Andy took one for the team that night. The real target of her rage should have been MeGo and the producers.
As a Jew, I took offense as well. What an ignorant stupid lie for her to come up with. No way in hell did she ever have any “Jewish friends” tell her that they would leave their husbands if the financial going got rough. She fabricated that crap in order to make her herioc statement that she is not about money but is all about family. Because, we all know, Jews are greedy and all about money, right? But no, not her. Disgusting. In some desperate attempt to prop herself up, she just threw out an ugly old stereotype. I can’t believe in this day and age, after everything that happened to millions of innocent Jews, that anyone could believe this propoganda and repeat this. To anyone who thinks it was a harmless comment, I say it is the equivalent of her saying that her “black friends” told her they’d go on welfare. Stereotyping blacks as welfare abusers is as assinine and disgusting as saying Jews are greedy and would throw away their family over money. Teresa gets no pass from me.
And she’s not this poor little ignorant child getting bullied either. She went after Danielle like a pit bull at the fashion show, and was all over her like a wild animal at the reunion. Teresa got a taste of what she dishes out. Ganging up on her, I’ll agree is wrong. But I feel no sympathy for a vicious bully like Teresa who got to feel what she does to others. Maybe, if she has any character, she can learn from this and move forward a better person.

Im starting to think that Teresa has no plans of staying on the Real Housewives after this next season and thats why Andy went after her. Usually he tries to keep the housewives happy, I was actually impressed by his performance. If Jax goes to the next reunion i expect him to go after her too.

I wondered why there was this strange focus on Greg and why he was even on there in the first place! He’s so out of place, it’s ridiculous, and with everyone on the show lauding him with fear-induced praise while he snipes at Teresa to pit her against Melissa – something was very, very fishy and very obvious about that.
Maybe he could have been worse, but he definitely wasn’t objective

I agree with what Mark said. He shouldn’t have made her repeat the “distant” thing. Andy KNEW what she was saying. It was as if he was just picking on her for the sake of it and it came across as a cheap shot.
I really thought it was f’d up of him to point out the “distant/distanced” thing. He knew damn well what she was talking about and since they love subtitles so much, they could’ve simply translated at the bottom in the subtitles.
Also, it was ENTIRELY TOO PERSONAL for Andy Cohen, which is what’s really turning me off from the show (that and the the fact that they purposely brought Teresa’s family members on the show to make us watch them fight and continue to be divisive).
When Andy Cohen drives home this gay agenda constantly, I feel resentful. He’s shoving it down the throats of people, and it’s disgusting. Like, just be gay and be comfortable in who you are, but stop shoving it down the votes of viewers. We’re still going to see it’s dysfunctional/acceptable/tolerable/disgusting, whatever of those our opinions are REGARDLESS. So just be easy, damn.

The entire reunion was based on attacking Teresa. Come on. I lost a lot of my love for Teresa this season, but seriously? Melissa beats behind the bush. Caroline interjects with stories no one cares about. Kathy? What? If it weren’t for Teresa, there wouldn’t be a reunion at all.

