel is going to blame T no matter what. Why else would Jac be so upset? If she were really “fine ” and ” friends again” with T….she wouldnt automatically believe Mel. Everything makes sense when you look at WHO is Jacs new BFF.
