Kim says that she fired Sweetie for her own good… and now they’re friends again…
Last season I introduced you all to my assistant and longtime friend, Sweetie. I have known Sweetie for over twelve years now, and she is a part of my family. When I was looking for a new assistant, she was the perfect match! She’s loyal, she’s trusting, she’s smart, and she knows me better than most people. She’s been there with me through three moves, a divorce, many relationships, and so much more. We are so close that it sometimes made a business relationship impossible.
Sweetie began to become a bit lazy, she didn’t seem like herself anymore, and it worried me. The last thing I want is for our relationship to be ruined because of my role as her boss. Because of those feelings, I had to let Sweetie go.
That decision was best for the both of us, because now she’s just my girlfriend. No obligations, not stress. I’d much rather let Sweetie go and keep her as a friend, than keep her and jeopardize one of the most important relationships I have! Assistants come and go but you can’t buy loyalty.
EtiquetteQueen of the ATL, MugshotMarlo Hampton, has learned a brand new big word and wants the whole world to share in her knowledge!! After the language lesson, Mugshot continues on her “I didn’t say the F-word” tour.
This time, Mugshot says that she was utterly “defenseless” at Sheree’s “attack” of her! Yeah, OK, Mugshot… if the Bravo cameras weren’t filming the scene, Mugshot probably woulda whipped out her blade and cut Sheree…
Who was the brains at Bravo who greenlit Mugshot for the RH of Atlanta?? A more transparently despicable Housewife there has never been…

BLEEEEEECH!!!!
Today I learned a new word, schadenfreude \SHOD-n-froy-duh\ , noun: A malicious satisfaction obtained from the misfortunes of others. I learned that when people around you do not mean you well, you must not give them the tools with which they can trip you up.
Some time had passed since my mistake. To be honest, I had hoped that with it all taking place on a different continent, maybe it would not have traveled back home. There I was, all dressed up and ready to play — I expected the evening only to be fun. But Sheree had been waiting. To look at it now, she had it all planned out. She had as fast as she could made sure to tell on me, and like a vulture circling its prey, she had chosen the optimal time to strike — when I least expected it and was defenseless.
I did not want to lie. I wanted the opportunity to explain and to say sorry. But I couldn’t, because she was there, gloating, so eager to bring my mistake to light. I felt ambushed, backed into a corner. Her smiling face was so hateful, so cunning. What strikes me, is that her friend is not even her concern. In her enthusiasm to set me up, she actually delighted in causing him pain, by stating it was him I had directly talked about, when it was not. And as I watched her eyes sparkling with the taste of revenge, I chose to take her sense of schadenfreude away a little bit by denying what happened. I could not, in front of her, so thirsty to embarrass me, admit to my mistake.
I know that Miss Lawrence was hurt by me, and I should have apologized to him immediately. He showed me the courtesy and friendship of asking me himself, and he was willing to listen. For that I love him. He did not rejoice in seeing me stumble. He does not take malicious satisfaction in the misfortunes of others. For that I respect him.
Stop playin yall! She did not write this. Tell the truth!
Lawd … but Sheree was wrong. Dead wrong. Is she in need of a storyline that bad that she’s stooped to being an ish starter earning her new title Run Tell Dat Queen
I like to believe the best in a new person. I cannot ever erase the image that came to mind with Marlo’s callous explanation for using a knife on her friend’s face. Why would Marlo ask us to believe the above drivel? Did she think she would have had some control over the editing? Are we not to believe our eyes and ears? “Just because you say something doesn’t make it true” is what our ex-HW said applies here.
She was ‘hoping that with it all taking place on another continent, that it wouldn’t have traveled back home’…. Umm.. … Isn’t she the one who said she went back to her room and jumped on the phone with ‘one of her gays’ so they could give her absolution? This chick doesn’t even recognize her own lies.
She lied no matter what happened behind “un filmed” doors. So to the viewing public she looks like a liar. I guess that was worth it to not tell the truth in front of Sha-Fake. Whatever. She could have took Lawrence aside and told She-Fake to mind her business. Then she could have told him what happened.
Sheree-the-dull is certainly doing everything she can to stir the drama pot to keep her Bravo job. Very transparent and shine a light into who Sheree really is (you can’t fake the sick delight she takes in watching people stammer to defend themselves from ridiculous behavior. But she is shortsighted; to be known for being a shallow shit-stirrer, nouveau-poor ex-wife, failed fashion designer, ‘Chateau’ builder, etc. is surely not the persona she had in mind. No dignity left, Sheree.
As for Marlo…someone, please send her back to the gutter whence she came. Loud, rude to the quietly elegant South Africans who tried in vain to meet her entitled, pathetic over-inflated ego driven needs, Marlo is was truly The Ugly American abroad. And she isn’t much better here, either. Not even interesting.

