LISA VANDERPUMP: LISA’S FIRST INTERVIEW… SINCE THE RHOBH REUNION…VIDEO

POSTED MARCH 1, 2012  10:15 am

                       Lisa Vanderpump…

Lisa Vanderpump gives her her first interview since the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion episode… Lisa chats with her friend from KTLA, Wendy Burch…

Lisa’s friend, reporter Wendy Burch, at the SUR grand opening… partially hidden by Kyle’s huge head!  The guy standing next to Wendy is her colleague, Robert Kovacik… he was beat up at the Polo Lounge… HERE.

…Lisa says that she left town for a week after the reunion show…

WB: Rumor patrol, lots of talks that you have a pilot in the works and that you will not be back for season 3.
LV: Well, the pilot I can’t comment on at all, and you know I can’t comment on so that very naughty and very bad behavior for asking about season 3! I don’t know really….

My husband’s not as in to it as he was because for some reason I’ve managed to fool him for the last 30 years in to thinking I’m perfect and he hates to see me criticized.

After the reunion, I felt blindsided and I went out of town for a week because I really did feel devastated and it wasn’t just the accusations it was the silence of my friends that’s what was really hurtful.

I think a lot of people see these 6 women and they choose a character they identify with and they break it down….  I would watch it even if i wasn’t in it.  (Lisa watching RHOBH even if she were not on it? Oh come on, Lisa!)

Producers of the real housewives have extended an offer to Lisa to return. While she hasn’t confirmed or denied a return next season, Lisa is keeping very busy running two successful restaurants in Beverly Hills, Villa Blanca and SUR.

About Stoopid Housewives

The Real Housewives franchises have become a guilty pleasure for me and I've become intrigued by 'normal' people who would agree to put their lives on television for public display and scrutiny. What are their motives to divulge their daily routines for viewing audiences to approve, reprimand, berate, castigate, attack; basically abuse and judge? Oh, just forget about the above nonsense... the majority of these people are just stoo-pid.

Lisa is so much fun to watch, but I can’t imagine her enjoying Season 3 spending time with the trio of treachery: Kyle, Taylor, and Adrienne. It’s completely understandable that Ken would not want her to be subjected to such ridicule, and abandonment when she needed support. I think that Kyle’s behavior in particular hurt Lisa the most.

    • Flustered says:

I totally agree with you — on everything. And, I’m appalled to think that Taylor will be back.

    • Pompano Ann says:

I would rather see Lisa back than Taylor. Taylor and with respect to her drama was too much and somewhat distracting (dark) this season. I do feel I saw a different side of Lisa for the 2nd season and was not sure about her at times. I think Adrienne is on the up and up and I do feel Lisa has some jealousy issues with Adrienne and I saw Lisa really doing the kiss up to Kyle in a needy way. We have all seen the not good side of Kyle; she in not one of my favorites; Brandi, she was sheer honesty and blunt and fun; and if you recall Lisa was not nice to her in the beginning and in the end admitting how much she liked her; yes Lisa does act like a lady compared to other franchises but I also think there are two sides to her and I would be cautious!!

      • MicaBrown says:

I do not think that Lisa deserved to be “thrown under the bus” by her “friends” like that. With friends like that, who needs enemies? She is much better than they are. She does not need them, especially Vyle and Adrienne. She is much better off hanging out with Brandi and Camille.

  2. I really do like Lisa. I hope she stays.

  3. cewdem says:

Lisa is the reason most folks tune in to RHoBH. She is a lady with class, a huge heart, and a wicked sense of humor…most of all, I sense true loyalty and genuineness….something that seems to be in very short supply among the other women. As hard as it is to believe, I think Brandi comes in #2 with Camille not far behind. Kyle has shown herself to be coarse and common sense this show debuted and no one should be surprised at her behavior. Kim is an accident waiting to happen and Taylor is what is known as a wallflower who is just there and her design is last seasons. The biggest surprise Is Adrienne, but I think her behavior is brought about by envy and jealousy and a fear that what she had or thought she had may be slipping away from her. She needs to take a long look at herself and make changes accordingly (and girl that frock you had on for the reunion was U G L Y!). What’s with all the faces and continual judgment of everyone? Sum total of comments, do whatever you have to to make sure Lisa and her family are back and surround her with interesting folk who can be straight shooters.

