Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Giudice… “Caroline? Really?” REVIVED!!!

SH readers are the best!!!

As you are all aware, Tree Joodice’s rant about Don Caroline Manzo, which was posted on her site, “Fabulicious” was suddenly deleted.  SH reader “Angel…” emailed a copy of the entire post to SH… and here it is, in its entirety…

Yeah… I wrote dat about Caroline.  So what!  Dey made me take it down… so, I hadda erase everything and it was one a my best writins!

The deleted post written by Tree Joodice…

Caroline? Really?

Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2:06PM

So Sunday Night is our Season Finale for RHONJ. I can’t wait for you to see how my family finally comes together after this crazy season! It started out so terrible, and ends so perfect. Everything about our family photo was just perfect. My brother, my dad…

I wish the episode ended with that though… I was really upset to watch Caroline and her family talk about my book like they do. Like I said in my blog last week, I had no idea all season the way other people were talking about me and my family behind my back… insulting my husband, making judgments about my kids, and saying mean things about me and now my job. But even if I’d known, I wouldn’t have done it back.

What really shocked me when watching this episode though–and when Jacqueline first told me about Caroline’s “concern” about Fabulicious!–was that Caroline would be offended. Caroline? Really? Caroline and her kids make fun of everyone and each other all the time. That’s one of the things that makes them fun to be around–they’re always joking. Me and my family are the same way (as you saw with my husband and Joey in Punta Cana).

I didn’t take offense when they were all making fun of Skinny Italian on camera because I knew they were joking. What I wrote about the Manzos in Fabulicious! was the same thing: a joke. And not even a mean joke, a repeated joke that was made up for a fake feud on the “Rachel Ray” show. And I think my millions of compliments to the Manzos in the book make it very, very clear I was kidding. Actually, since the book came out, not one person, not ONE, has ever written me or said to me at one of my book signings that what I wrote about Caroline was mean. And I sold a lot of books. I think everyone gets it about my books.

No, they’re not regular cookbooks. That’s the point. I’m not a fancy chef. I’m a celebrity mom with an Italian heritage who wanted to share her family’s recipes. And I write the same way I talk–not always perfect, but I try to make it interesting, it’s easy to read, the recipes are delicious, and yes, I make jokes. Lots and lots of jokes. Jokes about priests and KY and Olive Garden, jokes about my friends, my family, my husband, but mostly jokes about ME–my mistakes in the kitchen, how I didn’t know how to cook, how I mispronounce things… I think the fun of my books (AND the amazing recipes) are what makes them so successful. And I do warn you about my jokes right in the introduction: “Buckle up, Baby Dolls, this is not your mama’s cookbook!”

I’m also thinking it’s pretty clear the Manzos never read “Skinny Italian” because I joked about everyone in it too–myself of course, Andy Cohen, the Atlanta, New York and OC Housewives, Danielle, even Dina (I joked about her insane love of meat… AND I said she was sexy AND I included sexy pictures of her in the book…). My cookbooks are not “bashing books”–they’re fun and funny and unique… like me. I tell you the history of pasta, the Italian belief about not making homemade sauce when you’re on your period, how to make quick, inexpensive, and healthy meals for your family.

But just to make sure, sure, sure that Caroline would know I was joking, I did also write that I was “a huge fan of Caroline Manzo,” that “Albie and Christopher Manzo are adorable,” and that I considered them all “family.” And the ONLY picture of a friend I put in my FAMILY cookbook was of Caroline–a big, beautiful color picture of the two of us. Under I wrote: “Me with another famous Italian mom, Caroline Manzo.” Not “famous fake-Italian mom” but “famous Italian mom.” I think you know where I’m going here…

To be honest, I don’t think Caroline is really upset. I think she’s trying to make up a reason to be mad at me and she doesn’t have anything else because I’ve never done anything to her or her family. (And you know if I had, it would have been all over Radar Online or US Weekly by now…) This is all she’s got? Fake mad about a joke I made on Rachel Ray TO HER FACE? That played on national television? That she wasn’t upset about then? She joked about my meatballs too, and I wasn’t upset because they were jokes!

I think it’s pretty obvious considering this is my second book like this that didn’t go out of my way to single out Caroline and insult her. She and her family are known jokesters and I thought she could take a joke. If I meant any harm, I wouldn’t have put a big, beautiful picture of her in there (you don’t see any of Danielle or Kim G. in there, do you?).

