She thinks that Rihanna and Chris Brown should use their fame to help others as well. Taylor says, “I would like to also see them go out there and speak out to young people, they have an enormous number of fans, and they could make such an impact if they went out and just really started talking about this. To see these two superstars to come out and just talk about it openly would be really powerful.”Although she is concerned with the message Rihanna could be sending to young fans by working with her former boyfriend Chris Brown again, Taylor says, “I think that they have a real opportunity here to make a huge impact in the domestic violence world and I think they’re going to do that right thing.”

Apparently it wasn’t the first time for Chris and Rhianna but Taylor should check out who she is talking about Chris Brown has spoken out, several times, about domestic violence, how he now understands how wrong and inappropriate, etc. it is. Plus, I’m sure Rhianna’s people will be with them all the time, just in case.

I’ve never seen or read anything from Rihanna claiming it was an ongoing situation. I agree Chris Brown was 100% in error for assaulting his then girlfriend. I also think Rihanna filing a police report was the very best thing for her to do. It put a young man on notice that he will not get away with abusing her.
Now Shana did put up with the abuse. Frankly, I believe the only reason she left him was her friend said she would be losing her spot on RHOBH. Shana need to live a certain lifestyle voided her responsibility to provide a safe & nuturing environment for her child. I still cringe at her trying to put the blame on Camille for endangering her and her daughter.
Newflash: Every night Shana Taylor Armstrong brought a designer bag, dress or bauble and took her daughter back into that house, SHE ENDANGERED HERSELF & HER CHILD.
ITA that Taylor was the one who put her child in danger, if she were telling the truth. From Taylor’s own actions and inconsistent stories, I think it was a situation where she gave as good as she got. The only innocent in their relationship was Kennedy.
@Lisa – I don’t know how many times but after the big blow out Rhianna’s people leaked to the press that there had been previously incidents. No specific details were released about the severity of past assaults. I do hope Brown has learned the lesson he says he has but the stigma will follow him always. I think Rhianna is a courageous woman in not only reporting it and following through with the criminal charge but in believing in second chances. I don’t think I could forgive, which she obvious has, and reach out to help the man who beat me. Brown’s career has taken a major hit since he beat her but with her public forgiveness he has a chance to regain some of his audience.
Regarding Rihanna: I had a hair stylist in Edgewater, NJ, who also worked part-time for a record company. She had some inside scoop about certain “stars”, Rihanna being one of them. I never liked Rihanna, sorry. I told my hair stylist this when her song came on the radio. This began a discussion about how we shouldn’t believe what he see and hear regarding the DV between Rihanna and Chris Brown. She said, “It’s not all what it seems to be. That’s all I can say about it.” I doubt, HIGHLY, that it happened as they said it did, and it seemed orchestrated to a degree. Yes, he had an issue with anger (I found out that she did too!!), but we’ll never hear the whole story.
I didn’t buy Rihanna’s story from the beginning. You just don’t shake it off and immediately appear in seductive, lewd videos and photo shoots. She had no markings of someone who was abused (psychologically, not physically).
Thats why i was wondering if it was a one time thing, dont get me wrong once is enough but she seems to not have the reactions of someone who had been beaten alot. she filed a report got a tro cooperated and went on with her life. Im not a fan of hers and think she was very disresptful and vulgar on her visit to Northern Ireland

I read that her book was #15 in NYT best seller list. Somebody explained that it is based on the specific genre. So if there are only a few non-fiction books together with Shana’s book (non-fiction ???), they count how many books are sold only in that category and rank them accordingly.
So if Shana buys a hundred copies of her own book, she can be on the NYT bestseller list. Quite frankly, I suspect that this is exactly what she did.
I read that the NYT list is based on retail store ORDERS and not actual SALES of the book….USA todays bestseller list is actually based on SALES of the book….I am sure that bookstore ORDERS were high because the Bravo series is a phenomenon and Teresas book actually was legit(go figure)so chain bookstores jumped on the bandwagon and ordered like crazy…not knowing that the public scrutiny was going to be so vocal…..Amazon is even feeling the pinch as evidenced by the discount they are offering on a ‘bestseller’…….
Oh, and also they don’t count the no. of books returned either…LOL!

