… business dealings gone sour, Tree and Dina going behind DCC’s back remaining friends, Tree writing perceived ‘insults’ about DCC and her “kids” in her cookbook… even speculation that the bad feelings started with a meatball challenge on the Rachael Ray Show!
NONE of these theories seem the basis for the vitriolic statements and actions of DCC toward Tree. There HAD to be a REAL reason for DCC’s very REAL distain for Tree.
IMO, THE FOLLOWING is WHY DaDon really “hates” Tree.

From New Jersey to the Dominican Republic, Real Housewives of New Jersey house hubby Joe Giudice just can’t escape trouble with the law. Radaronline has obtained exclusive new details about who was involved in the bar fight – and hauled away by police – while the cast was on vacation late last month for the upcoming season of the hit Bravo show.
A late night bar brawl led to Teresa Giudice’s burly hubby being detained by police along with Caroline Manzo’s sons Albert Jr. (known on the show as Albie) and Christopher, and their roommate Gregory Bennett.

All the cast members partied at the Hard Rock hotel bar at about 1 am on February 23 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, including: Caroline and her husband Albert, Jacqueline and Chris Laurita, Teresa and Joe Giudice, newcomers Kathy and Richy Wakile, Joey and Melissa Gorga, the Manzo children (Chris, Albie, and Lauren) and roommate Gregory Bennett.
According to police, they don’t know who started the fight, but our source says that after the New Jersey clan popped open a bottle of champagne which accidentally sprayed on surrounding patrons, it led to the bar brawl with other male patrons. “Everyone was involved. It became a massive scene,” the source said
But it turned physical with about eight people involved, said police, including Joe, Albie, Christopher and Gregory, who were defending the women. “Usually when there’s a fight we take one guy, but this time we took everybody,” the police representative said.

According to our source, Joe was “beating on the guy” and struck a male patron with glass. Police said the patrons injured made the complaint to police. According to police in the Dominican Republic, the two injured “victims” were Americans Adolfo Arriolla, who had a fracture in his arm, and Jason Gomez, who had a fracture in his leg and scratches on his face. Others involved had bruises.
When authorities arrived, Arriolla and Gomez, along with Joe, Albie, Christopher and Gregory were detained and taken to the police station where their passports were seized, said our source. Local attorneys came in to smooth over the situation. The cast was scheduled to fly home Thursday, February 24 and everyone left on time except for those who were questioned by police. Teresa also stayed behind to be with her husband. (Oh, Juicy had to love that!)

Those involved were detained until the afternoon of Wednesday, February 23 when a verbal agreement was reached between all parties and no charges were filed, according to police. Our source added that they were under supervision at the Hard Rock Hotel until they returned home days later on Sunday, February 27.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice is known for causing a scene, and that’s just what she did while vacationing with the cast in the Dominican Republic last month – leading the “star” to be punched in the face and several of her cast mates in police custody!
Teresa was the reason behind the February 23 bar brawl at the Hard Rock in Punta Cana.
“It was late, they were on vacation, and she was just having fun,” said a show insider. “She opened the champagne and just started spraying it everywhere and it went all over this woman near her.”
According to the source, the drenched woman’s husband did not take kindly to the rowdy group and physically attacked Teresa. “It was crazy, he got really angry and punched Teresa in the face!”
“Joe, Albie and Chris were trying to protect Teresa and they just grabbed the guy and started fighting, and then people joined in.
“Bravo helped to break up the fight,“ added the source. “Everyone was involved. It became a massive scene,” another source previously explained.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s bar brawl last month in the Dominican Republic has caused the Bravo network to rethink plans for Albie and Chris Manzo’s upcoming spin-off of the show.
“They decided they should hold off on the spin-off until things cool down,” said a production insider.

