Over the years, I have made some very special friends.
When you move to a new town it can be difficult to make friends. How do we meet people? Through school, work, charitable organizations, and sometimes through our children’s friends. Let’s face it, meeting other women and making new friends is like dating. You are attracted to someone, you get to know them, you talk on the phone. Essentially, you “date” them. You try people on and see how they fit.
Heather Dubrow… “I cannot date you…you’re trampy! Bye, Tamballs!”
Like a great pair of jeans, not everyone is going to be the perfect fit. And that’s OK. You don’t have to be friends with everyone.
Heather Dubrow… “What are your 10-year goals, Alexis? No, I didn’t ask you if YOU are 10-years-old… oh, never mind…”
Life is about making connections and finding people that feel good. It’s easy to be a good friend when the chips are down. The true mettle of a friend is to be there when they are rising high. To enjoy each others successes. That is the kind of friend I am and the the kind of person I seek out. This quality is the hardest for some.
For me, I’d rather have a few amazing people in my life than a large group of schadenfreude losers. Note: Is that why Alexass is not included below?? Alexass didn’t snap da fondant!
I am blessed. I have an amazing, supportive husband. He is my true partner in life. We are not perfect, but we are perfect together.

We are strong, we love each other immensely, and we were lucky enough to get it right the first time around. We have four amazing, healthy children and a beautiful life together.
We already heard about Heather and her kids, etc…
I have lovely friends that have stood the test of time. They are my friends in difficult times AND in success. I can now add Tamra, Gretchen and Vicki to that list. They are independent, lovely women, and I’m proud to call them friend.
But…not Alexass!
If you had told me one year ago I would be finishing up Season 7 of RHOC right now I wouldn’t have believed you. I’m glad I’ve been open to the experiences life has thrown my way. I look forward to see what the future brings. . . Hopefully Vicki is not planning the next trip though.

There is no way Heather is friends with these women, she isn’t better or worse but they’re behavior is classless and she seems to run a tight ship at home. Her children will never be involved outside of her circle, interacting with the families/children of her castmates. Looking at the first picture of the four ladies what happened to Gretchen, she looks like a country western singer, her extensions multiplied and I have no words for her new teeth.
is it me..? or..does heather’s face appear to resemble a plastic mask with a perpetual ‘startled’ expression> those overly wide-opened eye balls..never seem to blink!..just say’in.

It’s like The Stepford Wives, at least Heather remained a brunette. The OC ladies have the worst 80′s hair, the clothes are a riot, Tamra wears plastic shoes and Gretchen wears hair bows and butterflies, WTF. They have all overdone the fillers. I think of all of the Housewives the Countess and the Princess (Carol) are the best looking, not necessarily the most beautiful but interesting to look at and chic.
hate to rain on your parade but carols face is totally injected too! her lips are filled and face doesn’t move. of all the HW shows and all the HWs only Luanne hasn’t changed her face or body and still looks like herself. IMO
Are you kidding? LuAnn has brand new cheekbones! Take a good look next time you watch RHONY. I noticed it recently. It is very obvious.
If Heather is truly ” friends ” with these so called ladies – then she is not who she presents herself to be ! She is an actress after all – and her hubby is probably giving her tips on how the reality world works ! I remember when the OC first aired – it was exciting and fun to watch – it’s a shame it’s degenerated into what it is today ! Watching Vicki’s “what goes around comes around” is particularly sad but so well deserved. Actually we should thank them all – for the lessons on how not to treat people – I’ve actually learned alot !
I think it’s hilarious that the HW’s shows have inadvertently provided SH with so much ammo from their own shows to make fun of them with – you’ve turned it into quite an art – congrats and thanks so much for the many hours of entertainment !

A failed bit actress she saw this show as a vehicle to future roles. And nobody can play “pretentious” as well as Heather. At least none of her castmates.
This is just Season 1 for Heather Dubrow. If they should decide to go with another useless season of screaming and yelling, watch for Heather’s true colors to emerge. And her husband is as equally annoying. He can’t get in enough scenes. Another Simon van Kampen with a mix of Paul Nassif and Slade Slimey.