I think Andy was hard on Thersa, because the comment she made about Jews. I think that he did not believe her when she said Joe is not predjudice against gays. Andy needs know people say things and so do gays that are not right, but they do! Melissa, Caroline and Kathy you can tell they lied about things. Thersa did not care and said what she had to say. I have brother and sister in law like Melissa. Melissa needs to read her bible, really for real. Caroline and Kathy they just think their right and goodess. What they said and how they act, look in mirror!
I was very surprised that no one called Melissa out for constantly egging things on, with her constant replays of every interaction she had with TG. She was really stirring the pot HARD, and I was very surprised that no one called her out on it.
Also, the elephant in the room: I’m not surprised by Teresa’s bigoted behavior, nor her husband’s. I’m REALLY not. And I don’t believe the other women for ONE SECOND when they say that they and their husbands don’t do and say the same things. I just believe Teresa and her husbands were the ones who didn’t give a damn about whether or not the cameras were there, that’s all.
The entire lot of them are Sicilian – to those who are unaware, Sicily’s that island off the coast of Italy and Africa. They’re not seen as Italian in their own country (Italy), but instead seen as “something else” or as “Blacks”, and are often impoverished, uneducated (formal education, that is), and agricultural. Please don’t chime back with “that’s racist” comments, that’s just the socio-economic state and reality and anyone who denies that is simply one of those Sicialians who was either taught to be ashamed of being Sicilian (how many Sicilian parents tell their children not to tell anyone they’re sicilian?? It’s a common occurrence), or one of those who have no awareness of what things are really like in Sicily. It’s not regarded, nor is it funded, in the same way mainland Italy is.
So the people have a lot of insecurity, a lot of self-contempt, and a lot of anger. Then, when they came to the US, it took well over a century for them to be considered “white” and to be able to enjoy white privilege. So a lot of the racism you see coming out of Teresa and Joe (and silently from the other castmates/castmate husbands), is a matter of them attempting to “assert their whiteness”. (Remember, just a few decades ago, when you said “ethnic” in the US, it meant Irish, Italian, Eastern European, and so on. Only recently did Americans change the definition of “ethnic”, yet again.)
The same exact thing happened for immigrants from Ireland, Wales (remember that the word “welsh” meant “foreigner” to the English, even though the Welsh were there first and the English came afterward), and Eastern Europe in the US, with the same late acquisition of “whiteness” and “white privilege”. This is what happens when you heavily recruit from impoverished regions that don’t place a premium on education, and have a lot of resentment/self-contempt. You get a group of people and descendants who will work hard to assert their “whiteness”, because they went so long without it.
Still in Europe, if you are from Ireland, Eastern Europe, Sicily, and so on, you face discrimination. So I’m not surprised by the bigoted behavior of the ladies/ladies’ husbands. From a psychological standpoint, honestly, it seems like a natural, albeit awful, result.
I hate that everyone makes this earth hell for everyone else. It never ends.

I enjoy visiting this site, but I’m sorry, this is bar none the silliest thing I’ve ever read. In short, you’re accusing Sicilian’s of being “racist” because they’re bitter about the racial discrimination they’ve endured. If bigotry is the tool disenfranchised whites (Irish, Eastern Europeans, Sicilians, etc.) use to assert their “whiteness” what does that say about the group they’re trying to fit in with? With that said, I believe Teresa was telling the truth. Joe Guidice, Joe Gorga and Rich are all loud and vulgar and I’m sure they all use the same offensive language amongst each other.
No one has ever called out Melissa and Kathy for their initial intentions for being on the show to begin with. If they were really concerned with having a good relationship, then they would not have gone on this show to begin with. Say what you want about Teresa, but Kathy and Melissa pushed their way into her life, knew she would behave negatively towards them, and then put fake smiles on their faces. Then, jealous Jacqueline and Caroline rewarded them. Yes, they are jealous. Whether you like Teresa or not, she is marketing everything she can and is successful. I’m not sure that I agree with the Jacqueline thing, but everything else-yes. Jacqueline herself has never tried to push out a product. Granted Chris is behind BLK, that has nothing to do with Jac. I think she just sides with Caroline because there’s been enough issues between them and not to mention her issues with Ashley. She’s probably just siding with her family at this point to avoid drama.

Um… did APPLE stop producing iphones, after many competitors put out similar phones…NO. Does chefs and cooks stop writing cookbooks, after many others have done so…NO. Does Maybelline and L’Oreal stop selling make up, because MAC is much more popular…NO. I don’t believe this story about Teresa stealing any ideas. Bethenny has a drink out, and that did not stop stop Teresa to launch her own line. So i don’t believe JacAss nor her mother.