Caroline Manzo’s sons Chris and Albie had been offered their own reality show about their bachelor lifestyle; the spin-off was to showcase the boys independence after their big move from the family mansion to a bachelor pad in Hoboken, New Jersey.
“The network had to deal with the issues caused by the fight and they just want to avoid any future trouble,” said a source.
NOTE: NOT ONE of the New Jersey crew has mentioned the Punta Cana bar brawl… WHY??? Because the cases involve the RHONJ production company AND Bravo! The cases have yet to be settled…
ChicagoTribune, June 13, 2011… Adolfo Arreola, a sworn officer with the University of Illinois at Chicago’s police department, suffered a broken arm, blurred vision, cuts and bruises after some members of the cast “savagely beat, kicked, punched, scratched, jumped” on him and smashed glass on his head, according to the lawsuits. His cousin Jason A. Gomez suffered a broken leg and a torn MCL after he came to Arreola’s defense.
The cousins’ lawsuits – filed in New York and Miami – allege that they and their families were dancing and socializing in a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino bar in Punta Cana on Feb. 23 when Jersey Housewife Teresa Giudice sprayed champagne on Arreola’s mother-in-law and mocked the 53-year-old woman as she tried to wipe the alcohol from her eyes.
The complaints state that after Arreola confronted Giudice, he was attacked by cast members that included her husband, Joe, and Albert and Christopher Manzo, the sons of show matriarch Caroline Manzo.

Wow, juicy stuff. I can see Caro blaming Tre for Bravo dropping the boys show, but I don’t buy that the fight was what actually canned the Manzoid Boys show. There is no market for them. That may have been the final straw, but if they had some markatable material, it would have made the airwaves come hell or high water. There was no money to be made and they became a liability.I do admire the boys for standing up for a woman. I’m actually surprised. If those two men did put hands on Tre, they deserved every single one of those stiches. To fight over spilled champagne on a vacation is so lame.
I don’t believe the fight and legal issues surrounding it is what caused Bravo to shelve or cancel the show either. Like you said, no market for them. People just aren’t dying to see these 2 (3, including BGG) joke about farting and their messy apartment – shocker. However, I can imagine a scenario where that was the EXCUSE Bravo/Andy gave them when he had to turn them down. ” Oh, we’re worried about all the legal issues!” I mean, if that is the case, why is Tree coming back for season 5 ( we think )? She’s wrapped up in the exact same legal issue ( and lots of other ones too ). She’s there because the viewing audience wants her and she makes them $$. It is interesting that they came to some sort of settlement in the Dominican are public, Bravo paid them off, but they smell deep pockets. The only reason I could see Chris & Albie getting in a huge fight is if they decked Teresa first. But I totally agree with Ms. SH. This is why she is so pissed off, but she cannot talk about it.

Look how Albie manhandled Kim G when he and his family threw her out of Melissa’s house. Now add alcohol, Chris, Greg–and Juicy! Sorry, but I don’t think it takes much for these guys to get into a fight. And even though I like Teresa, I can totally see her spraying champagne into an old lady’s eyes and laughing at her. I like the show, but come on. Let’s not be naive about who and what these people are. They’re criminal lowlifes who seem to escape jail no matter what they do. I think one of the guys they beat up was a cop, and if Juicy broke a bottle and used that on somebody, that’s mayhem. Whenever I watch this show, I’m so glad I don’t live in New Jersey or anywhere back east. It’s corrupt over there because a certain ethnic group can break the law with impunity.