And ask yourself when you watch the episode: WHY would I? Why would I purposefully insult someone I had only ever been nice to–even nice to behind their back, unlike how they were to me? How would writing a “bash book” help my career? Why would I even want to bash the Manzos? I have no problem with them. Never have. I’m focused on moving forward, taking care of my 4 girls, working hard, writing books, promoting my books at book signings around the country, launching my Fabellini drink, launching my make-up line, and getting ready for a HUGE project…

So on the flip side, WHY would Caroline? Why would she pretend to be upset about something so small and obviously a joke? To create bad feelings for me and my book? But why? Maybe because she was mad it’s me that got a cookbook and not her?

I remember when I was writing my very first book proposal, Caroline was also trying to sell her own cookbook (and 5 other Housewives were too!). Caroline told me I was doing it wrong, that I wasn’t smart enough, that I didn’t have the right agent, the right co-writer, the right anything. I took her criticism like I always do, with a smile, and did what I wanted to anyway. And my book got picked up. Caroline’s didn’t. Not one publisher wanted it. I don’t know why. I wish everyone success in all they do, but I can’t help it hers didn’t get published. Go buy blk water! Eat at the Brownstone! Download “On Display”! Buy Fabulicious! I want the best for everyone.

I’m not sure everyone else feels the same, but what can I do? I’ll just keep being me–the same person I was on Season 1, the same person I was before the show, the same person I am when you meet me anywhere at any time.

Sorry this is so long and seems like I’m defensive, but I guess I am because I’ve worked so hard on my cookbooks, they mean a lot to me, and I’m not going to sit quietly while someone tries to make up YET ANOTHER FAKE STORY to make me look bad. First it’s my marriage, then my kids, then my own family, now my job… enough! I’m sure this will cost me another round of tiny tweeter attacks, but that’s fine. At least my fans can hear my side directly from me.

Love to you all!

Teresa xx

PS–I DID apologize to Caroline as soon as I heard she was upset about the book and told her to her face I didn’t mean any harm by it, that it was just a joke. I seriously don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings with a joke. Heck, I’ll throw in an apology to Danielle right now for naming a Puttanesca sauce in Skinny Italian after her. I’m sorry, Danielle, if that joke hurt you or your daughters in any way. I truly am. (I’m sorry though, I can’t apologize to Kim G. for anything because it’s against my religion to worship the devil…)

About Stoopid Housewives

The Real Housewives franchises have become a guilty pleasure for me and I've become intrigued by 'normal' people who would agree to put their lives on television for public display and scrutiny. What are their motives to divulge their daily routines for viewing audiences to approve, reprimand, berate, castigate, attack; basically abuse and judge? Oh, just forget about the above nonsense... the majority of these people are just stoo-pid.

  1. Gwenny says:

As much as Teresa gets on my nerves, I have to say she’s right. Everyone has been pretty nasty to her this season (some more than other). Not to say she doesn’t deserve jabs from Mel because she has to take it as well as dish it. It’s like the cast woke up and decided they hate her which has to be really hard. As far as I can see, Teresa never did anything to wrong the Manzo/Laurita clan. But they keep trying to drag her down and make her look stupid. I can see how Caroline would be LIVID that Tre has a cookbook as she tries to push her recipes all the time. Caroline is desperately trying to turn her family into a brand and it’s not working out so well. So it’s not shock that she would try to bring Teresa down a little.

    • I agree with you. Teresa is no angel, but they have treated her like she was the devil this year. Caroline is a control freak and is always telling Teresa what to do. Personally, I wouldn’t like someone like Caroline trying to run my life and Teresa has been far more diplomatic dealing with Caroline’s pushiness this season than I would have ever been. She never told Caroline to f*&) off and mind her own business. IMO, Teresa was this season’s underdog.

      • Right On says:

Could not agree more. Having someone like Caroline trying to control YOUR life, would be beyond horrible. Just awful. I’ve lost respect for Caroline & am tired of her family. Sorry but in regards to this one- Teresa’s right.

    • vp says:

I agree. She deserves jabs, yes. But it seems like people are trying to sabotage her career and family…? Why?
Geez. That’s all way too dark for some silly housewife show. Granted, the worst, Kim G, isn’t technically on the show, but Bravo put her in the spotlight and gave her a platform. And she is just a nasty piece of work. Also, tired of constantly having the Manzo brood shoved down my throat! And Patti! Bravo plays some strange favorites.