This show with Marlo is showing the public especial the going girls how to make honest money. She is nothing but a call girl who is working for herself. She was really rude to the staff at the resorts in Africa. She acted like she was some sort of queen. She probably needed to rest up so she could hit on some more men. The football player was not upping his cash……….humhumhum…….not as good as she thinks it is. People that have money do not travel with all their so expensive items. I would not put it past her to file claims against the resorts, and airline stating they lost some of items.

Sheree chose to tell Laurence on the way to the party. Sheree just wanted to cause a scene at Cynthia’s party. Sheree could have told Laurence long before the party day. If Marlo had made a scene at the party, then people would still have negative things to say.
I think Marlo meant to say “shit-starter”, not “schadenfreude” with regards to Sheree. Putting aside everything I believe to be true about Marlo, I don’t think she’s anti-gay/homophobic nor anything of the sort – just a bit careless and ignorant.
I think both Marlo and Sheree are sh*t starters but Miss Lawrence was right, when one gets angry their true feelings come out. Marlo may not be anti-gay/homophobic (very extreme stances) but she certainly wasn’t using the F-word for the first time.
I need to say this too – I appreciate that some gay men love wearing make-up and high heels and all that…BUT – that has never been a good look on Miss Lawrence, she/he needs to style it up differently, it’s just looks weird!

I am shocked that Bravo let Marlo blog. They haven’t let her blog the whole time and now that the season is almost over, they allow her official blog space. I wonder what is really going on?
Maybe that white dude she brought as a date is the father of one of the producers? Ya know takin a page outa the ole NJ book.
Bravo knew what they were getting when they allowed Marlo on the show and ambushed the other women with her going to South Africa. Now that they got the ratings off her and Sheree blowup, they can keep getting more publicity by allowing her to continue to make a fool of herself on their site. Why let all the other outlets use her for fodder and not get a bit for themselves?
I really hope Marlo has changed but being that she is not really a wive just someone friend I hope she will not be a regular on the show. She does not present a good image. Why would a person get upset over not being invited to a dinner..If she was really classic woman..she would had said that is alright the falls will just have our own dinner.

So is this why Sheree and Ms. Lawrence had a falling out? Seems Ms. Lawrence likes to go where the money is rather than watch the show and see all the evidence. Listening to “stories” told by sad, sad people is just too sad.
I wondered why Sheree and Miss Lawrence fell out too. There is an article from a source Ms. SH sites often that tells the story of Sheree having lovely natural hair that is now all damaged and broken from the weaves, etc. that Miss Lawrence put in. It says Sheree blamed Miss Lawrence for not knowing what he was doing and damaging her natural hair. I believe that b/c Sheree blames everyone for everything.
I’m with you there Trekker, but remember they were like “sisters” so that doesn’t make that much sense to me.
@steview – It wouldn’t make sense to me either if it were someone other than Sheree but Sheree appears to be incapable of having a real friendship and treats vendors horribly. She has had huge fights with all the other women on the show and countless others. Remeber the outrageous fight she had with the party planner guy and how she demands things and then doesn’t pay for them. Although I don’t know it for a fact, I’m pretty sure Miss Lawrence was discounting his usual pricing for her. Miss Lawrence comes off as being honest and reasonable, so I never really understood how they could be such great friend.
That is because she makes unrealistic demands of people and she does not want to pay for things. She almost forces people to do a bad job for her because she won’t accept reasonable timelines, spend the money or accept perfessional advice. I am sure Lawrence tried to convey to her the dangers of not giving her hair a rest but she probably demanded to have it her way and we all know the end result. Let’s have a quick recap of Sheree’s dumb crap.
1.Hired a seamstress to do her dresses sent the sketches and the fabric off never got involved and then freaked when they didn’t look right. Then did not bother to take Michel Knights adivce on the right way to do it cause it involved to much work so she hired Dwight to do all the work and by all accounts did not pay for everything involved.
2.Lost her house
3.got her car repo-ed for not paying her attorneys fees.
4.fight with the party planner
5.I want this old house torn down and my new roller skating rink house built by Christmas! It looked to be about July in that clip, unless you are going to pay for all the extra crews to make that happen so quickly you are almost begging the contracter to cut corners to make that happen.
6.She lost her 2nd. house that she down sized into from the first.
7.Remember in season 1 she said she was expecting a 6 figure settlement from her divorce from Bob Whittfield, well she didn’t get it and she didn’t pay her lawyers either.
I’m sure there is plenty I forgot too. All of that aside Mugshot is still full of poop for saying the F word. Her excuse for shutting Sheree down seems kinda wierd when you think about that name calling, face making , funny high pitched mocking voice fight the two of them got into before she sure didn’t mind going there with Sheree then, I got the feeling that is a pretty natural thing for Marlow.