Don’t forget the Jersey Shore gang. I think it says something about us the US that this is what we find entertaining. But I still watch HW (NOT Jersey Shore).
This was the reason why they lost there show, I totally agree with you SH. I can understand how some of us can see that these guys had nothing going on, but it wouldn’t matter. Bravo would have scripted the show more than the HW, it would put them in situations and such to force issues. You can be the dullest person but give others the time to script situations and you can be perceived any way they want. There show got shelved over a three things.
One, as employees of the Bravo network (I know they where drinking) they have to maintain some semblance of control when dealing with the public. And in many media and sport contracts they have clauses that can penalize if not fire you for showing an organization in a bad light. Two, Teresa (who is also an employee) started the situation by assaulting the individuals mother with champagne. She shouldn’t have assaulted that woman who wasn’t apart of that show not at all. And three, Bravo and the production company are being sued and the last thing they want is to have them a show and another incident happens or someone tries to bait them to fight. Bravo would have violent employees that are beating people up and it would be lawsuit gold.
I know people are saying they shouldn’t have punched (if they did, remember everyone is quiet on that) Teresa, but she initiated an attack accidental or on purpose. How big was that mans 53 year old mother (remember Teresa is a big girl), and after spraying her the first time I’m sure the woman yelled at her and Teresa said something and possibly threw something back at her or pushed her we don’t know (not yet). So that guy went to protect his mom from some drunk woman. If it’s alright for the to jump in to protect Teresa, then it’s okay for them to protect there mother. In fact we don’t know if that’s even how it happened, those guys might have thought that Joe and the others where about to attack his mother as backup for Teresa. They had to have been close to her when she sprayed the champagne, it’s not like she went to the far side of the room to spray the bottle. The saw the mother assaulted and Teresa was apart of that group close to her and they thought all of them was about to attack her.
Oh one more thing a number 4. Bravo talked to there people and possibly know what exactly went down and who was involved both with the cast and the film crew. The film crew and there security should have tried to stop the cast and protect them but the cast went nuts and possibly the crew helped also, and if that’s the case the whole production crew and is compromised.
I know that some on here think it’s bad that a woman was punched (if she was punched or punched during the melee when everyone was fighting), but she put herself in that situation and thought she was the shit in doing what she wants and getting her man to do what she wants. Remember second season when Teresa was chasing Danielle in the catering hall and Danielle had her hair pulled. Teresa wanted to talk to Danielle and Kim G’s driver was stopping her (he didn’t touch her) but was in her way. She went home and during a game of pool with her husband she told him about what happened and she made comment about the guard aka the driver stopping her Joe said did he touch you and she stopped and got a look and said yea and he was saying he would have did this and that. She’s a troublemaker and extremely dangerous, I know men and women like this and they get people killed.
I love Teresa, but she uses Joe as a weapon to attack when needed. So that is why she has the balls or tits to do what she does. She knows she has an attack dog that will kill someone if need be. Those guys where fucked up from the pics and it looked like they where trying to get away from rabid animals. As a woman you may think it’s wrong, but wait until you have a son or a husband that gets caught in a situation where some woman or tight ass says he did it joe get him or he touched me or she initiates a fight and the men on her side try to kill him essentially. That white knight thing that we all read in books and see on television is just that. Remember people manipulate and lie and harass, and sometimes they don’t know what there actions can do to groups of people.

It was long but it makes sense. No a woman should ever be punched or hit neither should a woman elderly or not be sprayed in the face with champagne but both could be handled without such savagery. I do think Tree likes having her mad dog on a leash but she may regret it when he goes to far. She said Joe got turned on by the table flipping instance and Tree is not one to back away from a fight. The first reunion when she got so angry she growled like a animal herself.

Boyz to Manzo was a JOKE. It was BEYOND boring. The only shining light was Greg Bennett. Albie is cute, of course, but has zero personality. That was evident on The Millionaire Matchmaker. More like thousandaire.

Also last years the shows opening credits showed scenes of Caroline in a bar with everyone and she was telling Teresa’s brother dance baby dance for momma something to that affect but the scene was never played during the show. Would make sense that they wouldn’t show it since it was still open. WOW!

I think the Punta Cana “incident” is a big part of the reason Chuck doesn’t care for Tree, but they were nasty about her before they ever left for the DR. They mocked her mercilessly the day of the 5K race and that occurred before PC. Also, given how much Jac especially can’t shut up about Tree ” stealing her business opportunities ” , I still think pure and simple jealousy is the biggest reason they fell out of favor with her.

