Dr Drew, I need your help. My cat is abusing me. She broke my arm two months ago, I have a picture of my arm in a cast and I have radiographic evidence of the fracture. Last week she scratched my eye right out of the socket, but I was able to push it back in myself. I was wearing my blue footie pajamas when it happened. I’m afraid that she might kill me while I’m asleep. There is no reason that you shouldn’t believe this, after all, I have proof. I will post my medical report on FB in a few minutes to prove myself to all the haters.

I think she is just very nervous and she probably didn’t have any water or anything to drink. He made her nervous and it shows. I don’t think she was on meth, I seriously don’t. She was trying to talk to someone that treated her poorly and would not let her complete her thoughts.He should have said, it’s okay, I know you are nervous and upset, take a second to collect your thoughts. I am not your enemy, I am here to listen to what you want to say.
And physically she looks like she is in better shape than Traylor.
She is still mourning the death of her brother, I think at times she was trying not to break down. I don’t think by answering yes sir she thought she was validating his response as much as she was waiting on him to get to a point where she could give a response. I wonder how much it was edited? It was obviously taped, where as Taylor got to have the live interview, along with the pathetic taped segment.

Uhhhhh….. Dr Drew, the reason the stories sound EXACTLY like abuse victims everywhere is because Taylor is retelling the stories as her own of victims everywhere. I don’t doubt there was abuse in that home. I also don’t believe any abuse towards Taylor would not have been met met with passive resistance. Taylors explosive, violent rages are documented. To Camille “Outside NOW!!!” To Kim “I’m about to take you out back and go Oklahoma on your ass” There are many more examples.

Well, he sure reminded Laurie that she was a recovering meth addict a couple of times, didn’t he. As if that would discredit her completely. We know know what he thinks of the knowledge and emotions of his addiction patients. He sneers at them with contempt. He set out to discredit her, and Laurie wasn’t as good a speaker as they come. Not like a snake-oil salesman who can pass herself off as a member of the Ford family with her lies. No Siree. By the way Taylor, there is evidence against you that you did this. It is irrefutable. You told people that you were a member of the Ford family in order to gain their confidence and you told them that members of your family had already invested in your scheme.
How friggin dare he call Russell bipolar. Is that what Taylor told him? Again, you take the word of a documented liar for everything.
Even worse, Dr Drew asked Laurie to make the diagnosis.
Asking Laurie to diagnose Russell as bipolar was so far out of left field, and then to make a statement that Laurie had mental illness in her family told me Dr. Drew had gotten an earful from Taylor, and believed every word she said. As soon as Dr. Drew heard Laurie was a meth addict from Texas, in his sick mind he formed an opinion of Laurie, and viewed her with disdain. His publicist reminded us “ladies” he is an “addiction specialist”. Is this how someone who has never denied her addiction, and by all accounts been in recovery for years is treated? His distaste for her was palpable and disturbing.
It must be so frustrating for his family to know how many videos there are of Shanana under the influence of something + behaving in a violent way. Versus the complete lack of evidence that Russ acted like that! Dr. Drew should watch a few episodes.
The only ‘good’ thing to come out of this is Taylor must FINALLY realize how overwhelming the dislike is. In a case like this, the PR would generally dwell on the positive……. “I want to thank everyone for all the kind words of encouragement. Hopefully, we can all work together to conquer this epidemic…… blah-blah-blah”
Instead, no support by even those other HWs. Not even Andy.

Unfortunately, financial theft generally results in financial judgements for the plaintiffs, not prison, due to adept legal wrangling.
In a case like this where the waters are so muddied as to who did what and one of the defendants is dead, this case will be plea bargained down to a minor charge if any.
It’s not plea bargaining… that’s criminal. This is a civil case. It’s in mediation and if it they can’t settle, it’ll go to trial. In this case, it’s a jury trial. Whodoes… posted everything below re: the proceedings.
I read that after I posted this. However, it being a civil case means there is no possibility of any jail time as a defendant in civil litigation is never incarcerated . So Linda’s prediction of Traylor going to prison is wishful thinking.
By the way…..how many women “talk” to DDP about abuse? Maybe about drug use, but he is not an DV abuse councilor is he? Doc’s pretending to be psychologist just annoy the heck out of me.

brooke: According to the CA Medical Board, Dr. David Drew Pinsky is an internist… specializing in geriatrics. Drew took additional courses in addiction and became an “addiction specialist.”