  2. lisavanderpumpernickle says:

Got to say I love her Kim G remark!

    • piadiddly@yahoo.com says:

Ditto. The Kims gotta go, the both of them….
Caroline has been harsh this season, but it’s clear Teresa is trying to make everyone wear rose colored glasses about her life and I suspect that hurts the people who counted her as friend.

  3. Mslediva says:

I can relate to how Tre is feeling concerning this issue. It’s unfortunate that supposedly good friends will be no longer over a joke. She put a nice picture of Caroline in the book so I don’t see how that’s bashing her in any way. It’s just her of reacting the way she has always wanted to because she may be shall I dare say it … jealous of Tre

  4. realitybash says:

Have to side with Tree on this one….it was a joke. I thought Caroline had thicker skin but she was probably “encouraged” by Bravo producers to take offense.

  5. Annie says:

Exactly. Not a Tre fan but Caroline & Lauren (and BGG) have been pretty brutal with Tre this season. I can’t stand Lauren, she’s a nasty piece of work. Sooooo tired of the “Oh I’m so fat” or “Oh,I’m not pretty” crap.

    • vp says:

She’s one of THOSE girls…you know the ones…always saying she’s fat so you are obligated to volley back a “oh, no…you’re so pretty” comment. Fishing!

  6. Right On says:

I admit… Teresa makes some valid points. I liked this blog & thought it was real. Enough. Enough with Carolines double standards. And besides that: her cookbooks are real, fun, and good.

  7. ShadyGoGo says:

I’ve been watching recaps and it does seem like the tide has shifted toward Theresa this season. And she is defensive and seemingly self absorbed (more so than in past seasons), and frankly annoying. But in her defense, look at what she’s going through.

I don’t think she’s too bright and is having a hard time handling these scandals affecting her family. You would think the Manzos would be supportive. Her SIL is the worst.

I feel bad for Theresa. I think she means well.

  8. kac says:

If Teresa wrote that herself, I’ll eat my own hand. I mean, whoever it is, it’s just a bit to….. cognizant. Teresa can’t argue for two seconds without whipping out a Jr. High lunchroom-level insult, yet here is yet another thoughtful missive, casting herself once again as the aggrieved(“I didn’ do nuthin’”).

Who is the Co-Author of her Cookbooks? Seriously, I’m dying to know who is writing this crap! Someone do some Literary Forensics.

    • mrsc says:

I was thinking one of her lawyers wrote it for her. On the other hand, I do admire a woman who is willing to get out there and work hard. Now THAT’s something her daughters can look up to.

      • polk8dot says:

What is a one example of Teresa working hard??? Are you kidding me? She obviously did no write the cookbooks, she is fricking illiterate! Giving a list of your family recipes, from your mom-in-law and others, does not writing-a-cookbook make. Having a ghost writer sit down and put them all together does not make you an ‘AUTHOR’. Having someone else cook all the stuff that needs to be photographed while you drone on about ‘ingrindiences’ does not a cook make! And slamming EVERYBODY ifrom your life in your book, to sell more copies, does not a good Christian make! But lying, stealing, cheating, backstabbing, living above your means, being rabidly jealous of everone else DOES TERESA MAKE.
What a nasty, idiot, wanna-be. ‘I’m a CELEBRITY mom who is Italian’??? Angelina Jolie is a celebrity, you are a Bravo-lebrity, there are a dime-a-dozen of you, and it is not a complement of term of endearment, you dumba##!.
Fricking crap-stirring, back-stabbing, lying and thieving jerk, that’s Teresa.
        Self-obsessed much?

        • Annie says:

What’s Juicy doing to feed the family ? Tre’s doing the best she can with what she has to work with :-) She does a lot of book signings, appearances, and I believe some product endorsements. Hey if people want it,more power to her. Ya do what ya gotta do to provide for your kids. Her 15 minutes will be over soon enough, might as well take advantage of it.

    • SplitInfinitive says:

I pity the poor copyeditor who has to slog through her prose.

