Kit, Billy and Taylor Armstrong aka SHAFT… “Well, no one can pin the blame on me, so uh… NO, I did not kill Russell.”
SHAFT from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had a chat yesterday with Access Hollywood…
Billy Bush and Kit Hoover try their best as (excuse me while I hide my laughing…) hard-hitting non-biased entertainment ‘journalists,’ to make SHAFT squirm with their questions. Well, at least they were a bit better than the Dr. Phil interview… and they did ask SHAFT why, after Russell’s death, didn’t she stop the storyline.
“Taylor explained that the suicide of husband Russell Armstrong, whom she was divorcing at the time of his death, is something she still deals with every day.
“I spend sleepless nights trying to figure it all out,” she said. “I haven’t been able to put all the pieces together, but I think there were some bigger things at play… I’m gonna talk about a lot of it later.”
“On the show?” Billy asked. “No, just in life,” she continued.
SHAFT also made it clear that she now knows her purpose in life… and that, of course, is to be the spokesperson/role model for domestic violence.
SHAFT also said that she is now focused on getting strong… as a woman! WTH!?
Note to SHAFT: Uh, who the hell is supplying you with your information? YOU… as a go-to person for the subject of DV? No one cared previously about your views on DV… and they STILL don’t care! And what is with the ‘platform’ that all Housewives are now required to have? When did Bravo turn these franchises into a Miss America contest? AND… what is with all the ‘strong women’ talk outta SHAFT’s mouth? She admires strong women, she wants her kid to be a strong woman… really, what the hell does that even mean? AND… when was SHAFT NOT a strong woman??? She proved she was a strong women the entire first season of RHOBH! She was taking boxing lessons with Adrienne and was out to kick everyone’s ass. If she was battered, as she claims, for the six years she was married to Russell, how/why did Russell permit her to even agree to do the show?? Don’t battered women need permission from their husbands/boyfriends before they do anything? None of what she says makes any sense…

I dont know about anyone else but when i look for role models I look for people who actually pratice what they preach. Taylor wants the world to view her as the typical abused wife when she isnt not even close. Most Women do not have multi million dollar hoses offered to then to hide in she did, most abused women do not have the mutitute of resorces she has Taylor had freedom money,job and family to help her she had oppertunty to pick up the phone call the police (abused women often are to afraid to ) Taylor showed no fear of Russell or her situation. Taylor Is no role Model i would look up to even if i believed her story …Women like Nancy and the others who post her who have shared there storys are true inspriation and role model not Taylor not even close I cant imagine any women who would even consider listening to Taylor or anyone says

No need for sympathy here although it is appreciated. I ended up a stronger person and didn’t have to struggle financially like most others do or look over my shoulder for the rest of my life. I have a wonderful life now better than I could have dreamed possible. My point is that most abusers isolate you from family and friends telling stories to alienate you from them. They are wonderful liars. I don’t see any of this in Russell. .

Are you implying that, because of her financial and celebrity status, that she is LESS abused than other women? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, and I am NOT a Taylor fan. My husband and I watched the 1st season of BH and from the beginning said to eachother, “that man probably smacks her around.” It was clear to me that at best, he was a controlling husband. And sorry, but if he wasn’t abusive then why kill yourself? why not wait for her shitstorm to pass and come back on her, as it always does? She’s wacko, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t abused. Nor does her “I’m gonna go Oklahoma on your ass” comment. Many abused women tend to become overly aggressive with others as an outlet since they can’t/won’t fight back with their husbands. Did anybody watch his ex-wife’s interview? When asked if she believed that Russell was abusing Taylor, her response was, and I quote: “Not to the extent to which Taylor claims.” Ok then, to what extent? She put her foot in her mouth and I can’t believe nobody noticed.