    • Flustered says:

Kyle thinks she is perfect. She never admits wrong — and she often is. She needs therapy. A LOT of therapy. At least Adrienne looked remorseful when she realized how badly she hurt Lisa. Well, at least I HOPE that was remorse I saw.

I liked this show when it was fun. I didn’t like the Camille bs in season 1 and I definitely didn’t like the Taylor bs in this season.

    • Angry Oldman says:

I hate to disagree but the reason most folks tune in is the charming Arabian horse wrapped in shiny paper with a big bow: KIM!

  4. Katie2 says:

Unless they are physically removed by a team of Navy Seals, these women are not about to leave these shows.

“Teasing” the audience about their future plans is just another testing the waters for “love”.

These shows have run out of ideas. They are all replicas of the others in one way or another.

Who loves who, who hates who each season is the “hook” to keep the viewers onboard.

Few are buying the Tamra/Gretchen lovefest. Fewer still the Vicki/Alexis “BFFs forever” meme.

Next up: Teresa and Melissa “bond” while Kathy seeks comfort in the arms of the Manzos. Teams form and the stupidity rolls on.

  5. lonestarMary says:

    Really well put.

  6. steview says:

I believe that Lisa and Adrienne see themselves more like colleagues than bosom buddies. I also think that both ladies add a great deal to the show for different reasons. Kyle’s betrayal is what hurt Lisa the most…..Taylor was worming her way between the two of them from the start and Kyle came down on the side of Shana Banana. Lisa will hardly find the same companionship with Brandi as she did with Kyle. Look at how quickly Brandi was used by the producers against her “friend” Adrienne. (the whole Bernie the Angry Chef business was truly producer induced drama IMHO) Lisa and Adrienne are very smart cookies and they would be crazy not to come back just for advertisements of their businesses.

    • Angry Oldman says:

I hate to disagree twice in the same post with a fellow commenter, but I think Lisa would be wise to cultivate the heck out of a relationship with Brandi. Brandi’s sense of humor is very much like Lisa’s if just much less polished and Brandi’s flirting with Ken, prompting Lisa’s faux outrage, is kinda funny. Lisa’s British sensibilities getting offended by Brandi’s American brashish is the stuff that spinoffs are made of. Plus, the way Brandi and Lisa handled themselves that the Sur opening were…..what’s the word I’m looking for…..mature.

      • steview says:

Your right,AOM. Lisa and Brandi are a great duo and their humor will serve them well but Lisa has a sentimental side that Klye filled and I don’t think Brandi can relate to. I think a spin off would be too funny….Brandi and Lisa and their wild times together coming to a TV near you.

      • I absolutely love watching Brandi and Lisa together. Brandi “gets” Lisa’s humor and vice versa. They are fun together.

    • I think Brandi would be a loyal friend to the end if she really is your friend, whereas I think Kyle is a bitch, and a stupid one for turning on Lisa for no damn reason. and her friendships with Taylor and the morally corrupt Faye Resnick speak volumes. Also, Paris Hilton’s revolting new single about drunk texting, especially in light of her jail time for her D.U.I’s says alot about that family’s “values.”

  7. “Beat up” is incorrect grammar. It should read, “he was beaten up.”

    • done: Certainly hope you are not serious. The author (SH) is permitted to take license!! TFC!! SH

    • Robin says:

Blogs and bloggers — like zines (not magazines) — do not need to be grammatically perfect if they choose not to. Blogs and zines are supposed to present a unique, more casual and informal voice. And those who post are not supposed to sweat over spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. either. It’s just a huge community of casual conversation.

      Just my two cents.

  8. BelowSeaLevel says:

i’m cracking up at the male anchor cutting the chit chat short with “we could go all night.”

  9. Coopsta says:

I looooove Mrs. Lisa, here’s to her happiness. I’m not sure if I’d even watch if she were off of the show. I wish her pilot was a go!

  10. meowalert says:

Lisa V is a very pretty woman, in great shape. She’s raised two healthy children who are close to her; is happily married and appears to live in total comfort and luxury. Patrons fill her restaurants for the chance to see her swanning about since she’s become a “TV personality.” I’d say it’s good to be Lisa.

