What Are You Doing This Weekend? Will Miami be Cancelled?

Soooo… what are you doing this weekend? Do you have an extra $10,000 that you desperately need to write off before taxes are due on April 15?  Would you spend $10k to gaze at celebs like Gloria Estefan, Dionne Warwick, Joe Francis, Evelyn Lozada, Bobby Flay, Gov. Charlie Crist and Real Housewives of Miami‘s Adriana de Moura?  Would you like to meet Elaine Lancaster and find out if she actually speaks? Would you like to maybe see Crispy Rice and her BFF Liquid Ice getting tossed out of a swanky soiree?

Oh, I was feeling very philantronpty… philosophizey… philanthrippony… I was just stoppin’ in ’cause I know that Lea needs my help, OK?

Well, if you’ve got the cash, the Black’s Annual Gala Benefit will be held at the Eden Rock Hotel this Saturday, April 2.

Gosh, Roy, you don’t think any of those kids would come to our house and rob us, do ya?   Oh, Lea, do you think we’re doing this whole ‘charity’ thing for the kids?  It’s an insurance policy to keep the kids away from us… the more money we throw their way, the faster they go away…

And as Crispy Rice has proven, you really need to cough up $10,000 if you want to samba around this event looking like a $1,000 hooker.  That’s because 100% of all ticket and silent auction proceeds go to the Consequences Charity and Foundation, which raises funds for education versus incarceration for over 7,500 at-risk youth.

“This is our 17th year doing our charity gala and raising money to give kids who are acting out opportunities for education, vocational training and exposure to the arts, in lieu of incarceration. Our work with the Juvenile Services Department of Miami-Dade is unprecedented in its ability to help these children envision a future beyond their current circumstances,” says founder and Real Housewife of Miami Lea Black.

Just keep in mind, that if you hit the red carpet at this fantastic celebrity gala without a ticket or check in hand, Bravo just might cast you a in lukewarm reality show and center the entire season around the fact that you never paid… and Marysol Patton might actually have something to do besides just walking around munching on hors d’oeuvres.

NOTE:  If Lea Black is not wearing a mic pack and there are no Bravo cameras at this event, that is a sure sign that the Real Housewives of Miami will not be back for season two… my bet would be no mic packs and no cameras… buh-bye, Miami.

On the RHOM finale tonight, lines are to be drawn and HWs are taking sides… well, here’s a big hint:  the only RHOM on the official site for the Black’s Gala are Adriana de Moura and Elaine Lancaster… :  http://www.theblacksannualgala.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=2

  1. Thanks for reminding us about the final tonight SHW—Why do I have trouble imagining that Kim & her entourage paid for a ticket at the “EVERYBODY pays” gala?
Who brings a child to an adult function like that?
I didn’t see the MH’s children being shown at the event.
Not that I think its a bad idea, but there was alcohol being served, not your typical, “family”-function.

Did anyone else receive an invite to a NJ Housewives fashion show recently? Seriously, they sent me one addressed to, “Housewifehater”. I’m thinking of going, maybe I will take my kids?