No, it’s not that she had “stuff.” It’s that she had RESOURCES (money, DV agency) and a SAFETY NET (DV agency, friends, the public eye), and chose not to use either as a means to “escape.” SHE defrauded and deceived her husband until the timing was right so that she could caplitalize to the fullest extent with her own “plan”: writing a book and setting up a “duress” claim as an affirmative defense in the fraud lawsuit against her and Russell.
Through the deceitful, fraud-filled planning period, she kept her helpless little daughter in a supposedly-”violent” home. Nurturing, protective parents–people with empathy and rational fear–don’t keep their CHILDREN in harm’s way for longer than one second after they become aware of that harm.
I think most of us are under the distinct impression that the two of them abused each other.

There’s also the problem of her inconsistent statements. For one, a broken jaw isn’t something you can hide or recover from so quickly. Every time we see this cow she’s screeching or laughing with her mouth wide open. She made a claim about Russell throwing her up against the wall for serving his sons pizza without a vegetable. Someone elsewhere pointed out that a VERY SIMILAR tale was told by a person named “Maya” on the internet. Add to that last season’s big lies: Adrienne/G-Mother & being the obvious instigator of the trouble between Camille and Kyle. I can’t remember where I heard it, but a psychiatrist on TV stated (possibly Dr. Drew) that if you catch someone in *3* lies–steer clear, they are obviously LIARS.

MP, that’s exactly where she got it! I remember times like those (as a kid)… in fact, I called the cops (when I was 5) because my parents were BOTH going at it. My mom was no wilting flower either so they were both giving as good as they got while we got to watch and hear. Trust me… if that same pizza incident had happened with Russell – our little trailer trash HW would’ve slapped the ugly right outta Russell. Or should I say ‘gone all Oklahoma on his @ss’?

Just thinking of the battles my parents got into, I can not imagine Taylor crying hysterically (without tears) and cowering in a corner. She’s far too mouthy and delusional. Hi MP……I already love you bunches; you and your divine humor and now I see that you evidently had as delightful a childhood as I did.
My first memory is of my father smashing my mother’s head against the bathtub trying to knock her perfect teeth out of her perfect face. Her story was brimming over with sadness, pain, loss; a tragic figure indeed. But she could give pretty good herself and was a provocateur extraordinaire. We could be having fun, laughing and playing outside with friends but on the days when daddy dearest didn’t close the bar and instead came home for dinner the friends would quickly disperse as soon as he pulled the car into the driveway.
I was in a state of perpetual angst and dinner was an ordeal that went on for hours as I gagged on my food, tried to feed it to the dog under the table and made numerous trips to bathroom to flush mouthfuls of food down the toilet. It takes a lifetime to overcome such a childhood but as soon as I was able to I put thousands of miles between me and them and in spite of my hideous beginnings, I managed to have a very interesting life.
SHAFT is a lying sack of doggie doodoo. Not for even one second do I buy her story of abuse. She has shown us all that she quite easily falls into the role of perpetrator of violence to her fellow cast mates. I imagine that she and Russell had physical altercations and while I don’t believe that it’s ever okay for a man to strike a woman it’s most likely that she victimized him as much as he did her. I can’t stand the woman. Everything about her bothers me. I find her visually repulsive and when she opens her mouth and begins to speak the sound of her voice grates unimaginably on my nerves.
Let us hope that her true character will soon be revealed for all to see.

She played a substantial role in swindling many people–a lot of whom are elderly–with the MMR scam. Her histrionics are beyond the pale. She is a narcissistic sociopath. She was relishing away in Oklahoma waiting for the world to see her and love her. Now I love me some Nene but if Nene is her new BFF then I won’t need to watch RHOA anymore. Last year I had to stop watching RHONJ mid-season and I think I need to find me a new hobby, I will better off if I take of knitting. Russels atty said that none of his credit cards were working, yet I heard that Shana racked up $80,000(?) charges in the weeks preceding the divorce or suicide…..something like that.
So . . . which one of them was controlling the money? You know how much money I had access to when I left an abuser? Yep: Zero. That’s the first thing that the abuser takes care of when there’s a threat to leave: even the little grocery allowance disappears.
I worked for my ex so I was totally screwed. Everything suddenly went into a trust and I couldn’t touch it. Suddenly the bank paid all our bills. Finally I talked my Ex in to letting me have some dental work done. He wrote out a large check to the dentist for a deposit and then I cancelled the work and I picked up (not mailed) the returned deposit made out to me and I was free. Hid in a hotel until the Lawyer had every thing filed. I was terrified every moment.
Wow that was smart thinking. I have a good husband I work for him too so I can see the financial peril I would be in if he was a jackass.. but he’s not. Anyway its good that you share your story cause there is prolly women reading this that are in that situation looking for practical tips to get out and it all starts with money.
Your story is the one that should inspire women and give them Hope and teach them to be smart and think ahead.

