SH “HIT AND RUN” FOR MONDAY: Ramona Singer Hangin’ With Aviva Drescher, Andy Cohen “FreeBallin’…”… Jimbo Ads… Niagara Falls… RHOM Marysol Patton

May 28, 2012  11:30 am   UPDATE 5:30 pm

Memorial Day is not just another three-day weekend…  Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day… is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service.

It is a serious day … the people who have served and lost their lives in the line of duty should be remembered and be the focus of this day.

Niagara Falls…                                      the Falls are illuminated every evening.

On the other side of serious… Memorial Day will forever be connected to Niagara Falls and a comedian.

If you have never been to Niagara Falls, it is a destination that has to be personally experienced.  Videos and photos cannot convey the magnificence, the spectacular grandness and the overwhelming roar of the Falls.  You just have to see and hear the atmosphere of Niagara Falls yourself!

My most memorable visit was over Memorial Day weekend.

We decided to go at the last minute and were lucky enough to procure a hotel room, as it seems that there were a lot of people who thought ahead and actually planned their trip to the Falls.  We were given  almost the best room in the hotel, ’cause  The Presidential Suite was reserved… for the President.  Certainly the President would be expected to spend his Memorial Day exploring the Canadian side of Niagara Falls!

This particular hotel had an entire floor of suites named after comedians and we were assured that we were going to spend the next few nights in the very best room after the Presidential Suite… The Bill Cosby Suite!

Bill Cosby, Ray Charles…”I loved your hotel suite, Bill!”

All I gotta say is this:  If Bill Cosby knew that his name was attached to the “grandeur” of the suite named for him, he’d probably buy the entire hotel and demolish it!

The spur-of-the-moment trip to Niagara Falls and the stay in the Bill Cosby Suite was comedically bizarre; just too much to get into for the purpose of this post.  Anything that happened, however, was saved by the breathtaking, wondrous, stunning Niagara Falls!  Memorial Day will always bring back funny memories of Niagara Falls… and Bill Cosby!

Was shocked to read that MissAndy Cohen was a drug user!  YES… MissAndy was a “freeballer”!!!  Holy crap!  How the hell did he keep his job at CBS News for ten years while in the grips of a demonic drug???  I had to watch the following video to hear exactly how MissAndy was in his office… “freeballin”… with Cybill Shepherd!!!

I’m certain that all of YOU recognized immediately that “freeballin” is NOT “freebasing”… for some reason, my brain stirred up the terms “eight ball” and “freebasing” and equated them into “freeballing”!

NOTE:  MissAndy does not do drugs… allegedly!

AND… while looking for something else Housewife-related, noticed this Google Ad:

NOTE:   Health and Discovery channel is airing a marathon today of “Hoarding: Buried Alive”… one of my very favorite shows!

Robotic arm… the liquid arm!   Have another for solid food…

Watching these hoarders makes me feel better about lounging around in my La-z-Boy being fed by my robotic arm and procrastinating about cleaning before the cleaning people come to clean!

About Stoopid Housewives

The Real Housewives franchises have become a guilty pleasure for me and I've become intrigued by 'normal' people who would agree to put their lives on television for public display and scrutiny. What are their motives to divulge their daily routines for viewing audiences to approve, reprimand, berate, castigate, attack; basically abuse and judge? Oh, just forget about the above nonsense... the majority of these people are just stoo-pid.

Thank you for posting your memories Ms. SH. I have never been to Niagra Falls, but if I ever get the chance I am going to find that Bill Cosby Suite and luxuriate myself in all of the amenities before boarding Maid of the Mist. Seeing and experiencing the Falls is on my bucket list. Hope everyone has a nice, relaxing Memorial Day. I am going home and drinking a beer in memory of my father, a WW2 Vet who was a survivor of the Battle of Normandy – God Rest his Soul and all others who served.

  2. Yes, a memorial for those who served and a shout out for those troops in peril. A fervent hope that the government, both sides, stops screwing around and sends them home.

So funny your free word association MsSH.. So glad you enjoyed your trip to Niagara Falls. Hey wait a minute, is that there water freeballin? or freefallin? I think of freeballing every time I hear this song. tee hee Grab you a puddin pop and enjoy the tuneage.