  9. Although I am not a Manzo fan, I can’t believe the buy-in for Tree’s poor-me victimhood. She brought it on herself.

  10. Linda says:

What is bothering me about these comments in the cookbook is — this book would have gone to print waaaay befire Tree saw the episoded with the Manzo’s comments. So why would Tree be like that, is Dina only a tiny bit italian like Caroline? Why pick on Chris? Did that bother Aunt Dina?? I am sorry, but I think Tree put these little digs in because she was so mad That the Manzo’s actually liked Melissa and didn’t constantly feed into Tree’s inmature, catty
behavior. I am not thinking Tree is cool at all and I am sorry, she has caused everything that has happened to her. I still think she and Joe are not out of the legal woods yet with the IRS and fraud, etc.. Just because they exit bankruptcy, doesn’t mean they are not still on the federal radar. I want to see them pay all those they financially screwed before I forgive.
am sorry to those if you who are her fans. I just think she is famw hungry and a bad mother and rolemodel, poor girls. Gia is already paying for her mommy’s fame addictiion.

    • lisavanderpumpernickle says:

Newsflash: ALL of these women have a fame addiction.

    • vp says:

      Why pick on Chris?!?

He wanted to open a topless carwash!!! Come on! With schemes like that, you have to expect some good ol’ fashion ribbing! If he’s big and ugly enough to try and exploit women for a buck, he can handle a light ribbing from another woman.

    • syd3 says:

I liked what you had to say up to a point … that point being Teresa’s parenting skills. Teresa appears to be markedly involved with her children and appears to be letting them find their way as individuals … note that I wrote the word “appears” twice.

      • polk8dot says:

‘Find their way as individuals’ – Is that the latest newest excuse for being a horrible parent and not giving a crap about what your kids do, how hey behave, where they sit their smelly little butts (Milania,in grocery store, anyone?), and giving them no good start in life by teaching them– absolutely no morals, no values, no respect for anyone or anything??? That is your definition of ‘great parenting’? Wow, I hope you do not have kids, because they’d be the same scourge as Teresa’s littel monsters are!
She is a horrible mother, an the only thing she ever thought those girls is to scream ‘fabuloussssssssssssss’ and to value money and material posessions above anything, especially the ones she did not work hard to get but rather stole with her thieve husband.
Are you all drinking Tre-KoolAid on this site??? WTF???

        • MinMo says:

I agree with Syd, T’s children have food in their bellies, clothes on their backs, a roof over their heads and by watching the show participate in extra-curricular activities in which she fully supports them. All children will act up and be bad on occasion, could it possibly be that bravo catches these moments and airs them? I have a 17 month old boy that given ANY chance misbehaves…I just don’t have a film crew following me around to catch him in the act. I also do not agree with you hoping that another person does not have children based on a comment. Who are you to judge a persons parenting skills without knowing them?

          • Made Piley says:

Speaking of the crew handpicking moments to film, I noticed a few times when Melania or Adrianna were doing dangerous things and the cameras just kept rolling. For instance the climbing down the banisters and Adrianna fixin to smash her fingers in the piano. I just wonder how far the crew would go to get a horrendous shot of what happened when children are “unattended”
And that begs another question. Technically when the Bravo camera’s are there none of the children are “unattended” so unless Kathy thought that the crew would allow someone to harm Adrianna at the christening then she really didn’t have to step in and save the day unless she needed something to crow about OR she knew that the crew would indeed allow harm to come to the child to amp up the shock value.

        • Annie says:

Hey Polk, sounds like your momma didn’t do such a great job of raising you either. We play nice in the sandbox around here. Very ironic that you’re ranting about someone elses bad behavior, lol. Nite !

        • Belladee says:

What kind of mother is MeGo going on TV and causing problem? What example is she setting? Backstab your family to be a singer, when you cant even sing? Or how she is a SAHM but has 3 nannys and a cleaning lady?

          • Made Piley says:

Was that one of her nanny’s at the photo shoot holding Adrianna? She looked like the girl in the juicy TGIFridays pic.

  11. lisa says:

I think Teresa is getting everything that’s coming to her from her Legal woes to how her cast mates are treating her Its called Karma She is a vile piece of trash Her ‘its just a joke” is nothing but 11 hour back peddling.