Normally I have a lot of respect for the medical community and really any academic really who devotes that much time and effort to get his/her a degree but in Drew Pinsky’s case I will never refer to him as Dr again(same as Phil McGraw)
As someone who as studied psychology I’d like to point out than mania and depression can be two different diseases. Combined they are bipolar disorder, but someone who has mania does not have to have depression.
It’s a very complicated dx from what I was to understand.
Thanks for making my point brooke….not all docs really know psychology and shouldn’t be portraying themself as one on TV. True psychologists go through extensive clinical training that helps them deal with the traylair types.
Most psychologists are not MD’s. A clinical psychologist would have to get a phD, meaning h/she would study in the liberal arts realm and not the MD/Science realm. A psychologist who has a phD can go to medical school, but most do not. That is why a psychiatrist can write a prescription and a psychologist cannot. A medical doctor (MD) could get a bachelors in psychology and then go to medical school, but most do not because medical school requires a vast amount of science and math courses that a degree in psychology does not require.
Psychologist have training in cognitive behavior where as psychiatrists are trained in dealing with how chemicals react in the body. That is why a psychiatrist will prescribe drugs and a psychologist will want to talk out the situations, making a cognitive behavioral switch. If you came to a psychologist and a psychiatrist with the same problem a psychiatrist would prescribe a drug and a psychologist would talk about steps h/she can take to change their behavior.
Both a psychologist (phD) and psychiatrist have clinical training, but in their separate fields. So an internist would have clinical training in family care, ie, colds, the flu, and general practice medicine.
dr.doo is only going by Taylor’s word, someone wrote in her book that Russell’s mom suffered from mental illness. It was horrible to ask Russell’s sister about that because I am sure that she did not know what he was trying to do. All people change the way they behave when they drink a lot, it does not make them bipolar.

On a side note, I can’t believe how interested I am in this lady. I consider myself a genius in social engineering, so I’m rarely wrong when I pinpoint someone. From the first episode of RHOBH I thought Taylor was unstable and a manipulative histronic woman. I also thought Kyle was a mean girl times 10. I thought this even though the masses of people did not. Now that the truth is out I guess I’m all over it.
I’ve known people like Taylor before. They are the shady street urchines of our society that will do ANYTHING to move up in life. It’s hard to believe someone as aggressive as Taylor was abused. When someone is being beaten they tend to be very passive, wounded, and hurt inside. Taylor does not fit the profile of an abused woman. Sorry.

Brooke, ITA! During Season 1, Kyle was so mean, especially to her OWN sister. It takes some kind of evil to cast your alcoholic sister on a reality show–talk about taking advantage of the sick and weak! Between the two seasons viewers did get to see how phony and insecure the women are–especially when a younger, hotter babe is thrown in the mix. Talk about being “jelly.”
Taylor’s “story” takes it to another level, though. And it goes way beyond Rusell’s tragic suicide. I think it is her lying that is so compelling. It’s like I can’t wait to see what she has the nerve to do next…a car wreck I can’t look away from. But I must…just keep going. Cannot let my hubbie catch me reading SH today!