This incident occurred in Feb 2011 and as of today the producers are still waiting for things to cool down??? What demographic would have watched this show? Sounds more like they saw the light and realized that the Manzoid boys are boring and wouldn’t bring in ratings.
I remember seeing an interview with Albie and Chris where they said the idea for the webshow came about because ” When we were sitting around waiting to film with the girls ( your mom is NO girl, Albie! ) Chris, Greg and I would just be joking around and being crazy and funny ….” – I forgot the exact quote, but the gist was ” Damn, the producers saw comedy GOLD in us while we were sloathin’ around waiting for our angry, masculine, 100 yr old mother to arrive so we as 20 something guys could be the Greek Chorus to a bunch of squawking hosebeasts all old enough to be our mothers. Damn, we’re cool, hip and funny! And the producers knew they needed to get us on screen! ” Yeah OKAY. Remember, it was a WEBshow. If producers/programmers think they have a real winner on their hands, they GREEN light it….. full speed….. on Television. A webshow to me reflects a timid, tepid, lets-see-what-happens-cause-we’re-really-not-confident approach to a new idea/concept/show. I suspect Andy threw them a bone ( don’t make a dirty joke! ) because half of his producers are sleeping with one or more of the “boyz” and for some inexplicable reason, he likes Caroline. Oh, forgot, she does have that gay brother!

Someone on this site posted a link to a blog ages ago, that was written before RHNJ season1 aired. The comments were obviously from the cast and kids of the cast were posting that they deserved their own reality show. They could hold a show without outsiders. I think they went into this convinced the public would love them and demand a spinoff… that didnt happen and so someone has to be to blame. How could viewers not love them as much as they love themself? That entire cast was making fun of teresa before during and after punta cana. Caroline did interviews after punta cana saying she was still on teresas side.
Caroline is ticked that Teresa has become the star… love her or hate her, she is good TV.

I think Bravo uses the title “producer” pretty liberally. I usually envision a producer to be a suit, but on these shows there are the top execs, then there are a bunch of “producers” who are just recent college grads and wannabes that are setting up scenes and guiding the action and drinking with the Gorgas. It was probably one of these that were trying to pitch to the suits that a show for the boys was a good idea.
A “producer” in showbiz can be anybody. You can be a producer for putting up money, writing scripts, or just helping out in some way. It doesn’t mean you’re a bigwig or anything. It’s like saying “staff member.”
Frankly if someone punched me in the face or slapped me or physically attacked me my husband would do the same. Of course I would have been throwing my own punches as well so I guess my sorry butt would have been locked up as well. But all the individuals involved are full grown adults and should have known they couldn’t just fist fight at the Hard Rock. I also wonder if this is the reason Albert Senior has stepped back from participating so much. He has a business to lose unlike Joe G and Chris Laurita. I have a theory as well about Tre, Joe and Mel and Jack a lope Joey. I was home sick today and scrolling through the site and say the most clicked and pulled up the pics from Antonia’s birthday. And I have to say Mel and Jack a lope Joey’s youngest son looks like Gabierella (?). I know they are first cousin and it is possible but I can see Joe Guidice and Melissa doing the deed. Im not saying its not possible considering the type of people Melissa and Joe Giudice are.. but I have a son who is identical to my cousin. He looks more like my cousin than my cousins son! Same facial expressions, same voice, same smile, they even have the same traits and personality. My son has only met him a few times since we live out of state.I think families with multiple children always have one or two who look like “no one” or a distant relative. I also think that Albie Manzo looks more like Chris Laurita than Big Al. Lauren Manzo is the only one who looks like a Manzo to me.
I was holding my 3rd daughter outside of church one Sunday, when this woman walked up to me and told me what a good person I was to adopt an Asian child. I informed her my daughter wasn’t adopted and she wasn’t Asian but Irish/German. What a child looks like doesn’t determine parentage. If you give birth to them they are yours.