I’d have to check to be sure if CA has this law, but I’ve seen the law in other states (Florida is one) where you cannot fire someone for the presence of domestic volence. Hypothetically though, even if CA has that law, the reason for terminating Traylor wouldn’t be because of the presence of DV, since the “abuser” is dead (RIP). Thinking . . . why would Bravo not fire her?
They dont have to give her a reason to fire her. I am thinking that they haven’t fired her yet for the same reason that they didn’t pull the footage. They have no scruples(allegedly)They wanted to milk all the mainstream publicity they could out of it which would turn into macabre viewership=ratings=money. What I think would be REALLY cool is if our country enacted a federal law, that compelled companies to sue abusers for loss of wages and related expenses that result from violent acts against their employees. Something needs to be done to stop these Neanderthals.
There was no one that believed me when I came out and dialed 911! It took years for it to unfold. You have to understand abusers are master manipulators not the victims. The one thing I had was proof because I went to the hospital and called the police. Being believed wasn’t the issue living was. Please give me a break if Taylor was abused she made a deal with the devil for money. You will never convince me that someone that had access to money, Family and friends offering help and sat on the board of a shelter didn’t have any other choice than to stay. She frigging doesn’t fix in the box because it wasn’t GUCCI!

MS E I am not being uncaring but the first thing I had to learn is that I played a part in what was happening to me by the choices I made. I didn’t have access to our money and I had no family (parents died) living in a place I did not know people well. It took me 5 years to leave but I made sure my children were away from harm as soon as I could. I didn’t deserve to be hit and that was minor compared to other things and neither did your mother. I made choices that made the abuse possible and I can’t deny that. Does it condone what my Ex did NO.

I completely agree. As a survivor of violent attack that left me permanently disabled and nearly destroyed my life, I feel that Taylor is empowering abusers with her phoney stories. Even the women who know her and knew Russell personally (especially Kyle her good friend) have questioned her honesty.

I put a ocean and a continent between me and my ex and never saw him again I did speak to him but once he became verbally abusive I stopped . saw him on FB recently he hasnt aged well and never remarried had another kid though that babys mama contacted me once through FB he had abused her as well but she left after the first time.

Do y’all really think that after her father committed suicide she should then quickly be taken away from her mother? You sound like my precious, good-hearted daughter who wanted to be a social worker and then came to me a few months ago and said she didnt think she could handle being a “baby snatcher” nor could she handle the anger she would feel toward parents that refuse to get their crap together. She isn’t even aware of the bureaucratic rigamarole that social workers have to deal with. So needless to say I support her decision to be “undecided” at this time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will mention that to her. Truthfully this last year has been all over the map with her in terms of direction. She still wants to join the Army. The social work idea came from a recruiter advising her that families of deployed service members need help and she was really interested in helping that capacity. I support that too. But for now she is starting college and she might find sumpin else that strikes her fancy so… its an exciting time. Either way i want her to love what she does.
Awwe i work for the Army heath care system and YES THE Army needs good SW the VA sysmtem to.
Well its still not off the table. I am hoping if she goes in she makes a career out of it and therefore can help servicemen and women and their families.
Suggest that she be a psychologist and child-custody evaluator! Then she can really make a difference, work for herself, and do advocacy of her choice.