How incomprehensible it is that you failed to adequately prepare for the Armstrong interview. There are multiple instances where bold inconsistencies, prevarications, and indisputable lies have been documented with photos, public appearances, and Ms. Armstrong’s twitters, which placed her lounging poolside outside the Las Vegas hotel where she was seen by the public immediately after her injured eye incident.
An orbital fracture, as you are undoubtedly aware, results in such tremendous pain. It is unimaginable that anyone could lounge under the bright sun by a pool, happily twittering away the very next day.
Extensive, thorough time lines that have NOT been fabricated, exist in the media such as the Stoopidhousewives.com site (on the masthead) and more recently, in Diane Dimond’s February article in the Daily Beast. They reveal the extent of Ms. Armstrong’s deceptions. This is not the work of “haters”, Dr. Pinsky. This is the compilation of months of dedicated work that was painstakingly done by people who seriously care about domestic violence. I do not hate Taylor Armstrong. Scores of people like me do not like the focus on domestic violence to be impaired or negated in any way by flagrant lies, exaggerations, and the compulsive need for this troubled woman to remain in the spotlight. She was not “thrust” into the spotlight, as you said in your introduction last night. She did everything she could in 2010 to become a member of the cast of the RHOBH! Again, I recommend that your staff, under your guidance, needs to conduct extensive research on the topics and individuals who are scheduled to appear on your show before you go on air, Dr. Pinsky.
I take this issue very seriously because I left a DV marriage 34 years ago. Emotional and physical scars remain, and it has changed me forever. I will always be a champion for people who suffer the brutality and enduring mental anguish of DV.
I do think there was dissension and volatility in the Armstrong household, but I completely believe that Taylor and Russell were both aggressive participants. By no means am I excusing either of them. Time after time on the RHOBH show, there is unassailable evidence on film of Ms. Armstrong being a drunken, physically aggressive woman who struck out, requiring restraint by others, against some women who disagreed with her. (In Season 1, there was a N.Y. confrontation against Kim Richards: “Let’s go outside and I’ll pull some Oklahoma on your ass!!”; at the Malibu Beach party in Season 2 against Camille Grammer’s friend, Dee Dee. Screaming, snarling, accusatory, nonsensical, and scarily psychotic behavior is all there for you to look at, if you so choose. These are just 2 instances which represent the scope of her very evident problems.
You were duped, Dr. Pinsky, and you owe victims of DV a very sincere apology.
Perhaps, as an internist, if you had entered into and completed a residency in psychiatry, in addition to becoming an addiction specialist, you would have greater understanding of personality disorders. It is clear that Russell Armstrong had severe depression (there is proof that he was being treated for it), and it is likely that he stopped his anti-depressants cold- turkey, which is vigorously warned against, due to the dangers of any sudden cessation of these pharmaceuticals . However, going beyond the late Mr. Armstrong’s depression disorder, as you did last night during your arm chair mental assessment of him, you did NOT have access to his medical records, nor did you ever evaluate him as a patient. You accepted Ms. Armstrong’s description of her late husband without question. From the flimsy background material that was cobbled together for Ms. Armstrong’s interview, you obviously did not have complete information about the late Russell Armstrong at all. This is sloppy at best; at worst, what happened last night seriously contributed to the truly rotten ramifications for all 3 of Russell Armstrong’s children, all minors. All of the information which Ms. Armstrong has intently disseminated to the media, before and after Mr. Armstrong’s suicide, has caused his sons, daughter, parents, other family members, ex-wife, ex-fiancee, and friends indescribable pain. Everything about the late Russell Armstrong, from his widow’s account, is now in the public domain FOREVER. In addition to her campaign to desecrate his character, the financial and legal evidence of wrongdoing on Mr. Armstrong’s part is in the media forever, too, particularly the ongoing investigation by MMR. His widow’s relentless effort, however, to constantly disparage the memory of the father of 3 innocent children will cause them lasting harm, Dr. Pinsky. One of Russell’s sons has already been driven to change his name to stop the bullying he has received at school. Think about that! Not once has Ms. Armstrong reached out to those 2 young boys in Texas. Why didn’t you question her about her indifference to her stepsons?
Completely different matter in this paragraph: I am grateful that you exposed the perplexing and terrible plight of the individuals in NY state who have exhibited such debilitating tics, extreme movements, and guttural utterances. The exposure of this on your show has resulted in bringing experienced physicians, researchers, biologists, and environmentalists into the discussion for the search into the origin of this conundrum and potential treatment for the afflicted individuals. I’m glad you have been steadfast in this effort.
Nevertheless, my disappointment with your program last night has made me feel sorely duped by you.
My experience with DV will never be forgotten. Because of this fact, I am fully supportive of women, children, and men who have been similarly victimized. It is a plague in our society and throughout all societies on earth. Shanna Shana Hughes Sipes Taylor Ford Armstrong has done tremendous harm to this vitally important cause with her media addiction fueled with lies, grossly exaggerated statements, and bizarre contrivances which have not benefitted her. Her daughter Kennedy needs tremendous support, and Kennedy’s two half-brothers do, too.
I don’t think I can watch your program again, Sir.

