NOTE: Ain’t that nice of ol’ Shana to NOT require the purchase of her sham scammin’ book when she’s in her Oklahoma hometown??? As you are very aware, SH is sick of Shana. The only reason to bring this particular article to light on SH is to point out more inconsistencies in her “abuse” story.
Shana states below that her mother left her abusive father when Shana was THREE. HOWEVER…and in her very own words… Shana says that her mother divorced her father shortly after her birth… HERE.
ShanaLynetteHughesSipesTaylorFordArmstrong… “Do I HAVE to go to Oklahoma? I HATE that state…” Simon and Schuster: ”Yes, Shana… an appearance in Oklahoma is mandatory. Your book sales are crap…”
“On the show’s second season, the Armstrongs’ rocky marriage took center stage, and allegations surfaced on the show that Russell abused Taylor. After his death, Taylor confirmed that he abused her – saying in many television interviews that she had major surgery to repair the orbital floor of her eye socket after an attack. She has recently released her memoir, called “Taylor Armstrong: Hiding from Reality,” and will appear in Tulsa for a book signing at 7 p.m. Friday at Barnes and Noble, 5231 E. 41st St.
In a telephone interview, Armstrong said she’s looking forward to her homecoming and reuniting with her best friend from first grade, saying she’s “ready to drive around and let the memories come flooding back.”
But in her book, Armstrong recalls a troubled childhood in Oklahoma – growing up as Shana Hughes in Tulsa, before legally changing her name a couple of times – in a broken home, writing that her mother left her abusive father when she was 3.
After moving to Tennessee and back, Armstrong became a cheerleader at Union High School, but on the inside, she was an insecure teen who leaped from unhealthy relationship to unhealthy relationship – a pattern she said continued through college and adulthood, resulting in her recent marriage to Russell.
She writes in the book: “My whole childhood felt very grey to me. Maybe that’s because Oklahoma isn’t exactly a bright and sunny place. While it’s beautiful in many ways – with its wide-open spaces – it was far from the lush, exotic locales to which I dreamed of escaping.”
This trip to Tulsa will be her first visit home in 20 years. ”The last time I was there was when my grandfather passed; I think I must have been in my early 20s when that happened, and I’m 40 now,” she said. “It makes me sad to think that I waited so long to work on myself on the inside and like who I was, all that time just trying to change myself on the exterior.”
Shana don’t seem at all excited when asked if she would be visiting Oklahoma…
Armstrong said her portrayal on the reality show – which showcases the luxurious lifestyles of affluent Beverly Hills women – was at times hard to watch.
“When I watch season 1 back, that was really the first time I realized how far away from my true, authentic self I had drifted,” she said. “I was trying to be this Stepford wife and put on this face for Beverly Hills standards. I really didn’t like me. I didn’t dress like me, didn’t talk like me … and in season 2, I was a complete and total mess … I felt like I was trying to keep a lid on a pot that was boiling over.” (Shana needs to come up with some better lines! Shana’s “pot boiling” line has become like Tree’s “my parents just got off the boat” saying!)
Armstrong’s marriage and problems with Russell became a controversial focal point on the show when her castmate, Camille Grammer, revealed Taylor’s claims of abuse on camera. What resulted was a series of arguments between cast members, which continued throughout the season.
So does she regret having her personal life exposed for entertainment? ”I think it shows people what it’s like for someone going through something like that,” she said. “I couldn’t keep weight on, I was full of anxiety … it’s challenging at times, but I think because of what happened to me, it’s opened up a public discussion about domestic violence.” (Uh… there’s been a “discussion” and “conversation” going on about abuse LONG before Shana came along…)
Since the show and reunion show aired, Armstrong said women have written to her from “all over the world” about similar situations. She said her mission is to help women empower themselves and feel strong enough to leave abusive situations. (BS! The only “mission” on Shana’s mind is to use her self-inflicted victimization to make some money…)
“I feel like I was left here and my life was spared for me to keep telling my story and to make this a public conversation,” she said. “This is 100 percent preventable.”
Shana’s a MORON… besides being a con-artist, scammer pro…
NOTE: Shana’s book is now #8,189 on Amazon… HERE. While looking for Shana’s stats, came across HagfaceKyle’s and Lisa VanderpumpRump’s stats… Kyle’s book is now #19,506… HERE… and Lisa’s book is now #57,462… HERE.
YIKES!!! All the BH Housewives books tanked… but Lisa’s book had an anchor attached to it!

If Taylor was a cheerleader, that means she was in the popular ‘mean girl’ crowd in high school. Why would they have to go all the way back to first grade to find a companion to come forward? If the piece of trash is doing this to tell the truth, let’s hear if from people who honestly knew the real garbage. Why’d she run away and change her name numerous times? This is not something that just popped up out of the blue.
Where’s Dr. Sophy? He seems to disappeared from being her constant famewhore companion.
There is a “defender” of shana’s on several sites who can’t understand why anyone has a problem with changing her name because “people change their names all the time”.. uhhh ookay.
As for Doc no socks.. there isn’t anything in it for him when cameras aren’t around.
I read an article in some reality mag. that her reps can’t get any agencies that represent abuse victims to allow her to give any of her “speeches”…that tells you something, I guess they are all on to her. On a footnote, thank God you’re back SH…
scooter: my guess is that contributed to the shift to going to high schools to give her speech, because dem high school gurls need edumacated about DV and controlling boyfriends, etc. What high school age girl even knows who the hell she is?? Well, remember how Geraldo told Vyle that his daughter although now in college”is addicted”?? Just hope she ain’t wearing a hoodie!!
It must be Easter because this truly is the resurrection Ms SH is back. Kiss, Kiss, Cross, Cross! Welcome back!
Shana has to go back to first grade to find a friend? Hmm, the folks in Oklahoma must love her as much as the rest of us do.
wow….i did not realize how addicted I was to you Ms SH….its been some really sad days. It just seemed so sudden. Addicts can’t be cut off completely so I need to change my name from SH fan to SH addict. So happy to see you back!
Someone ask Taylor via twitter where to buy her book and she gave them the link to amazon and only bad reviews came up .
when will taylor go away? and i am so glad you are back sh, i felt lost and alone with out this site for a week…
Here’s to hoping a true, authentic Oklahoma Twister comes outta the sky. It would be a sign. *Hoping*
I just read that Taylor has signed her contract for this season. I am also now done with Bravo.
Taylor and Bravo deserve each other. I guess morons stick together.
I will not watch a show with Taylor on it. Big, big mistake Bravo not listening to the fans or the producers on this one. #backlash
I plan to NOT watch Bravo Housewives except for the reunion episodes.
Stoopid Housewives & commentators are much more entertaining!
But I WILL keep monitoring Shana/Taylor anytime she has a book signing and/or anyway I can expose her lies.
Shana/Taylor will be in court vs MMR sometime this summer. I think.
Does anybody know a good way to keep up with the proceedings?
I bet Ms. SH will be on top of it, if it ever happens…I bet they “settle” out of court.
Lizzie, I have to respectively disagree. It isn’t about the money for Mr. Lorsch. Unless Shana can write out a check for the full amount of the action, the court fees and Mr. Lorsch’s legal fees, it is game on.
for: Shana has dropped her motion for ‘protection’ and Bob Lorsch has been deposed. Other than that, nothing really newsworthy has taken place. TFC!! SH
I stopped by the Barnes & Noble book signing tonight in Tulsa. I was actually surprised she had a decent turn-out. Book signing began at 7pm and she left with her entourage about 9:45pm. Her aunt and Kennedy were there also. No, I did not buy her book or have her sign it. Outside of that, SH said it best, nothing really newsworthy.
