What a freakn spin Kathie W. put on the recipe thing and what the hell Melissa – stick up for your sister in law. First, Tre’s mother is NO RELATION TO KATHIE OR HER MOTHER. They are so dumb it makes my head spin.
IA Nonna, This claim is BS, another twist to try and bring Tree down~because when Kathie was on WWHL and someone asked her about her saying that, she did not say Tre’s Mom called her Mom, she said they are from the same region.
She must of been called out on her lie so she changed her story..
Yeah, Kathie should be happy because I’m sure she just started a fued between her mother and Tre’s parents because she lied about Tre’s mother calling Kathie’s mother for a recipe. You want RESPECT Kathie, you just pissed it away.
I agree. When Kathy was asked about that, she sunk in her chair and essentially gave a reasonable answer that SUPPORTED Teresa. It was something like ” Hey, we’re all from the same area, our recipes are interchangeable and similar. NO big deal.” Perfectly honest and nice answer, but THAT was a completely different tune and tone from what she said to Teresa at the book signing which was basically that Teresa was breaking into her mother’s house and stealing recipes in the middle of the night. Someone called her out on it, I think.
Perhaps Melissa should tell Kathy “It’s no big deal”. If Kathy hadn’t brought it up, it wouldn’t be a topic of conversation. duh.

No way. Kathy has been yapping for awhile about writing a dessert cookbook, but her mother willingly gives her dessert recipes to Kathy’s nemesis, her cousin??? That’s either pure BS, or Nonna’s got some ‘splainin to do.

shrug..I dont think she meant Tre stole her moms recipe and that not what she said, the word recipe never was in the comment. just “my moms cookies” Dont most cooks have a dish or dessert that they take special pride in maybe for Kathys mom it was those Cookies. Its a common cookie but maybe they were special to Kathy and her mom Teresa head is starting to swell IMO

Most woman I know Trees mothers age are not calling others for recipes they have their own they have been making for years.

Maybe she tasted Kathys moms cookies and wanted the recipe to try it out because it tasted different then her own and she wanted to try it. I know its not cool to not worship tre on this board and think everything she says is the gospel truth, but tre is as much as a snake as the rest of them.

Mego says on camera on a video for next weeks show that SH posted, that Kathy told her ( Mego ) that Trees mom called Kathy’s mom for her recipes.

Was Kathy event after Tre’s book signing? At least Tree showed up, she didnt have to and I am not sure that I would have bothered if my cousin was a horse’s ass to me at my event.
I think what Kathy was doing at that book signing was clear. She was being a bitch.
If I did a recipe book and included a sausage gravy recipe half the dadburn town would think I swiped it offa their mother but the fact is my momma taught me how to make it so…in my mind its HER recipe and if anybody (specially a cousin) dared to snark on it right to my face at my book signing I would not be happy with that at all. Tree was kinder than she needed to be to Kathy over that.

Right madepiley. Don’t stand there and make a big deal on camera out of how those are your mother’s recipes too. Just smile and ooh and ahh politely. And the pissy look on Kathy’s face when they were walking out the door said it all..she was definitely being snarky on purpose.
Pizzelle is a standard Italian cookie. Every Italian family has a recipe for Pizelle I seriously doubt Teresa’s Mom would need to call Kathy’s Mom for the recipe or for any Italian cookie recipe . And for Kathy to say “My Mom’s cookies…” well, that’s just downright silly.
The first episode that they had where Kathy was trying to promote this fantasy that she is Betty Crocker, they showed Kathy organizing her collection of recipes and may have mentioned something about doing a cookbook. They were all cutouts from toll house bags and other food packaging, none of them were old homemade recipes that were handwritten or on index cards.

I love reading everyone’s comments! I think ALL the NJ housewives are blind with jealousy that Tre has multiple books and is the show fav. and even though she is going through the bankruptcy and supposed trouble with her husband she still keeps on keepin’ on! Meanwhile, they are all stuck sitting together spinning their web of lies! Tre’s success is the ultimate revenge
Here is my problem with Kathy’s words and actions at Teresa’s book signing. How many times have we seen the Devil’s Army reading and bashing Teresa’s book? They all read the book or at least looked at it enough to say that Teresa was bashing them but yet Kathy just noticed at the book signing that some of the recipes looked like her mom’s? Personally I think that Kathy was going along with the plain to do whatever it takes to bring Teresa down. Insinuating that those were not Teresa recipes in front of a large group that had come to purchase the book and have it signed by Teresa is just cruel. There were plenty of other times for Kathy to speak with Teresa but just like the rest of the cast they all have to discuss things with Teresa on camera to make her look bad.
Kathy may be a wonderful baker but I will not purchase anything she is selling. I don’t like someone that was purposely try to ruin another especially a family member.

And what’s with Froggy trying to parlay her baking into a career? I think if she was smart she should have stuck to hair care products b/c she was a hairdresser. Not only Teresa is Kathy’s problem. Kathy will bring Melissa down – i just predict – I remember last episode – Kathy said something like ” Melissa is becoming successful so now I’m getting inspired .. bla bla ” – it seemed like she wanted to say something else or something else was on her mind .. she’s jealous type