I agree. I can’t remember exactly when, I want to say maybe mid-season? (3) Jac wrote the first negative blog on BRAVO right after an episode. It was of course, all about Teresa, but it didn’t make a whole lotta sense because 1. It was a lot of pointless rambling, and 2. at that point in the TV season we hadn’t really seen any negative exchanges between Jac and Tre or Tre and Caro YET. The blog was just a mess of unfocused venting, but one clear point did arise from it: Jac was p*ssed — CRAZY p*ssed about Tre ( in her mind ) ” not wanting anyone else to have opportunities ” ( not a direct quote, can’t remember verbatim, but that’s the gist ).
I think this is the crux of the problem they all have with her – love her or hate her, she’s definitely turned out to be the most marketable one of the bunch. And the big elephant in the room that no one on reality TV is allowed to talk about is this is precisely what they are there for, to MARKET themselves, to get publicity for their current businesses or launch new ones. It’s all about MAKING MONEY ( and feeding their inner narcissistic hosebeat). Teresa mentioned that Caro tried pretty hard to get a cook book published and no one wanted it; then Teresa puts out not one, but TWO that both became best sellers. I have no doubt that when Caroline joined the show she envisioned herself as the traditional Italian Mama cook and probably thought she was a shoo-in for that slot. That didn’t work out, so she tried the ” Dr. Caro, Woman of Perfect Wisdom ” advice guru thing. That sorta kinda worked for 5 minutes, but I can’t imagine it made her any real dough. Then she tried that CRAPPY purse line with the commercial that had her laying under a bunch of them striking a seductive pose (gag). Lauren’s first store – a “beauty bar” ( make-up ) went bust, and now Tree is planning on putting out (endorsing ?) a line of make-up and chances are, based on the light she has now and how other products she put out have performed, it’ll most likely have some decent success. Caro has tried VERY hard to make her boyz reality TV stars, but that went splat – even WITH all the help of the producers who are FRIENDS with all of them in their private lives. Tree gets Celebrity Apprentice, then Caro claims,” Oh, no no, it was ME they wanted all along! I told them to take Tree instead. ” Right. So again, another opportunity that Caroline wanted, but Teresa got. Who knows if this is true, but it’s been rumored that even the Brownstone is not really doing so well these days. And given the state of the economy in general, that seems entirely possible. Jac? Okay, in fairness, up until this blk water stuff, she hasn’t really tried to capitalize on her fame. At least we haven’t SEEN her trying to do so. It’s entirely possible she was trying behind the scenes and just couldn’t make a go of it, which again, would explain her nasty blog about Tree stealing everyone’s opportunities. Also, we just recently found out that her husband’s business has been in serious trouble pretty much since the show’s inception, so it’s totally plausible she was looking for other ways to earn scratch behind the scenes. Mel and Kathy? Do I have to say it? In addition to bringing Tree down, which I think they see simply as a bonus, they too, are on the show to exploit business opportunities. Although Mel’s plan to be become the next Britney Spears has to be the most delusional, poorly thought out money making scheme EVER. Even though Kathy does seem to know how bake, it doesn’t look like anyone is itching to publish her dessert book.
For a while I thought their hatred for Teresa mostly had to do with the Punta Cana incident, and I’m sure that didn’t help, but the more I think about it, I really believe it has a lot to do with business. One thing ALL of these people have in common is that they are BUSINESS PEOPLE. These are not teachers, lawyers, nurses or engineers. Their livelihood is BUSINESS ( not criticizing, nothing wrong with that ) and because of that, I gather they take any hint of someone moving in on what they perceive as their territory as a major slight. But Teresa, whatever you think of her, was FORCED to go into SURVIVAL MODE, not just for herself, but for her 4 young children. I for one, don’t blame her for grabbing every opportunity presented to her, OR even throwing a few elbows to gently shove someone else out of the way . But I doubt she did that. People just aren’t interested in what Caroline, Kathy, Mel and Jac are selling.