Why not a PR person from the 1736 Crisis Center or a Board Certified Psychiatrist who could give their expert analysis and experienced view of the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation? Here’s one reason why: Shana is using the air time to iron out any kinks in her speech which she has prepared for anyone willing to spend the money on her! Pathetic. TFC!! SH

I just hope she isn’t seriously hurting the victims of domestic abuse through her actions. She may be shady, a liar, a slanderer (and I’m not saying she should be forgiven for these actions at all) but I’m really, really concerned that she might be hurting abuse victims with her advice. Just the fact that it appears obvious that this is all a con can make it really hard for victims to be taken seriously. Add bad advice to that mix….disaster.
And I feel so sorry for Russell’s kids, what they must be hearing. And all his other loved ones, this has to be hurting them too. It’s all really quite sad.

So, she expects his two young sons (and her daughter too, but we all know she doesn’t think of Kennedy either) to just get over the horrific way their father died and that she constantly slandered him ON TV FOR THE WORLD TO SEE?
But wait, it is OK for Shana herself to not get over it? Because, she is in the news and/or on tv constantly re-hashing “her story” that is full of lies and changes constantly.
We have to hear her tales of woe over and over and over and over……..why isn’t SHE getting over it?

Yes, she is hurting the victims of domestic violence, for the reason you state. I’m speaking as a survivor. Disbelief is something DV victims often encounter, because so much of domestic violence takes place behind closed doors, and because the victims are subjected to so much debasement and violence that they not only grow afraid to tell anyone for fear of further abuse, but also grow to believe that they are such garbage, no one will believe them. And because the abusers are very good at putting on a mask of normalcy to everyone else.
It’s very very hard to escape, to reach out to other people, to confide in anyone in that situation. That Armstrong is lying about the issue so publicly just makes it that much worse for real victims. Not just that, but the nature of her lies are more harmful than good, more useless than useful. She says her book will save lives, but her book is a tale of a woman who DIDN’T take advantage of the many resources available to her (including a DV shelter), who stayed in her marriage to enjoy the perks of the lifestyle her husband gave her, and who only reportedly came wholly clean after he committed suicide and could not take revenge. What does all that tell abused women: that a little abuse is okay, as long as the money flows in? That the only real escape is his death? That they can tolerate anything for Louboutins and a personal stylist? Her dishonest messages are sickening and unrealistic.
The other half of her message that is just as sickening is that, if you grift and get caught, pretend to be abused and it will pay off. The entire mainstream media is giving this woman a pass, mostly in the interest of appearing politically correct. It’s disgusting.
This is the NOT the advocate abused women need. She’s setting the progress made in escaping domestic violence back about forty years.

