August 3, 2012 2:10 pm PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY TOURISM THANKS INDUSTRY PARTNERS ref Real Housewives of Atlanta
Real Housewives of Atlanta… We gonna miss you, Sheree!!!
NOTE: WHY would the production company of the Real Housewives of Atlanta request so much from Anguilla??? It is obvious from the Secretary of Tourism that Anguilla could not support the RHOA visit!
ANOTHER vow renewal ceremony with Cynthia and Peter! AND… Anguilla went “above and beyond” to make Nene happy!
PUBLIC NOTICES of Anguilla News:
“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I am here today to thank all of those who worked so hard with me to make the production of the Real Housewives of Atlanta filming in Anguilla a reality. I must especially thank them because when this opportunity was presented to me while at the June CTO New York by the Britto agency; I had to wrestle with the fact that Anguilla did not have the budget or the financial wherewithal to undertake such as production.
I therefore reached out to home to get some advice on the fiscal situation and was advised that neither the Anguilla Tourist Board nor the Ministry of Finance and Tourism had the financial resources to take this important project on. I reverted to the Britto agency and they indicated that this production could still be a possibility if we could get the industry partners to do some sponsoring in kind. After some initial feelers, I was pleased with the response.
Grasping the vision and idea, and first on board, were Mr. Sherwin Richardson of the spectacular Modena Villa in the Cove, and Ms. Bonnie Bloom of world renowned ANI Villas in Limestone Bay.
I must place on record my gratitude especially to Ms. Bloom who not only understood the vision, but also offered up both ANI Villas to house the entire cast of the Real Housewives.
Not only did she house them but did everything necessary for them to have a most enjoyable stay, so much so that the producers exclaimed , There was no drama in the house.
There are many others to be thanked, and they include Mr. Jeff David and his extraordinary team at Viceroy Anguilla.
They offered no fewer than ninety (90) room nights, an offer which, as anyone could expect, was at a tremendous cost to the resort; Mr. Bernard Sarmes, Mr. Malcolm Webster, Ms. Patricia Bryan and the great staff at the legendary Cap Juluca Resort, for going above and beyond, by creating the atmosphere, and constructing an ocean platform where lunch for the cast was served and filmed.
In doing so, these individuals exceeded the expectations of all; Mr. & Ms. Ian Edwards of Sunset Homes, Mr. & Ms. Eudoxie Wallace of Gorgeous Scilly Cay, Mr. Bankie Banx and the Dune Cat, Miss Tahirah Banks, Mr. David Lloyd and Ms. Vida Lloyd-Richardson of Davidas for the scrumptious dinner they provided for the cast. That night captured the essence of the show. I would also like to thank Mr. Timi Webster of On da Rocks, Mr. Tyrone ‘Latest’ Brooks and the Exodus Band for providing a memorial experience, Lanvol ‘Pantha’ Hughes, Pantha Vibes Intl and the PVI fan club, Ms. Valencia Prentice, Mr. Girdon Connor and the Klassique Dance academy for creating what will undoubtedly leave a lasting memory with both the cast and the crew.
Ms. Karla Hughes, the Management and Staff of Dolce Vita Restaurant, Ms. Simone Connor and Mr. Sil Connor of Sandy Island who hosted the renewal vows of Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey, and Rev Erica Carty for officiating at the ceremony.
I would also like to thank Miss Roxanne ‘Roxxy’ Webster and Ms. Rachel Haskins of ‘Hello Gorgeous’ for making the special effort to accommodate Ms. Leakes and going above and beyond to make her happy.
So many local partners came on board to make this a reality and I cannot thank them enough. Mr. Dennis Mussington and his crew that did the transportation, Mr. Rosmund Davis and crew of Calypso Charters for doing all the sea shuttles complimentary, the Customs and Immigration Department, Permanent Secretary, Mr Foster Rogers, for his advice and support in this venture, the Ministers of Government - in particular the Hon. Chief Minister and the Hon. Jerome Roberts for their unwavering support, Mr. Alejandro Raygoza and Dolphin Discovery, Ms. Gilda Gumbs Samuel of the AHTA and Ms. Sherille Hughes, past President of the AHTA, Mr. Keithly Lake of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce for his support, and lastly but most importantly, Ms. Marvet Britto and the BRAVO network.
It is especially rewarding when such a major production as this can be done without the tax payers having to pay for it. Undoubtedly, the entire country will benefit from the exposure and my gratitude goes out to all of the above for making this a reality. It goes to show that the age old quote is alive and well: Where there is a will, there is a way!
Our mandate is in keeping with the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan and that is, to ensure that Anguilla becomes more visible and by so doing, increase the number of visitors to our shores. We believe that through continued web marketing and major television productions such as these, we are achieving the same. Already, Anguilla is reaping the rewards of this production with all of the outtakes and US websites and blogs that are mentioning the filming and the destination, and we can all look forward to the upcoming RHOA season and the 2013 Tourist season with great expectations.
Thank you and may God Bless Anguilla”

Cynthia renewed her vows to that freak? Pul-eeze. They only got married a hot minute ago; it didn’t help Seal and Heidi when they renewed their vows every year.
stella: Comin’ right from the Anguilla Sec’y of Tourism’s mouth!! TFC!! SH
Lets all keep this in mind when we watch Peter throw a diva fit over sumpin not being up to his specifications for his grand renewal. Industry partners are footing the bill. Beggars can’t be choosers Peter.
Hopefully they won’t invite Mal this time so Peter won’t have anything to complain about and we can finally have some peace. I’m sick of hearing about their damn wedding!