Jen, they said the Bravo production crew was there. How is it possible there is no film? Why would a security guard / rent a cop start a fight in a foreign country. Has he been suspended. I know in Police departments in Jersey, if u get into a fight abroad, u are on desk duty or suspended until the matter is cleared up. So far, all accounts say that the Chicago crew thru the first punch.

Neither Juicy nor Gorga live in Franklin Lakes. Neither Manzos nor Lauritas are big deal in Franklin. Lakes. Tommy Manzo is liked in Paterson because he helps everyone and Al Sr likes to pay off whoever he needs to for his family. Chuckie was notorious for being a pushy real estate broker who demanded listings and I’m not sure if she ever sold a house!

Yeah, that’s the incident I was thinking about MP! I posted below that I thought it might have been a black eye, but it was the broken nose thing. I remember thinking I wonder if it was actually from the fight in PC.
I think it started with the Teresa’s table toss. Then Teresa started the ball rolling at the fashion show chasing Danielle. Giving Ashley a idiot excuse to pull Danielle’s hair and all the court stuff that followed. Then the fight in the D.R. revolving around Teresa. Put all that with Teresa running to Dina after Jacq’s and Caroline”s argument and Dina not taking up for family. That was the icing on the cake that took it from a mere irritation to hateful.
The boys don’t have an audience they are not cool for their age group and the older folks wouldn’t want to watch them either. Only Caroline finds them stars not the rest of the world.
If Caroline was bothered at all by Teresa flipping the table, she sure as hell didn’t SHOW IT. She laughed hysterically during that scene and the whole Manzo clan talked about it in favorable terms in talking heads after that – ” God bless her, she has a hot Italian temper!”.
I think it stopped being funny when it started getting Teresa all that attention.
And when Chuckie stopped needing Teresa to take her side against Danielle.
I think Teresa disliked Danielle more because of Dina than Caroline.

Jax didn’t act mad at her until the backlash came and Danielle threatened to press charges. And then suddenly Ashley was portrayed as a horrible out-of-control kid and had all these issues….

The whole fight was big news in Jersey when it happened. I never saw pics of the men who were hurt, so this is interesting. I agree that a lot of this story doesn’t make sense and the details were kept out of the news stories. Wish we could know the entire, detailed story.

I like the fact that he’s the only real “husband” now. Al Sr is kind of removed, too, I just can’t seeing the men in the talking heads. Bothers me so much. I wish Teresa was more vocal to Joe in the car, because when my dad had his license taken away and had to be driven around by my mama, he kept his mouth shut unless he wanted to walk.
I think when the cameras aren’t rolling, Juicy does a lot more walking when he acts up. Typical Italian family, wife is a lot more in charge behind closed doors.
It was so nice before T’s family came on the show, because even though there were obviously issues within the family, you never really heard about it… there were things that T kept pretty private. Her relationship with her parents seems great, which I feel says a lot about her. I also love watching her interacting with her kids. Just seems so normal.
I’m sorry, you love seeing her interact with her kids? Ever watched the scenes where Teresa moves toward her kids and they flinch?? She smacks those kids around and talks horribly to them. Where do you think their hostility and little potty mouths come from?
I totally agree, I bet when those cameras aren’t around they beat the crap out of those kids. When a child flinches like that it’s indicative of some sort of abuse going on in the family.

Didn’t he use the Patterson address to be able to serve in some position for the state. If he did his Job how was anyone robbed? I understand that he received health insurance because of the position he held but as I said if he was fulfilling his obligations to the post he served how did he rip off anyone. It is a matter of misrepresenting his address in order to make himself eligible for a position not really in the same league as Joe.

The last scene of the Punta Cana trip, when they were all walking and you hear Albert saying something like I would rather take a trip to hell than spend another vacation with these people” or something like that, the camera was showing only the guys’ feet walking. As someone posted the other day, if everyone with a fake ID went to jail, there would be way to many college grads in jail. I learned years later that my kids and all their friends had fake IDs (and they all graduated from top universities and are successful nearly 40 yr old adults).