I have been told by one of my “insiders” that since the BFrankel debacle (Bravo didn’t get none of her skinnygirl money…), that if the HWs pursue outside money-making opportunities and they want Bravo to endorse their stuff, Bravo gets a LIFETIME cut. Therefore, Bravo encourages the HWs to record songs, write “cookbooks,” make wine, etc, etc., ’cause they get a part of the profits. Makes sense to me; however, this cannot be verified as I have never seen with my own eyes a Bravo contract.
Another “insider” told me that MeGo and JoGo decided NOT to partner with Bravo; they are confident that MeGo’s “talent” will launch her singing career without Bravo’s help and did not want to give Bravo a cut of their profits. Again, this cannot be verified; but again, it does make sense! I could just imagine the meeting that the Gorgas had about MeGo’s singing! “Yeah, we don’t need Bravo! You’re a great singer! Screw Andy… we’re goin’ right to the top of the charts!!” TFC!! SH

I’m trying to understand what was so wrong about wanting to get on the show? All of them had the same mindset; create a following and create a product and a bundle. Melissa wanted to be a singer and Kathy wants to sell/cater her deserts. Teresa is good for a laugh but I just don’t see anyone wanting to be her. Her life is a mess but that mess seems to make her happy so go figure.
Jacqueline and Caroline don’t need ANYTHING to market from being on the show, they don’t need to, or need the money, unlike Teresa and Joe, whose sole income and jobs are the TV show and what they can spin off from it…You don’t think Chris Laurita isn’t using Bravo to peddle his Black water or his imported Tequlia?…If the show ended tomorrow, the Gravy train ends for the Guidices, but Jacqueline and Carloine don’t need the money…The Brownstone is a cash cow and Chris Laurita is already set for life financially…You think those new SUV’s he’s throwing at Trashley are freebies…?

I have to agree. All of these family dynamics have become too much. Its become a trainwreck thats difficult to turn away from and uncomfortable to watch. There is no one that is likeable on this show the way they are acting. I get angry with myself that I continue to tune in when I promise myself I won’t. Its easier and more fun just to come here to see what they are up to.

I disagree, she is an East Patterson mean girl. Those were the “uneducated”, meaning lacked social graces & tack Italian girls who families has a little money for being mob flunkies. They flaunted their “things” but barely made it out of high school. They were the Jersey Shore crew of the 80′s & 90′s. Hi Diva, I must correct you. Teresa is not from East Paterson, she’s from what is referred to as the Totowa section and grew up one block in from the Totowa cemetery near J.F. Kennedy HS.

The reunion was not a fair playing field. It was a bunch of bullies ring lead by Miss Andy Cohen. He had Caroline to be his heavy and Melissa and Kathy were the minions. For Kathy in particular I found Caroline to be an intimidation.The end result, lots of people sympathetic with Teresa, who despite significant flaws does not seem to hurt people intentionly (unlike Andy or the other ladies)and works her tail off to try and recover from their financial mess(does more than Andy and the other ladies combined) Apparantly the anti bully cause needs to be at the expense of the anti gay cause in Andys pathetic world because what message is the whole franchise sending to your women and girls (the message I get 4 to 1 is fine and never stop attacking someone you don’t like even if someone is crying. How about they all just get along? In the first season Bravo was not egging on Jeanna’s alcoholic husband, and while Jeanna’s kids were awful (worse than Ashley in fact) they would only show snippets not build the season around it. How about benefit of the doubt? How about not kicking people when they are down? No, BravNO became heartless and corrupt and Andy is the evil step monster in charge of it all.
Caroline was leading Kathy definitely. Hence Teresa’s comment to Kathy, “Beware”. You watch. Caroline will turn on Kathy, too.

