Recently, cookbook ‘author’ and cast member of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice was in LA and did a cooking segment on a morning show (here). She sautéed shrimp in a pan on a hot plate, threw in sauce and covered pasta with the mixture and she called her recipe ‘Devil’s Shrimp.’ Tree also brought along a plate full of cannoli cupcakes which she called her ‘happy endings.’
So, this evening, I notice a new cooking segment by Tree, this time in San Diego. I click on the video and what is Tree slaving away making? Her ‘Devil’s Shrimp,’ followed by her cannoli cupcake ‘happy endings.’
I do all my own cooking from recipes that I copied myself from my own classic Italian cookbooks…
Tree is no cook. Tree obviously has taken tried and true classic Italian recipes, tweaked them and renamed them for her latest cookbook. Tree ‘Devil’s Shrimp’ is a standard shrimp and pasta recipe called ‘Shrimp Fra Diavolo‘… here’s the recipe, but feel free to do your own search and you will see that Tree’s ‘Devil’s Shrimp’ is ‘Shrimp Fra Diavolo.’
SHRIMP Fra DIAVOLO
- 8 oz. pasta
- 12 oz. large shrimp; peeled and deveined
- 3/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 yellow onion; chopped
- 2 garlic cloves; finely chopped
- 1/2 cup vermouth (or dry white wine)
- 1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh oregano
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
Tree recently mentioned to the Miami Herald that she would love to do a cooking show. Is she serious??? If Tree wants to do a cooking show, first, she needs to stop stuttering and talk in full sentences; and second, Tree needs to actually cook, unless she’s going to call her cooking show ‘Skinny Semi-Homemade.’
But, hey why not copy Aunt Sandy Lee? Copying other Housewives has been working for Tree so far…
Once again, they carry on about this wonderful mother of 4, yet, once again, her and Jerky Joe are in Calif. going to see seals…I assume at the San Diego Zoo? Did she ever stop to think that those 4 little girls would like to see the zoo? “Here Joe, Take my picture with the animals. The girls will love to see pictures of me with the seals.” She is so selfish!!! And Jerky Joe just having a big ol’ vacation in Calif.
I’ve been making that dish since I got married in 1963..any comment Tree???

It’s true Click… washing your hair everyday is bad for it. When I straighten my hair I wash it weekly. And when I have it curly, I wash it every few days.
I know it sounds gross, but it really isn’t unless your running laps everyday.
They sell the waterless shampoo which is basically baby powder… and that’ll absorb the extra grease in your hair. Plus they sell like hair perfume and stuff.
Teresa has it easy.. I have the difficult Puerto Rican hair so it takes me about 30-40 mins to blow dry and 30-60 mins to flat iron. The time decreases on whether I’ve recently relaxed it.
nunya, I have baby fine hair that is super straight. If I don’t wash mine everyday it looks like a grease ball. I would give my front row seat in hell for natural curly hair, but everyone wants what they don’t have. I also wish I was 5’10 and weighed 110lbs. That ain’t going to happen.
I forgot to add my hair doesn’t get really greasy.

grrrr. As yall know the name change thing is buggin me. Just caught a rerun from 1st season when Tree got her bubbies and she announced herself at the Dr. office as Tresa Joo-dice. She also was calling down one of hr girls and addressed her with her full name using the Joo-dice pronunciation. Does Tresa not realize all this stuff is on film? And wouldn’t this be insulting to Joe’s Family for her to up and change it?
Can’t wait to hear what Tree comes up with as the reason for the name change.
She’s said that before she was making it easier for people(to pronounce it), and that she’s now using the correct pronunciation.
question: If Tree thinks Joo-dice is easier for us dumb Americans to pronounce then you would think she would stick to the dumb American pronunciation since we the ones that buy the cookbooks n such?

The italian pronounciation is jee-you-dee-che. Which drove me crazy when I was having to do on-camera reporting of this show when it started. Because then I looked like the idiot – and I’m italian!
Hi Ya Ms.MP, I’m upset about the kids go nowhere. She should leave Jerky Joe home, and tell the older girls that they can take turns going with mom. I just hate that these woman’s husband get all the perks, and screw the kids. The worst WWHL was Wretched and Slimey. Get a J-O-B you men! Slimey, that deadbeat scumbag, and Jerky Joe ripping off everyone he ever did business with! And these scumbags are living the dream!
Wow, if Tree really wants her own show then she will definitely need some speaking lessons. Wow, her stuttering, sputtering is so annoying.

OK guys.. I goggled how to pronounce Guidice… and got a forum where they discuss how to pronounce the name. Apparently joo-dice is the American pronunciation, and that it’s actually pronounced joo-di-che.