If this is Caroline’s excuse for treating Tre badly, which I am sure is, it is all about defending her boys from legal action. This must be what she’s talking about when she says Tre does things and then steps back and plays the victim. Caroline is probably trying to distance them from Tre to try and take blame off of her sons and make them look like poor innocent boys who got just caught up in a scuffle. It’s crazy how she is trying so hard to make Tre look like the only person at fault that she even implies that Juicy is a victim of evil Tre too, like last week in her “prediction” about their marriage.

Tree has said that Gabriella is the artist. She shy’s away from the camara, but something tells me she holds her own with her sisters. You even see Adriana doing her thing. Yes Milania is the one that runs her family. Gia is more the motherly roll, but she speaks her mind. Those 4 girls are full of life and I have seen them, cook, clean, and stucco. In their short years have done more then the Manzo’s have….
Now I know Tree went to college or a 2 year trade school, but she at least furtured (?) her education, so that tells me she has a mind set to at least want her girls to contiune some form of education after HS. We know the Manzo’s didn’t, Ashlee I think did something. Kathy’s daughter is attending Community College, and that’s a start. I have always wanted them to succeed and accomplish their dreams and goals. Because I love them and always try to be supportive and honest if they ask my opinion. In my family any sense of entitlement , enabling of lazy behaviour as if it is some kind of good attribute, abandoning and discarding / shipping off of a child / sibling or constantly ridiculing one in front of the whole family or extended family and so called freinds let alone the public on tv would NEVER fly !

I agree. Teresa’s kids are cute. Audrianna is beautiful. They are exposed to Joe’s drunken rants. Sober he yells swears threatens and ignores them all. Gia takes care of the baby when T is gone and this is what we see on TV. T never takes responsibility for anything so it makes it impossible to teach. Gia is obviously aware of the talk about Joe cheating to the point seeing the headline on the tabloids upsets her. I would think that would be enough to make T stop her photos and interviews.
It really is not the kids fault. I hope this show does not do life long damage to any of the children on these shows.

Easier for me see the dead silence is because someone who works for Bravo was involved? So….everyone has had a few…Teresa accidentally opens the champagne and it spews in the woman’s face. She laughs, because, honestly, it would be funny. Then, the woman spouts off, and Teresa tries to recover by trying to wipe it from her face. The problem is that she can’t keep from laughing which further angers the woman. Then, the woman’s entourage comes to her defense, so Teresa’s entourage comes to her defense. Everyone wants in on the action because it is being filmed, after all. Now I fully admit I aint had much opportunity to witness too many champagne bottles being popped in real life. Only what I see here on TV. Every time they depict it on TV seems like they always slow down the shot and show it spraying all over everybody and everyone has such a gleeful happy look on their faces. I am imagining that that was the case here. Maybe that woman has crowding them and got sprayed on accident. I would love to see the lay out of that place. Why was this random stranger standing so close to someone else’s circle of good times?
MP: It’s such a shame that they show the WRONG way to open a bottle of champagne on TV. The correct way is to uncork the bottle with a very quiet pop… you want to keep the bubbles in the champagne. More than likely, the idiots opening the bottle with a flourish and then spraying are probably opening a very cheap bottle of champagne! TFC!! SH
I’ve often wondered why every time I have seen champagne being opened…why they all SUCK at opening!!!! By the time I was 18 I could open a bottle of Korbel (cheap cheap cheap)… Without the bottle foaming…not sure why it seems so hard for reality tv people to do the same.
i remember reading something that said Tre refused at apologize to the woman which angered her sons and started the fight not saying its true cuz i dont know but as rude as tre is i can totally see her refusing to say she was sorry. since she never thinks she is wrong and its always someone elses fault never hers
Well I heard Tre apologize for the cookbook scandal, but I have never heard the others apologize for much of anything…