Waves that is a very well put together letter, Hopefully she will see that he gets it, though after watching him bulldoze over Laurie last nite and stand behind Taylor I don’t think it will phase him. The network needs to start receiving letters. That might have a bigger impact on how he acts going forward on this topic.
Great letter-he also should have recognized she was an active participant in any financial wrongdoing and her name changes were part of the scam.

On behalf of Domestic Abuse Victims everywhere, I thank you for this letter! You have managed to capture so eloquently and so accurately my thoughts and feelings on the Dr. Drew interview with Taylor Armstrong.
Like you, when I watched the interview, within the first few minutes I realized that Dr. Drew had not researched Taylor Armstrong at all. The interview was definitely biased and his diagnosis of Russell was wrong on so many levels.
I experienced abuse at the hands of my first husband. I know that abuse victims have diferent ways of coping of reacting and that we all can’t be classified as the same situation. But there are glaring inconsistencies in Taylor’s story, her contradictions, outright lies and unwillingness to offer concrete proof is not the way any victim of abuse would act. If she were truly violently abused as she claims, there would be no need for her to lie, embellish and outright deflect from the truth.
Her motive for all of this appears to be to try to escape the charges that MMR has against her. She was a willing participant in the scam with Russell and now that she is responsible and facing a court date, she is crying victim and that she was under duress. The facts in the MMR case are clear and accurate. All Dr. Drew would have had to do was do his homework and read the facts.
My heart goes out to all of Russell’s children. They are the true victims here. They will need much support and therapy in the years to come due to Taylor Armstrong’s deception.
Drew Pimpsky is a colossal doofus. And his show is low brow idiot tv as evidence of his “news” story about the dude in love with his car.
Like I said before Drew knows that his friend Sophy made a lot of mistakes as a “TERAPHIST” and just wants to justify him by believing everything Taylor is saying without prove.
So now what? Feel like I’m waiting for something to happen; like waiting for a verdict in the Anthony or the OJ case. The damage has been done. A man is dead, his life, his marriage exploited on a television show; his reputation now ruined. The widow succeeded in publishing, then promoting (as a grinning bobble-head) a book to further destroy this man’s memory. The BravoTV network, Taylor Armstrong, EVERY Beverly Hills HW, Andy Cohen and even Dr. Drew (the Tool)……all their names will forever be connected, tainted by this man’s death in my opinion. So what am I waiting for? I don’t want to see or hear that Taylor has hurt herself or God Forbid-someone else. Don’t want to learn that she’s been hurt by someone. I need to ignore the Taylor media blitz, and move on to reading things that actually do entertain me or make me laugh.
I feel ya…I think it’ll all be over for this nut job when she goes to court for the lawsuit MMR has slapped her with. The show won’t want to get dragged in to it and the rest of Beverly Hill is going to shun her as well. Tick Tock Taylor’s days are numbered.