I agree with MP here too, even though I think your’re kind-hearted and sweet (and maybe idealistic), MyT. Traylor is doing so much damage to Kennedy on a daily basis. Traylor is incapable of nurture and attachment, which are critical components of self-esteem and success in all aspects of life. Kennedy’s doomed with her mother, but may have a fighting chance if taken from her. The only hope for that is if Traylor goes to prison though.
I feel for Kennedy But no she shouldnt be taken away But I do think taylor needs to be more careful about what she says about Russell I hope she isnt filling her head with crap about russell its bad enough she will grow up and Google the stuff her mom already said.
This is a really sad situation – I believe that Taylor is a true scammer and she knows how to play the victim – she is a pro. It is sad because there is a child involved and a dead man – and also all of the people that they conned money out of. I think the abuse story is a big coverup – she was afraid that all of her lies and dishonesty were going to come out. Why is the media buying this crap? Why aren’t the people who lost money coming forward? There should be more public outrage, more investigation. The vodka people did not do their due diligence when looking for a spokesperson. Bravo let her slither onto the housewives show. I want to know what is going on with the law suit – I also read someplace that she was broke and needing Russell’s life insurance money, I hope the insurance company is doing a complete investigation. Bravo needs to take her off the show immediately – she is a big bully on top of everything else. The way she acted at Brandi’s party was horrendous – she is no shrinking violet and if Russell did beat her, I know she fought back and probably won – more than she lost. I despise DV and my heart goes out to all of the true victims – I do not – for one second – believe that Shana is a victim.

THAT WAS SUPER SMART THINKING. I took out a line of credit for $10,000 and left, knowing after the house was sold it would be paid off. He had been controlling all the money and even signed back over the practice we bought from his dad 2 years before I moved out. He and his dad had conspired and I lost the $300,000 we had put into it. He had stopped paying his dad 2 years earlier, so his dad could claim it back…found out about this in court. At leats I got enough money from the house to pay my attorney and the line of credit…I did find out that he had run up $40,000 in credit card bills on accounts I didn’t know he had.
Taylor was deeply invovled in all the finances and financial meetings. She signed checks, put them in her account etc.

I just watched the clip from Taylor’s interview and noticed her annoying eye closing thing she does – yet again!
I just went to a website on body language and here’s an interesting tidbit on their interpretation:
Closing the Eyes: Closing the eyes shut means, that a person is shocked or horrified of the scene in front of him and doesn’t want to see it. It can also mean avoiding or ignoring another person, during a conversation.
I vote with the last sentence, as she usually does it when she doesn’t like the subject matter being discussed.

She has given me pause yet again with this “reaction to a video”. I read that she actually said something like …this could have happened to Kennedy…..wtf, when did she make THAT leap. She left Kennedy with Russell all the time and has said that Kennedy was never in danger, he never abused Kennedy, yap yap yap. Then on the other hand she screams that Camille put Kennedy in danger, sheesh, this lady better start taking notes to refer back to.
That video also touches on a bit on my theory that these BH producers have been working on the demonize Russel storyline since the very beginning. Check out the domestic violence benefit scene… notice how the camera angles from Adrienne seeming to glare at Russel(she could have been looking at anything) to Russel playing cards.. with Adrienne’s voice over about Traylor’s abusive childhood. Its all in the angels and the editing, its subtle but it’s there. Makes me wonder SHAFT hasn’t been dilly-dalling with a producer?? Resulting in producers attempts to social engineer the viewer into believing Russel abused SHAFT. Are we even sure that a producer didn’t help her “discover Russel’s body?” I am not sure of anything at this point.
Now the pap footage of her in that backless dress with the frilly train high as a Georgia pine….correct me if I am wrong but I dont think that is Russel’s hands diggin her dress out of her butt crack. Moreover..who was that creeper? And again… would an abusive dirtbag let that act of public indecency go unpunished? I think not.
It is funny that Adrienne wasn’t aware of Taylor’s childhood abuse since they’ve known each other for so long, been so close, and Adrienne is Kennedy’s godmother…….oh wait, those were lies.