It is unsconcionable, what Shana is doing. And she continues doing it without regard for her daughter, Russell’s sons and family. And most especially the many domestic abuse victims who need real help.
I said before in an earlier post, you (I include all you brave women who have been victims of domestic abuse) should be the voice for domestic violence.
Made it to Calfornia~ jetlag is a booger when you don’t stop moving all day! Loving being with my son and his little family. He was telling me that when they returned to Italy after his time in Afganistan, all of the people with family their were swarmed by their loved ones, he and about 3 other people were the only ones returning without anyone to greet them and no “thank you’s” so he and the three other guys looked at one another and said, ” Well, guess we are the losers, lets get out of here”. I told him not so fast, that i had an entire network here on SH with many messages for him, telling him thank you, that he was a hero, His face broke out into a grin and he was very happy to know that the people on here cared about him and his service to our country.
I know this is off topic MsSh but I wanted everyone on here that had a message for him to know that I gave him those messages and he was very very grateful to know that people he had never met, or that I have never met in person cared enough to want to thank him and give him the words of gratefulness that he did not get when he returned to his home base in Italy before coming back to the United States. It meant very much to hear that .
He had two biopsies done yesterday, so finger’s crossed for the best. Appt for the cardiologist is next week.
Now on to Shana: As much as I did not want to see her get all of this publicity, I can’t change it, the most that I can hope for now is that since she is everywhere and her book is on the NYT best seller list that this will get more people curious as to who this woman is and where she popped up from and maybe, just maybe someone like 20/20 or another investigative reporter type of journalist will decide to start digging now that the information is becoming so widespread about the inconsistancies in her story and the exaggerations that make Russell look like he had superhuman strength to take out three people and two pit bulls,
The more she talks the more she reveals, now that she has the spotlight she is just going to keep on telling more tales, bigger ones and ones that she will not be able to back up. Perhaps her fall from grace will be very public, just as public if not more so than the crap she pulled on Russell. Maybe his family, his true family, his children and his friends will get the vindication that they so sorely need at this point. All of this has to be taking a serious toll on his parents and his two sons as well as Kennedy, hopefully everything they have had to suffer since the day Russell’s body was found will finally have a payoff for them by the entire world realizing just how vile, abusive and ugly Taylor Armstrong really is, not just to those that watch the show, but for everyone, everywhere this has been making the news !

gail, when i read your post before leaving and you wrote about the unit he was in, without going into too many details, i knew exactly the team you were talking about (is it team or unit?). my husband and i talked about the bravery of every single person in that unit, so when you wrote that, my heart broke a little for what had happened and tears of pride that you are the proud mom of that young man. do let him know that my husband and i followed this and were touched by his bravery and that there are brave men and women that fight for every one of my rights and freedoms. again, please let him know there are people all over this country that are in awe of him and the sacrifices made by him and his family. godspeed, gail, and praying for all good news soon!

Thank you so much BSL, He was showing me his awards and medals last nite and I cannot tell you how extremely proud I am of him and what he has accomplished , not just in his personal life, but his career in the the USAF. He participated not only in Afghanistan, but also in Operation Oddessy Dawn and one other one I can’t think of right this second, He brought home so many different awards and medals that when he was showing them to me last night, I thought my heart would burst with pride!! But the absolute best expression on his face was when I told him that my friends on here thought of him as a hero and wanted me to tell him thank you!
I think that meant the world to him, it was belated but at least he knows that people care!
Thank you-each and every one of you for giving me the words say to him and to see the glint of a tear in his eye and the huge smile of gratitude that people did and do care !

I hope that you reminded Dr. Drew of an oath that he took at the time that he added MD to the end of his name. Even though he’s a celebrity and doesn’t actually treat patients, it doesn’t excuse him. Shana is still under the care of a psychiatrist because she is mentally ill. Consequently, she is in no position to be offering advice to anyone else, especially in a hot minute. When I am fresh, I will take the time to write him myself and plan on including the following excerpt from the Hippocratic Oath: “I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person’s family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.” It’s sad that the public has to remind a healthcare professional of his/her responsibilities. By supporting Taylor, inadvertently, Drew is affecting the Armstrong family, especially his children.
I am so tired of seeing her face everywhere. I’m tired of her talking and spreading all of these lies. She feels no guilt or shame for what she cost Russell, his family, or her child. I wish she would be kicked off from RHoBH.

I have a growing aggravation with any “news” (tabloid) TV station/show having this famewh*re on to discuss anything. I long for the day when one — just ONE — TV host calls her out on her BS and expose all her lies.
I’m sick about this and want to throw up. I’m writing HLN, Nancy Grace and all media outlets that continue to write about her in a positive way or have her on TV. I hope all of you will too. This farce must stop! I’m so afraid of the harm she’s doing to real DV survivors, Russell’s family and those in abusive relationships. As Taylor puts it quite often: “ENOUGH!!!” I’m about to “go all Texas on her ass” which I bet is far worse than going Oklahoma!