Here are a couple of things that have been bothering me. First, if the eye-punch occured after the big bash where Russell spent $60K on Traylor’s b’day party, and this was the night after she was at the bachelorette party with the chipmunk, but before the trip to Dallas and the trip back to Vegas, from which they flew back for the white party–y’all with me so far–and it was because RA accused her of having hooked up with somebody, presumably the chipmiunk–how the hell did Russell find out about that???
And if he had decided to quit drinking, what was all the talk in the limo on the way to the white party about drinking the whole bottle of c-word vodka and they were gonna have to carry him out, etc???
And finally, how in the world did Traylor endure all that travel and make all those facial expressions when her muscle was trapped in the orbital fracture and she couldn’t look down, nd was in such pain and Russell kept saying she was a drama queen, blah blah blah???
Lisa said she was with the Armstrongs until 1:30 am of the night that the supposed punch occurred. That would have been at the Four Seasons, either Vegas or Los Angeles. So maybe that conversation about the Chipmunks came up then.
But then there’s the Randy Edwards’ story that the accusation of cheating was over another woman and Taylor (presumably Fernanda of RHOOC if her claims are true).
That C vodka was something that Taylor and the other RHO HWs would be a hostess to at the C vodka parties. Maybe Russell was trying to help Taylor promote it on camera? After all, if Taylor said that the abuse was more intense with alcohol, then why encourage Russell to drink up the whole bottle? Also, wasn’t Russell on psych meds at the time? From those bottles that were supposedly in Taylor’s purse with his name on it? Can’t mix psych meds with alcohol…. makes the person more unstable…
Apparently, according to the posters who are more in the know about medical stuff (over at the SH article with Taylor’s medical report), the orbital floor injury seems to have been older than June 2011. So whatever happened, the injury was so old that she seemed to have shown no signs of it externally in June. I don’t know how any part of her eye muscle got caught in the crack though,

So, Traylor has an old eye socket injury, now totally resolved.
She decides to stoke RA by anonomously sending him the chipmunk pic which of course jacks him up and which she can use to try to goad him into givin’ her a pop, which maybe he does, maybe he doesn’t–it doesn’t matter cause she’s gonna say he did. She then makes up the whole scene, or at least embellishes it with total BS, goes to the doc with trumped up symptoms that require the floor repair surgery so she can slide into home (the Sur opening) with an inside the park homerun–mission accomplished!!
Who, do you know if the MMR case will allow some medical discovery?
bsl: She kind of opened the door with her defense of duress and threat of violence. She has kicked it open wider with her “every six weeks” BS. How far a judge will let them go would depend on how well MMR can convince the judge that there’s relevance in whatever medical records they are seeking. In the run of the mill contract action, it would be little to none.
Given that her records may establish a pattern not of being treated for abuse, but of lying about being abused, they may be more relevant. She might even want to put them out there, now that Nancy Drew has added the MPD layer on there!! And of course that would be an additional reason for the protective order–especially if they revealed other senstive medical information.
I thought that it’s going to trial which means that ‘discovery’ is over. The duress/coercion spin is probably going to be her defense. If a bunch of people can figure her out on a blog, rest assured that the attorneys for MMR are more than ready for it. Remember, she has no money and everything and I mean everything that she is earning is going to go to the attorney defending her in this action (I know – I was married to a litigation attorney). $300/hr minimum and probably more plus costs and expenses. MMR is going to bury her at trial. There is a website in which you can look at all documents in the case but it’s subscription. If MMR wins and receives a judment against her, she’ll appeal (more $$). They know that she ‘currently’ doesn’t have any $$$, but any award will go against her future earnings. Don’t take this wrong, but Russell really stuck it to her, and it couldn’t have happened to a better person.
I’ve kind of thought (quietly until now) that it was Russell’s final “screw you” to Taylor by killing himself. They got in to this thing together (MMR and other dealings) and when the going got rough, he saw Taylor getting ready to throw him under the bus. Sad that he may have felt like suicide was his only option in stopping her.
This is just my thoughts on the matter…
vegas: The motion for protective order is being argued Feb 23. The status reports filed back in November only show that Traylor had scheduled the deposition of the Plaintiff and that was supposed to be December 5. The duress/coercion thing is her alleged factual defense. She also pled that the damages clause (the 1.5 million) is a penalty and is not related to actual damages and should therefore be stricken. That “subscription website” is the county court website and they appear intent on balancing Los Angeles’ budget on what they charge just for access!!!
So, would the duress allegations allow discovery for her sessions with No Socks? Would it be difficult for plaintiffs’ counsel to get included all of her medical records to support abuse? It is sounding convenient that the medical records of No Socks would support any allegation she has/is making. I spend time with a litigator
and I’ve known of cases to suddenly go away or settle when opposing counsel says, “You know this will open up your medical records; right?”
Oh, so they are still in discovery process. My bad, I thought that it was going to trial in June. I was referring to PACER – attorneys use it. Regardless, she has a tough hall financially and is pretty much running out of talk shows, lol.
Vegas: Anyone can use PACER. If you have a cc, you can use PACER… and that goes for any of the legal access sites. TFC!! SH