Lol Made. I’m starting to feel lucky to be an only child in a small family. I always wished I had siblings until I grew up and heard stories from people that do. And I can’t imagine putting up with crap from family and extended family like what we see on RHONJ.
The bottom line is the whole cast was loaded from what WAS shown on the show at the bar. Everyone was all huggy feely , ” I love you, you love me” , “let’s all be friends again”, blah , blah,making up with each other, yadda, yadda. Then a bombed Tre splashes the “champs” all over the place , not maliciously but stupidly and the sh*t hits the fan. What words were actually exchanged by the cast to the other party before the melee insued and whether or not the whole thing was even still being filmed by production will not see the light of day.
The only facts are :
An incident occured and a fight broke out .
The other party contacted the popo.
Lawyers for Bravo were contacted immediately. The other party also contacted their lawyers.
Some of the cast was detained for at least a day.
Some kind of settlement was reached between Bravo and the other party who saw dolla dolla signs.
Otherwise publicly we would all know.. exactly what was said verbatim by each member of the cast prior /during the fight, and what the other party said during it. It would ALL be in a court record. Not a generalization of what was said which was in the initial news reports which have been reported. Exactly WHICH member of the cast threw the first punch and who hit who. Also for my own satisfaction..which idiot thought they had the biggest “beer mucsles”. Once again booze and a HW cast equals STOOPID ! A simple and sincere apology and not a sense of entitlement because a group of people are on a tv show should have taken place . As for the other party.. you must have gotten buccu bucks to settle so quickly.. did your party over react also ? I might be cursing someone out who splashed me or my mom with a drink and didn’t apologise .. but throwing a punch ? No.
according to them they only accepted the money to get their passports back and able to leave the country. The police dept was holding them and their passports maybe they had watched to many episode of Locked up abroad and wanted to do anything to get home.
They weren’t in Turkey, they were in Punta Cana. Haha. Less dangerous than Chicago. The locals were holding passports for the NJ crew too.
A bunch of drunks @ 1:00 a.m. in a bar at the Hard Rock in the Dominican Republic. (God forbid any of these twits should stay in a non-Disney hotel) I am sure the RHONJ cast had been yucking it up, cursing, and being very loud. The other group was wasted, too. And they were too stubborn to leave and go somewhere they might enjoy themselves, but they sat there and stewed. When Teresa sprayed the Champagne all over the lady, most likely by accident, (why waste it) they must have verbally attacked Teresa. I don’t think Albie and Chris would go apeshit unless someone else started it, and took it over the top. It was a brawl. Just because these jerks got the worst end of it doesn’t mean they should sueow cheap they are. They smell deep pockets with Bravo. If only they knew how cheap they are. I know if i was sitting near an obnoxious group of New Jersey loudmouths I would find one of the other fourteen bars and have my nightcap.
For me personally, I don’t know the exact sequence of events for this Punta Cana mess so it doesn’t change my opinion of Teresa or anyone in the cast, for better or for worse. The opinions I have on the cast at this point are not based on this incident.
Back in Season 2, I was ready for Teresa to get her come-uppance, which she did in the form of S3. However, for 2 consecutive seasons, it’s been nothing but that, and the facade on the others are starting to crack big time.
The biggest reason why I dislike Melissa, Kathy, Joe Gorga, and Richie (more than Teresa) is because they’re supposed to be family. They don’t shy away from throwing that word around yet they’re the ones that chose to appear on a show that’s notorious for fighting and driving wedges in relationships. They got on the show BECAUSE of their feud.
Teresa doesn’t have to say a word, that tells me all I need to know about these people. This incident notwithstanding. I’m so ready for Beverly Hills.
How do we know why Melissa and gang got on the show. Maybe it was to further her singing career or Joe’s construction business. Maybe Kathy wanted to do something with baking.
As for Teresa never saying a word she never misses an opportunity to play victim and let us all know about it. I am not a fan of the rest of the cast but Teresa is the biggest hypocrite on HW. She has done a good job of using this platform to make money and good for her but she resents her family doing the same. She belittles their efforts and makes rude remarks about them at every opportunity. I could change the channel but instead I bitch or is it venting?
We know because MeGo basically admitted it.(weakly) Don’t forget that Danielle dropped the ‘F’ bomb during the fashion show thingy. She got that info from lil mrs “hormonal”
But ALL THAT aside, MeGo and JoGo are beyond scum for emasculating JoGo’s daddy in a screwed up effort to make them selves look so all fire magnanimous. THAT story will come back to bite them I am sure of it. Their “efforts” are deserving of a belittling and then some.
Its not bitchin its venting. And like I have said before these women do things that remind us of real life situations we have had to deal with so we vent. No matter whose side you identify with more its all about perspective and we all have different life experiences that dictate our points of view.