    • Debra says:

I agree. And that’s probably the bottom line–how much more business they’re getting as a result of being on the show. However, I do believe that a person can only take so much criticism and backstabbing, and Lisa may have reached the limit. I’m sure it really made BOTH Ken and LIsa angry that they had used Mauricio as their real estate agent, only to have his snotty wife show her true colors at that reunion.

  11. Jeannie says:

I really like Lisa and can appreciate how she adores little Giggy, being an animal lover myself. She just may be too classy and too nice for this show; however, I do hope she returns! I’m sure Bravo will do its best to display Vyle and Shana in a good light but we viewers have seen these two at their vicious best so it’s doubtful we can be swayed. The only reason I would watch, if Shana returns, is to hopefully see Brandi take her out!

  12. TangyOrange says:

Interesting no interview was done touting the increased popularity of Adrienne’s businesses due to the show. Interesting? Snidely meant hilarious. Being pretty much the same way, I understand Lisa’s dismay with Kyle. Lisa was blindly loyal to Kyle, believing every word about such confrontations as ‘game night’. Most likely, it’s happened many times over the course of the friendship Lisa looking foolish with her blind bulldog defense, while Kyle stood there knowing she had not quite told the whole truth to Lisa.

Lisa had a brick wall moment. No doubt having a flood of memories when Kyle probably lied intentionally putting Lisa in the same socially awkward situation.

    • missingrealityused2bjoan says:

Whatever the basis of Kyle & Lisa’s friendship remains a mystery to me. Having been Team Lisa from the start I always felt Kyle far more coarse and insincere & undeserving of Lisa’s friendship . Bravo to Ken for having his wife’s back. The Todds don’t need the insults or hurt.
I will miss Lisa but hope in a way she’s done w/ the series. Let it end on as much of a classy note as possible. I don’t see her advantage to continuing like Camille.

    • Debra says:

Oooohhh, I forgot about that. I’d be really through with someone if they set me up, the way Kyle did to Lisa, leaving out major details so that Lisa would would take sides with her against Brandi and look like a fool.

  13. Two Biscuits says:

I love Lisa, but I’m afraid to say I think she would probably do better to dip out of this show. Looking back and especially at the reunion they had major (in their minds) bones to pick with her. I think if she just sat there the whole 3rd season and never said a word they would find some type of reason to try to prove to the audience why they were so upset with her, and that she really does do this and do that, and she’s not like she appears. Everyone will be trying to do damage control and I believe expose her or something…..Either they will fakely mend fences or try to throw her under the bus again.

If I were Lisa I would be upset too, but I kinda think it’s time for her to let all of this go and make her game plan for dealing with these ladies in the future.

Lisa’s biggest problem is that she looks at her friendship with Kyle like it was before they started the show. They are no longer just friends. They’ve added fame, fortune, other relationships, the title of “co-workers”, etc. and that adds so many other elements. Now don’t get me wrong I liked Kyle up until the reunion and I know one I’ll work my way back to being a fan of hers, but let’s be real, she and everybody else is out for themselves and that’s the bottom line. I’m sure at this point Lisa realizes that and will probably take on the same approach.

I just can’t see Lisa continuing to be on this show and not being able to have her sense of humor.

  14. Jeangott says:

Lisa deserves better than Kyle. Kyle is nothing but a mean, spiteful person and just as crazy as her sister. I do not trust Taylor nor do I totally believe her story of abuse.the show would be far better if they fired Taylor, Kyle and Kim.

  15. CJ says:

Hope we see Lisa somewhere, but not necessarily being abused by Vyle, Shanna and the Hoof. It appears Camille will be telling the three mean girl adios with bigger and better things in her future. It would be nice to see Lisa do the same.

Lisa, Ken and Jiggy seem too nice and too classy for the trailer trash of Beverly Hills.

  16. Tasha says:

I think it’s odd that Lisa and Kyle were ever friends. Lisa has a sense of humor, and at the very core seems to be a good person. When Kyle told Lisa that maintaining a friendship with her, was like playing chess with Bobby Fischer, and that every move had to be calculated. I felt it was a better description of herself. Since she clearly can be two-faced. I also felt she was projectiong when she told Lisa she was vain. Kyle strikes me as having a huge ego, where Lisa is more self effacing.