I will never forget the first time I learned the word Freeballing. I asked my 16 year old why he hadn’t pack any undies for our Vacation. He looked at me and said “just freeballing Ma.” Here I thought it was a version of Kick Ball.

      • madepiley says:

lol. Well I cant say I blame them really when you think about the logistics of the cramming the franks and beans all up in some breathable cotton contraption. I would free ball it too. ;)

  4. Miles Perkins says:

Did I ever tell you about the time I went over the falls in a barrel? It was 1974 and it wasn’t really a barrel, but a mini sub research vessel we borrowed from the Erie Naval Base after a hard night of drinking. To make a long story short, I had passed out and my friends thought it would be a great gag to put me in the sub and send it down the river and over the falls. Although we were all drunk, my “buddies” had enough sense to strap me in and I was uninjured except for a little vomit on my tuxedo jacket. Now about the tuxedo. If you guessed that was my wedding night and my pals kidnapped me from the reception for a prank, you guessed right (and I was divorced shortly thereafter). The reason we didn’t get in trouble for stealing the sub was because we didn’t get caught. After the sub went over the falls and was close to shore my buddies waded in and pulled me out just as the Maid Of The Mist was passing by and we were able to climb aboard at the stern , don some slickers and blend in with the crowd. Imagine how much fun we had watching the authorities beating the brush looking for us. So you’re correct, Niagara Falls really is a magical place.

Wth happened to Mario?! He’s kinda wimpy now. He’s lookin almost as creepy pants as that Jonathan Chaban. :-/
P.S. Who is Marysol with? That’s not what’s his face? Is it? I don’t like him!

    • Nikki says:

Could it be that he is staying out of the sun and using the same *cough*plasticsurgeon*cough*skincare line that Ramona is selling? ;-)

  7. Maudtherriault says:

I think Mario looks good! Marysol is a beautiful woman but is that a scar running the length of her abdomen?

    • kel says:

I am wondering that too. It looks like a scar or her bathing suit is squeezing her ribs in a funny way?

    • madepiley says:

I dont see a scar but someone definitely told her wrong bout that bathing suit. No good.

  8. hudsoncountygrl says:

That red bathing suit is ugly. She can’t keep it up, of course her girls are so flabby. Yuck. She’s ugly.

    • DoneWithBravo says:

Who *is* the chick (old bag) in the red, slice-em/dice-em bathing suit???????? UGLY and she has absolutely, positively NO butt. Sooooooooooooooooooooo ugly!!! I despise women with flat/no butt and a thicker waist (no curves). Turns me off!

  9. kel says:

Wait, so Andy is saying Cybil basically tried to seduce him to get a show!?

  10. panda says:

Is there a phrase that you say for memorial day? we say ‘Lest We Forget’ & the ode of remembrance for ANZAC day & Remembrance day.

‘They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them.’

Some of my ancestors lived in Portsmouth NH & fought in the revolutionary war. I’m quite proud of it. GO USA!

  11. 90210 says:

My stomach was turning after all the Marysol bikini pics. Ok one is whatevs but all those pics? If Mariah Carey & OctoMom had a baby together it would be Marysol.

That Johnathan Chaban PR guy is like a male socialite he’s everywhere! Known for his Kardashian budding but yea not surprise he’s at the hamptons.

Andy doing drugs? at times he seems so sweet & innocent other times he seems like a sex a holic leather BDSM junkie so drugs wouldn’t surprise me. Besides, most celebs do coke freely now as if it was marijuana on the table. The whole “Free ballin” story & with Cybill Shepard was as gross as I thought it would be.

Ramona’s hubby is lookin a lil ill. what’s up with that? she looks good though. Can’t wait to see her take down the new wives, from the previews it looks like they doing the dishing first but who knows…I know it’s going to take me rewinding my DVR to keep up with the New NYC housewives sexual cougar on Frat boys escapades. Uggh straight young guys love older women… with money..

When I was a a child and we would be “home”(which to my mother was the south east) during this time of year, they always called it decoration day. Now I know this sounds a bit morbid but it was a tradition. We would go to the cemetary and spend the day cleaning up all the veteren’s grave sites and put flowers on the graves there would always be a large group from the family/church/community and after we were done there was always a huge pot luck luncheon wich we would eat there in the cemetary. We always traveled so much when we were growing up and lived so many years out of the country I always cherished these memories.