I’m not a Heather fan. I thought she was not only pretentious, she was mean. She IS mean. You don’t have to like Alexis, really, you don’t. But you also don’t have to call her names and set her up to look like a fool. (Really, she can handle that on her own.) The Trampra/Wretched storyline, plus the addition of Heather? I can’t bear to watch the OC anymore.
Agreed, Alexis may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but she really does little of the bashing against the others as they have done to her.
She may try to be something she isn’t but name one of these women on any of these shows who does not.
Writers, singers, designers, chefs? Come on! Her “mistake” is in trying to justify her “religious beliefs” while dressing like a hooker. Can’t be done.
They have all undergone the knife, live far above their means, and behave like morons for the benefit of the camera so singling her out for being “pretentious” is laugh out loud hilarious.
I agree Maggie, actually what they did to Alexis was horrible. It was a set up by the lame producers to gut Alexis on camera with all bullshit. What does Heather know about pretentiousness EVERYTHING!!!!!! That was like the pot calling the kettle black and Tamra of the plastic shoes and Gretchen of the plastic purses and plastic teeth had some nerve. Those two will go at it again, they are both camera whores and they’ll do anything for the camera. I used to enjoy all of the franchises I dont understand the idiots in charge orchestrating fights, screaming and the wives following orders while looking at the camera, it’s campy now but not in a good way
I think she is mean and snobby. Why, because she is married to a doctor? BFD. Because she was a failed actress? Because she has a big foyer? Ugh. I just don’t like her. The fact that she went after someone so viciously for taking a nibble off of her dumb cake made her look like a crazy pos. This cake is special I changed my name. Who on God’s green earth cares that she changed her name? Ashlee changed her name and she didn’t get a cake! Taylor should have five cakes to bitch about. Maggie I agree with you. I sure don’t want to come off as a preacher and I’m so far from perfect there’s not time to say why. But I find it so offensive how they bash Christians as a way to slander Alexis.! She’s never claimed to be perfect. There isn’t a perfect person walking earth, including Christians. As a Christian I have the only Perfect person helping me Jesus!
If ANY of those women replaced the, “thought u were a CHRISTIAN ” with “I thought you were a Jew, Gay. Or used other horrible terms such as the N word refering to NeNe for example Andy Pandy would spend a 3 part reunion show tearing them to shreads!
I believe it was Tameras 1 season on the show when she thought she was cute calling people a “retard”. Mental issues aren’t a joke. Tamera needs to watch how bad a child is hurt when called that.

I’m not a Christian but if Tamra called her Jew jugs instead of Jesus jugs (as she does at the reunion) OMG the world would have a fit and Andy would halt everything and reprimand her not stop and laugh! attacking someone for their religious beliefs goes across the board and isn’t ok and your not exempt from being a bigot just because she’s Christian and not Jewish or Muslim or Hindu or Hare Krishna or Sunni etc.

I have to agree to you both. I don’t think TammyFaye has ever been asked to watch her mouth about someone who is Christian. The disrespect that she shows for most people is only obvious, to make fun of someones religion should be off limits just like making gay slurs. I suppose though Andy doesn’t think that’s no big deal. Making fun of Christianity seems to be ok in the reality television world.

My jokes about Alexass and Christianity are about her hypocrisy not the fact that she is a Christian. As a Christian I cringe whenever she talks about her faith because people like her are the reason people assume my favorite passtime is beating gay people to death with my Bible just because I am very open about my faith and also happen to be southern. I happen to also cringe when I hear a really racist person start talking about the south. Although I will say Ms.Andy is the sort who was determined to mock her from the very beginning due to his automatic tendency to associate Christianity with being anti-gay. He really does strike me as being very biased. I won’t be suprised if he replaces that awful game he used to play ” Good for the Jews, Bad for the Jews” with “Good for the Christians, Bad for the Christians.”

