Jill Zarin was on The Wendy Williams Show late yesterday. If you did not have a chance to catch the show, a video will be posted today of Wendy’s interview with Jillz. During the interview, Jillz would not let Wendy get a word in edgewise… and Wendy told Jillz as much. Jillz just had to cram all that she possibly could into the time she had with Wendy… and she filled it was a bunch of BS, basically the same BS that she talked about on GMA yesterday morning.
However, Jillz had much more to say… and this video allows her to say whatever she wanted. This video was shot before her appearance on Wendy and, as Jillz states, it’s all about her “fans”… but, she really doesn’t like to call them that.
If you are up to it, watch all 3:20 minutes of it. IMO, it is a slap-in-the-face to Jillz “fans” and to all viewers of the Real Housewives of New York. Jillz said during her interview on GMA yesterday that Bravo gave her the “platform” on which to build her ‘brand’ and she is forever grateful to Bravo for allowing her to do that. The following interview simply reinforces the fact that all of the Housewives franchises have jumped the shark… and are nothing more, as I have mentioned in previous posts, than hour-long infomercials.
IMO, the Housewives… ALL of the Housewives, not just the New York franchise… are on their way out the door. They have ALL jumped the shark…
Bravo and the Housewives have taken advantage of the good will of their viewers. The hour-long infomercials and mental illness-gone-wild of a few of the cast members, in addition to the deplorable displays of behavior have driven us away. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I feel taken advantage of (yes, I turned on the TV of my own free will – but with the intention of enjoying ‘entertainment’) and spit out. I also think Bravo and the Housewives assume they’re playing to a bunch of idiots. Don’t they know we’ll figure out the incessant ‘branding’ and Jerry Springer style of staged fighting? Enough already. I am terribly disappointed in the very wrong turn they’ve taken. Sellouts.
mrsc: Yes, we have all caught on to their “producer-induced” in-fighting and all the “branding” that they have shoved down our throats. IMO, the HWs shows are over…. jumped the shark. I’ll have to do a bit of research to determine when exactly they “jumped,” but Andy had better come up with another type of show or give all the HWs shows the boot and start over from scratch. TFC!!! @ mrsc – LOL They should rename the show ” Hour-long Infomercial and Mental Illness Gone Wild – Jersey ( BH, NYC whatever ) Edition” . On a more serious note, I completely agree with you about feeling what I call “handled”. I don’t mind be marketed to – DIRECTLY. Like ” Hey, I’m selling candles, if you ever need some, please consider me, I think I have a decent product. Tell your friends!” What I can’t stand is feeling like I’m on the receiving end of a huge, convoluted con job where someone disguises their true intentions and tries to massage me into wanting something. It’s a huge insult to the audience’s intelligence. And what’s even MORE insulting is they don’t seem to realize it’s insulting or that anyone has picked up on it. Maybe they do realize it, but just don’t care because there are enough dopes who are willing to buy their crap. I guess they only need to snow about 10% of the audience to make a decent buck, right? Caroline Manzo said she developed her purse line because she “wanted to give the audience a piece” of her. I for one, don’t want a piece of her and if I need an undergarment to squeeze in my tummy fat, I’ll head to Sears.
She is definitely treating it like she doesn’t expect to be invited back on anyones TV show because her fame is dwindling by the day

Also, can cameramen PLEASE stop cutting away to a side view of someone when he/she is talking? It is no longer “edgy,” and it aggravates me.

AOM, you are hilarious, I had to scroll back up to see that picture I could not remember what it was and I was very curious to see what it could be when I saw it I just started laughing and I had to sit my lap top down for a sec. I have not laughed like that in awhile so thanks!! Honestly though do you think Bawbee has EVER seen that face. Maybe once right before JillZ got her New York apartment remodeled!

I think we should all make Jill go away faster, by not even addressing her existence. You and I both know she has a team of people that alert her everytime her name appears anywhere online. We did a poll on our page in reference to the “rumblings” of Jill getting her own show. We asked if she did, would you watch. 30 people said “Hell to the NO”. 17 people said “I would rather pour bleach in my eyeballs” and only 4 people said “yes”.

Oh Click, you underestimate JillZ. She’ll have the show on while her room full of unpaid interns scours the internet to find blogs on which to leave flattering messages about her, fake compliments and insult those who criticize her. Then she’ll call Nielsen to complain her ratings are under-reported and send a picture of those interns watching the show which she’ll cite as evidence that her fans like to gather in large groups to watch the show. JillZ has this down to a science!