  12. Deep-Sigh says:

So the book came out in April or May 2011 and the RRay segment was aired in May too. So Teresa already had written her “olive garden” comment in her book. The meatball contest aired putting up Caroline’s mb’s against Teresa’s. CM: “Teresa has to disguise her meatballs in her gravy,” she says. “Not me – I’m commando. My meatballs are gonna kick your meatballs’ butt!” Teresa claims that her recipe is the best because it’s made by a true Italian. “Caroline, she’s as Italian as the Olive Garden!” So Teresa is just parroting her forward in the book which Caroline may or may not have read at that point in time. So Tre now says it was a joke but everyone knows Teresa is NOT funny, does not have a sense of humor and only speaks in sexual innuendos which she thinks is funny. Also, the OG comment would come across as banter in a verbal conversation but written can easily be misconstrued. Overall, I just think this is Bravo once again manipulating it’s viewers and leaking/retracting crap info for bigger ratings.

    • Lex says:

Actually, I remember that the Caroline vs Teresa Meatball contest first aired in 2010- Teresa had cracked that joke on-air. If CM is only making a big deal of it now, then she really is nitpicking for an excuse (or, using the most trivial offense to compensate for bigger ones Tree may/may not have done).

And, I don’t like Tree. In fact, I think she’s dumber than a box of rocks (which is mean to a box of rocks). I don’t begrudge that she’s got a good product and branding, but catty writing is best left for lunchroom tables.

      • Deep-Sigh says:

        Agh…2010…that’s even worse…dumb non-issue for CM.

        • Lex says:

At the time, it was fluffy, nicey-nice on air. But, Tree looked unhappy that Rachael Ray (and the cast of Jersey Boys) had picked Caroline’s meatballs over hers.

CM disliking this joke now seems to be a convenient means of just disliking Teresa.

  13. Bravo threatened Caroline with focusing more on her daughter than on the Manzo Boyz unless she created drama with Tre. Caroline had no choice!

  14. Made Piley says:

I still cant figure out what it was that she said about Chriddofer. What am I missing?

    • lisa says:

I read on one of the RH blogs Teresa made a crack about Criddifers idea for a stripper/cash wash It was pretty snarky and of course the Obligatory “it was just a joke” was included,

      • SplitInfinitive says:

That, and she called out Chris and Albie as mama’s boys: “Their “L” in “GTL” (Gym-Tanning-Laundry) is ‘Leave it for Mom.’ ”

  15. S says:

Okay, this was definitely written by a publicist or agent or someone NOT related to Teresa Giudice. There is no way in hell that Teresa could write that, or read it out loud and comprehend 50% of it. But that being said, it made some damn good points (further proof that Tre couldn’t have touched it). I wonder why she deleted it.

It cracks me up in the previews when Caroline yells “In the introduction?!” because I’d be the same way–wtf are you doing talking about me in YOUR cookbook? But I’m sure Tre’s ghostwriter or literary agent explained that no one is buying her book because they want authentic italian recipes–they’re buying it because they’re fans of RHONJ. So I’m sure they pushed her to mention her castmates (I think Tre would’ve wanted it to be ONLY about her–the inclusion of castmates seems somewhat magnanimous) so that it would be interesting to RHONJ fans. But Tre probably wanted to throw in a few subtle digs, because she’s dumb and catty like that. I’m sure she expected everyone to just laugh and ignore it.

  16. Mel says:

All of these women are vindicative, catty, and immature, however when Teresa behaves this way she is called every name in the book. I am no Teresa fan, however can’t stand caroline either. Caroline is a know it all who thinks she is the Queen of her click. Anyone that does not bow to her awesomeness is slowly destroyed. Although Teresa is a biatch, i am glad she is not kissing Don C’s ring. The manzos have treated Tre and her family like crap, yet expect her to not stand up for herself ?

  17. Ash says:

Considering Teresa had burned bridges with so many of her family members and had to have a “friendsgiving” with the Manzos, I find it highly unlikely that she would be bold enough to personally attack CM in the introduction of her book. Teresa suffers from logorrhoea, or diarrhea of the mouth. She babbles incessantly and is unaware that sometimes her stupid comments come off as hurtful. I think she thought it would be a funny “ha-ha” thing to include CM in the introduction, because lets be honest, no one is buying this book for the recipes. The only people who buy it are fans of RHONJ. So it makes sense why she would crack jokes at everyone. CM is just being a baby, and fans of the show should know Teresa’s stupidity well enough by now.

  18. Tracy says:

REally don’t take anything you see that Teresa “writes”. She doesn’t write it. Heather Maclean writes everything for her, including her bravo blog and her twitter etc.