Relative is right. Personally, I wouldn’t spend a dime researching Shana. Must be the monthly subscription rate. Had a friend who used it for stock market-related stuff, and I thought it was few hundred/month. I’d rather buy shoes…..
I always assumed that bottle was a prop (and PR for CIroc), part of that painfully awkward speech they were reciting in the limo. Why would they be talking about what “a blast” they had in Vegas if he was busy knocking her around for cheating on him? All scripted by our friends at Bravo.
Maurice was sure to carry the prop, er bottle, into the party. And with it he carried all the endorsement money Shanana could have earned had she not gotten kicked off the show!
I have a theory on the Ciroc Vodka scene in the limo. It’s a fact that Ciroc was partnering with Bravo to host a New Year’s Eve bash with Taylor as the hostess. I believe that Russell and Taylor were directed as part of that agreement to mention the Ciroc Vodka in that scene as product placement to drum up interest in the Ciroc the New Year bash with Taylor.
That whole scene with Russell and Taylor in the limo and Russell holding the Ciroc bottle and saying “we’re going to drink this whole bottle.”.
It just seemed so scripted to me and phony. And, many viewers wondered why, after Russell and Taylor were asked to leave the White Party, that Mauricio was shown carrying the vodka bottle into the house. Again, more air time for Ciroc Vodka. When they aired the promotion for New Year’s Eve, they hit the airwaves hard. All we saw were Ciroc The New Year commercials featuring Taylor for weeks.
Did you catch the end of the 1st video where Taylor’s “statement” says “today, I provided medical records from two SURGEONS to a major media outlet…?” Is she referring to the single radiologist report she put up on FB? The lady doth protest too much!
One way to tell when people are lying, is they add too many unnecessary details. The detail about the pizza with vegetables, the medical jargon “orbital floor blowout” and titanium mesh implant”, and over the toilet. All unnecessary, and Taylor felt she needed to add them to make her story convincing. If you tell the truth, over and over, you don’t need to convince people. If you don’t make outrageous claims, people may believe you. If she just said, she was physically hurt by Russell on several occasions, which I think was going to be her original claim, people might believe her. When she chose to make outrageous, unsubstantiated claims, people caught on.
Taylor has conned so many people over so many years, she’s truly shocked and perplexed people don’t believe her lies. She was able to ignore it to a point, until she went on her book tour, and now she can see people aren’t buying what she is selling. She then does what all sociopaths do when cornered, blame others, and deflect the heat off of her. She can’t keep it up forever, her circle of support will get smaller day by day.
Ya know, this whole show pissed me off. I mean c’mon, Dr. Poo (Drew) gave Taylor a whole hour and Taylor is used to being in front of a Camera, matter of fact, Taylor Loves to be in front of a camera and Laurie did look nervous, plus she had to try and remember all the points she wanted to make and I feel Dr. poo was being harsh on her….Sorry, he was trying to make a fool out of Russells sister and all he managed to do was make a bigger fool of himself!!!!..I really hope people make sure those X-rays and medical documents are not fake and frauds just like Taylor!!!
Dr. Drew is a quack doctor. I hope one day Shana gets what’s coming to her. You can’t go around telling lies and doing evil deeds and not pay for it. She’s trash.

According to Martindale Hubbell, he’s with a pretty good firm with a long list of well-known business clients.