But if they don’t invite her I ‘spect we will get a whole three episodes out of “why aint Mal invited?” Her momma will have to step in break off a piece of mouthy Peter just in time for the finale.
Maybe they are excited about their marriage or just feel like they have something to prove because everyone thought that they would be divorced by now. Not sure, but I don’t understand why they keep having re-do’s of their wedding. Didn’t they just have a huge party because Peter did not like the way the wedding went. Now, a vowel renewal.
The vow renewals are getting old! They should be called vow regurgitation.
I like that…..LOL
Cynthia and Peter been married for two years and there’s a vow renewal already?
Didn’t they already renew the vows?
No. They married in June 2010 and and had their own year anniversary party last season.
Oh OK Thank you I remembered something like that wasn’t sure what it was, I recall Cynthia’s sister crying over something Peter said / did ?
That was at the anniversary party when Mal got upset that Peter didn’t include her in his speech.
Peter said “friends, family, and Mallory” in his speech. He may have felt wronged after the whole marriage certificate fiasco, but he’s giving it as good as he’s getting it against Mallory.
These shows are running out of plot lines. I will barf if I have to see another “vow renewal”.
What is it with these housewives and vow renewals? Very Odd!
It’s like every sit-com or soap opera. There has to be a wedding or a baby. As Kim Zolciak just HAD a wedding, only Cynthia is actually married to have the renewal!
They have vow renewals because there is very little going on in their lives. No more interesting than the average person, imo. In fact, I think it would be more interesting to see the average person live their daily life than the faux-rich.
As a last ditch effort to save my own marriage we went to a marriage encounter weekend that ended with us renewing our vows. The divorce came 6 months later! My parents were married 52 years without a renewal in sight…just saying

Ok sorry but this is some straight BS. Bravo needed to foot the bill for this, granted it’s advertising for the country but it’s rediculous that people had to donate services. Bravo makes a mint on advertising revenues, you mean to tell me they couldn’t foot the bill. PSSH..these heffas are supposedly well heeled women of means and they need everything for free. Talk about BS.
I agree Bizzy. Makes ya wonder how they financed the trip to Africa… ya know the one that highlighted how poor the villagers were and how grateful the orphans were. Makes that box a tampons look like all the more slap in the face.
Yep these franchises make millions in advertising revenues, yet they want to go with their hand out and then want the best of the best. Disgusting users and posers.
TOTALLY AGREE!!! These poor people bending over backwards, kissing pretentious ass. I only hope they do get the exposure they are expecting. Lord knows they deserve it. Bravo has become gross with the schnuring!
I cannot standmost the housewives from Atlanta..i dont mind the one who is an actually real recording artist..and the lawyer. The rest are just loud mouth idiot new money trash.
Bravo should have to foot the bill for the countries putting up with all these b@tches and their attitudes.Funny how they act like a HW is inviting them and paying for the trips.BS just a paid storyline that they have to attend. So overdone and the vows renewals are stupid and end in divorce.I have been 38yrs and would never have a renewal just a stupid move.Cynthia /Peter are fronting to make us think things are good.See you on “Divorce Court” after your Bravo contract is up.
Vow renewals are good if it’s a true thing and several years down the line. They look a bit funky if you only just married a year or two ago. Seems like you need to keep reinforcing to people that your asses do or still love each other. Renewals are supposed to be wonderful milestone markers. Guess in reality tv land a year is a hell of a long time.
Maybe they are reminding themselves…still stoopid & overdone.
This has to be the absolute insult. How dare these women of Atlanta’s so-called high society put a burden of a cash strapped country and I am sure the demands of these heffas were over the top. It has been only a minute since Nene finances were such that she was evicted and car repo-ed. BRAVO is becoming SUCKO and these women need to use these resources for some real issues here in Atlanta; i.e. high school bands in need of uniforms and instruments, at-risk youth programs.
I am sure after the foolishness at the resorts in Africa not many places were interested in hosting these ladies and their HUGE staff. What a waste of resources by BRAVO, I swear I’d almost rather see TV shows by film school students that the rehashing of the Housewives shows. To be honest if I didn’t enjoy this board so much I might have dropped watching the shows. The comments posted here are far more funny and exciting than the shows
While I never used to miss a week of all of the HW shows, I havent seen any at all in over 2 years – but I do enjoy the blogs! what does THAT say about me? The women are such morons and bravo is so simpleminded and I am continually amazed at their inflated egos – sort of a story of how not to be!
Why don’t the Housewives visit fabulous resorts in the US to generate tourism and keep the money right here in the US? These type of trips drive me nuts. The US citizens need your patronage, keep the money HERE!
vow renewal…impending divorce
Peter & Cynthia’s wedding woes were nothing but how much that wedding was costing them to the point that the poor dears just couldn’t go on a honeymoon (sarcasm intended) . Did P&C pay for it of Bravo? Then the following year they throw a 1 yr anniversary party all the while they kept harping about staying on budget etc etc etc….their budget for their party $10,000. Who in the hell throws a freaking 1 yr anniversary party complaining all the while they are broke trying to start up their 2 new businesses and has a “budget” of 10k for a party. They didn’t pay for it Bravo did. Those two need to quit whining all the while holding out their hand playing the broke card. Oh and one more thing while i am on my soap box here. Not that I like Kim at all but why do they give her such a hard ass time about her wigs when they wear them all the time ESPECIALLY Cynthia who goes from real short hair to hair past her butt from one day to the next. Not making it a black and white thing but why can’t Kim where a wig everyday if she wants without getting called out for it?
Why are Kim’s legs opened so wide in this picture. I believe it’s intentional. Close your legs to married men.