    • vp says:

That’s the same for probably half of all the housewives. And thank god! It would probably be a rambling mess otherwise.

  20. Tree put her blog back up…I guess she had a change of heart?

The ghost writer’s name is Heather Maclean. Maybe she’s the one behind writing the blogs etc

  23. Shadow says:

I had a crash course in NJ housewives this weekend and come away kind of liking Teresa. Unlike Taylor, when Teresa’s husband had problems she hunkered down herself and got to work to help the family. Personally, I don’t know how she can stay with him given his personality so she’s got my respect. She really did have a hard time this past season and, though people tried to corner her, she kept responding better than I expected. Even Caroline forced a conversation with Kathy during a party (a practice I hate on all the shows!).

Caroline is a busy body and really has irritated me more than Teresa–maybe because I expected more from her given her “matriarch” status and as leader of the gang.

To be honest, I can see this “joke” referred to in the cookbook as just that–something an italian would say to an italian to rib them. Having spent most of my adult life with italian inlaws, I know they will talk about how long people live in the country, whether they speak italian, what region their families hail from in italia (as they will even make the distinction that people are not “really” italian because their towns were too close to France. (Seriously!….as an outsider/non italian I thought it was insane! lol) Since Teresa was born there, I can imagine that she does have more authentic italian dishes than anyone else on the show.

    • Made Piley says:

You make a good point. Somehow it seems “inauthentic” to nitpick Tree’s jokes. But then heehaw over everything that comes out of Rich’s mouth(who I think is funny too BTW) I agree Caroline is just grasping at straws looking for something to get all panty wadded about.

      • vp says:

It must have something to do with Caroline wanting to get a cookbook and it falling through…imo

        • Made Piley says:

I think that is exactly what its about vp. So in light of that. Tree and Juicy opening a restaurant must REEEEALY chap her hiney. Extra salteseses in the wound? If Tree and Juicy work on it together as opposed to the Brownstone which is what Don’s husband in married to and does alone,

  24. karen says:

I am glad you posted this and I took the time to read it. I’m not the biggest Teresa fan, but this makes me kind of like her. Although none of us knows what truly goes on behind the scenes, it is obvious that Teresa has been betrayed by those she thought were her true friends. And it does appear that Caroline is looking for an excuse to be outwardly angry towards Teresa and she’s using the comments in the book as the excuse. That’s kind of shameless to me. It’s sad to see what a little fake fame does to people. Perhaps a little time reflecting on what’s REALLY important in life is in order for these “ladies.”

    Bwahahahahahaaa… I’m still laughing.

Honestly, I’m still thinking all of this is fabricated by Bravo.

Lexi is now following Lauren and Chris. I am sure that is after they followed her. If they were so close they wouldn’t be the 40 and 41st person she followed.

I think Tree is jealous and vindictive, and her ” Italian” temper is just { the way she really is}… just look at how she ‘ screams” at her children!!??? enuff said! lol

  31. DebWeb says:

Just LOOK at ‘Teresa’s” reply’s to EVERTHING that was said about her & stumpy? Come on… we all know how STOOPID you are & that is your own fault! Lean how to read, write, and speak …english! Educate yourself!, you had all the time in the world to do so…. community college or online college? I do not like you or your fake a$$ excuses………… But ” I love my family over fans and friends”….right Teresa??

    Go Tre!

I loved when jax told teresa that if the don is 1/16th italian, so is chris…and teresa looked so confused (and it wasnt bc chris would be 1/32nd!). Best part of trees blog above, “im just a celebrity mom…” Uh-huh, and a comedian, right?

    • polk8dot says:

Jax was talking about her own husbad Chris, who is Caroline’s BROTHER, not about Caroline’s SON Chris. That’s why she said that would make him, too, 1/16 Italian, since they had SAME EXACT parents (no ‘step-’ anything in there).
And yes, Teresa looked like her brain was just about to explode from the math problem… Makes you realize, again, as if you needed another confirmation, that Teresa is waaaaayyyyy tooooooo stuuuuupid to write a book, any book.

Oh, and when she said in the finale that she had to shut up Cathy ‘to silence the lamb’ I burst out laughing . What a moron!!! If you’re going to make references to anything, please make sure they are properly applied, or else you loook even more illiterate and desperate than you would otherwise. Dumba$$.