Marlo is a real piece of work. She didn’t think what happened in South Africa would follow her home? What did she think the cameras were for home movies? And she respects Miss Lawrence b/c he gave her the opportunity to come clean but she lied b/c Sheree set her up and was enjoying it. Well, heck yeah, that is what Sheree does, hadn’t she watched the show before or talked to anyone who has had dealings with Sheree in the past? Keeping spinning Marlo, with any luck you will spin yourself back to Florida and take Sheree with you.
I would have lied too, to wipe that silly ass smirk off of Sheree’s face that instant. Why did Sheree have to be there anyway? To be a witness to some more drama that she started. I say alot of things when I am mad. It doesnt make me a mean or hateful person, Hell I once told my mom to stop acting like a Bitch. Regretted it the instant it came out of my mouth and I apologized and was forgiven. But everyone here so above reproach. I am not a Marlo fan, however I can’t stand Sheree’s ass.
Did anyone notice in Africa when Nene got flowers at breakfast, Sheree was the first one in her face asking about Greg? Marlo and Nene see Sheree’s shenanigans from a mile away and shut that shit down instantly. Too bad Kandi couldnt do the same.
Do you think what Marlo says up there is the truth? That she lied to shut Sheree down?

My Thunker, the truth? No, not completely, I do think she felt bad for lying. But I do believe she lied because she didn’t want to address what she said at that time and at that place and in front of Sheree. She wrote somewhere else that she cried after that arguement with Sheree and called one of her gay friends to tell them what she had said.
Look I would cringe at some of the things people could dig up from my past if I ever ended up on reality tv. But the point is I have changed, my life now looks nothing like my life five years ago. So I am more willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Kim was a gold digging whore less than one year ago, now people treat her like she is the virgin mary. (not here, but Bravo does)

I think Marlo thought she could get away with lying. I think she was so into her fight and is new that she forgot about the cameras. I can’t even buy a vowel from what Marlo says. Did you notice how she turned on a dime after she ditched her date for a bit? She was like a totally different person in front of her date than she was with Sheree. I’m all about adapting, but that was too drastic for me to consider to be legit. Maybe she is just so many different Marlos that she forgets what each one is supposed to be all about? Or her South Africa Marlo was left behind in South Africa?
I don’ think forgot what she said. Marlo chose not to disrupt Cynthia’s party. Of course she knows it would come out when the series aired! Why let Sheree pull her in a senseless argument. The same thing that happened at Kim’s luncheon, would have happened at Cynthia’s party. Sheree doesn’t even like Cynthia or Peter, so why did she come?
It is a handy excuse after the fact. I’m just not buying it! Kudos to you if you are. I am not.
Yeah, unfortunately lying about something you can’t possibly get away with (it was filmed!) is not the way to shut someone up when they confront your with your own bad act. The way you do it is admit what you did, apologize, ask for forgiveness and promise to do better.
Of course, that assumes you are sincere in your regret and hearfelt in your apology, or able to act like you are. Since Marlo lied, she clearly was not. Even if we assume Marlo’s blog explanation, she was more concerned with Sheree’s reaction than with apologizing for her unprovoked use of a bigoted slur against an entire community. Marlo dug herself a deeper hole.

Marlo excuse or not owning up was goofy but HW-goofy meaning it was calculated to perpetuate as much drama (face time) as she can squeeze outa the season. Is Marlo ever gonna admit in front of Sheree’s face that she lied? I wager she wont even give it up come reunion time.
I don’t think that Marlo will be at the reunion. I am totally shocked that Bravo published her blog at the end of the season. We have not seen any talking interviews from Marlo this whole season. We have only seen footage.
Hrm.. Interesting point. She doesn’t really get to explain her side of things. No camera Marlo. Perhaps that is why they are publishing her blog?

@Realgirlfriend – Miss Lawrence asked Sheree to join him and Marlo when he asked Marlo about what she said. Instead of lying to Miss Lawrence’s face, Marlo could have asked to speak with him privately. I agree that Sheree is a terrible person but so is Marlo. It makes no sense to try to defend one against the other, they both are horrible people and need to go.

I lost even more respect when Mugshot said the F word. and Sheree is just a plant from producers and that’s pretty much the rest of her existance besides the child support and house lame dead storyline. Sheree pulling Kandi & Mugshot into those arguments with Lawrence & Kim shows she wants the producers to make her the ultimate HBIC villan. Probably next season that will happen. and at the reunion too. beginning of this season it was about Oh no Nene shows at a party and all hell happens but now it shows she’s not as evil as the producers tried to do and now it’s all about the Sheree being a producer plant and Mugshot being as ignorant as possible

In this April’s issue of “Town & Country” fancy magazine, there’s a good article under “Social Graces” titled “Schadenfreude: The Sweet Smell of Failure: How can the Misfortune of Others Sometimes Bring So Much Glee?” by Joseph Epstein. (I read it in the doctor’s office. OKay?) Is Marlo’s writer trying to tell us that we are Schadenfreuders?
