The Real Housewives of Miami are back for season two… Lea Black and her annual “Blacks Annual Gala” will be back, too!
Lea’s Gala is a huge deal in Miami and is always sold out. If you’re thinking about attending, you need to get your tickets NOW (here)! The Gala is less than three weeks away…
THIS is how a REAL charity/foundation is run!
Lea Black developed the concept for The Blacks’ Annual Gala and The Consequences Charity 15 years ago, dedicating herself to working tirelessly to raise awareness, support and financial resources for children in need. Believing that education was a more suitable alternative than jail for at-risk youth headed in that direction, Lea set out to make a difference and became a “fundraising phenomena” vowing to keep kids out of jail, get them educated and keep them safe. She is revered for her ability to inspire and motivate people to help these kids, the organizations that support them and challenges all of her donors, staff and volunteers to make an impact in their community, beginning one child at a time. Lea believes that one action equals a consequence and that can change a life.Lea is a passionate, outspoken entrepreneur, CEO and television personality whose talents are vast and drive, unlimited. In addition to developing one of Miami’s top annual charity events, “The Blacks Annual Gala” to benefit at-risk youth, Lea balances the roles of CEO for her private enterprise firm, wife to internationally acclaimed attorney Roy Black, cast member of The Real Housewives of Miami on Bravo Network and mom to her son, RJ, while serving as spokesperson for her charity and foundation. The event will kick off with celebrity red carpet arrivals, a cocktail reception with auction items and luxury couture shopping to benefit charity, followed by a four course gourmet fine dining experience while watching extraordinary performances by Grammy winning / platinum selling artists.
The 18th annual charity gala presented by Roy and Lea Black for the benefit of The Consequences Charity, Foundation and a host of other not for profit concerns, will take place at Fontainebleau Miami Beach on March 24th, 2012.DETAILS… HERE.

She is a class act. Loved it last season when a wealthy “friend” and cast member tried to crash the event and Lea invoiced her. Hope she raises lots of cash for those kids.
CJ: Those two crashers, Larsa and Crispy, are gone! TFC!! SH
While Larsa was running through nannies and trash talking and Crispy’s only interest was . . . well, did she have any besides herself? Lea was making a real difference in real kids lives. I liked Lea not only b/c she spoke her mind and was a little kookie (a trait I always like) but I respect the work she does and the time she invests in helping kids who need it the most. I especially liked her invoicing Crispy for tickets to the ball. Gutsy, smart and a bit kookie, gotta love this woman.
Lea has great intentions for her charity and is the reason IMO that she would suffer the indignity that come from doing these HW shows. Unlike the other HW that is starting a “foundation” that is clearly a shell clearly IMHO, Lea is actually helping real people. I have great respect for her and anyone that takes on that kind of responsibility.
You are very much welcomed! Cant wait to see how season 2 of RHOM will turn out.
So far, I like Leah, she doesn’t take any BS, and she just likes herself.
I attended the gala Roy & Leah had when it was in their backyard years ago & Elaine was the performer & emcee. It was one of the funnest nights ever. I’m now living in AZ and it will be nice to see L & E on the big screen at it once again. I wish i could attend the gala but we lost a lot of our money and cant at this time, but bless elaine just the same.
phillip: Welcome! Love to hear first-hand experiences… don’t be a stranger! TFC!!! SH