Andy Cohen thinks because he pretends to be “fun” with his stupid little “clubhouse” filled with silly little bobbleheads & little chachkies that the nation is watching & forgetting what he TRULY IS, and that my friends is a tv executive producer of reality tv, which really equates to one of the most evil & greediest types of producers in the works of not THE greediest & evil. They set people up, they raise then up just to bring them crumbling down, they amass fortunes by using people’s weaknesses & painful life situations against them and all the while their bank accounts are getting fatter & fatter. I hold them in a category even lower than music producers…they have risen to be even greedier than record label producers and trust me – THAT’S BAD.
We see through you Andy, we all know you have an agenda and that is search & destroy. To the ladies he isn’t destroying just yet GOOD LUCK TO YOU bc you could easily be next, he’s got files full of what makes you tick and what destroys you, he knows all about your past and any skeletons you THINK you buried deep enough for nobody to find! Oh yes, he knows all about you and it WILL be your turn soon, it’s not a matter of IF it’s a matter of WHEN. Teresa is just stupid and buried herself, which is like a godsend to people like Andy bc it’s just less work for him.
If also like to add that the reason the Manzos are so successful in their dealings with Bravo/Andy is because there is strength in numbers…and there are ALOT of them, in critical and strategic roles. Teresa has NOONE, she has one brother, and like 2-3 cousins who don’t even like her, that’s all. She is an easy target. Coupled with the fact her husband is a LOSER, makes for an easy villain. I would think its sad how MeGo jumped ship to the Manzos but a. She’s a greedy wench who sees the strength & power of the other side and wants the fame & fortune so bad she can taste it and b. not like Teresa made it hard for her by treating her like a second class citizen all these years…same for Wakile.
I can’t stand people like Caroline Manzo bc she’s the phoniest of them all! She could care less about any of these people she will always ONLY care about her immediate family and what is good for them only! Put a check mark next to Lauren?!? Yeah I don’t think so…that girl has more insecurity issues than 3 freaks combined! Woohoo she graduated makeup school!! A friggin chimp could have graduated from MUD School!
I think the reason Bravo likes the Manzo’s is a little more functional and organic. The Manzo’s are in the hospitality industry and well-versed in taking care of guests. When they have crew filming at their house, the Manzo’s are probably friendly, warm, inviting and hospitable. They probably have food and beverages for them and try to make the crew feel at home. There’s no young children running around, it’s all grown-ups. It may all be fake, but can the recipient really tell or would they care?
Now Tree is the opposite. She’s scatterbrained and has 4 young kids along with a surly husband. There have been rumors Tree treats the Bravo crews like babysitters. Last season we saw her hairdresser stop the baby from going down the staircase. Tree also seems like the type to be dismissive to anyone she views as working for her and she probably views the Bravo crews as working for her. When you’re filming at Tree’s house you know you probably need to take your own food/drink, be prepared to change a diaper or get hit by Milania, and deal with a shirtless JoDice yelling obscenities at you.

The biggest farce around is that Dina left on her own accord…She was FIRED !..Legal reasons…She sealed her own fate for a number of contractual problems mainly centered around her husband Tommy refusing to be filmed, them her ex refused Lexi to be filmed after the first season..Bravo messed up by allowing her to spin it that she left on her own…Dina expected her sister Caroline and sister in law Jacq to threaten to walk if they fired her and they all refused..( the backstab Tre refers to )..Dina cut all ties to ALL the housewives and it wasn’t until Tre showed up at Dina’s 6 months ago hysterical that the cast turned on her did Dina start being friends with Tre again… Caroline admitted as much during the reunion..Makes sense for Dina to let Teresa back in…pisses off her sister and she’s Godmother to tre’s newest kid, which tied her to Tre forever…Dina has been friends with Tre for 15 years, and I am sure it’s Dina that brought the whole gang together in the first place..
jaybee, everything you said clears things up a bit….I had heard bits and pieces. it sounds as if dina’s not entirely innocent….I remember something about her forging her ex’s sig. Guess we’ll never know all the deets but to me the underlying crime is greed and self-aggrandizement….those two factors will make a whole lotta people do a whole lotta wrong!
Danielle accused Dina of forging her ex’s signature on a release so that Lexi could appear on Season 1. I think that was dismissed as one of Bev’s whackadoo delusions, though.