    • RomoSheDiNT says:

Oh ma gah y’all, yes! It was like those hot robot girls from Austin Powers… I was waiting for the steam to shoot out, her head to spin around and pop off! She even took it a step further and asked Jax why Chris would be mad. The kicker is that chit wasn’t scripted… classic! :-D

I’m unexpectedly glad that Tree wrote her blog post, because I never knew Caroline attempted a cookbook as well. It must grate on CM’s nerves that the younger, bubble-headed, and barely fluent Tree’s book got picked over hers. Seeing her continued success when her own further efforts in the culinary world didn’t materialize probably is bittersweet.* (see below).

Ultimately, CM using the Olive Garden remark as a means of distancing herself from Tree is disappointing. I like her most as a straight-shooter and think people would respect her for saying, “She’s loud and her manners are atrocious and finances are appalling.” She didn’t need to take offense now, but should have sooner the minute Tree seemed shady. That would have been honest.

Aaaaaanyway, I still don’t like Tree’s behavior and don’t think cattiness has a place in her cookbook. CM may be the more genteel and less vulgar, but she’s also a little ridiculous to choose this as a means of separating herself from this “friendship.”

    * (On the Rachael Ray show, CM mentioned a line of kitchenware she was working on called Caroline’s Kitchen, and on season 2, wore a logoed Caroline’s Kitchen chef’s jacket during her dinner scenes promoting it. As far as I know, nothing has come about it.)

In the segment last night where Melissa was reading the entry in the book about “my baby sis in law copies everything I do” …..it’s too bad Melissa didn’t counter with the fact that Tre has copied Bethenny Frankel’s business model…right down to marketing a drink…

    • Made Piley says:

Well the most striking thing about that whole segment was when camera MeGo said “Maybe she was talking about her other sister-in-law. Interesting indeed. Since we have heard rumblings about possibility of her other sister in law joining the cast AND that she has had issues with her as well. That was total unadulterated diabolical calculation on MeGo’s part to bring that up.

  36. Belladee says:

I bet the Manzo family will get an endorsement deal to be the spokesperson for Olive Garden…lol

  37. Shipwreck says:

I think Caroline and Jax are jealous of Teresa. Teresa is supposed to be sooooooooooo stupid but she has successful cook books and if he works hard enough, her other ventures may be quite successful as well. I think the “dumb ass” of the show making money on her own and succeeding is killing Caroline b/c she thinks she is superior to Teresa. I think Caroline is also a bit jealous b/c Teresa actually speaks Italian and is well connected to her roots. I recall when they took a trip to Italy and everyone was speaking Italian and Caroline commented how she felt sad or something b/c she could not speak it b/c speaking Italian was not encouraged in her household growing up. I think Caroline is just looking for any excuse to act made and be nasty to Teresa. Jealousy and pettiness is crazy. Remember Caroline allegedly said she was asked to do Celebrity Apprentice but suggested Teresa b/c she did not want to do it. Funny how the producers of the show never wanted or asked Caroline to do it.

Had a good laugh reading this blog. Thank you all you made my day!

  39. Thank you for posting this! Teresa is dumber than a box of sprinkle cookies, but I have to say she’s done better than other housewives with endorsements and cookbooks. Don Caroline is sooo jealous.

Anyway, this was solid gold.
(I’m sorry though, I can’t apologize to Kim G. for anything because it’s against my religion to worship the devil…)

  40. piadiddly@yahoo.com says:

Teresa is skating on a thin fabrication of reality held up by her sheer determination. She has a husband who literally can’t stand for her to touch him even in front of the cameras. Her children do not respect her. She does not own her mistakes like undermining comments to her brother about his wife leaving him for a richer man.

All of this takes tremendous energy, especially when a person becomes an island unto themselves, unable even to rely on friends.

This woman is alone in the world. She can smile and launch products and abuse the English language and ignore what is in her face, but it won’t change the truth. No matter how much determination or energy she musters, there’s a fall coming, and I feel for her, despite the evil she has tried to do others.

Caroline? Well, Caroline needs to take a chill pill and drop the self righteous better than thou because yes, it is boring, but she is also a better person than that. Caroline is an observer, not a participant. At least Teresa is jumping in with both feet making the very most she can out of life instead of sitting on the sidelines, arms crossed, unhappily judging her surroundings and everyone else.