I wasnt defending Alexis per say, I was standing for my belief that using the fact someone is a Christian against them is wrong. I don’t like how the “I thought u were a Christian ” is used to make fun of someone. Example is how Heather said, “what happened to the one flesh?” only as a slam! Just as Andy has been all upset because someone used “gay” in the same way.
At the end of my comment I also said, “these are my views and I’m not trying to force them on anyone.” I hope you didn’t take my comment as if I was?

No CJ I didn’t think you were trying to force your views. I just think a lot of what is said about Alexass etc isn’t necessarily hating Christinaity especially the comments made by the other wives. But I do think that is the reason Andy tends to be so passive-agressive and sometimes blatantly aggressive when he mocks Alexis.

Initially I wanted to give Heather a chance and found her refreshing. Then (you’re right Maggie) she turned (or was actually this way from the start) pretentious to the 100th degree and terribly mean – particularly (and ONLY) to Alexis (and later Sarah) it seems. Personally, I would’ve ripped Tamra’s head right off her shoulders for sharing gossip that my husband had shared (Gretchen too), but those two were ok…. just ruffled Miss (or should I say Mrs now?) Heather Paige Kent’s feathers. BUT…. eat a tiny fraction of bow off a STUPID cake and it’s suddenly unprofessional, unclassy, unreal behavior. Or…. act like you have a real diamond on your hand and suddenly it’s Heather’s position to join trailer trash Tamra and gang up on harmless Alexis.

I kind of feel like your inital feeling for Heather is how I feel about Carole (RHONY) I hope she dosn’t let us down the way Heather did. Heather turned out to be oppratunistic,(her acting career) smug, pretentious (“champs”) meany. She totally had it in for AlexASS whose biggest crime was being an ignorant Ass and not having enough money, I think, not really sure. I can not imagine that Gretchen, Tamara or Vicki is in any way better than anyone else. I think I would have liked her better if she would have been like that with all of them. Then I could have said “well she isn’t a low life like the rest of them so she can’t fit in.” or just maybe dislike her because she was high and mighty. This picking one out of the group to crucify just makes it seem like she had an agenda and I don’t like it.

Heather is kinda like a LuAnn of the OC. She pretends to know ALL about EVERYTHING. She spent the season correcting everyone. I am not impressed personally. How many of these HW start out showing off what they have only to end up divorced and bankrupt? All of them.

Silver and gold…Friends are there when you go to high places(i guess means when you become famous). She is all about money. Most of her subjects come out with something to do with money or material things. Her and TammyFaye should get along just fine as they both are the same kind of people. Its funny how heather only stands up for certain language or behavior when its someone she doesn’t like. She told the gun lady(Winchester) to watch her language in her home they don’t use that kind of language. Yet trash mouth TammyFaye says the F bomb and a few other choice words and she says nothing about that. She really makes me sick. I would rather see TammyFaye being her true trashy self then Featherhead acting like her poopoo don’t stink. Tamballs went on WWHL and acted insulted because Alexis called her a bully !!!!!! Oh poor Tamballs. She’s so innocent and her feelings were hurt because as she said, bullying is serious. I have read and re-read what heather has to say about friendships and cannot fathom where this woman is coming from. In my world we value friendships when our friends support us not only in the good times but MORE IMPORTANTLY in the bad times. Am I crazy or isn’t this what the majority of us want in our friends and try to be as friends? Heather seems to suggest that we abandon our friends during their sorrows, sadness, divorces, financial woes etc. etc. *blah blah blah *
Basically, these words tell us that she is a shallow, pathetic, pretentious, golddigging bitch imo. If you are successful, have no problems and lots of money. . . you can be Heather’s friend! WOOHOO!
She is such a farce! People with lots of money don’t behave like this pretentions ass. I have family and friends who are multi millionaires. You’d never know it by socializing with them. They rarely mention money or possessions.
She’s worse that Alexis about material things imo because she flaunts them and pretends she doesn’t care about the cost of things when it’s what her entire value system is based on. Ditto about the money thing. My relations in Ireland are rich, raised by nannies, schooled in Britain etc. You would NEVER know, they are all so laid back & friendly.
