The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Reunion Show was included in Wendy Williams’ Hot Topics segment yesterday.
Wendy says that she was ‘angry and confused’ after watching the reunion show. (Weren’t we all!?!?) Wendy also wanted to know more about the Caroline Manzo/Dina Manzo falling out… and the apartment above the Brownstone. (We’d all like to know more about all that…!!!)
Gotta agree with Wendy… Tree DID look the best outta the NJ bunch!

SH Your dog is so cute! We live in the country and see wild turkeys sometimes..they can run fast when they want to. I agree with Wendy about the Manzo’s Brownstone apartment mess. We’ll never hear the whole story though, Bravo is too far up the Manzos’ butts for that.

Ms SH your pooch is precious!!!!! I love pups! They love ya no matter what. I agree with you. I thought Tree def looked the best and I was PO that Andy was so hard on her and not Don Caro when she has her own family drama and secret apartment above Brownstone. Andy just glossed right over her explanation and that was it. I had more questions than I got answers. I know Tree is no angel but I did feel bad for her that everyone has turned on her.
I like Wendy. She’s like SH. She doesn’t play favorites, she can be all over the place with the shade, but you get an honest (less packaged) opinion.
Do you ever read other blogs and think, “nothing on this earth could sway the blogger that so and so is in the wrong”. They play serious favorites. If they love Kyle, then they love her- even if she killed Mickey Mouse and canceled Christmas. If they hate Teresa, then they hate her, even if she solved world hunger or…I dunno…bought the world a coke.

Can someone fill me in, when Wendy says at time 45 seconds she didn’t know Albert ‘worked at a water company and lost his job’… Did he? Isn’t his full-time job at the Brownstone and always has been? I thought the scandal was how he lost his position on a commission that oversaw water supply for the state of NJ (and said his main residence was the Brownstone even though he lives in Franklin Lakes)?
You’re right Sharon. At least I think so (without googling it). The info I recall is that he held a public office, got paid for said office, and managed to get this office by convincing the taxpayers/hiring peeps that his residence is/was the Brownstone
So who was it that hired him? or was this an elected position?
I am also curious about this office. What duties was he to perform? Did he perform them? Other than the salary for said position, were there perks? My opinion on Albert rests in the details.

He was an appointed commisioner of the water company…sort of a public board of directors. They set the pay for employees and dole out money when necessary..He was appointed by a previous governor, (Corzine I think) and Christie naturally wanted his own commisioners in place…he was ousted for living outside of the district which he applied to be a commisioner for( Passiac Valley)….He used his address at the Brownstone as his primary residence but actually lives in Bergin county and was busted by Christie when the show aired which showed he lives in that McMansion doesn’t sleep at the Brownstone as he claims… Caught in a bold lie…Jersey doesn’t want one person collecting 2 state pensions…

Exactly…Albert was paid alot of money for being a commisioner…not to mention the state paid car, conventions, trips, medical benefits,political perks, etc etc etc…Funny how me managed to be a full time commisioner yet is seen being filmed each day running the Brownstone…lol.Want to do some great reading?..Google Tiny Manzo…Alberts and Tommy’s father and Caroline’s in law…..He was the owner of the Brownstone and was a mob associate( non made member)… In the 70′s early 80′s also ran a illegal casino in Statin Island with a made mobster named Campisi ……They were caught (alleged, lol) skimming off the top and Tiny was found naked, shot 4x execution style and wrapped in plastic in the trunk of his continental in a supermarket parking lot in Hillside Nj….Caroline…”Nah…we’re not a mob family”…they resent the implications…ROFL..Put the pieces of this puizzle together and the picture gets pretty clear on how they (and this show )came to being…
Oh…and as commisioner, he could hire anyone he pleased at any rate of pay he deemed appropriate..Six figures after 3 years is the norm..unlimited O/T, you get the picture…You will never find someone who works for a state authority ..Parkway, Turnpike, Port, Water, Utility, you name it…that didn’t get the job thru a contact or family member…Many didn’t even interview, they were automatically hired and never vetted..That’s the way Jersey rolled…Christie has cleaned alot of it up, but it’s a long way to go yet..
Thanks for all of the comments – this really is the site to get all the answers! Wow, that’s a lot of perks that go along with the job, like a state paid car and trips? So people are just sort of appointed, it’s all based on ‘who you know’… Production films so much and yet, so much is left out. My biggest complaint with the whole Housewife franchse is that there are these off camera undercurrents and major legal issues and we have to piece it together somehow on our own. Maybe these shows are more like half mystery and half reality?

If the Manzos used a single penny of the taxpayers’ money for medical treatment during his appointment, I wish that they’d have been made to refund the citizens of NJ. He was (allegedly) collecting a state pension, too.Gov. Christie filed to fire Albert — and followed up by giving him a cut-off date to leave his position or the gov’t would be filing ethics charges against Manzo. Albert resigned to avoid the legal mess. Andy Cohen could have asked Caroline the same questions he put to Teresa about her husband and serious charges the gov’t could pursue. Of course he didn’t. But I have a feeling that out of all of these messy “Housewives” and their assorted collateral damage, Karma just might come down the hardest on Andy Cohen. (Love your dog and wildlife, SH!)

Exactly. Which is why it was so ridiculous when she said to Tre “what would I have to gain form tearing your family apart?” Sit down. You know what you have to gain and it’s a reality show and a karaoke career.