But she’s been saying Jo-dice since day one of RHONJ. That’s how juicy says his name and obviously how his parents say their name and they should know how to say their own name. IMO, Tree is the most bitchy, lowlife on any HW show… and that includes Staubby. Tree outright lies and lies and lies. You can see her brain twirling around when anyone asks her a question… she has to try and remember what she told someone else. That’s why she never answers a straight question with a straight answer. Notice her hands flying around when she talks, too. That’s to stall answering (in body language speak). Watched the repeat of the second ep of RHONJ yesterday and when Don Caro and friend asked Tree what went on at the christening while carving pumpkins at Jackie’s house. Tree never said one full sentence, her arms were flailing around, and she kept trying to evade answering by asking Don Caro/friend ‘what did you hear’ ‘what do you think went on’ and then when they suggested that she contact her brother she started the stuttering and arm flailing and said that she doesn’t know where he is or know where he works. When Don Caro said just go to his house, Tree got all flailing and stuttery and said that she can’t go to his house ’cause his wife is there. I’m holding any opinion about Melissa and Lil Joe back until more eps are shown, but Tree is a disgusting human being. She’s playing the ‘poor me’ act… ’cause my family got on the show and will probably tell people the truth about me and I never did anything to my family and family’s everything to me, I live for my family… but that doesn’t stop her from talking about Melissa and her brother and complaining that their being on the show is breaking up her family. I hope Tree and juicy both get jail time for fraud and submitting false records to bankruptcy court in July. Wonder what’s happening with juicy’s fake DL case??

Ummm, that’s what MOST cookbooks are. They are tweaks to old recipes. Why do you think you can find different versions of the same recipe in multiple cookbooks? Did you really think that every recipe that comes out in a cookbook is brand new, never been made in one form or another?

AJules: Are you familiar with cookbooks? Oh, Tree just came up her first cookbook title ‘Skinny Italian’ right off the top of her ape head? She took that right from Bethenny. The point was that Tree is a copycat. Capeesh?
Yes, recipes are tweeked ALL the time and put in cookbooks and on cooking shows… but the cookbooks also have some original recipes in them(or radical tweeking involved).
I think the point that is trying to be made from SH is that those “tweeks” are not out of this world.. it’s like, oh my father can’t have salt so I’m cutting out the salt from the recipe… it’s nothing really spectacular to change the recipe into someone’s own. Which is want makes the different between a chef and cook. A chef knows the chemistry of things and how to counter-act certain reactions. That’s probably why I could never be a chef nor a cook. LOL. I’m really bad at it.

I was thinking this from the first intro video Bravo released of her Nunya. I bet hers will be all green mother earth tofu and wheat grass natural food stuff… yet again another Bethanny wannabe.

TO ALL: SH read this “Insider’s” “interview” with great interest, as SH is not a fan of RCH since reading a comment left earlier this week re RCH poaching my site for her Shana/Traylor video, which turned out to be absolutely true. Always thought it was very coincidental, but never checked into it as I honestly did not think that anyone would do that. I have learned my lesson!
Therefore, anything that originates from her site, please read with the thought that it probably is not her own work. The “interview” seems a bit ‘too good to be true’ and you know what they say if something seems too good to be true— it probably is too good to be true. And, most importantly, the interview really did not supply any new information. Did we know that Tree is as dumb as a rock? Yes. Did we know that Tree’s parents are upset that Melissa and lil Joe joined the show? Duh! Is Tree a good enough cook to be putting out a cookbook? No… Now that’s groundbreaking! (…said sarcastically!)
The “Insider” who did the interview must not be too much of an insider. Could this be a planted, made-up interview to gain new and more readers at that site? Don’t know, but just sayin’.. SH
MS.SH, I was wondering why she kept using “Stoopid Housewives” as a reference on said interview. Like she thought you made up stories. For one thing, she only puts out one article a week, unlike you, it’s a constant. She likes to blog back and forth with her buddies, because it’s all about her. She is a big time pingbacker, and her few minions that boost her ego. I’ve always said her and IHATEJILLZARIN do it all the time. What happens to her site when there is no more Jill? cc/mc: SH does not make up any stories and am still in a bit of shock about the Shana/Traylor video. I was aware of the video when it came out and thought “Hmmm, she must have been on the very same track as me re Shana/Traylor.” But, when the date was pointed out just recently, indeed everything that was researched and written about on SH was on that video three or four days later. There are coincidences, but this was no coincidence as SH was the only site that had that info at the time. Sorry, but doing stuff like that results in bad karma.
