The Dish: RHONJ viewers adore you this season. Are you surprised to be such a fan crush?
Greg: I’m honored! I know fans of the show are very passionate about who they like and don’t like, so to have a lot of support really makes me happy.

So, BigGayGreggy is a college friend of Albie Manzo’s. So, BigGayGreggy was included in the filming of season two and three of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. (If you’re watching reruns of the RHONJ, you will spot him in various scenes. He got the most camera time appearing as a guest sitting next to Tree at the Posche Fashion Show in season two…) So, BigGayGreggy has a dog… So what!

According to BGG, he has lots of fans and tremendous support of RHONJ viewers. Would someone please inform everyone WHY BigGayGreggy is on the Real Housewives of New Jersey?
Is it because:
- Caroline Manzo said so?
- Albie Manzo cried for BigGayGreggy to be on the show with him until one of his producer friends relented?
- MeGo said that she needed someone on the show whose sole purpose was to adore her… besides JoGo?
- The RHONJ was crying out for a gay cast member?
- BigGayGreggy sends Andy weekly tips for snaggin’ a guy?
- Now that BGG is on the show, he has to stay until he completes his ‘branding’ process, which is now required of anyone appearing on any of the Housewives franchises?

BGG might have lost him some “fans” last night who were put off by his queeny beeotchedness. Very hard for a giant gay to pull of snark and still maintain his lovableness. Every time the camera was on his face last night he had that look on his face like he just smelt a turd. I liked him before last night.. now? eh

This is true! What puzzles me is even tho they (Greg, Albie) are close friends, you don’t normally see gay men living with straight men?? I have a close brother who is gay and I could never see him living like that. I know many of his friends, so I need to ask them about that. I’ve just never seen it, so to me it’s odd.

I always thought they put him on to make the NJ cast seem less homophobic. BGG’s camera time confused me this season so that’s how I rationalized it. It’s like they were saying – “See? We love gays! We even have one! Let us show you! See? We’re all good here, right?”

I agree with you mt. Kathy’s sister Rosie is very much loved too,she has “fans”. She was on the screen for like 5 seconds and people want her to have her own show. I think it just gives Bravo a broader audience to play to.

I think he comes off a bit bland and maybe trying too hard to be funny and dramatic. Highlighting the MeGo/Tree competion is annoying, but honestly I find their “competition” this season to be very annoying in and of itself.

Maybe the reason that he comes off as unattractive or unlikeable to many of us is how he has so easily imersed himself into all of the family drama that is not even his own having only met these people supposedly at Jaqs holiday wine tasting party. Please do not accuse me of being homophobic because that isn’t true either. My own son is gay and much more handsome and kind than Geygee. Ask yourself this question. How many heterosexual men would have a gay room-mate? Not many.
Where he has come from and why so much airtime is a valid question that never made sense to me.
What I have noticed is that the men give Geygee more attention than the ladies which seems more disturbing than the rest…..also constantly complimenting him on what a good looking guy he is! Jogo is extremely touchy feely with this guy and Juicy has made remarks as well when someone asked Geygee who he would rather questions where I *think* Juicy didn’t act opposed to. I don’t understand why people keep saying he was “brought in” to do something. He moved in with his friend from college and his friend’s brother. Their mom is on a tv show, and they are on that tv show, and he was deemed interesting enough to then be on the tv show too. Everyone makes it sound like bravo has an underground lair full of people that they insert into their various shows as they see fit.
Anne: Bravo DOES have an underground lair full of people they use at their whim for various purposes on any and all of their shows. If you look carefully, you will spot them everywhere. The only way in or out of the hidden lair is through a secret passageway in Andy’s clubhouse. When Andy’s ready to let one appear on a show, they are taken to an anteroom to shake off the drug-induced stupor they’ve been put in. They’re then taken out through the clubhouse; made to perform on the Bravo-sponsored show and then led directly back to the clubhouse, where Andy has prepared them a grilled cheese sandwich and a tall glass of Maker’s Mark and orange juice. Once they’re sated, back into the lair they go… until their “type’ is necessary for one of the Bravo shows. Watch Bravo very, very carefully… you’ll see ‘em in the background… and they all look like they wanna run or blurt something out, but they’re all too scared of Andy, so they’re very compliant. Andy is one tough taskmaster… you just don’t know the real Andy. Oh, there’s much more… but that’s all that can be said for now. TFC!!! SH

I’m a little afraid of the calls for giving Rosie more airtime. I must have missed something. I didn’t see any clever looks or anything. I rewatched the episode after hearing on WWHL that Rosie had a fan club. Who knows, she could be fabulous. But I saw no evidence of this fabulosity in the 5 seconds of camera time. Is it the mystery? The emperor has no clothes, I say.
Mr. R is gay, and he is not a fan of Gregois. His insertion into the Melly and Tre drama is quite irritating, as it has no basis whatsoever! G-d didn’t give him looks in the beauty department, nor any brains either, even though he graduated from Fordham University. His comments are remotely witty, and quite abrasive in tone, as his comments seem to demean others, especially Tre, for unwarranted reasons. His aforementioned behavior causes me to label him as lacking propriety because it is improper for him to be involved with Gorga/ Giudice issues! Honestly, Lauren, Albie, and Greg are all inspid ‘characters,’ especially since their presence adds absolutely nothing to the show’s plot! They need to be edited out ASAP!

Rosie reminds me of my lesbian counsin, first removed!!! From what I have seen, I don’t find her interesting enough to generate my interest into continuing to watch the show, as she lacks panache or a piquant quality that is necessary to attract viewers. She may have a fan club, but Mr. R is not interested.

I don’t think you are homophobic at all!! We are entitled to our opinions in life, and some people try to restrict it by calling othes names. As long as he received his church sacrements up to his confirmation, he can be a godparent. You usually receive confirmation 8th or 9th grade.

Caroline and her family are the best and most stable part of this show. There is plenty of story line around them without craziness. Over the past couple of years it seems more like the soap operas that my mother watches. Crazy people and crazy story lines that are hard to believe. The Manzos story and fun you can believe.
I agree with the soap opera part. I’m hanging by a thread with this NJ cast though. I in no way would even consider thinking about watching a purely Manzo show. Eveh! They may not bring drama but they definitely do _not_ bring entertainment to me.