Melissa didn’t have a singing career before appearing on RHONJ. She still doesn’t. She’s just getting her feet wet in the business at this point. If she makes it, good for her. Kathy was a hairdresser.
I’d feel resentful too if my family came on a show that’s infamous for breaking up relationships of all kinds. If you’re truly serious about mending your family, this isn’t the kind of show you want to appear on. Bravo only hired them because the producers wanted the feud for “good TV” and everyone knows it.
As for the tit-for-tat between the Gorgas/Giudices/Wakiles, they need to knock it off. As for Caroline and Jacqueline, they need to butt out.
I misunderstood you. I think we agree for the most part however I do think if her family was as important to Teresa as she claims she would walk away from Bravo for her parents sake.
It takes two to make a relationship work and it takes two to fight. She was on the show first but it is about what is more important to her. My issue with Teresa is her claim to being the victim when she is a active participant in the drama. If her parents were more important to her she would walk away and refuse to take part in the destruction of the family instead of waging war on a TV show.
But then that would just leave MeGo and JoGo and Kathy and her momma on the show bashing momma and poppa Gorga. They wont stop that if Tree leaves, they cant…its…all…they…have.
You’re right that a relationship needs to go both ways. The thing that drives me semi-crazy with the NJ franchise is that the family dynamic is way too strong. Everyone in this cast is connected to each other in some way. It’s completely dysfunctional and dark at this point, and it has been since Season 3.
Teresa…she’s in a precarious position right now. It sounds like the contract ends at the end of this season, but with the large debt still looking, I’m expecting to see her again for S5, despite what she may feel for her parents.
(ran out of space, continuing on…) But this also goes for Joe and Melissa. Joe and Teresa both share the same parents, and both have said they don’t want to embarrass them. Joe however, can afford to take Melissa out of the show. But they won’t.
It’s just weird and disingenuous for Joe Gorga to claim they want to spare their beloved parents embarrassment from the show, yet they were eager to get on the show in the first place, in it’s 3rd season at that, and though they are in a position where they *can* afford to leave – they won’t.
I don’t know if they can afford to leave or not. Last week the talk was about how in over their heads they were on their mortgage by 2 million. I don’t want to defend any of them. It has gotten dark but Teresa has been elevated to sainthood or so it seems. She has worked hard and it has paid well. It seems Joe Gu has retired and if so good for them. I don’t know how much motivation is financial and how much is ego for all of them.
For me, Teresa is no saint. I thought she was awful in S2, and is a flawed character. However, I think less of the others. I think Bravo knew what they were setting up with S3, especially by not telling Teresa until the last minute, and the Gorgas + Kathy were willing to go along with it. “Family first”…Mmmhmmm.
You bring up an interesting point with the Gorga finances. I’d like to know how much of it was brought on *because* of the show? It sounded like they put themselves in debt trying to front for the show. They had this huge house built on a builder’s loan, then decided to live in the house. Why would they do that instead of selling it for 2 years? My guess is so they could front for the show they wanted to be on, and it’s costing them.
Here’s another movie worth watching again with the Guidice?Gorga’s in mind. Especially Woody’s character is sooooo much like JoGo.