Yes it is a comfort…you have been the anchor or safety net in this terrible hurricane called traylair trash. Being back for season 3 would be seen as a reward for her very bad behavior.
The DV stories these networks report on and the “talking heads” they get to comment on these stories never seem to take on the issues of any “average” person,and what they face , the frightening reality, the pain , the casualities and lack of true alternatives and live saving measures which can be offered to real victims.
Apparently this is not interesting or important enough , but they sure love to use the buzz word DV and any story on DV has to have a tie to what the producers seem to feel is a “celebrity” of sorts. While Rihanna is well known to certain segment in society, the bottom line is even with a cursory view of the stories about DV just on HLN they invovle..Shana ( liar extrodinaire), one of the “teen moms” from MTV, Rianna, and on a segment on the “Family Guy” ( WTH ?) and another “i-report” dealing with “African American Violence”, only because using that terminology in reference about African Americans was using more “buzz words” shamelessly to attract viewers. The only other time this issue is presented all over the networks in all it’s horror if is it is a component in a highly publicized murder case.
I don’t “relate ” to any of that crap. I relate to the needless death of a dear friend, and to the struggle of the “average” person who has dealt with or is dealing with this issue and needs to be aware of what help and alternatives are offered. Sound bites and what basically comes down to the networks faux ass givin a crap about people in this situation and just lovin to promote crap, gossip under the quise of concern is BS.

I’ve heard midwestern farmers are clamoring for Traylor scarecrows after seeing that first picture of her. Traylor scarecrows not only scares away birds, it frightens other animals, insects and diseases. There are also rumors it might scare away the sun, but those are just rumors.

What is disturbing is that she says that it is ok that Chris and Rhianna do a song together because the relationship is over so she is safe. I don’t know of any person who has dealt with DV and the abuser just walks away because you got the balls to finally ask them to leave. Im done with this bitch. If Russell’s family and friends have ANY information that could stop her they need to bring it forward immediately. Why are they waiting? I keep waiting to hear what they’re doing and I’ve heard nothing. I live in Texas and check the papers but nothing that I know of has been printed. What’s the hold up?
He may have truly met his nemesis and been sleeping with the enemy. We see she has no limits or respect when it comes to throwing somethin small or large but damaging in the faces of her friends and family. The family may not be able to fight her publicity machine. I will say from what I have seen most people don’t know who she or the other housewives are and there is a visceral negative reaction to most of them when the shows are on my tv, most repulsed are men.

To see her sitting there, talking about abuse, as if she is an authority on anything other than coming up with stories that appear to be half-truths. I do believe that she and Russell gave as good as they got. Abuse probably did exist in their marriage. But I don’t think it was one-sided.
We saw how angry and abusive she got when she drank. We also saw her training with Adrienne. She was punching and learning self-defense techniques. She was no push over.

MP! where have ya been,? need some of CB’s “Forever” the wedding dance outa Minnesota with those two young folks……i’ll find it here somewhere, like his better, he really seemed to be head over heels with R then……. been taking care of my hubs, had rotor cuff surgery, arm was gone, ALL muscle failure…and BIG AZZ SNOW, went in ditch yesterday, only compensation, “NO BUGS,” although birds think it is Spring here, not yet….. ooooo, lah lah, thinking of Grace Potter…you know her MP….she gorgeous…well, that pix of of ole shanna danna not even trys to convey what a FREAK she is trying to make good on her ugly fug self…….ugh……waiting for Randy’s revelation, where is ms suburbia also, hi to mt, cc/mc, romo,below sea level, and all other witty friends here….smooches from NW MI. No comment on R and CB’s get back together, they make beautiful music, are VERY young and well, we shall see how it goes……. and hello to all new peeps:)
Oh my goodness, that’s a lot to deal with! Is he home now following surgery? Hope his recovery improves soon. Are you all right from the ditch accident? You do have a lot to deal with! Hope things get better soon!