It was in Punta Canta Chewy and all the Other vacationers were hooping it up at the Planet Hollywood and Chewy sprayed champagne all over a elderly lady and refused to say she was sorry words were spoken and Her sons took exception to Chewys rude behavior and punched her in the mouth( sorry but i woulda paid good money to see that)
and a fight insued with the MAnzo boys/Juicy joe throwing some punches and defending Chewys honor
The ladies 2 sons were “forced” to take a ammount of money to shut them up they claim they were told by DR police to take the money or they would not be able to go home (they ironiclly were from NJ or NY. Now back in the US they filed suit against Bravo,the Manzo’s and the Guidices plus Planet Hollywood.

Why would they be mad at Tre for that? Champagne blows sometimes. That’s what happens. And these shows are so staged, at least in Atlanta, they even have “props” so the Champagne was probably meant to blow for TV. I just don’t think Bravo is mad at Tre for what precipitated a fight when they know very well she was probably just “acting” as told by the producers. They may play for the viewers as if this show isn’t produced with a heavy hand but behind the scenes I doubt they would keep up the charade.

We know the basic allegations – the champagne that was sprayed on another bar patron by Tree, the altercation, the injuries etc. One paragraph in the complaint, though, is interesting in light of the recent chit-stirring. They allege that Bravo and Sirens “encouraged promoted required and/or demanded” that the cast “engage in verbal and physical conflict with one another and members of the public thus creating a culture, climate and/or an atmosphere of confrontation, hostility and violence in order to attract viewers.”
Furthermore, they allege that Bravo and Sirens put ratings and profits over public safety. Finally they allege that Bravo and Sirens demanded/encouraged and/or promoted that the Cast drink excessively, knowing it would lead to conflicts between the cast or with the patrons.
So, given those allegations, which I’m sure have been vigorously denied, even Lionel Hutz would tell everybody involved to keep their mouths shut. If Bravo taped any of it they wouldn’t want it out there either unless it backs up their story (or at least Tree’s lawyer’s story) that Tree was hit first, etc.

I hated the obvious tone of the show which was “lets knock Teresa down”. Too bad she didn’t play along. Instead she stood up to all of them and didnt’ break a sweat. For that, you have to give her credit. Nice try Andy. I have lost all respect for him after this.

I would have supported his actions towards Teresa completely had he been fair about it. However, he lobbed softballs to the other ladies and steered the reunion into a Teresa bash-fest. Had he been just as hard with the other ladies, I would have loved the reunion. However, he acted no better than Teresa by being so obviously out to get her. He needs to tighten it up. And get some new ladies who can act better – or Mego needs to call Sheree and get hooked up with a class or two. That whole prayer before her crotch-grabbing “performance” was vomit-inducing it was so bad.
It’s hard to watch this show and not have some feelings about it. Not everyone will identify with the same characters and it certainly leads to animated discussion. However, I do think there might be some common ground: It’s unfair to gang up on a person even if you dislike them in light of the fact that they all were guilty of stuff. That is being a bully.Theresa is not very bright. Everyone knows it. It’s not fair to kick her teeth in for ignorance. Not everyone can be smart. She is the weakest link made worse by her bad behavior. Being smarter than Theresa is very easy. I hold the more intelligent people accountable because they are smart enough to know better. The message to me is that you get a group of women together to interact and get along and look what happens-they will act like heathens and jealous witches. Even beloved family members are not above such behavior. Bravo is sending this message over and over again. Andy thinks he is above all of this and relishes the godawful outcome.
Hi Cat…I totaly agree with you…. The others are smarter as they make sure never caught saying bad words. You know every sticking one of them have said,n-words,r-words,c-words every word that we all know are bad in one way or another. The boys exspecially. They all have that what do they call it on Jersey whores? I agree, Catnapper. I had been one on these posts trying to figure out why so many people were taking up for Tree. I kept saying, “She brought it on herself.” Two things have changed my mind: 1) Picking on someone’s lack of intelligence, and 2. The Manzos cozy relationship with the producers.
